Episode 286: The Rise of the Black Sun Clan Part 2
Last time, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel were led out of the forest with help from the Battle Palaca Maven Spenser and they went to the local Pokémon Center to heal Grovyle, Fearow, and Tropius, and do some training as well.
When they were having their dinner, a girl named Maya Lotus approached Sora, intending to go out on a date with him, but Kairi stepped in and told her that Sora was her boyfriend, so Maya challenged her into a Pokémon battle and Kairi accepted. Maya's Blaziken managed to have the upper hand due to typings, but despite the disadvantage she had, she managed to defeat Maya's Blaziken. Shortly after running off from her defeat, Maya is approached by the mysterious Wiseman who says he can help her gain her revenge on Kairi for her loss, and awaken a power that slept within her, or so he said. With the darkness at his side, Wiseman has deemed Maya's alter ego as "the Dark Maiden".
And so on, Kairi had a second nightmare, witnessing her friends and family to vanish before her eyes, and that's when Kairi's family contacted her and told her of her blood ties with the Crystal Maiden, who defeated the evil Doom Bishop and the organization known as the Black Sun Clan centuries back. Meanwhile, Wiseman speaks with the newly revived Black Sun Clan that the time for vengeance has arrived and finish their unholy mission to bring the world into utter chaos.
Not too long after learning this information from Kairi's family, Maya Lotus, under the guise of the Dark Maiden has launched her attack. She was taken by surprise by Kairi's abilities to wield the Keyblade, but she managed to defeat the Dark Maiden for the moment with the crystal magic she was told she had.
It was shortly after the attack by the Dark Maiden, Sora, Kairi, Lisia, Pikachu, and Angel continued on their travel, being even more vigilant. Suddenly, Kairi's Rotom Phone starts ringing.
"I'll get that," Kairi said. She saw it was Rei calling. She answered it. "Hey, Master Rei."
"Kairi, your parents told me everything that's going on. Are you alright?" Rei asked.
"Yes, we're fine, Master," Kairi said.
"I'm glad. I sensed a great disturbance and I made contact with your parents after they made contact with you. Have you made contact with this Black Sun Clan?" Rei asked.
"We don't know. We had a rub-in with someone calling herself the Dark Maiden," Kairi said.
"She's been interested in defeating Kairi and not me," Sora said.
"But I think she's got something to do with the Black Sun Clan, so we don't know if it was them who attacked us or not," Kairi said.
"But you do know it's troubling. We're not certain until they make their move, so I urge you three to be careful," Rei said.
"Yes, Master," Sora and Kairi said.
"We'll keep you in the loop if anything happens," Lisia added.
"I appreciate it. I'll let the others know about this. I'm sure they'll help if they're close to your position," Rei said.
"We'll keep an eye opened for them," Sora said.
"You do that," Rei said. She breaks contact with Sora, Kairi, and Lisia.
Meanwhile, Axel was walking through the forest, maintaining his cover in protecting Roxas and Xion, and keep a watchful eye out for the Organization. He then stopped, having a suspicion that he was being followed. He summoned his Eternal Flames and threw them. The Black Sun Clan jumped out of hiding. They were wearing dark blue clothes and masks concealed their identifies. They had the Black Sun's symbol tattooed on their bodies.
"Hm, those are interesting costumes you're wearing. You're never going to win the costume contest if you're all wearing the same thing," Axel said.
"Member of Organization XIII, you are given a warning to vacate from here at once!" One of the Black Sun members said.
"Okay, I'm not sure if you've been following current events, but I split from that crowd sometime ago. And who are you exactly?" Axel asked.
"We are the Black Sun Clan, and we consider you an enemy if you choose to fight us!" The same Black Sun member said.
"Okay, I get that's why you're following me. But when you go and bark out orders like I was a child, then I feel that I should do something about it," Axel said.
"One more word out of you, and we will kill you, Nobody!" The first Black Sun member threatened.
