"You look horrible!"

Tony rolled his eyes as he got some eggs from the refrigerator and placed them on the counter. He cracked a few in a bowl and began whipping them.

"Gee thanks a lot Mone!"

"Hey you're the one with bags under your eyes. So what's up? Late night studying or are you finally going to get off your butt and stop Angela from marrying Andy?"

"Mona, I don't own her. But, if you want to know, I had a horrible nightmare last night."

"Were you naked at the supermarket?"

"No.'

"Were you being chased by a creature that looks like Angela without makeup?"

"Mona!" Tony growled at her.

"Okay. Okay." Mona held up her hands and poured herself a cup of coffee. "So what was this nightmare about?"

"We were all at Angela's wedding to Andy."

Mona paused with her coffee cup half way to her lips. "UGH! No wonder you look terrible!" She sat down at the table. "They didn't actually get married did they?"

"Well Andy recited his vows and while he was doing that you and the kids kept begging me to stop Angela."

"And did you listen? Or are you as stubborn and pigheaded in your dreams as you are in real life?"

Tony got a frying pan out and turned on a burner. He sprayed the pan and waited for the burner to get hot. He then poured the eggs into it and whipped them around until he had a nice fluffy batch of scrambled eggs. He turned the burner off and placed the pan in the sink. He got out two plates and two forks and divided the eggs up. He placed one plate in front of Mona and sat down beside her.

"That's the weird thing. Angela was about to recite her vows when she turned to me and asked if I really wanted her to marry Andy?"

"HALLELUJAH! At least Angela had some sense."

"Mona, it was just a dream. It wasn't really Angela. I mean yeah it was but not the real Angela."

"Has it ever occurred to you that maybe the real Angela wants you to stop her? And you know that but you're too pigheaded to do anything about it so your dreams are manifesting things?"

"Mona that's…"

"What? Ridiculous? Or maybe there's a little truth to it." She took a bite of her scrambled eggs and waited for Tony's response.

"Mona, as I told you before I don't own her."

"Do you remember when Geoffrey proposed to her?"

"Yeah."

"And you told me it was her life."

"I remember."

"And I asked you if you were going to leave something that important up to her?!"

"Yeah, what about it?"

"Are you going to do the same thing now?"

"Mona, what do you expect me to do? I am involved with Kathleen."

Mona rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah. HER!"

"Wait a minute! I thought you liked her."

"I do. Look, she's a perfectly nice woman and Andy is a perfectly nice man."

"So then why do you call him Dr Doofus?"

"I just do that to irritate Angela."

Tony chuckled. "Of course."

"But seriously Tony don't you think that enough is enough?!"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean this, broadening your horizons and exploring your options nonsense that you and Angela have been doing these past few months."

Tony shrugged his shoulders. "Well, it's been working so far."

Mona nodded. "Yeah right. Like when you followed Angela and Christopher on their date?"

Tony cringed at the memory. It definitely wasn't one of his finer moments.

"Okay, yeah. I was jealous.."

"HALLELUJAH again!" she clapped. "Finally we're getting somewhere!"

Tony shook his head and took a bite of his eggs. "Mona, we're not getting anywhere. Angela and I are dating other people and that's that."

Mona sighed. "You know when I first found out about you and Kathleen I thought okay maybe for now this is what he needs. I figured you would go out on a couple of dates and that would be that. But, for some bone-head reason you want to keep up with this charade. I mean seriously Tony, how long are you going to put all of us through this stupidity?"

"What stupidity?" Sam asked, coming in through the back door.

"Oh you know. Tony dating Kathleen. Angela dating Andy."

Oh yeah. That!" Sam poured herself some coffee and sat down at the table.

Tony groaned. "Sam, not you too!"

"Yes, Dad. Me too!" she smiled.

"You know your Dad had a nightmare last night about Angela marrying Andy."

Sam paused with her cup half way to her lips. "They didn't actually get married did they?" she grimaced.

"No, if you must know when Angela was supposed to recite her vows she turned to me and asked me if I was going to stop her and if I really wanted her to marry Andy?"

"And?! Come on Dad, what did you say?"

"Nothing. My alarm went off."

Mona and Sam both groaned and dropped their heads on the table. After a moment they both sat up.

"Why am I not surprised?" Mona grumbled. "I mean of course your alarm went off at that exact moment."

"Dad, has it occurred to you that maybe this dream is a sign?"

"That's just what I told him!"

"Ladies, it wasn't a sign. It was well I don't know what it was. It was only a dream.'

"You mean nightmare." Sam reminded him.

"Look, I'm done talking about this. I have to go. I have a class in twenty minutes." He picked up his plate and fork and put them in the dishwasher.

"I'll see you both later." He walked out of the kitchen into the living room.

"Geez Mona! What's it going to take?!" Sam sighed and took a sip of her coffee.

"I don't know Sam. I mean you would think he would realize that the dream was a sign."

"Well, it's obvious that he doesn't. Or he does but just doesn't want to admit it.'

"Like I told him. He's stubborn and pigheaded."

Sam laughed. "Well maybe someday he'll actually do something about it."

"I hope so. The way things are going you'll probably be married before them!"

"
