Takes Place At The Same Time

"Sam, do you remember that club we went to a few years ago, Africa?"

Sam grimaced as the memories overcame her. "Oh yeah when Jesse and Max dumped us."

Mona waved her hand in the air. "Never mind that. I think I can get the owner to let us use one of the private rooms for Tony and Angela's little tete-a-tete."

"How Grandma?"

"Well lets just say he owes me a little favor." Mona grinned.

"Oh please Grandma I don't want to hear it!" Jonathan groaned.

"Grow up Jonathan!" Sam laughed. She turned to Mona. "Okay that sounds good. But how do we get Dad and Angela there?"

"Well Angela will be easy. I can tell her a client wants to meet there for drinks. But I'm not sure about Tony."

"Maybe one of his classmates wants to meet him for drinks?" Jonathan suggested,

"But who? No matter who we say it is, there's a chance Tony will see them beforehand and the cover will be blown." Mona said.

"I KNOW!" Sam squealed. "I'll be the other student!"

"You?" Jonathan raised his eyebrows.

"Yeah, I'll ask him to meet me there. I can tell him that we haven't spent that much time together-which is true- and this can be a little Father-Daughter get together.'

"Sam, that is brilliant!" Mona gave her the thumbs up.

Jonathan looked between the two women. "Okay so we are agreed on everything?"

Mona and Sam grinned at each other.

"I say we are." Sam said.

"Okay, so how about next Saturday?" Mona asked.

"Sounds good to me!"

"Me too!"

"Okay. I'll make the call." Mona got up from her chair, walked over to the phone on the wall and began dialing…

Angela had been outside Andy's apartment building for ten minutes. Every time she built up the courage to leave her jag a wave of doubt overcame her. Was marrying Andy really the right thing to do? She did like him and did enjoy the time they spent together and if they had met years ago she could see the two of them married. But that was before Tony came into her life. Before Tony captured and then broke her heart. Was that the only reason she was considering Andy's proposal? To stick it to Tony? Was that fair to Andy? Was that fair to herself? She groaned and laid her head back.

But what if Tony decided he wanted to marry Kathleen? If she turned down Andy's proposal there was a good chance she would be alone the rest of her life. She didn't want that. But then how could she marry a man she didn't love? But then again she didn't want to be alone the rest of her life and she did care about Andy so maybe marrying him was the best solution.

On the other hand, what if Tony decided to end things with Kathleen? If she agreed to marry Andy and that happened she would have no choice but to abide by her decision. After all, once she made a commitment that was it.

"Okay, I need to talk to someone about this. And I know just who that is!"

She picked up her car phone and dialed a number. She listened to it ring a few times before it was picked up.

"Hi, it's me. Can I come over? I really need your advice."

She listened for a few minutes.

"Okay, I'll be there in about ten minutes."

She hung the phone up, started the jag up, and drove out of the parking lot…

"Tony, aren't you going to stop me? Do you really want me to marry Andy?" Angela asked as tears fell down her face.

Tony looked around the church. Everyone was gone. It was just the two of them. He began walking towards her.

"Angela, all I want is for you to be happy."

"I was happy Tony. I was happy with you. Until you broke my heart."

Tony gulped. "I know I did. I am so sorry."

Angela walked down from the altar and began walking towards him. They met in the middle of the aisle.

"I'm going to ask you again. Do you really want me to marry Andy?"

Tony looked into her warm brown eyes, her elegant and beautiful face. He gently caressed his hand over her cheek. She was looking at him with a mixture of fear and hope in her expression.

"No."

"No?"

"No, I don't want you marrying Andy. I don't want you marrying any man. You belong with me. We belong with each other."

A smile overcame her face. "Oh Tony, I never thought I would hear you say that!"

Tony smiled and leaned in. He put his arm around her waist and captured her lips with his.

"TONY!"

"ANGELA!"

Tony and Angela broke apart. Andy was standing at the altar glaring at them. Likewise Kathleen was standing at the entrance of the church. Her glare matched Andy's. They both walked towards them.

'What the hell is going on here?!" Kathleen demanded her hands on her hips.

"It looks like your boyfriend is trying to steal my soon to be wife!"

Angela turned to Andy. "Andy, I am so sorry. I don't want to hurt you. But the truth is I love Tony."

"And I love Angela" Tony turned to Kathleen. "Kathleen. I am so sorry you had to find out like this. I never meant to hurt you."

"We never meant to hurt either one of you. Please believe that."

Kathleen rolled her eyes. "Oh please Tony! If you really love Angela then why did you have sex with me in that hotel room?"

Tony gulped. "Well I.." He cleared his throat. "Kathleen that was. I just got caught up in the moment."

Kathleen threw her head back and laughed. "Oh that is rich! Okay yeah. You just got caught up in the moment." She stood in front of him and stared deeply in his eyes. "So I guess all those other moments don't count right? If all that night was you getting caught up in the moment the two of us wouldn't have started dating."

"And Angela and I wouldn't be getting married." Andy smirked.

Kathleen looked over at Andy. "Well Andy you know what we have to do?"

Andy grinned. "That I do."

Without another word Andy picked Angela up and threw her over his shoulder.

"Andy? What are you doing?" Angela gasped.

"I'm taking you away. Tony had his chance and he blew it!"

"Tony! Please stop him!" Angela begged.

"Andy let her go!" Tony said angrily, his eyes flashing.

Andy and Kathleen both laughed. Andy started walking away with Angela. Tony tried to grab on to Angela but before he could Kathleen dragged him away by the arm.

"You're coming with me Tony! Enough of this bullshit!" She snapped.

Tony looked on helplessly as Andy carried Angela away.

"TONY!"

"ANGELA!"

Tony shot up out of bed. "ANGELA!" he cried. He looked around. He was in his room. Oh man that was some dream. "Okay just take a couple of deep breaths." He breathed in and out. He got up and left his room and went across the hall to the bathroom. He splashed some water on his face and then dried off. He left the bathroom and went back to his room.

He closed the door and started pacing. "Okay it was only a dream. Angela hasn't decided to marry Andy. And she probably won't. You just have to let things ride out."

But the truth was the dream shook him to the core. He could still see Andy walking away with Angela and hear Angela screaming for him. She had sounded so scared. He knew of course that in reality Andy would never hurt her. But he just couldn't get the image of Angela out of his mind.

He sat down on the bed. He couldn't let this go on any longer. He had to do something and do it fast.

"I can't lose her." He whispered. "I can't let her marry Andy."

"Angela! Come in!" Isabelle motioned for her to enter.

Angela walked into Paul and Isabelle's house.

"Here give me your coat."

Angela took her coat off and handed it to Isabelle who hung it in the hall closet.

"Okay Wendy is in the living room"

They walked into the living room where Wendy was sitting in a chair. On the coffee table were three glasses of wine and a tray of cheese and crackers.

"Have a seat." Isabelle gestured at the couch.

Angela and Isabelle sat down on the couch.

"Okay Angela out with it! What is going on?" Wendy asked, taking a sip of her wine.

Angela looked between her two oldest and dearest friends.

"I'm thinking of accepting Andy's proposal."