"You're going to have to try," Axel said, re-summoning his Eternal Flames. "Who's first?" The Black Sun Clan members took out different weapons to engage the fire-elemental Nobody. They had different brands of swords: broadswords, longswords, short swords, cutlasses, scimitars, sabers, claymores, katanas, odachis, rapiers; they also carried axes, daggers, maces, clubs, chakrams, and spears. One of the members rushed at Axel with a mace, but he used his Eternal Flames to block his attack, so Axel pushed him back. Another one came at Axel with an odachi, but Axel gave her a kick in the stomach. Several more rushed at Axel, but he swings his chakrams to defend himself, and he easily overpowered the Black Sun members. Axel uses the power of fire to blast them away, but more kept coming at him. Axel. He managed to defeat them all. "I told you that you'll try."
"We won't forget this, Organization XIII scum! You will soon feel the burn of the Black Sun Clan!" The first Black Sun member said as they staggered and ran off.
"Black Sun Clan? What did I just walk into?" Axel asked.
Days have passed and so far, things were quiet. No signs of the Black Sun Clan at all. Not too long, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, and Marill have met up with them.
"Good to see you're okay," Ethan said.
"Yeah, Master Rei filled us in about the situation," Brendan said.
"So we thought we'd come looking for you and help," Lyra said.
"Marill," Marill said.
"I appreciate it, guys," Kairi said.
"Vee," Angel said.
"We can use the extra help because those guys might show up at anytime," Sora said.
"Pika," Pikachu said.
"We're glad to be of help to you, guys," May said.
"Yeah, if they pick a fight with you, then they picked a fight with us," Kris said.
"And that's their mistake," Ethan said.
With that said, the numbers of the Keyblade wielders agreed to watch each other's backs and keep an eye opened for any signs of the Black Sun Clan. When they made a stop, it was revealed that May's Torchic has evolved into a Combusken and she also caught herself a Munchlax not long after that. Munchlax was let out on its own accord and starts eating the freshly picked berries.
"May, your Munchlax is at it again!" Lyra exclaimed.
"I'm on it," May said, taking out her PokéBlock case. She popped out a pink PokéBlock. "Here, Munchlax! Try May's Pink Surprise!" May threw it right at the Big Eater Pokémon. Munchlax jumped and ate the PokéBlock and then its stomach just extends and fell right to sleep.
"What did you just do?" Sora asked.
"I just fed Munchlax something I call 'May's Pink Surprise'," May answered.
"How did you come up with something like that, May?" Kairi asked.
"She actually got the recipe from Professor Oak when she was trying to control Munchlax's uncontrollable appetite," Ethan replied.
"It was after May's attempt at making delicious PokéBlock kinda took a downhill spiral," Max said.
"In other words, the Pokémon just didn't like how it tasted," Ethan said. Marill shivered with discomfort when she was thinking about the unpleasant taste.
"And that was when Munchlax came along and liked it no matter what," Lyra said.
"Well, it's a known fact that a Munchlax aren't picky eaters, so it wasn't even bothered by the unpleasant taste. And when Munchlax was eating everyone else's berries, May threw a Pokéball at Munchlax to catch it, but Munchlax just munched on the Pokéball," Brendan said.
"Munchlax ate the Pokéball? Then how did May even catch him?" Kairi asked.
"Believe or not, the Pokéball opened from inside of Munchlax. I didn't know how it could have worked, but there was no use in arguing with results. But I had to wash that Pokéball before I could even touch it with my bare hands," May said.
"When I told that to Professor Elm, he almost dropped his glasses, not thinking it would have been possible," Ethan said. Pikachu, Angel, and Marill's ears perked up up without warning, knowing someone was coming. Everyone assumed it was the Black Sun Clan, making their move.
"Somebody's coming," Lisia said.
"Max, get behind me," May said. Max gets behind his sister as Ethan and Brendan got ready to summon their Keyblades. "Who's there?" May got her answer when Maya walked up. Kairi sighed in irritation when she saw it was her.
