Pokemon Virus Version Chapter 95: Precious
Location: Outside Mahogany Town's Pokemon Center
Seth's POV
It was a theory by Yumi and her friend Mary that dragged me out of bed to spend the night training Yumi's Shadow Gligar.
"Gligar, use Guillotine!" Yumi called with a smile on her face.
"Gli!" Gligar cried as he charged toward his opponent with his arms cloaked in a white aura.
"Dodge!" I yelled at Gligar's opponent in Mawile.
"Maw!" Mawile cried as she jumped out of the way, narrowly avoiding the one hit KO attack by the tip of her maw.
Yum's theory was that the more time you spend with a Shadow Pokemon, the more the dark aura will fade over time. I kind of thought Yumi was just rambling like she's done in the past, but I was surprised to see I was wrong. Compared to when Yumi first caught Gligar, Gligar is very obedient now. With how long she's had Gligar, it's no surprise that the dark aura was just about gone.
Mawile, Yumi and I watched as Gligar began to glow a white aura that lit up the winter night around us.
"What's happening?"
"Is he evolving or something?" Yumi asked.
No. One thing that was certain was Gligar was not evolving. His evolution required an item we didn't have.
However, what did happen was a first for me. After the white aura disappeared, I noticed Gligar was no longer surrounded by the dark aura.
I had to ask myself because Chapel told me THIS was only possible with Celebi, or so she and I thought: Could it be…?
"Gligar's been purified." I concluded out loud.
"Huh?" Yumi looked at me, and then back at Gligar, "You think so?"
"Well, it isn't acting like a battle machine, unlike you typical Shadow Pokemon," I said as I looked at Mawile, "From what I can tell, the battle session is over. Mawile's right there, yet Gligar remains still; as if he knows better. Same with Chikorita." We looked to a Chikorita who was curled up, sleeping on a nearby bench. I couldn't blame her for being tired either, since we've only just arrived in Mahogany Town earlier today.
"Maw Mawile." Mawile cried in agreement.
Upon hearing this, Yumi took this moment to look back at Gligar, "Gligar…" Despite my explanation, Yumi took no chances walking up to Gligar cautiously.
After staring in each other's eyes for a while, Yumi took initiative, and extended her arm out to the flying type.
"Gli?" Gligar looked far from confused, but still cried in question. He looked at Mawile to see a smile on her face, giving Gligar the impression that nothing bad was going to happen. "Gli…" He then looked at me, and appeared somewhat intimidated. I was the only person not smiling.
Jowever, looking back at Yumi, Gligar was careful not to unintentionally hurt her using his claws as he made contact with her hand.
A smile slowly crept its way onto Gligar's face.
"Oh Gligar!" This made Yumi ecstatic, so ecstatic that she picked up the flying type and gave him a big hug.
"Gli?" So energetic, Yumi was. Her affection made Gligar quite uneasy. I guess this was her way of celebrating. For what? Well, it's been months since she first obtained Gligar, and if she's finally able to use him just now, I guess you could say that she 'technically' JUST caught Gligar.
"Come on, Seth!"
"Hm?" Yumi was able to pull me out of my thoughts when she stepped right in front of me, Gligar still in her arms.
"Aren't you happy for me? How about a smile?" She asked.
"Mawile!" With a smile on her face Mawile also looked at me, hands clasped in anticipation.
I sighed, "Nice try," I said as I started walking.
She's affectionate, she's hyper, and now she's being persistent. Do I not mind her upbeat attitude? Well, since we've reunited, I can honestly say that I envy her. She and her attitude are what helped me when I needed them most…I still have not reason to smile though…
Hmm…if Gligar was able to rid himself of the shadows, I wonder if Klefki and Seviper are capable of the same thing? Hmph. I actually DON'T want them purified. These shadow powers that me and my shadow pokemon have are simply too valuable, if it means defeating Neo Snagem.
