Pokemon Virus Version Chapter 101: A Guide to Heaven's Light

Round 1, Match 2: Chapel vs Dustin

Homefield advantage: Dustin!

Chapel's POV

"Geez! How long do I gotta wait here?" I was annoyed at how long I had to spend waiting for my opponent to show up.

"Maybe something went wrong?" Pipup suggested.

"If you ask me, they should save everyone the time and disqualify him."

Piplup was in my arms, and I was sitting at the front row of an empty pokemon stadium. I swear, we've been here for how long?! We're already on the brink of sunset here! Did I care what that this guy's dream world extended beyond this stadium and was actually a lively city? No!

I sighed as a light breeze brushed my maroon bangs in my face.

"H-HEEEEYYYY!" Well it's about time. This Dustin was finally making his way to the stadium.

I got up from my seat with Piplup on my shoulder. Just how high was it from the stadium's front row to the battlefield? About 10 feet? I hopped from the front row, and with my eft eye turning a pale blue color, I was able to land softly on the battlefield's sideline.

"Honey, you're late!" I placed my hands on my hips and glared at the guy breathing heavily.

"I…got lost…woo!" Getting lost in your own dream world? How pathetic. "But I'm here and ready to win!"

"What makes you sound so sure you're going to win?" Pipup asked.

"Is it not obvious?" Dustin grinned, "Girls don't stand a chance against men when it comes to battling!" My eyes widened, "…And when it comes to being strong, driving, being funny, earning more money, inventing anything important, etcetera etcetera, men can't be beat!"

I gaped. "Excuse me?!"

"What's wrong?" It pissed me off when he had this curious expression on his face as he looked at me. It was as if he genuinely thought there was nothing wrong with that male superiority complex he had.

"YOU'RE what's wrong." My eyes narrowed as I quickly snatched a Pokeball from my belt as fast as a ninja taking out a shuriken. I eyed Seth's rival coldly, "I'll be sure to take those beliefs and shove them down your throat," I said as I threw my Pokeball with a backhand.

To spite Dustin, I called upon one of my female pokemon. "Vee vui!" The silver furred Eevee I got in Ecruteak City made an appearance. Her fur glistened in the sunset.

"This one goes out to females everywhere!" I announced.

"Eevee, win this one for us girls!" Piplup cheered.

"Um, okay…" Eevee wasn't aware of what Piplup and I were talking about.

Dusting eyed Piplup and laughed out loud. "Really?! THIS pipqueak?!" He looked at me with watery eyes of laughter as he pointed to Eevee in a blatant manner.

Eevee faced me as Dustin continued to laugh. "I-is there something wrong with me? Why is that boy pointing at me?"

I sighed. It was obvious that this Eevee was on the younger side. "Just let him finish his episode, okay sweetie?"

Eevee nodded, and turning back to Dustin, she, Piplup and I waited for him to calm down.

Dustin had to wipe a tear from his eye. "Well, if you're really gonna go with that furball, be my guest. But don't get mad at me when THIS badass destroys her!" Saying this, Dustin threw his Pokeball.

"Coco! Croconaw!" Out of the Pokeball came the Water type with a really big jaw; the Croconaw who started his journey with his trainer on the same day Chikorita and Eevee started their journeys with Seth and Yumi respectively.

"My beefy badass of a pokemon!" Dustin said proudly with his arms crossed, "He'll destroy your Eevee in one attack-"

"-Eevee, Shadow Ball quick!" I interrupted the jerk as my pale blue eye returned to its original maroon color.

"Ha!" Eevee gt up close and fired a ball of dark energy at Dustin's 'beefy battler' that quickly made its way, causing for Croconaw's head to bounce back as a reaction.

"Now use Return!" I wasn't going to stop at Shadow Ball, for I pointed at Croconaw with my black gloved hand.

"Coco…ngh! Naw?" Croconaw was still shaking off the knockback dealt to him by a Shadow Ball that presumably lowered his Special Defene. Meanwhile, Eevee was making her charge.