"You again," Kairi groaned.
"Hi, Sora," Maya lovingly greeted. "I missed you so much." She went up to Sora to hug him and squeezed him tight.
"It's only been a few days ago," Sora wheezed as she kept squeezing him.
"It feels like a few years," Maya said. Kairi puffed her cheeks in jealousy. Max was close to snickering, but May just shushed him.
"Don't. Just don't," May whispered. Kairi pulled Maya right off her boyfriend.
"I think I'll thank you for trying to steal my boyfriend from me, Maya!" Kairi hissed.
"Oh, it's you. Karey, was it?" Maya asked.
"Kairi," Kairi said.
"Whatever," Maya scoffed.
"Look, I told you that Sora isn't going to be your boyfriend, so I'm going to ask you to give it up!" Kairi said.
"And I think I told you that I don't see your name on him," Maya argued.
"He's not a prize to be won!" Kairi argued. "I believe we settled that argument the other day!"
"I told you that I wouldn't forget it, didn't I?" Maya pointed out.
"How could I forget, but you did forget what I said to you when you ran off!" Kairi said. Kairi and Maya glared at each other again with lightning shooting between them again, but more fiercely than the last time.
"Is it me or am I picturing a Zangoose and a Seviper coming through those two?" Ethan asked.
"If it was, then I wouldn't say anything," Kris said.
"Back up, the both of you," Sora said, breaking the girls up. "Look, there's no competition going on. Like I said before, my eyes are only on you, Kairi. And they always will be." Kairi just smiled at that, making Maya a bit angry. "Maya, I already told you that I have no interest in cheating on my girlfriend, so you'll have find someone else to call your boyfriend."
"Sure, whatever," Maya said, walking off. They just watched her take her leave from the group.
"Well, she took that well," Lyra said.
"Too well if you ask me," May said. Lyra looked at May.
"Why do you say that?" Lyra asked.
"Because I've felt something off about her. Something I don't know how to explain, but I only know that I don't like it," May said.
"You know something, I felt it, too. I think we all did," Lyra said. Lyra and May looked at Ethan, Kris, and Brendan, noticing how uneasy they looked. Sora and Kairi also felt uneasy, unsure why they were just feeling it. Just then, several members of the Black Sun came and quickly surrounded the group.
"We're surrounded!" Max exclaimed.
"Who are you?" Brendan asked. Kairi took a good look at the symbol of the Black Sun Clan and gasped.
"It's them! They're the Black Sun Clan!" Kairi exclaimed.
"Yes. And we have come to kill you. You will not interfere with the plans of the Black Sun Clan!" One of the Black Sun members said.
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" Sora said, summoning the Kingdom Key and a new Keyblade. The blade of the Keyblade is silver and the teeth are a spiked ball. The guard and hilt are designed from the hilt of the Vampire Killer whip. The token is the cross. This Keyblade shall be known as the Vampire Hunter. The rest of the Keyblade wielders summoned their Keyblades and engaged the Black Sun Clan members. The Pokémon launched their attacks on the Black Sun members, like Bulbasaur smacking them with her Vine Whip, and May's Combusken firing a Fire Spin.
The Black Sun Clan members were about to engage them something unexpected happened. A pair of dice is seen flying and hitting the Black Sun members. Everyone turned to see a teenage boy with green eyes and black hair in a ponytail and a mark on his right eye. He wore a black shirt under a red vest and black pants. He wore a red bandana with black diamond shapes on it. He had a dye on his right ear and he wore gold bands on his arms.
"What's this I see? Just a bunch of weak little punks picking a fight with some kids? A bunch cowards if you ask me," the teenage boy said, holding up some more dice.
"Begone! This concerns you not!" The first Black Sun member said.