Then it's decided,, I'll go out of my way in order to prevent my shadow pokemon from being purified, and I care not who disagrees with me. Rose and Chapel…They strongly oppose the idea, and they were both upset when they saw me today. Rose cowered, while Chapel, well…I've never been too keen on other people's feelings and expressions, but I HAVE made some subtle improvements along the way. When Chapel said she would defeat Neo Snagem her own way, she had the eyes of a close rival looking at me. I wonder where those two are right now?

Flashback…
Beatrice's POV
The day I joined Team Neo Snagem was also the day somebody else joined…
Here, I stood in the center of Neo Snagem's banquet, watching Neo Snagem's other inductee.
Accompanying me, were my two childhood friends in Volbeat and Illumise. Compared to Team Rocket, Neo Snagem really didn't mind me having the fireflies outside their pokeballs. It's just, being an only child, Volbeat and Illumise were like the younger brother and sister I never had.
Hmhm. I can still remember back when I took Drama class when I was younger. Acting was Voldeat and Illumise's favorite, especially when we were working with Commedia del' Arte. Their favorite characters were the young lovers, also known as the Innamorati. The teacher described Volbeat and Illumise's acting as 'very cute'. Sure the fireflies were very childish, and often played pranks on our fellow actors, but still, the benefits of having them in the play far outweighed the drawbacks. To make them look the part, I made each of them Innamorati masks, which they wear to this day. Oh my best friends…Today, they watch as me and someone else become Team Neo Snagem members.
Speaking of Neo Snagem, here they came. I saw Wes watching in the background as Neo Snagem's leader made his way to the large podium in the center of the extravagant banquet hall.
"Hm?" Following Commander Atticus, was his lover-a near emotionless woman named Flora, who wore an elegant, white dress. But the thing is, Flora had a SMILE on her face. Volbeat, Illumise and I have eyed Flora plenty of times prior to initiation, but not once did we see her angry, sad, or even happy.
"Vol…
"Myah…" The smile on Flora's face was only half the surprise. In her arms, was a very beautiful baby girl.
"Now then…" The long, blackish brown haired man, Commander Atticus, began to speak. Commanders 04 and 03 were very attentive. "One this day, we have not one, but two Team Neo Snagem Commanders to welcome."
It never seemed like Commaner Atticus was a formal person, and sort of had a hard time speaking. At this assumption, you could hear slight chuckles in the background by Commanders 17 and 24. Their attitudes gave me a clue as to why they're already ranked lower than me.
"First, we have…" And it was with great pride that I walked up to the podium, Volbeat and Illumise accompanying me. "From a mere grunt in Team Rocket to among Team Neo Snagem's elite. This woman is was many would call a 'paladin'. Since her life with Team Rcoket, she has come in contact with the virus, Missingno, and now has viral powers of her own. It is said that she once defeated over 100 enemies with just 'a single swing of her sword'. This woman goes by the name of Beatrice, but WE will call her, Commander 06!"
There wasn't much of any ovation for my initiation, aside from the cheers and clapping from Volbeat and Illumise, but I wasn't fazed. The words Atticus used for my introduction, where 'I defeated over 100 enemies with a single swing of my sword'…He wasn't speaking metaphorically, yet he WAS at the same time. Those words were true. When those words spread, I adopted the reputation of being a 'ruthless assassin'. But no matter how notorious I was, my name was only to me overshadowed by someone else at this moment.
Moments after my introduction, I too a single step back, remaining on stage as Neo Snagem's second initiation was about to begin.
Stepping forward and walking right past me was Flora.
"Vol?"
"Hm…" As the beautiful woman passed me, a pair of big, round, blue eyes met mine, as well as a smile. Cradled in Flora's arms, the baby looked so innocent. To think, a lifetime of wonder lied ahead for that soul. It was enough to make Flora smile, and after staring at the baby for a few moments, even I smiled. Behind the mask of these cold eye of mine, lied a warm heart with a soft spot for babies, particularly this one, the daughter of Atticus and Flora.
"Cute," I said to the baby as it was now Flora's turn to speak.