"Vui!"

This Return required a little bit of extra effort from Eevee, and extra effort is was Return received. At Croconaw's height, Eevee had to jump onto Croconaw's big jaw.

"Vee!" She struck Croconaw right in the middle of the face. This sent Croconaw to his back, while Eevee landed on the ground, sliding back to my side of the battlefield. Eevee turned to me and cheered, "Haha, I did it!"

"Now those guys might stop underestimating us girls!" Piplup was sort of passionate.

I questioned to myself whether now was the time for any celebration. I knew it was going to take more than a couple of opening hits to win a fight with Croconaw, so why did he remain on his back?

I've only seen Dustin one other time on my journey, and we never introduced ourselves to each other in the slightest. I remember back at National Park, when Dustin was defeated by Shadow Seviper. I think him being so ravaged was only a result of how strong Seviper was, but could Dustin actually be weaker than my impression of him? Perhaps I'm just thinking too much…But then again, this guy got lost in his own dream world, and was terribly late to our match…and he underestimated me because I'm a girl.

After a few seconds of waiting, Croconaw finally rose to his feet, rubbing the middle of his face where Eevee stuck him.

"Hey, that's foul!" Dustin was angry, "I wasn't even ready yet!"

"So sue me." I've made it a habit of saying this to people who get mad at me. "Not my fault you're a scrub, dear. Now Eevee!" I proceeded to mock Dustin by giving him a wry smile as I commanded, "Eevee, let's emasculate this 'beefy badass' with your Attract!"

"As you wish!" It's been some time since I've used Eevee 'on screen', and I'll admit that I'VE TAUGHT Eevee some tricks since then.

Eevee winked her eye in the most adorable way possible as pink hearts were made.

"What is that crap?" Dustin asked confused.

The pink hearts made by Eevee were sent right at Croconaw, who was too dense and bewildered to know that dodging Attract was a must.

The pink hearts all began floating the water type before they all collectively rushed to his head.

I could only imagine what it was like to be Croconaw right now. Picture you and a girl standing alone in front of the sunset. This isn't just A girl, this is THE girl, and the two of you aren't REALLY alone in the sunset. It only felt that way because when the girl is present, the existence of all other life doesn't matter. Yep, you're in love, sweetie! Croconaw's in love with Eevee!

"Croco?" Croconaw didn't knw what was becoming of him. He was staring at Eevee, just as I was alluding to.

Dustin gaped. Apparently, he could see the hearts on Croconaw's face, which began with a blush, "What the? Never mind this! Coconaw, use Superpower!"

"Croco…" Secondsd passed after Dustin initially gave his command, but the only Croconaw did was drop hi big jaw, drooling as he continued to stare at Eevee.

"Hey! Did you hear me, Croconaw?"

"Aww!" Piplup was gushing, her eyes gleaming, "This is so romantic! One falling in love with the other, and a slight breeze to compliment this s unset of a scene!" Piplup even went as far as jumping out of my arms and onto the ground, doing some of her signature figure skating as she sung out loud, "All, that's missing, is, a romantic traaack! Hm. Hm. Hm. Hmhahahm." Her melody was spot on. By 'track', I guess she meant music.

"Are you embarrassed that I purposely sent a cute and cuddly girl like Eevee to battle you? How about the fact that I purposely used a move as girly as Attract?" I gave Dustin the cutest, big bright eyed face I could. My maroon eyes glistened in the sunset. "Everything I'm doing, I'm doing to smack some of that male superiority complex out of you. Now for the finale…Here, have Eevee just stand here. After all, the 'big, strong men should at least land one hit'!"

"Snap out of it! Croconaw! We can't let them humiliate us like this!"

"Well apparently, you guys just did," Piplup said.

