Lia had been home for a few hours before Carla had to leave to collect the twins from Peter. They had to move back into Carla and Peter's old flat with Rob while Victoria Court was being renovated. Michelle had said Rob could move in with them for a bit while Carla and the girls had moved back in the old flat, which they had been really grateful for.
"Now, are you sure your going to be okay?" Carla asked as Lia rolled her eyes with a smirk, "No good rolling your eyes."
"Mum, that's the third time you've asked that in ten minutes," Lia scoffed, "I'll be fine, plus Michelle is only across the road if I need anyone."
"You were in hospital less than 24 hours ago and unconscious less than 48 hours ago. I am allowed to be worried," Carla rolled her eyes.
"I know mum, but I'm fine now," Lia sighed with a small smile, "Go on go and get the girls. They've been tortured for long enough with Peter."
"Lia," Carla warned with a smirk, "Love you."
"Love you mum," Lia smiled as Carla walked out the door and she switched the tele on.
About forty minutes later Lia looked at the time on her phone before turning the tele off and setting off out of the door. She walked down the cobbles towards the Platt's and knocked on the door to see Kylie answer it.
"Oh Bethany," Kylie sang answering the door, "Your little fire starting friend's here..."
"Kylie," Bethany and Sarah huffed as Kylie grinned and moved out of the way of the door to let Lia in.
"Hiya darling," Sarah smiled as Lia smiled back.
"Hiya," Lia smiled slightly taking a seat, "Listen Bethany I'm really sorry about the fire, we're hearing back from the detectives today but I think it was the oven that started the fire, when I heated the pizzas up."
"Hey its fine honestly, we're all okay. Bar this thing," Bethany laughed slightly pointing to the moonboot on her leg as Lia and Sarah smiled, "Plus it was all of us really. We should of checked it was off."
"And probably shouldn't of got hammered without anyone knowing," Sarah pointed out as Bethany sighed and rolled her eyes.
"Aha yes we know mother," Bethany nodded as Lia smirked.
"Right well I'm off out to town, do you girls want anything?" Sarah asked.
"No your alright, thanks though. I can't stay for too long," Lia smiled as Sarah nodded and went to leave.
"Popcorn please!" Bethany called after her as she nodded and left.
Lia left a while later and began walking along the street towards the flat before Carla got back.
"Oi missus!" A call came from across the street catching her attention from near the pub.
"Hi Chelle," Lia grinned sweetly as Michelle rolled her eyes.
"Carla's gonna flip her lid if when she finds out you've been out on your own," Michelle tutted as Lia walked over to Michelle.
"I'm not 5, I'm capable of walking down the street," Lia smirked.
"Yes but you've just got out of hospital," Michelle reminded her.
"Really!" Lia exclaimed sarcastically as Michelle sighed smirking, "Anyway just don't tell her I've been out."
"Whatever, just get in here, clearly your bored on your own," Michelle pouted.
"Oh drink on you, thanks Chelle!" Lia beamed.
"When do you ever pay," Chelle scoffed nudging her softly as they walked into the Rovers.
Not long after Carla had came back with the twins and decided to unload the car of their bags and toys before coming over to join her daughter and brother in the Rovers.
"Oh Lia, while your sat there do you mind just drying them glasses?" Liz asked placing a few glasses in front of Lia with a tea towel.
"Oh sorry Liz, I can't, I've just got out of hospital you see," Lia smirked as Rob scoffed.
"Just shut up and wipe up," Michelle rolled her eyes playfully as she rocked Fia in her arms.
"Oh what I can dry up glasses after being released from hospital but I can't walk along the street on my own," Lia mused as the door opened.
"No you can't," Carla smirked catching the end of the conversation.
"Whatever," Lia rolled her eyes before getting up off the stool and walking over to the twins, "Hey girls."
"I'm glad they get a hello," Carla teased as she turned the pushchair around.
"Yeah they do," Lia retorted as she grabbed Rosie and Carla grabbed Ava.
"Rob will you grab her I'm dying for the toilet," Carla asked as he reached out to take the little girl and began to bounce her on his knee.
Time went on as the four talked amongst themselves as they amused the children with little books Michelle had grabbed from the back.
"Oh it's like a little baby group in the corner," Liz mused coming over to Michelle and tickling Fia's feet making her giggle.
"And you wouldn't want it any other way," Michelle grinned as Liz did too.
"Come on Rosie, you say it..." Lia guided, "LLLLL...IIIIII...AAAA … Lia."
"Why are you even bothering," Carla laughed.
"Lia leave the kid alone she, you've got no chance," Rob chuckled.
"She's not even saying Mama yet and I'm the most important one," Carla smiled smugly as Rob and Lia looked at each other and rolled their eyes playfully.
"Yeah and what's the betting they'll say his name first," Lia sighed.
"Let's be real he's not with them enough for him to resemble anything to them," Rob added.