"In my arms, I have a new life. I have, a very beautiful daughter, a dearly beloved. She's…she is very precious to me…"
Being used by Flora, were words of such positivity, such compassion and beauty. They reminded me of the beauty of truth and love that I've been told was evil for such a long time. This beauty brought an entirely different character out of Flora. She was so graceful and elegant, and she was very articulate with her words. It wouldn't surprise me if her daughter grew up to be like her...
End Flashback…
Location: Team Rocket's Hideout
And here I am, five years later, standing right in front of her. Commander 26…I was right, she's VERY beautiful.
"It's been so long, 26…" I said as I took a single step forward.
The surrounding dust made the atmosphere of the hideout very dingy, grey, and empty, which actually made the blue eyes of 26 look more vivid than normal. Those eyes paid no mind to the Piplup who pooped out of the Pokeball belonging to the blonde haired, maroon banged Pokemon Ranger girl.
"Volbeat…" Unfortunately for the Pipup, Volbeat and Illumise had her path blocked, preventing the penguin from escaping.
"What are you doing here?" 26 asked me.
"You know, just taking a trip down memory lane." Perhaps nostalgia has played a role in me wanting to see Team Rocket again. "Following the capture of Ecruteak and the destruction of Azalea, I was allowed some 'vacation', and I figured 'why not return here'?"
"You know her, Rose?" The maroon banged girl asked 26.
A 26 called 'Rose' nodded, "She used to be one of my favorites…"
"But now…" I began to add to Rose's answer, "It seems we've grown apart. Right now, we stand opposite sides as enemies."
"Well, you DID introduce yourself as Commander 06," The Pokemon Ranger said.
"Oh?" I didn't expect such a straightforward reply. That Pokemon Ranger gave me the impression that she was sort of brash. "So you are against Team Neo Snagem?"
"Correct." 26 replied.
"Then I suppose you wish to defeat me, am I right?" I asked.
"Hmph!"
"Huh?!" 26 looked at her partner with a very surprised expression as the Pokemon Ranger hastily threw her fist in the air.
The Pokemon Ranger yelled to her Skarmory, "Skarmory, use Steel Wing!"
"I'm going in too!" The Skarmory was joined by a talking, ghostly Banette, who also got a surprised look from 26.
"No! Please wait! She's too powerful!"
….
Chapel's POV
My eyes widened upon hearing Rose's sudden warning, but it was too late. Both Skarmory and Banette were already well into their attacks, and I had no intention on stopping either of them. Though I still had second thoughts, like if Rose wasn't exaggerating, given how high in rank Beatrice was.
"Well then," the black-cherry haired, platinum eyed Commander smiled, and just stood there before…
"-Volbeat! Volbeheheat!" It was Volbeat. Leaving Illumise to keep Piplup in check, the masked Volbeat took center stage, landing in front of Beatricee as he started…he closed his eyes and started cheering from Skarmory and Banette?
"Skar?"
"What the?" Confused, Skarmory and Banette actually stopped in the middle of their attacks, watching the firefly continue his obnoxious cheers.
"Oh my gosh!" I sighed in annoyance at the irritating firefly, "Get out of the way! Move or I'll destroy you!"
"Vol vol vol!" I groaned as the Volbeat actually started laughing, clapping louder in the process, "Nyaaahh!" Did that little troll just stick his tongue out at me?!
Rose was right. These obnoxious fireflies could play down people and pokemon's powers and abilities like no other.
"Nyahaha!" Now Illumise was laughing!
"Er. Just what are you trying to get accomplished by doing that?" I asked the Volbeat.
"Oh, this?" Beatrice started, "Volbeat is only Flattering your pokemon."
"Flatter…" Rose said to herself. She paused as she appeared to be thinking to herself.
"Skar?!"
"Huh?!" What happened was a first for me. Skarmory and Banette started to glow a red aura, and it was then that Rose turned to me and spoke up, getting her words out in a hurry.
"Chapel, you have to do something quick!" Rose exclaimed. "Flatter is going to confuse Skarmory and Banette!"
"What?!" I yelled.
"Volbeat!" His smile turning into a grin, Volbeat nodded at Rose's word. And without time for us to react, Volbeat's Flatter was complete. As he stopped cheering so obnoxiously, Banette and Skarmory faced Rose, Piplup and I.