"While Croconaw is still wide awake, he's completely immobilized by love," I started, "This seems to be an extreme case though. Croconaw's lost all logical instincts, intelligence, and common sense. I'd say, he's unable to battle. After all, Eevee and I are purposely just standing here, and Croconaw is unable to follow through on an attack…"

…The wind would once again breeze against my blonde hair and maroon bangs, and my eyes narrowed as we all came to the revelation:

"This battle is over…" This match was so out of hand, so pathetic, one-sided, and decisive, it actually forced the hand of the mysterious hooded little boy sitting at the distant top row of the stadium. Even though Croconaw was still very much conscious, the hooded boy announced-

Winner: Challenger Number 4, Chapel!

"Haha, we won!" Piplup cheered.

"We did." And an excited Eevee came running up to us.

I stared as she stood next to Piplup. They both were conversing.

"For women everywhere!" Piplup held out her left flipper.

"For women everywhere." And Eevee repeated what Piplup said as she met Piplup's flipper halfway, with her paw. It was cute, the way they were interacting.

"For a pokemon I haven't officially caught yet, you're awfully chummy with us," I said to Piplup.

Piplup blushed as she rubbed the back of her head. As she opened her eyes though, she saw that I wasn't flattering her. I was dead serious when I kneeled down to her level and said what would come out of my mouth next.

"Piplup, there's a certain guy I'll probably be facing soon," I started, "He's one of my closest friends, but that hasn't stopped the two of us from having conflicting differences. I believe by becoming stronger than him, I'll be able to change him for the better; you know, inspire him. The thing is, he's powerful…really powerful. I would like for you to battle alongside me when that battle comes…"

It was hard to determine the expression on Piplup's face. Eevee also had a hard time trying to guess what was going through Piplup's head. One thing's for sure, Piplup was far from hesitant or reticent to give her answer.

"We haven't known each other long, but I really enjoy being around you," Piplup started, "In the real world, I'm still waiting for you to wake up. But until then, I'd love to fight by your side!"

I gave a cool smile, "Then it's settled." I rose back to my feet, closing my eyes and crossing my arms.

Keeping that body expression, I calmly started walking, Piplup and Eevee following right behind me.

I couldn't help but stop right next to the defeated Dustin and his immobilized Croconaw. My arms remained crossed. My head remained down. And I never bothered to open my eyes as I simply asked him, "How was that for girl power, dear?" I just knew he was cringing inside. That just made this victory more satisfying. What's more, I really felt my confidence rise, which was crucial, with the eventual showdown between Seth and I looming.

My name is Chapel, and I'm really starting to like this new flavor added to my character. No longer am I the 'Brock' of the group. I'm bold, bossy, sassy, and now I have spice to go with the words I speak. You see, 'Dear?' If not, don't worry. And if you DO worry, so sue me, sweetie. There will be more of the new Chapel to come. For now, this is Chapel; the blonde haired, maroon banged girl making her exit from the stadium that is this dream world…

..

Location:?

"This is only a sneak preview, for when the world is mine, and mine alone! HAHAHAHA!...Spoiler alert…"

This was a realm of utter hopelessness…The sky was red, and it beam down over the wasteland that was people dying. Commander 10 was relishing every moment he had in this sick, twisted nightmare.

"S-Shadow…H-how could you…" Yeah…Commander 10 WAS a nightmare, and NOT a dream. Crawling and squirming at 10's feet was his own leader, Commander Atticus, "Why would you betray us…"

10 chuckled, "Why would I?" He repeated. "Why would I betray the organization after they successfully seized the entire world? Easy, with Team Neo Snagem eliminated, I am the sole ruler of this world. And as to why I crushed your mind, making your death imminent? The answer's simple: I decided to kill you just because I felt like it! It's the greatest explanation in the world, is it now?!"

Commander 10 picked up the head of his dying leader.

And to his leader's face, he said, "Be sure to send me pictures on what Hell's like! I'm sure you'll be greeting me at the gate when I get there!" Those were the last words Atticus heard in this dream as he was thrown back to the ground by just one arm of the cloaked Commander.

10's dark aura began glowing stronger. Who else has he killed so far? Seth, Zero, Yumi…Commanders Yuna, Beatrice, Sakura, and M.C…Who was next?!