"Alright you two, God. I know I didn't choose the best person to have babies with but bloody hell your dragging me down," Carla scoffed.
"You could've chose much better though sis," Rob continued.
"Rob," Michelle choked a laugh at the constant comments, "Give her a break."
"Just saying," Rob mused.
"Come on you, lets go, leave Mr Bitterness to his pint," Carla laughed popping each baby in the pushchair one at a time.
"I need to go anyway," Rob rolled his eyes downing the last of his pint, "Meeting a mate in town. Talk a bit of business"
"Mr Important," Michelle teased as he rolled his eyes and left with a wave.
"Fancy coming over for tea Chelle?" Carla asked.
"And by that she means fancy coming over and ringing the Chinese place for our dinner," Lia translated with a grin.
"Cheeky," Carla nudged her with a smirk as Michelle laughed.
"Yeah sure," Michelle agreed, "Steve's out on the taxi's till late anyway."
"See you later love," Liz waved as they left the pub.
"If she gets too tired am I alright putting her down at yours babe?" Michelle asked Carla as they left the Rovers.
"Yeah course," Carla nodded.
They walked over to the flat above the shop and Carla began to place the key in the door when Simon ran past them, Leanne not far behind.
"Hiya Si," Lia greeted him, "Fancy that game of football when your feeling a bit better?"
"Yeah s-"
"Simon get away from her," Leanne shouted as she stormed over to them and put her hands on his shoulders, "She doesn't care about you, non of them do."
"Sorry," Carla scoffed.
"What do you mean I don't care about him," Lia scowled.
"You left a oven on and then got hammered and went to sleep with him in the building," Leanne spelled out as if they were stupid.
"We don't even know that's what happened yet?!" Carla exclaimed.
"It was a mistake! I didn't know he was there!" Lia defended.
"Just like your mother too bothered by the bottle and passing out than anyone else," Leanne bit.
"Oi," Carla called.
"I didn't know he was there! He was meant to be with Ken and Deirdre," Lia spat, "Anyway how dare you lecture me when you left your so called precious son to go and have a drink yourself."
"How dare you," Leanne growled.
"You were too busy trying to get your leg over your latest bunk up than where your son was anyway," Lia snarled, "I didn't see you getting your son out a burning building. Too busy tarting yourself up for Karl."
"Upstairs," Carla laminated as Lia whipped her head round.
"No why is it fair-!"
"Lia," Carla snapped before gritting her teeth, "Get upstairs, now."
Lia huffed loudly before pouting her lips together and storming upstairs pushing past Michelle and slamming the door.
"Congrats Carla, what a spiteful little bitch you have a raised-"
"Oi," Michelle shouted as Simon looked up to the three adults and ran off in the direction of the Barlow's.
"Aw Simon!" Leanne called after him.
Leanne went to walk off as Carla pulled her shoulder, "Leanne don't you ever have a go at my daughter again or I swear on her life, I will have you."
"Whatever," Leanne tutted before striding off in the direction of the Barlow's.
Silence loomed over the pair before Carla sighed, placing her hands on her head and turned to face Michelle.
"What was that," Carla sighed heavily.
"I don't know," Michelle replied, "But she can't half stand up for herself."
"Yeah I think we already knew that," Carla tutted.
"Babe, I'll take the girls back to mine, you go back see madam," Michelle suggested.
"They haven't been fed," Carla said as Michelle smiled.
"Stop worrying I will feed them okay," Michelle answered putting her hand on Carla's hand, "Ring me when its safe."
"When is it ever," Carla scoffed slightly, "Thank you."
Michelle smiled before she set off with Fia and the twins juggling between her daughter and the pushchair as Carla took a deep breathe and headed up the stairs.
"What the hell," Carla started as she opened the door to reveal her daughter's sobs.
Lia turned around to she her mum, her mascara running down her faces as the tears poured out of her eyes.
"Mum," Lia's voice broke as Carla sighed heavily before dropping her bag in the floor and taking her daughter into her embrace as she took a seat on the sofa.
They sat in silence for a while before Carla broke the silence, "Lia I need you to talk to me."
"I'm sorry I had a go at Leanne," Lia sniffed looking to her mum.
"I don't care about that sweetie," Carla softened before rephrasing slightly, "Well I do … but not right now."
"I'm just annoyed," Lia explained, "At myself, Leanne, even the stupid oven."
"We don't know what even caused the fire," Carla soothed trying to put a positive spin on the situation.
"We can take a pretty good guess," Lia snapped before her face softened, "Sorry."
"Lia it was a mistake, mistakes happen. Look how many things I've done wrong, I'm still here," Carla tried to reassure her.
"Mum," Lia started, "I'm so sure I didn't leave the oven on. Like positive."
"I know darling," Carla nodded.
"You do believe me, don't you," Lia asked.
"Of course I do, I will always believe you. Over anyone else," Carla answered
"I love you mum," Lia smiled as Carla hugged her.
"Not as much as I love you."