"Lup?" Piplup was confused. What Piplup was looking at, wee a Banette and Skarmory who were still glowing that red aura, and there was an aggressive shine to their eyes.
"Now what?" I asked.
"Skaaarrr!"
"HAAHH!"
My heart skipped a beat, and I gasped as Skarmory and Banette started charging right at us. "Woah!" I gasped as I JUST moved out of Banette's path. As I looked back, I saw Skarmory closing in on a Rose who stared down her incoming opponent with narrowed eyes.
"Ha!" With little effo, Rose jumped out of the way, and there she remained, floating in the air.
"Skaarr!" Rose dodging was no problem of Skarmory's part, as Skarmory displayed more of his aerial mobility by swiftly changing his course.
Physically and mentally superior to the average human being, Rose braced herself for Skarmory, and I actually thought she could put up a great fight. I wouldn't be surprised if she came out a decisive winner.
Now was not the time to completely ignore Banette though…
"Haa!" The evil doll stared at me, and spread her arms as she started spreading a shade of darkness all around her.
I kept my guard up, but I had no knowledge that the doll's Night Shade would spread so quickly. I flinched.
"Lup!"
"Aaaahhh!"
"Hm?" Having my eyes closed made the moment go by slower than it actually did. I was so prepared to be engulfed by Night Shade, but that never happened. I opened my eyes, returning my sights to the dingy, grey hideout. "Huh?!" Right there, I saw a Banette that was now frozen solid. Only one Pokemon could've done that…
I looked to my left, and to my right. I saw Piplup standing right next to me. The little ice skater kept her eyes one Banette.
"Piplup…" I said out loud.
Piplup didn't look at me though. Instead, she swiftly turned around and began to take aim at Skarmory.
"Skarr!" Skarmory cried. He tried and tried to hit Rose, but it was no use.
"Lup!" Due to the swift movements of Skamory, Piplup had to land with precise aim, and without hitting Rose. Narrowing her eyes, Piplup took just one shot to hit her target with Ice Beam.
"Ska?!" Caught off guard, Skarmory's eyes widened as his body started to become encased in ice.
In midair, the frozen Skarmory fell to the ground, where it remained still.
"Chapel, recall Skarmory!" Rose yelled. Of course, she herself took out the Pokeball I gave to her in case Banette ever needed to be recalled. "Ha!" Pointing the Pokeball at Banette, Rose engulfed the frozen, evil doll in a red arc that dragged her into the Pokeball.
"I'm going to be honest with you. After seeing you struggle against your own pokemon, I don't think you stand a chance against me…" Beatrice said, crossing her arms and closing her eyes.
"Oh yeah?" I sassed as I readied another pokeball. There was nothing more 'gear-grinding' than the sudden arrogance coming from the black-cherry haired woman. I motioned my arm back, and just before I flung my pokeball forward…
"…She is correct, Chapel…" Rose clarified.
"Huh? What?" I paused at Rose's words. Looking at Rose as I put my arm back down, I saw Rose with a very serious expression on her face.
"I have come to know Lady Beatrice very well in the past. Beatrice, she is like no other person we have faced before…" Rose answered.
"Then what are you getting at?! Are you saying we should roll over and wait for defeat? No way! Not me!"
"Those words never came out of my mouth, Chapel…" Rose replied. Her eyes adopted a slight, glazed look that reminded me of her brother's typical, indifferent face.
"You're fighting alongside me, got it? And if 06 is really as powerful as everyone is saying, then I guess I have no choice…" Okay, so maybe I was being bossy by not giving Rose any further say in the matter, that subject was put aside in favor of what I did next.
"Hm?" It was a sight to see for everybody. Rose, Piplup, Volbeat and Illumise…they all watched me as a light blue, almost white aura started to light up the dingy room.
"Lup?"
"What the?" Beatrice questioned. "What's this?"
"This?" I repeated to myself. A smile found its way on my face as I closed my eyes. I wanted to the look on Beatrice's face when she saw what she had to look forward to: reserves…That's right, reserves.