There was only one other Commander still standing in this man made Hell…

"No…" Her eyes were as wide as this wasteland. She was shaking in her boots as she never looked away.

"Looks like you're the only one left!" The tone in Shadow's voice was unnerving. Underneath the cloak of his, he licked his lips, for he was thirsty for blood. He was planning for his next victim to be his bloodiest murder yet, "Five year old girls are my favorite to kill! Don't worry, I'll be sure to make your death long and painful as you say your final goodbyes to this world! I promise that you'll sing your heart out when you're screaming at the top of your lungs. Whoops! I forgot, you're a worthless tool, so you don't have a heart!"

Commander 26, Rose was paralyzed in fear.

"Don't worry, MY BRAND OF TORTURE WILL MAKE YOU FEEL AS HUMAN AS POSSIBLE!" Yes, 10 was more excited about killing Rose than killing Atticus. He was intent on making his dream watchable for the empty eyes of all the people and pokemon who were already dead as he launched the dark aura, ready to pass final judgement once more.

The young Commander 26 could only stare in horror as the hungry dark aura was coming at her, and the rate was alarming. Though with 26 frozen in fear, how fast the dark aura was approaching was somewhat irrelevant.

Rose gasped.

"…Stop." The little girl, in this nightmare, had already accepted her fate in a death that appeared imminent. However, the dark aura was unceremoniously halted. By who? He was standing in front of Rose, effortlessly repelling the dark aura with some near-invisible shield of light.

Commander 10 appeared vexed.

It was the mysterious, hooded little boy who has kept up appearances in the matches that have come and gone in this tournament so far. "Your fight is about to begin."

"Let me kill the girl first, and then we'll fight!"

The mysterious boy shook his head.

Rose's breathing was audible, probably due to the panic from staring death in the face. She looked so unsure as she asked the mysterious boy, "Y-you are…helping me?"

The boy knew that this little girl was nothing but a product based in 10's dream world, and not the real 26. This was the case for the other 24 Commanders that lay dead in this wasteland.

The boy never replied to Rose, and instead countered 10. "The battle will begin right now, and I wait for nobody."

10 sneered, "I'll use my Mind Crush on you right now, if you don't shut up."

"How about you shut your mouth before I shut it for you, chicken wuss?"

"Huh?" The voice came from behind Rose and the little boy. Rose looked to see that a slightly tall, slightly muscular young man was walking past her.

His eyes remained locked on 10 as his long, unzipped vest breezed slightly above the wasteland ground, "Your voice is annoying."

The hooded boy spoke up, "Commander 10, meet your opponent: Terra."

Round 1, Match 3: Commander 10, Shadow vs Terra!

Homefield advantage: Commander 10, Shadow!

Commander 10's POV

Talk about an entrance. Not only is this 16 year old confrontation, but his arrogance is unrivaled by anyone I've ever met.

"Who are you?" 26 asked Terra.

"I'm the winner of this match." Terra didn't even look at the little girl as he took out a Pokeball. But he DID tell 26, "Now stay back."

"It'd be my pleasure to see the look on your face after you're defeated, and before…I kill you and your pokemon!" I grabbed my Pokeball, and threw it into the air.

"Gengar!" My released Gengar was given a very slight reddish hue from the red sky as he floated to the corpse-decorated ground.

The ghost type stood right next to the corpse of Zero.

"Hmph. Only an idiot would allow a trainer as strong as me to pick my pokeon second." It appeared Terra had second thoughts about his initial decision on whom to fight with, as he place his Pokeball on his belt and grabbed another one, "I'm in contention to become the number one trainer in the entire world, and against me, you've guaranteed my victory by sending out Gengar. All it takes now is one of my most powerful pokemon. I choose you!"

Initially, I believed this boy to be the stereotypical jerk of a rival to be frequently encountered throughout the journey of a cliché, altruistic protagonist. A rival, as I've said, was arrogant usually for the sake of just 'being arrogant', and sometimes is unable to back up big talk, coming off as weak as a result. This Terra was arrogant, but it wasn't until his pokemon was revealed that he might not be as arrogant as his attitude lets on. Maybe he CAN back up his tough talk.

