"The building's burning!"
"But there are people in there!"
"We have to go!
"I can't leave them inside. Get as far away as you can!"
"BIG BROTHER!"
*BOOM*
"Guah!" A gasp escaped the mouth of a certain young man as he jolted awake.
"Jesus. You okay, kid?" The taxi driver asked while looking at the young man in his car through his rear view mirror.
"Ummm… yeah. Just had a bad dream." The young man answered while rubbing his eyes. "Sorry about that."
The driver kept his eye on his passenger for a few seconds before shrugging, focusing his attention on the road. "Whatever. Considering how long the drive is, I guess sleep isn't the worst way to kill time. But we're almost there."
Hearing this, the young man turned his head to look out the window, seeing the new place that would be his home away from home.
Tokyo.
The buildings were tall, with some of them advertising different products such as sodas and cosmetics. There were also several people standing outside, offering multiple flyers to those walking by. The young man even saw some people playing instruments, gathering a small crowd.
'Kinda reminds me of home.' The young man thought as he rested his head against the window, the taxi passing by what seemed to be a shrine. Reaching into his pocket, the young man took out his smartphone to alleviate his boredom.
However, once he did, something appeared on the screen that made him raise a brow.
"The hell?" Rather than seeing his home page like usual, the young man found a strange app at the center of the screen. The app's logo was an ominous red eye with a black star for a pupil against an ominous black starburst, as if it was shattering a mirror. Frowning as he never recalled installing such a thing, the young man deleted it before it could do any harm.
Eventually, the taxi stopped on the sidewalk of a backstreet called Yongen-Jaya. "Alright, we're here." The driver announced as he put the car in park, unlocking the trunk. The teen exited the vehicle before putting on his black backpack and grabbing a dark navy suitcase. "You sure you got everything?"
"I do. Thanks for the ride." The teen thanked the driver, who nodded before driving off.
Taking in the sites around him, Kinji Tohyama took a deep breath before he began to walk forward, his wavy black hair being brushed by the wind.
"Okay, let's see where the house is." Reaching into his pocket, Kinji took out a piece of paper, which had the words "Kotetsu T. Kaburagi" on it. "It says the name, but not any actual directions. Thanks grandpa." Letting out a sigh, Kinji put the paper away and proceeded to move forward.
Much to his slight surprise, the backstreets of Nishikikoji were actually fairly busy, with several people scattered around, minding their own business. On his right were several apartment buildings while on his left, there were several small businesses: a bath house, a batting cage, and even a small pharmacy. Kinji even passed by severely thrift stores that sold several items at very reasonable prices.
"Hey, son. Everything alright?" Kinji stopped walking and turned his head, seeing a police officer staring at him.
"Yeah. Everything's fine. Just looking for someone." Kinji answered honestly as the officer narrowed his eyes a little. After seeing no ill intent in the young teen's eyes, the officer relaxed and gave a smile.
"Okay then. Do you need any help?" The officer offered politely.
"Actually, yeah." Kinji took out the paper and showed it to the officer. "I'm looking for the Kaburagi home. Do you know where that is?"
"Kotetsu? Of course I know him! He's one of the best taxi drivers around. Hell, he's driven around everyone here once or twice." The officer answered, much to Kinji's slight surprise. "Keep going down here, then take the second right. His house is the second one on your left."
"Thank you." Kinji put the paper away and gave the officer a bow before walking away. 'I guess he's more popular than I thought.' Remembering the directions, Kinji turned right and went down to the third house to the left. True to what the officer said, he found a two story house with a red roof on top, as well as a name plate that had the name 'Kaburagi' on it. "Here we go…" Kinji reached for the doorbell and pressed it, hearing a buzzing sound from the inside.
…
…
…
"Huh?" Kinji raised a brow as no one had come to answer. He pressed the doorbell again, yet like before, no one came to answer it. He was about to press it again…
"Oh, are you looking for Kotetsu?" One of the neighbors spoke up, holding onto their dog's leash.
"Umm, yeah? Why?" Kinji answered.
"If he's not here, he's usually hanging out at his mom's cafe, Cafe Midnight." The neighbor told him before pointing to the left. "If you keep going down here, take a left and go down four buildings. You can't miss it."
"Huh. Grandpa never mentioned that." Kinji muttered before he thanked the neighbor, following his directions. He eventually arrived at a small shop with the name 'Cafe Midnight' on the sign next to the door. "A cafe? That's a surprise." Curious about what was inside, Kinji pulled the door open, the sound of a small bell ringing from above.