"I'm making it my business!" The teenage boy said, throwing his dice, hitting them. He looked over to the group. "Hurry! Go!" Not needing to be told twice, the group ran past the Black Sun Clan. They weren't willing to let them get away that easily.
"After them, you fools!" The first Black Sun member exclaimed. The members of Black Sun gave chase when a black Charizard came and fired a Flamethrower right at them as an Electabuzz gave them quite a shock they wouldn't forget. The two Pokémon went in the direction of the group.
"They've escaped!" Another Black Sun member said.
"I know that, you idiot! I have eyes! The girl may have evaded us this time, but we're going to have another chance," the first Black Sun member said.
Over to the group, they dismissed their Keyblades as they ran. They soon met up with five familiar faces, plus two new ones. Much to Sora and Kairi's surprise, it was Yugi, Téa, Joey, Tristan, and Mai.
One of the new people is a teenage boy with white hair and brown eyes. He wore a blue opened shirt over a light blue and white horizontally striped t-shirt and dark blue jeans.
The other is young teenage girl with long auburn brown hair and gentle dull greenish eyes. She wore light blue denim shorts and long white socks with blue sneakers. Her top is a sleeveless pink and white shirt with a high collar that is worn on top of a short-sleeved yellow shirt.
"Sora, it's been a long time," Yugi said with a smile.
"Yugi? Joey, Tristan?" Sora asked.
"Téa? Mai?" Kairi asked.
"You know them?" May asked.
"Yeah, we know them," Kairi said. "We met them back in Domino City when Team Rocket were going to frame Kaiba Corps president Seto Kaiba for Pokémon trafficking. I'm actually surprised to see them here."
"Yug decided that we went on our own journey just a month ago. And we thought of the Hoenn region," Joey said.
"So we heard that you were here, and we thought we'd see you at some point," Téa said.
"And it looks like we were right on the mark," Tristan said.
"So where are Ash, Leaf, and Tracey? And who're they?" Mai asked, pointing to the rest of the group.
"Oh, right, you haven't met. Well, to answer your question, Tracey's at Pallet Town because he became Professor Oak's assistant. Also, Ash and Leaf are here in the Hoenn region, and I'm sure you'll run into them, too. Anyway, this is Ethan along with his girlfriend, Kris, and the girl with the Marill is Lyra. The other boy is Brendan, and the girl in the bandana is May, and the kid in the glasses is her little brother, Max, and the girl with the turquoise hair is Lisia. Guys, meet Yugi Muto, Téa Gardner, Joey Wheeler and Tristan Taylor. And you're your friends here?" Sora asked.
"Yeah, we never met you before," Kairi said.
"I'm Duke Devlin. I heard about you from Yugi when we spoke," Duke said.
"Well, thanks for the save, Duke," Sora said.
"This girl here is my little sister, Serenity," Joey introduced.
"It's finally nice to put some faces on your names. I couldn't wait to meet you," Serenity said.
"And my name is Bakura. It's a pleasure to meet you," Bakura said.
"Likewise. Just how did you find us?" Sora said.
"I can answer that," Duke spoke up. "We were out here, doing our traveling when we heard a sound going on. So I went on ahead to see what it was, and I saw you guys, fighting those freaks. I was surprised when I saw you holding big keys and using them like swords. I didn't like what I saw, so I had to step in and get you guys out of there. I guess those were Keyblades Mai mentioned before."
"Keyblade?" Serenity asked.
"We might as well show you since you know," Sora said. Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May summoned their Keyblades, showing them.
"So that's what Keyblades look like," Bakura said.
"You weren't kidding. I'd like one of those," Joey said.
"You'd have to be chosen to hold one, Joey," Mai said.
"You didn't need to rain on my parade, Mai," Joey said.
"I saw that you had an extra Keyblade to fight off those guys. Speaking of which, who were they? Whoever they were, I could tell that they weren't very fond of you," Duke said.
"They were from an organization calling itself the Black Sun Clan," Kairi said.