"Da!" It was a pokemon without rival. And I have to say, this is the first time I've seen this dragon.

"That creature has an image reminiscent of a cerberus." 26 was expressing the impression the dragon gave her. "I call it a cerberus, but a demon or hydra are also what I consider approximate and acceptable."

"It's been almost an eternity since I've had a challenge," I said, "Your Hydreigon looks very formidable. Hmhmhm. That'll only make it that much more satisfying when I'm ripping blood out of your body!"

Now it was only a matter of time before the first move was made. In the eyes of Hydreigon, any other opponent would've flinched at the mere sight of him. That was not the case for Gengar though. What Hydreigno was looking at, was a smirk on Gengar's face. Gengar was hungry for death.

The wind was blowing. I expected somene as boastful as Terra to be hammering away already, but no.

"If you're waiting for me to kill you right off the bat, I'll be more than happy to accommodate! Gengar, use-"

…I froze…

"Shadow…" My name was being called. The voice was transparent, and it seemed so close, yet so far at the same time.

"What's wrong? I thought you wanted to fight me, chicken wuss," Terra said. "Why'd you stop?"

"Shadow…" There the voice was again. It sounded like Wes.

…But I killed Wes…in my dream…His lifeless corpse was on the ground, and his yellow eyes were open, staring at me.

Come on, it was time for me to use common sense. The Wes in my dream world wasn't moving his mouth. He COULDN'T move his mouth. That could only mean…

"Shadow, get up. It's time for our next mission!"

"What's the matter?" The mysterious hooded boy asked.

"It appears I'm needed in the real world."

Hmph. Did I ever care about this tournament? No. I only stuck around because I enjoyed killing everyone! YES! If you haven't figured it out, I LOVE NOTHING MORE THAN TORTURING AND KILLING INNOCENT LIVES, ESPECIALLY THE CUTE AND INNOCENT ONES! It's my favorite hobby. But now it appears that my time has come and gone here. Now I might have the opportunity to kill people in the real world!

"Now if you'll excuse me, I have more important matters to attend to." I recalled Gengar, and before the match even began, I started walking into the nothingness that was further into the wasteland. But before I left, I had one last thing to say to Terra and 26, "It's your lucky day."

"My thoughts exactly. I won't have to waste my time facing a grown woman like you!" Terra didn't back down.

I smirked. This guy had a dirty mouth.

26 slowly asked Terra, "We have won?"

"Why not?!" I added cheerfully, "I forfeit the match! Here, I'll save you the breath of calling the winner!"

Winner: Challenger Number 7, Terra!

I wonder where Neo Snagem will send me this time around? Hehehe…

..

Round 1, Match 4: Twilight vs Yumi!

Homefield advantage: Yumi!

...

The Song of Twilight and Espurr…

Dreams are like the wind.

Guiding me to the light.

Overcoming the light and clouds,

Your voice echoes…

The tender present moment keeps

Happiness

And the bad memories far away.

And the night, will go on, quietly…

Even the footprints

Remaining at this place

Begin to disappear and distort,

Like stars…

Inside of dreams,

The heart that was born,

You're watching me

Through the glass window

I shut it within the moment

Cast off the clinging feelings

And collect all thoughts together…

Madoka: Megu kakizaki

-Disclaimer: I do not own the song, nor do I own the lyrics.

"This song, I sing to Espurr all the time," Twilight started, "I still have no idea who I am, but Espurr here has given me hints along the way on our journey."

Yumi's POV

What Twilight did know about herself was that she and Espurr have been sent from Heaven, in order to save her world from being destroyed for a greater cause. That was just the surface.

We were at the very citadel where Espurr's final battle occurred. Well, we weren't IN the citadel. We were ON the huge roof, and we were staring out at the Olivine sunset.