"Ahhh. That was a great lunch as always, mom." An older male voice called out from the bar, holding in a burp. The interior of the cafe was small, but there was a certain warmness to it. The walls were painted a cream-like color, with seven booths for customers to sit at. On the bar top were several jars full of coffee beans, as well as condiments and menus. A flatscreen TV was seen at the top corner, a talk show currently playing on it.
"You say that all the time. And please don't burp so loudly, Kotetsu. It bothers my customers." Standing on the other side of the bar was an elderly woman with tan skin, small wrinkles on her face, brown eyes, wearing small white stud earrings and brown hair tied into a bun. She wore a pink button down shirt, cargo pants and a white apron.
'She said Kotetsu. Is that the guy?' Kinji thought as he looked at the man known as 'Kotetsu.'
"Sorry, mom. Couldn't help it." Kotetsu was a tall, lean man with light brown hair combed towards his left side, a brown beard and golden brown eyes. He wore a green button down shirt with a white vest over it, black pants, white shoes with a black line on it, and a watch on his left wrist.
The woman, who seemed to be Kotetsu's mother, sighed before she finally noticed Kinji standing there. "Oh, welcome. How may I help you?" She asked with a kind tone.
"Ummm, I'm here to see Kaburagi-san." Kinji answered, making Kotetsu perk up as he turned towards the young man.
"Wait… you're Kinji, right?" Kotetsu asked as Kinji gave him a nod. "You weren't supposed to be here until the 9th."
"Kotetsu, it IS the 9th." His mother reminded him.
"What? No way." Taking out his phone, Kotetsu checked the date before sweatdropping. "Oh… it is. Whoops." Chuckling to himself, Kotetsu stood up and walked over to the young man. "Sorry for forgetting. It's good to meet you, kid." He offered a hand, which Kinji shook.
"I'm Kinji Tohyama. Thank you for taking me in." Kinji thanked him with a genuine tone. "But I didn't know you would be here. My grandpa never mentioned a cafe."
"Damn. I guess I forgot to mention that too." Kotetsu once again laughed in embarrassment as he scratched his head. "Well, this is my mom's cafe and I sometimes come here for lunch." Hearing his mother cough, Kotetsu realized he hadn't introduced her. "This is my mom."
"Call me Anzu. It's a pleasure to meet you, Kinji-kun." The woman known as Anzu answered with a smile. "My son's told me about you." She then gave him a sympathetic look. "I'm sorry to hear about your brother."
Kinji wanted to frown upon hearing those words, but quickly set his feelings aside and gave her a grateful look. "Thank you, miss." He then turned towards Kotetsu and gave him a bow. "And thank you for taking me in, Kaburagi-san."
"Come on. You're making me sound old, kid." Kotetsu laughed while patting Kinji on the shoulder. "Call me Kotetsu. And if it's alright with you, I'll call you Kinji. That okay?" Seeing nothing wrong with this, Kinji gave him a nod. "Since there's no one here, I can show you where you'll be staying. Come with me." Taking the young man's luggage, Kotetsu then proceeded towards the backroom, something that confused Kinji.
'Where is he going?' Kinji went to follow Kotetsu towards the backroom, where the bathroom and a set of stairs were located.
"It's up here." Kotetsu then began to walk up the stairs, to which Kinji followed suit. Eventually, the two arrived at a sizable room, full of clutter, ranging from boxes to dust-covered books. There also seemed to be a shelf next to a single bed, a TV stand on the left side, a desk covered with a dusty clear sheet, a small brown couch, and several paint cans with a ladder next to it. "Here's where you'll be staying."
"... Huh?" Kinji blinked, believing he hadn't heard Kotetsu right. "I'm staying… here? But what about your house?"
"Well… to tell you the truth, we actually don't have a spare room for you." Kotetsu bashfully admitted with a sympathetic tone. "I mean with me, my daughter and my mom, there isn't really any space for another person. And I'd rather not have you sleeping on the couch the entire time. So, I talked with my mom and she said you can stay here."
"Oh. I… appreciate it." Kinji said with a frown. Not that he was against having his own room, but this attic seemed rather… shady.
"I forgot to clean it up before you got here. Sorry." Kotetsu apologized before a smile grew on his face. "But, I can at least help you clean it up so it's at least liveable. What do you say?"
"Are you sure? I don't wanna bother you if you have to work." Kinji asked, not wanting to bother the older man.