This light aura was radiating from me. Why? Well remember when the virus Missingno and I merged together in order to defeat Commander 24 in Ecruteak City? Well, that wasn't just a one time deal. Missingno and I are now permanently one being. I'm only on borrowed time before the virus in me crashes, but it'll be worth it in the end, because before my time in this life comes to an end, I WILL see a world that will be free from Team Neo Snagem. In a way, this 'virus' form in me is a lot like the Fear form Seth has…I'll show him the right path to follow in order to reach our goal, and it all starts here. I WILL DEFEAT commander 06!
"Chapel…" Rose whispered.
"You…" Beatrice whispered to herself.
My left eye went from its normal maroon color to Missingno's pale blue color. I opened my eyes and looked at my opponents. At last, Volbeat and Illumise were no longer smiling, while Beatrice's mouth hung slightly open.
"Could it be?" I saw Beatrice reaching into the pocket, which was on the front of the duster she wore that went from her waist to her ankles. The white duster kind of looks like a long skirt and an open cape at the same time, "The virus written in Bill's Report…" Beatrice said to herself.
"Hm?" I looked at what Beatrice pulled out of her pocket, and it peaked my interest. It was a small piece of ripped paper, ripped from a spiral notebook, it seemed. "Could it be?" Now it was my turn to ask 'could it be' to myself. Out loud, Beatrice said 'the virus written in Bill's Report'. Could the paper she was reading over ACTUALLY go with the rest of Bill's Journal?
"Interesting, to see the power of Missingno in what is second to its purest form. This girl-a girl that to me was just a mere sidestory in comparison to my reunion with 26…Alright, you have my attention now, Pokemon Ranger!"
Beatrice now focused squarely on the virus in me, she proceeded to walk past Volbeat and Illumise. "Stay put," she said to the fireflies, her eyes never leaving mine, "To think that the question never came to mind. So YOU are the Missingno virus Neo Snagem has been after."
"Now what will you do?" Rose asked Beatrice as she stepped up.
"Stand back, 26." Her eyes grew slightly soft whenever she looked at Rose… "Though we stand apart as enemies, I still do not wish to harm you. We were just THAT close…This Missingno girl though…" Before finishing her sentence appeared to ready herself to battle against me as she took out a single Pokeball. Actually, the item she took out was really a Premier Ball, and just the sight of the Premier Ball was enough to make Rose flinch.
"No! Not HIM!" Rose suddenly pleaded. Apparently, she knew what was inside the Premier Ball, "Chapel, you do not have to be so bold! Please, you must not force the hand of Beatrice!"
I didn't listen to Rose's warning. As I ignored her plea, I barely her Rose whisper the word 'stubborn'.
As Beatrice held her Premier Ball, she looked at it intently and said out loud, "Commander 06, Beatrice: A ruthless woman with a stare as cold as the atmosphere her presence brings. It is said that this powerful paladin once defeated over 100 enemies with just a single swing of her sword…" It was not the first time I've heard that introduction. The name Beatrice was very notorious when I was younger, but I never believed it. And I guess I kind of forgot about her name over time. "It's time to end this…"
At long last, it was Beatrice who readied herself on the front lines. Throwing her white pokeball, another strong light made the abandoned hideout even brighter for a moment. Out of the pokeball came…
"My paladin. My sword…" Beatrice said to herself.
"Gl…" Quiet and reserved, this pokemon looked more like a silent hero than a bad guy. The atmosphere surrounding this pokemon was even colder than the stare of Beatrice. This 'sword' of Commander 06 was a Gallade…
Gallade was kneeling on just one knee. His eyes were closed, and his head was down.
"It's all over for you…" Beatrice said to me.
It was what I would describe as slow motion, me watching as Beatrice's paladin slowly rose to his feet. Gallade picked his gaze up from the ground, and opened his eyes. His gaze was on me, and like the atmosphere surrounding him, his gaze was colder than the gaze of Beatrice. But I wasn't moved. Having the powers of Missingno on my side maintained my confidence.