"Black Sun Clan?" Téa asked.
"We don't know that much about them, but what we do know is that those guys are bad news," Kris said.
"And we found that out the hard way," Brendan said.
"We learned about the Black Sun Clan from my parents. They filled me in about being descended from the Crystal Maiden," Kairi said.
"Crystal Maiden? I think I heard about that. From what I remember about it, she defeated someone calling himself Doom Bishop. But I always thought it was a bedtime story," Téa said.
"Well, Kairi's folks said that they're real," Ethan said.
"Doom Bishop was trying to fill the world with hatred, upsetting the balance of light and darkness. The Crystal Maiden stopped him from doing so by sending him into the Underworld where he dwells for all time," Kairi said.
"The Underworld? You mean as in-?" Joey paused.
"As in Hell, Joey. The one place where rapists, murderers, and child abusers go when they die," Tristan said.
"That's one way to put it, Tristan," Sora said.
"Is reason that the Black Sun Clan after you because of your bloodline with the Crystal Maiden, Kairi?" Bakura asked.
"That's right. Until we defeat them, they're going to keep being a threat to me and my family. It's a curse that has to be broken," Kairi said.
"And we're going to help every step of the way," Sora said.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu said.
"Eevee!" Angel said.
"You got that right, Sora," Kris said.
"Those Black Sun made your fight our fight when they attacked us, and they're going to wish they hadn't," Brendan said.
"We know those Black Sun goons won't give up, but we can take those jerks on with or without Keyblades," Joey said.
With that said, the group have prepared for the fight against the Black Sun Clan when they attack again, and they all knew they eventually will.
Meanwhile, Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill walk through the forest, after being filled in about the Black Sun Clan. Riku knew they will make themselves known to them soon, and he will have to be ready.
The Black Sun Clan made themselves known when they were following them. Riku sensed that someone was following them, and they gave off a sent of darkness. Naminé detected it, too. Before she could turn around to look, Riku placed his hand on her shoulder.
"Don't look, Naminé. It's them," Riku whispered.
"You mean the Black Sun Clan that the Master warned us about? If they're enemies of Kairi and her family, then why are they following us?" Naminé whispered back.
"They must know that we're friends with her and that we will fight them to protect her. We can take them," Riku whispered.
"We sure can," Naminé agreed.
Several members quickly surrounded the couple and they drew out their weapons, ready to take them. Knowing a fight was coming, Riku and Naminé summoned their Keyblades. Riku summoned another Keyblade in his hand. It is similar in shape to the Kingdom Key, though it is black and has a longer reach. The hilt guard is comprised of two bat-like wings extending downward. The teeth are in the shape of the Kanji for "darkness" The Keychain's token is a black version of Sora's crown necklace. A chain-like design runs up the length of the blade. There is also a diamond in its hilt also resembles a diamond in the original logo of Hollow Bastion. This Keyblade is known as the Oblivion.
"Keyblade wielders. They're allied with the girl who descends from the Crystal Maiden!" One of the Black Sun members said.
"Kill them both," another Black Sun member said. They rushed at them, but they clashed their Keyblades with their weapons. Naminé casts a flower spell, hitting them as Riku jumped in the air.
"Take this!" Riku said, throwing his Keyblades in the air and unleashed a dark fireball at the Black Sun members, striking them. Riku caught the Braveheart and Oblivion in his hands.
They fought off the Black Sun members to the best of their abilities. Naminé struck one down as Riku gave another a kick and pushed him down. One of the female members tries to chop Naminé with a pair of tomahawks, but thanks to Naminé's training, she managed to dodge with ease. Eevee fired Shadow Ball and Azurill fired Water Gun. The fight went on right until a blast of light hits them. It turns out that it was Rei, Ash, and Leaf, running up to them. Ash points his Fire Red Charizard ahead.
"Flare!" Ash shouted. A massive burst of fire struck the Black Sun members, sending them flying. Leaf points her Leaf Green Venusaur ahead.