"Don't worry about it. I don't work until Monday." Kotetsu waved off his concern before a thought occurred. "Oh yeah. Your grandma sent over your clothes in the mail. It's right there." Kotetsu pointed at the right corner, where a much cleaner cardboard box was located. "I'm gonna get some supplies so we can start cleaning. Be right back." With that, Kotetsu went downstairs to gather said supplies.
"So, this is where I'll be staying." Kinji took in the space before sighing. "Well, at least it's better than staying on a couch. And I'd at least have my own space." As sudden as his transfer was, Kinji was grateful that his grandfather did it, especially with what happened. Walking over to the cardboard box with his stuff from home, Kinji opened it, finding much of his wardrobe inside. "This should last me a while. But I hope they'll let me use the washing machine at their house."
"Here it is!" Kotetsu came back with two buckets, a pair of brooms and a trash can. "It shouldn't take us too long to clean everything up. But we should keep it down since there's still customers inside." A frightful expression crossed Kotetsu's face. "Last time I made noise up here, she gave me the ladle."
Kinji sweatdropped, wondering just how scary Anzu was. "Right… thanks for the advice." Taking a broom and a bucket, Kinji started cleaning up his new room, with Kotetsu's help. For the next few hours, the two worked on cleaning up the room, throwing away any boxes that weren't needed, dusting the desk, etc. Soon, the sun began to set as the remainder of the junk was moved towards the left for Kotetsu to assign later.
"Phew. Finished." Kotetsu wiped away the sweat off his brow. "If there's anything that catches your eye, you can have it. Most of this stuff's going in storage or in the trash anyways."
Kinji took a moment to look through what they collected before eventually finding a few old books. "I guess I can keep these since I don't have a TV."
"Sorry about that." Kotetsu apologized before a thought occurred. "Actually, I might have an old one in the house. If you want, I can check and give it to you. That way, you aren't too bored." Checking his watch, Kotetsu realized how late it was getting. "It's getting late. Mom should be closing up soon."
*Rumble*
Kotetsu and Kinji's stomachs started to growl, making the former smile. "Looks like we worked up an appetite. Come on. Let's get some food."
The two went downstairs, where Anzu had just placed two plates of curry and water for them at the bar.
"It sounds like the two of you finished." Anzu commented with a smile as Kinji and Kotetsu sat down. "I hope you like curry, Kinji-kun. It's my specialty." Kinji grabbed a spoon and scooped up some curry before eating it, causing his eyes to widen.
"Wow. It's really good." Kinji couldn't help but admit as he proceeded to eat the rest of his food. The mix of spices and seasoning was amazing, and the rice was cooked perfectly.
"Right? Not to toot my own horn, but I make some mean fried rice." Kotetsu boasted with pride.
"Sweetheart, that's ALL you can cook." Anzu shut him down, making him deflate in embarrassment. "I should get home and make dinner for Kaede." Taking off her apron, Anzu exited the bar and gave Kotetsu a kiss on the cheek. "I'll see you at home." She then looked over to Kinji. "If you get hungry, there's more curry in that pot, as well as some ingredients. All I ask is that you clean your dishes after you eat."
"Of course. Thank you for the food." Kinji thanked her politely, making Anzu nod before she exited the cafe.
"Glad you get along." Kotetsu spoke up while drinking his water. "Look, you seem like a good kid, so I'm only gonna tell you once." He turned towards Kinji with a serious expression on his face. "Don't steal anything in here. If me or my mom find out you've been stealing money from the register, there's gonna be problems. And don't go outside at night. At least not for now, okay? I just wanna make sure we're on the same page."
Kinji knew Kotetsu wouldn't have said such a thing if he wasn't sure. After all, he was staying in the cafe for the next year, so of course he wanted to set some rules. While he wouldn't willingly cause trouble, he had to agree to Kotetsu's terms if he wanted to stay here.
"Got it. I won't do anything bad." Kinji nodded with his own serious expression. Kotetsu took a moment to scan his expression before a smile grew on his face.
"Okay. Glad to hear it." Kotetsu patted Kinji's shoulder before standing up, picking up his plate. "I'm gonna wash this and head home. Get some sleep. Tomorrow, we're heading over to your new school to get your ID."
"I can wash that. You should get home." Kinji offered, getting a nod from Kotetsu before he went home. Finishing his dinner and washing the dishes, Kinji went back to his room and changed into a simple white shirt and black boxers. Turning off the lights, he went over to his bed and sat on it. "Hmmm. Comfy." Stretching his arms, Kinji laid down, pulling the covers over his body as he looked at the ceiling, the moon light bleeding through his window.