"Let us fight then!" Ready, I made the first move, running toward Gallade and Beatrice with the light blue aura surrounding me.
"Chapel, no!" Once again, Rose tried in vain to stop me.
"Hmph…" Gallade stood his ground, taking a moment to look at me very calmly…The pace of the moment, I felt it slow very drastically. Perhaps I just wasn't fast enough in his eyes. "Gal…" My eyes widened as Gallade took action. He made out of his arm, what looked to be a light blade surrounded by a green aura.
"…Defeat by a single swing of my sword…" Beatrice repeated.
A sword…THAT sword…In 'slow motion', I hesitated, and flinched.
With a single swing of her sword…A chance to use the power of Missingno never happened. Or maybe I should say that the chance narrowly passed me by…I winced as soon as the paladin started moving, and as a result, my eyes were not open when the Gallade closed in on me.
….
…There was no longer sound reaching myears as I was struck…by a single swing of that sword…
As I began to fall, I finally realized what Rose had been trying to tell me all along: We were no match for Beatrice…Upon this realization, I began to ask myself: Where does this put me in my quest to defeat Neo Snagem? And where does this put me in comparison to Seth? Those were question marks that were far from being answered.
I fell to the ground.
With a single swing of her sword, I was defeated…

Rose's POV
Though the power of Gallade and Beatrice came as no surprise to me, I was startled by how quickly Chapel was dealt with.
…I told her…I told her what was to come if she challenged Beatrice, but she was too brash and stubborn to listen to me, and now she has paid the price.
"Lup?" Though Piplup was never officially captured by Chapel, she still rushed to her aid out of genuine concern. "Lup…" I followed, and we both stared at the fallen Chape for a moment.
"…Rose?"
…I was being called by the woman I was very close to at one time in my life. Even now, the cold hearted Beatrice did not wish to see me harmed when she told me to stay out of the way. But now what? She called my name. Not Commander 26, but 'Rose'. For the first time, she called me by the name 'Rose'.
"Beatrice, I…"
"I don't want to fight you…" Beatrice said.
The same could not be said about the masked Volbeat and Illumise, who appeared ready for more action as they quietly snickered at the downed Chapel.
"Hm…I'm so conflicted." Beatrice said while looking at the ground, hands on her hips. "The Beatrice from a year ago would've guarded you with her very life. But now, even as enemies, I think of you like my own daughter."
I also did not wish to fight Beatrice. Besides Mother Flora and Brother Zero, Beatrice was the only one I liked in Neo Snagem.
"Just so you know, I won't be able to aid you if you oppose any other Commanders," Beatrice said.
"I understand…"

Rose & Beatrice
Not even a week has gone by since Commander 26 was born. The newest Commander of Team Neo Snagem was in the arms of her beloved mother. The masked Volbeat and Illumise swooned at the sight of the beautiful, cradled baby.
"Vol."
"Mya." Volbeat and Illumise smiled.
And last, but not least, there was Team Neo Snagem's OTHER newest Commander: Commander 06, Beatrice. I was requested by Flora herself to come to the empty cathedral that lied along Goldenrod's western edge.
"She's adorable." For a woman often described as cold hearted, I DID have a soft spot for the vivid blue eyed girl staring at her with a smile.
"Haha!" 26 giggled so innocently.
"Lil."
"Roseli." The presence of the baby had Flora's Lilligant and Roselia in a good mood.
"So why have you summoned me?" I asked Flora.
My question didn't come with an immediate reply. Instead, the beautiful Flora was verbal, smiling as she held her daughter even tighter, "I love her very much…" Flora was very motherly. Perhaps it was just the presence of 26. She never expressed herself before, not in the slightest. "…And I do not wish for her to become a byproduct of what Atticus envisions Team Neo Snagem to be. Though she is a Commander of Team Neo Snagem, I still wish for her life to be as close to the life of a normal girl as possible. She has Zero, but he always seems busy. There's just something, or someONE missing from her life. Maybe it's a circle of people for her to become close to…"
Just where was Flora getting at? I wondered, without trying to sound rude or impatient.