"Light!" Leaf shouted as light shines and struck the Black Sun members, blinding them. Ash, Leaf, and Rei joined Riku, Naminé, Eevee, and Azurill. As the fight went on, a pair of familiar chakrams flew and the Black Sun members ducked their heads before they were hit. Axel then arrived and rushed in and gave one of them an uppercut in the chin. The fight ends with the Black Sun members beaten. Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Rei, Eevee, and Azurill have taken some injuries of their own. They all heavily panted.
"Good of you to come, Axel," Rei said.
"Well, what can I say. I couldn't let you have all the fun," Axel panted.
"We haven't seen you since the Heartless attacked Rustboro City. I'm glad that you're safe," Naminé said.
"I couldn't leave you to deal with those jokers. Had a run-in with them earlier and they made a mistake by picking a fight with me," Axel said.
"Huh, these guys did the same thing with us," Riku said.
"You may have won the battle, but I assure you that you'll lose the war. The blood of the Crystal Maiden will be extinguished and the world will be in hateful chaos, as it is destined to be," another one of the Black Sun members said.
"I doubt it. The black sun's gonna set and never rise again," Rei said.
Meanwhile, joined by Yugi and his friends, Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, Pikachu, Angel, and Marill made a stop for the night as Sora, Kairi, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, and Lisia shared their story about Rei teaching them since there's more to wielding a Keyblade than they know, and about their past experiences since the Johto region. They also shared about Ben Blaze and seeing Xemnas, Organization XIII's superior.
"Sounds like you've been through a lot," Yugi said.
"You have to be there to know the half of it, Yugi," Sora said.
"I find it hard to believe that you're the same kid who put the kibosh on Team Rocket and had their boss thrown in jail," Tristan said.
"They really crossed the line by trying to steal our Pokémon from us. There wasn't a line they wouldn't cross," Sora said.
"Pikachu," Pikachu said.
"The same can be said for the Black Sun Clan when they decided to mess with us," May said.
"Butch, Cassidy, and those other three Team Rocket losers were just amateurs compared to these guys," Téa said.
"Well, they're not the only guys to worry about. There's also Organization XIII, Zell, and the Elemental Bosses out there," Brendan said.
"Yeah, and those guys are tough," May added."There's no telling when they'll come at us," Lisia said."I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't wanna talk about it anymore," Kairi said."I feel the same way. I think I'd rather talk about something else," Yugi said.
"Like what?" Ethan asked."Literally anything," Yugi said."I'm game. In fact, I think I have the perfect distraction," Duke said, taking out some that night, the group fell asleep after playing Duke's dice game and spoke about some things. Sora woke up in the middle of the night, and he felt thirsty.
"Gotta get something to drink to lull me back to sleep," Sora said in his thoughts. It was a good thing that Bakura had pointed out that there was a clean pond to get some water, so Sora took out his canteen and went off to fill it and drink from to Kairi, she's dreaming again, but it was about Sora. She saw that her relationship with her boyfriend was at risk because the Dark Maiden was embracing him. Kairi ran up to her boyfriend to stop him.
"Sora, stop! Get away from her!" Kairi exclaimed. Sora and the Dark Maiden turned to look at her.
"Who are you?" Sora asked, acting like he didn't know her.
"Sora, don't joke around like that! You know me! It's Kairi!" Kairi said.
"Who?" Sora asked.
"Don't listen to her, my darling. She's trying to deceive you with her lies," the Dark Maiden said.
"You're right. She won't fool me!" Sora said, summoning his Kingdom Key and rushes at her. Kairi summoned her Destiny's Embrace and used it to block Sora's assault.
"Sora, listen to me! She's the deceiver! She's done something to you!" Kairi said.
"No, she hasn't! I don't know what your game is, but it won't work!" Sora said.