'I wonder how everyone's doing back home.' Deciding to shoot his grandpa a text, Kinji took out his phone, only to gasp at what he saw.
It was the same app as before, covering the screen of his phone.
"What the hell? I just deleted it." Kinji muttered to himself in annoyance before sending the app to the trash. "It better not leave a virus."
Ignoring the strange app, Kinji decided to send the text later as he put his phone next to his pillow, looking at the ceiling once again.
"Please just let this next year be normal. That's all I want." Letting out a silent prayer, Kinji closed his eyes, succumbing to sweet slumber.
However, little did he know, the strange app returned, glowing even brighter.
'?, ?'
Kinji didn't know what woke him up, but he slowly opened his eyes, only to find the ceiling of his room to be replaced with a much darker one.
"That's weird. I don't remember it being that dark." Removing the ripped sheets off his body (when did he rip the sheets, anyways?), Kinji looked down and saw that his nightwear was replaced with black and white prison clothes, complete with iron cuffs that had a chain between them around his wrists and ankles. "When did I change?" He sat up and took in his new look for a moment before something flew past him.
It was a strange glowing butterfly, small sprinkles of dust following it like a trail. For some reason, Kinji couldn't take his eyes off the little insect. Soon, the butterfly flew through a pair of bars, which seemed to block Kinji's way out of the room.
"Wait… bars?" Kinji stood up and walked over to the bars, grabbing them to see if they were real. Much to his surprise, the bars were very real and very hard to remove. "Okay… this is one crazy dream."
"It is no dream, inmate." The teen was brought out of his thoughts when he heard a calm, female voice speak up from the shadows before the speaker stepped into the light.
She was a rather mature woman, easily taller than Kinji himself. Her hair was long and azure colored, reaching all the way to her back. Her eyes were also the same color, yet they seemed rather calm, almost devoid of any life. She wore what could only be described as a warden's attire: a velvet-collared shirt with a black tie, a thigh length black skirt, white shoes, a baton on her left side and a clipboard in her right hand.
"It is good that you are awake. I was concerned you would stay asleep forever." The woman commented with a flat tone before she turned towards the middle of the room, where a large brown desk was located. "My master wishes to speak to you."
"Master?" Kinji repeated before he turned towards the desk, where he saw someone that he could only describe as creepy.
Sitting at the desk with their hands cupped together was a bizarre old man with a long nose, pointed ears and bulging, bloodshot eyes. He wore a black suit, white gloves, black socks and black shoes.
"Welcome to the Velvet Room." The bizarre-looking man spoke up with a deep, gravelly voice as he flashed Kinji an unsettling smile. "My name is Igor and I am the master of this place."
"... Okay, this is one creepy ass dream." Kinji said out loud as he leaned against the bars. "But I'd like to wake up now."
*Flick*
"Oww!" Kinji moved back and held his forehead as the strange woman flicked it rather hard. "What the hell was that for?!"
"Do you feel the pain?" The woman asked with a hint of curiosity in her tone. Kinji's expression changed as he rubbed his forehead, only to widen his eyes.
"That hurt… it actually hurt." Kinji brought his hand to his face and clenched it. "So… this isn't a dream."
"As different as this is, this is no dream." Igor informed him with a chuckle. "Everything you see here is very real. Existing between dreams and reality, mind and matter. It is a room that only those who are bound by a 'contract' may enter. The Velvet Room. Remember it well, Trickster."
"Velvet Room? Trickster?" Kinji's brain was going through information overload as he tried to process everything. "Hang on. You're saying this place exists in the real world, but also in the dream world? How does that work?"
"All will be explained soon, inmate." The woman informed Kinji calmly. "The you in reality is currently sleeping."
"Okay… doesn't explain a lot." Kinji bluntly told her before looking at Igor. "Why am I here?"
"I have summoned you here to discuss an important matter." Igor started, tapping his fingers together before looking around the room. "I admit this room surprises me. Normally, the state of the Velvet Room reflects the state of one's heart. To think it would take the form of a prison…" Igor then let out a chuckle as he looked at Kinji. "Then again, one cannot blame you for locking your heart, Kinji Tohyama."
"How do you know my name? Were you stalking me?" Kinji narrowed his eyes at Igor, finding the long-nosed man more and more suspicious.