"My daughter seems to become very happy whenever she sees you. This may be the start of a beautiful connection. I'm a little embarrassed to ask this of you, but would you be willing to become my daughter's Godmother?"
"Oh?!" I immediately tensed up at the mere use of the word 'Godmother'. Me, a Godmother? Hmm, perhaps 26 and I are closer than I realized. "I…"
There was so much to think about. My transition into Team Neo Snagem, my transition away from Team Rocket, and now…
I had yet to accept or decline Flora's invitation as I just stood there for the passing moment to come and go.
"Would you like to hold her?" Flora asked.
"Volbeat!"
"Myaa! Myaahh!" The faces of Volbeat and Illumise lit up as they eyed Flora, and then the baby, and then me.
"Roselia!"
"Lil…" A smile was on the face of Flora's Roselia, while a Lilligant who had no visible mouth looked cheery yet reserved at the same time. They looked into my eyes with much anticipation, and what they saw, was the reflection of a beautiful baby.
You could hear the wind blow against the cathedral's white curtains through the open windows as I opened my arms, not saying a word.
"Hmhm." A warm smile was still on her mother's face as she looked at us.
"Haha!" This baby…Locking my arms around her and giving a big hug, I drop all thoughts of Team Neo Snagem at that moment. I didn't see this little girl as a Neo Snagem Commander, I saw her as somebody I fell in love with; a daughter, a friend who could be a friend of my friends. I call her, precious…
26 and I…Volbeat and Illumise…Flora, Roselia and Lilligant…Together, we would stay as it all began: our connection.
I would go on and see those big blue eyes of 26 every day for four years, and I did just about everything with her.
The most beautiful head of long blonde hair belonging to 26, I fixed everyday as Flora and I groomed her into the perfect young lady.
Roselia and Lilligant were the girl's best friends. The three of them were so innocent, so inseparable. 26 would always fiddle with their flowers though, and it only made her want to see real flowers for the first time even more…
Volbeat and Illumise…Well let's just say 26 wasn't too fond of them. The two were so obnoxious, they often picked on the girl like brother and sister, but not without regular scoldings from Lilligant and Roselia.
Zero always helped 26 on her toughest days. He even introduced 26 to real life flowers. There was one flower in particular that caught her eye though…

That flower is what she chose as her name: Rose.
Rose…
It was the perfect opportunity to bring Rose and her downed friend 'Chapel' to Neo Snagem…
But instead, you could hear the sound of my heel clapping against the ground, and going in the opposite direction.
"Gal…" I was followed by Gallade, Volbeat, and Illumise.
"Precious…" That is what I called the beautiful Rose. And maybe…maybe one day I'll get her to return to me…to use…It's a promised eternity for her and I.
My final thought as I whited out of her sight…

Alright, so it's official, THIS is my longest chapter. I know that because this IS the first time I've eclipsed 5,000 words in a single chapter. Not only am I closing in on 100 chapters, I'm also closing in on the 300k category whenever you're looking to filter search here on Fanfiction.
Okay, so I kind of got adventurous here on Fanfiction. So you know what I did? I submitted a Seth and Yumi to an SYOC fic. If you want to see if their relationship grows faster than on Virus Version, read The Miraculous Adventures of Tessa & Lunala by 23StellaOrgana. Seth and Yumi haven't been introduced yet, but their time is coming. Though if you ask me, I'd like to see if they're among the last trainers introduced, it just keeps my anticipation up high. I think Rose will get a mention on the fic too. Not only that, but Seth and Yumi will each get a legendary Pokemon, unlike on Virus Version.

I'm trying to do alot of things with Rose and Beatrice here. It's all to build up more on a Seth, Rose, and Beatrice centric arc i have outlined. You guys HAVE noticed that Rose and Seth haven't spoke to each other since Ecruteak City, right? The tension will DEFINITELY rise between Seth and Rose following the time spent in Mahogany Town. This arc will, believe it or not, deceptively develop Seth more than Rose.