"Sora, stop!" Kairi pleaded, trying to overpower him. The Dark Maiden just smiled wickedly. Kairi looked right at her. "You! What have you done?" The Dark Maiden said nothing. "Answer me!" Kairi demanded.
"You're going to sink into the darkness while I spend my life with Sora!" The Dark Maiden said as she blasted darkness right at her. Kairi woke up and panted.
"What a terrible dream," Kairi said between pants. She turned to see Sora was out of his sleeping bag. "Sora?" She then sensed something in the air and she knew it didn't seem good. "Oh, no!" She rushes to get to Sora's side before it's too late.
Over to Sora, he fills up his canteen and he then drinks out from it. He gave a satisfying sigh.
"That hits the spot. Now to head back to bed before anyone notices I'm gone," Sora said just when he was about to take off. He saw Maya in front of him. "Maya?! What are you doing here in the middle of the night?"
"I came here to claim you as my boyfriend, lover boy," Maya said. Sora groaned as he just had his fill of her advances.
"Look, Maya, for the last time, I don't have any feelings for you! I mean, you can't just force someone in being in love with you, so I'm going to turn you down, and you're going have to accept the fact that I love Kairi and not you!" Sora sternly stated.
"That can change," Maya said as her eyes gave off a purple glow.
"What do you think you're-" Sora's question was cut off when his eyes off the same purple glow and he's now in a trance. Maya grinned, knowing it was working. Kairi have arrived a little further from Sora and she stopped when she saw Maya in front of her boyfriend.
"Maya?! What is she doi-" Kairi paused when she sensed a vibe coming from Maya. She quietly approached even further to have a better look and she gasped when Sora was in a trance.
"Now, listen to the sound of my voice. From this moment on, your love and devotion will be hereby transferred over to me. You will love and worship me, and me alone," Maya said. Kairi gasped when she realized what she was trying to do.
"That witch!" Kairi hissed.
"Furthermore, you must forget that you ever knew that girlfriend of yours. She never existed," Maya said. Kairi didn't like how that sounded, so she summoned her Keyblade. "The pact will become official when my lips shall meet with yours." She wrapped her arms around Sora and she moved in to kiss her, but the attempted kiss is interrupted when Kairi shoots a beam of light, sending Sora and Maya into the water. Sora stood up, shaking his head when he saw he was in the pond.
"Geez, what was that about?! What just happened?!" Sora exclaimed.
"Sora!" Kairi called out as she dismissed her Keyblade and ran up to her boyfriend. She then took him in her arms.
"Kairi, what's going on? And why am I in the pond?" Sora asked.
"I'm sorry, Sora, I had to stop her from manipulating you into becoming her boyfriend!" Kairi said.
"Manipulating me? What are you talking about?" Sora asked.
"Maya was hypnotizing you into becoming hers and make you forget about me. Luckily I got here before it was too late," Kairi said. Sora was now angered and appalled by what Maya tried to do.
"Maya, that does it! Trying to come between me and Kairi is one thing I can forgive! But what I won't forgive is the fact you tried to mess with my head by making me forget about Kairi! Why is it so hard for you to accept that I'm with someone else?" Sora angrily asked. Maya was even angrier than Sora when a burst of darkness rose up and surrounded her.
"How dare you interrupt me! Thrice, you stood in my way!" Maya roared with rage.
"Thrice? What are you talking about?" Kairi asked.
"Oh, I guess I'll just show you what I'm talking about!" Maya said as she then transformed right in front of the couple, shocking them both. Maya's hair, dress, and shoes have become black. They gasped in horror when they looked at her. "What do you think? Don't I look pretty?"
"Maya?! You're the Dark Maiden?!" Kairi gasped.
"I am! It was bad enough you defeated me in that battle, and again when we met for the second time, and now, you foil my chance to make Sora Ketchum mine! I will never forgive you for that Kairi! I hate you for it! Now, DIE!" The Dark Maiden roared as she unleashed a burst of blood-red energy at Sora and Kairi.