"In the near future, ruin will come upon you." Igor added, making Kinji perk up.
"Hold on, ruin? What the hell does that mean?" Kinji asked while tightening his grip on the bars.
"Exactly what you might think: the end of everything and everyone you know." Igor replied as Kinji widened his eyes in horror. "But do not fear, prisoner. We will work to prevent such a fate from befalling you." He seemed to lean back on his chair while waving his hand. "In order to avoid ruin, you must be 'rehabilitated.' Rehabilitated towards freedom. That is the only way to prevent what will come." Igor stared intensely at Kinji, as if piercing through his soul. "Do you have the resolve to face the distortion of this world?"
Kinji was conflicted.
On one hand, there was no real reason to actually believe this Igor guy. After all, he was dressed as a prisoner, in a cell, with a long nosed old man and his azure-haired assistant. That definitely sounds like a premise for an anime or something.
And yet, on the other hand, there was a part of him that DID believe in what he said. It shouldn't make sense, yet somehow, it did. And if this 'ruin' was coming in the future and he had a way to stop it… why should he refuse?
'Especially after what happened to Kinichi.' Kinji thought, a sad expression on his face. If this ruin was going to affect not only him, but everyone close to him, then shouldn't he do everything in his power to stop it?
After a brief internal debate, Kinji answered. "Okay… how can I stop this ruin?"
Igor smiled in satisfaction, pleased to see Kinji agreeing to the rehabilitation. "Excellent. Now, allow me to observe your path to rehabilitation." A thought seemed to cross Igor's mind. "Ah, forgive me for not introducing my assistant. This is Vivienne, but you may call her Vivy. She will act as your warden."
"Warden? Seriously?" Kinji questioned with a sweatdrop. Just because the Velvet Room looked like a prison didn't mean he needed someone to watch his every move.
"Do not worry, inmate. I am here to assist you in your rehabilitation." The woman known as Vivy informed Kinji. "However, I do ask that you behave accordingly. Otherwise…" She took out her baton and extended it, pointing it at Kinji's head. "You will be punished."
'I'm pretty sure a lot of people would be turned on by this.' Kinji thought as he sweatdropped at Vivy, who put away her baton.
"I will explain her role at another time." Igor spoke up as he tapped his fingers along his desk. "It seems night is waning. Take your time to understand this place. We will meet again very soon…"
Igor soon waved his hand, with the echoes of a bell ringing through the Velvet Room.
"Go to sleep, inmate. You need your rest." Vivy told him as he felt his eyes growing tired.
"Why… am I… so…. Tired?" Kinji had to lean against the bars as he tried to look at Igor, only for his vision to grow much darker. "I… need… to…. Knowwwwww…"
He was unable to finish as he went back to sleep, faintly hearing Igor's chuckle before it disappeared.
'4/10'
*Ring*Ring*
Kinji's eyes shot open as he heard the alarm on his phone go off. Instead of the cell he was in before, Kinji found himself back in his room at cafe Midnight. Letting out a sigh of relief, Kinji turned off the alarm before rubbing his face.
'What a crazy ass dream. It felt so real…' Kinji thought before ruffling his hair. 'Come on. Ruin? Rehabilitation? Probably a bad dream from the curry last night. Maybe I should lay off it for a while…'
"Yo, kid! You up?" A familiar voice called out from downstairs. Kinji looked up and saw Kotetsu entering his room, wearing the clothes he had yesterday, along with a white hat. "Morning. I was worried you'd sleep in."
"Sleep in?" Kinji took in those words before his eyes widened. "Oh right. The school."
"That's right. We have a meeting with the principal at 11." Kotetsu reminded him. "Now go wash up and change into something nice. Your new school's in the Aoyama district, so you have to take the train. Since I'm off today, I can drive you there in my car."
"Okay. Thank you, Kotetsu-san." Kinji thanked the older man before standing up and getting ready for the day.
'Last night was just a dream. There's no way any of that was real… I hope.'
'Some time later'
The drive to Daiki High School wasn't as long as Kinji thought, though he did see the road that led back to the cafe was starting to pile up.
The high school had light brown colored walls, standing four stories tall. There were several large glass windows, showing the inside of the building. A large old style clock was located at the top of the entrance, which had several sakura trees along the path.
"Awesome. We got here with a little time to kill." Kotetsu commented as he and Kinji got out of his black sedan. "How's it look compared to your old school?"
"It's… about the same. Minus the sakura trees." Kinji admitted as one of the petals snapped off one of the trees, flying towards him.
"Well, get used to seeing it. You'll be seeing it for the next year Let's get going." Kotetsu reminded him before the two started walking towards the school.
Once they entered the school(and almost got lost a few times), the duo eventually found the principal's office, successfully gathering Kinji's student ID and uniform, as well as his class schedule.
"Alright. Looks like you're all set for tomorrow." Kotetsu said as he looked over Kinji's class schedule before handing it back to the teen. "School never changes, even now."
"Yeah…" Kinji's saddened tone wasn't lost to Kotetsu, who frowned a bit.
"If you're worried they'll say anything about what happened back home, don't be. I doubt the principal would go around blabbing about it to the staff." Kotetsu reassured him. "Come on. Let's head home before the traffic gets bad." With that, Kotetsu began to walk towards the exit. Kinji was about to follow suit when all of a sudden…
*Crash*
"DAMNIT!" He suddenly heard someone curse nearby, followed by the sound of items hitting the floor. Turning his head, Kinji found the source of the voice.
It was a beautiful girl, roughly around his age, with red-orange hair and red eyes. She wore a pair of white training robes, a black belt around her waist and a pair of sneakers. She cursed under her breath as she tried picking up several bokken, which were scattered on the floor.
'Guess she tried carrying it all.' Kinji thought as he prepared to go back to Kotetsu. However, he stopped as a part of him was nagging at himself to help. 'Damn it…' Sighing to himself, Kinji turned back to the girl and walked up to her, kneeling down.
"Huh?" The girl saw Kinji pick up several of the bokken, offering it to her.
"You shouldn't try carrying all that by yourself. At least ask for help." Kinji told her like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"I guess you have a point. Just slipped." The girl confessed as she took the bokken from Kinji, standing up with a smile. "Thanks for the help." She then gave him a curious look. "Are you a new transfer?"
"Lucky guess." Kinji confessed as the girl chuckled.
"You kinda have the whole 'awed look' thing going for you. Plus, school started last week and I never saw you in the assembly." The girl added on before a thought occurred. "Oh yeah. You don't know my name." She gave him a grin before pointing a thumb at herself. "My name's Erika Chiba, a second year."
"Kinji Tohyama. I'm also a second year student, too. Nice to meet you." Kinji gave Erika a nod before raising a brow. "Are you part of a kendo club or something?"
"Yup! I'm one of the best this school's got." Erika gloated with a hint of pride. She then gasped upon realizing something. "Crap! I forgot I have to deliver these to the dojo!" Making sure to secure the bokken, Erika began to run towards the right. However, she stopped and turned back to Kinji. "Hopefully, we can see each other tomorrow, Tohyama-kun! Bye!" With that, she ran off.
"Bye…" Kinji gave a lazy wave before shoving his hand in his pocket. She was definitely prideful, but she didn't seem like a bad person.
Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get to know her.
With that, Kinji exited the school and rejoined Kotetsu.
Hopefully, his first actual day at school would turn out fine.

Unfortunately, fate is a cruel mistress…
Okay… okay. I know what a lot of you are gonna say. "WHY ANOTHER DAMN STORY?! YOU'RE OVERWORKING YOURSELF, BAKA!"
But recently, I have been binge playing Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3 Reload(which are really fun games, btw).
And… well, it started out as a fun conversation between me, Earth Dragon Arnighte and TheExcadrillComics. "What would your anime Persona team be like?" After a long while… I decided to make this an actual story.
Now, this isn't gonna follow too many of the same story beats as a game like Persona 5(hopefully), though I am using the setting for said game since it is kinda my favorite. However, I will expand on certain areas such as Roppongi since that could lead to some interesting discoveries. I do wanna make this as original as possible, but I will also make references to other things from P3 and P4. Please note that this is an AU story, so any powers the main characters use will be changed to fit the Persona lore. However, certain skills can be brought up.
So if you have an idea for what kind of Persona some of the characters would have, please let me know.
As the characters who do appear in this story, they will come from various series. If you guys have an idea for a supporting character from another anime, please let me know which Arcana they'd fit. Here are the series the characters introduced in the story so far come from.
Kinji Tohyama(Aria The Scarlet Ammo)
Kotetsu T. Kaburagi, Anzu Kaburagi(Tiger & Bunny)
Erika Chiba(The Irregular At Magic High School)
Vivy(Vivy's: Fluorite Eye's Song)
And here are the major Arcana the confidants in this story will have.