"Espurr has become my closest companion." Twilight was holding Espurr in her arms, "And while we are close, there's still much more to learn about each other as we continue our journey."

The same Espurr, I promised to raise like my own daughter, was embracing a cozy nuzzle coming from a Twilight who was blushing. And while Espurr's wide eyes remained seemingly motionless, the same couldn't be said about me.

Seeing Twilight and Espurr's relationship made me feel empty, and somewhat left out. I was sad, and the thought of letting a single tear fall from my eye crossed my mind.

What might Espurr think about me?

"Twilight is my new Mother," Espurr said.

I wiped my eyes, and sniffled, "That's great, you two. It truly is…"

"She's so cute…" I remember at the stroke of midnight, I sat next to Seth, and we watched as Baby Espurr opened her eyes for the first time.

I held a Pokeball in the face of Espurr, "You'll be traveling with us, little one!" I lightly tapped the Pokemon on Espurr's forehead, and in Espurr went. The Pokeball flashed repeatedly in my hand, and after a few seconds, it clicked shut, indicating that the baby pokemon was mine.

Everything went silent, meaning nothing would keep Twilight and Espurr was hearing what I had to say. I looked away from them, and at the Olivine Lighthouse standing on the other side of the city, "I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't jealous right now."

My mood was beginning to affect the state of my dream world. Clouds formed, and it started snowing. The snow was very light, and it represented the cold mood I was in as I took a few step away from the duo.

I stopped on the other side of the citadel's roof, and was readying a Pokeball from the pocket of my black, shoulder-less furisode. I turned to Twilight and Espurr with distance now in between us.

It wasn't Twilight's fault that my mood was changing. Her song though…I guess I was just mad at myself because I couldn't establish the type of relationship with Espurr that Twilight did. Twilight's actually a nice person. Sure she's a little introverted, and she can be brutally honest in the face of confrontation, but she's still not nearly as extreme as Seth.

"Please, I'd like to get this match done with and say my goodbye!" I threw my Pokeball, as I was ready to move on to the battle before I was struck by too much sentiment.

Released from her Pokeball, Braixen immediately pulled out her wand-like stick, "For Yumi, I fight-huh?!" Braixen's jaw dropped as she stared at her opponent. Shocked and confused, she stood down, "L-little Sister…is that you? But how? Umbreon told me that you were…"

"That was in my past life, and my past life is behind me now." Espurr answered. "Do you have what it takes to fight me?

"I…" Braixen was just as hesitant and sentimental as I was. I didn't blame her.

On the night Espurr was born, Braixen and Snivy were sitting right next to Seth and I. Braixen went through such a struggle just for the right to call Espurr 'Little Sister'.

"Shall I take initiative since you two are hesitant?" Twilight asked.

I gave no answer. Yes, I wanted to fight already, but telling Braixen 'use blank on Espurr' was something that kept me still. So Twilight DID take initiative.

"If that's the case, I sincerely apologize," Twilight closed he eyes when she apologized, but she then opened them back sharply as she told me, "But the uncertainty of what could happen to me should I lose prevents me from holding anything back. Espurr! Zen Headbutt!"

"Zen Headbutt?" Espurr never knew that move when she was with me!

"As you wish." Espurr answered.

Braixen's eyes were so wide, you could see the reflection of Espurr cloaked in a light blue aura, charging at her.

"Huh?!" Braixen was too conflicted to do something.

"Braixen quick! Use-" I hesitated.

"Agh!" Braixen and I BOTH hesitated. I still couldn't find it in me to harm Espurr. As a consequence, Braixen was struck in the stomach by her little sister and her Zen Headbutt. She winced as she slid back, standing firm and not allowing herself to fall onto the snowy citadel roof that was our battleground.

Espurr was done yet though. She landed back on the ground, and was still cloaked in that light blue aura as she jumped at Braixen once again.

Braixen flinched. "Ow!" And even though she braced herself, she was still sent to the ground by Espurr's second Zen Headbutt, which was instinctive and needed no command from Twilight. "It hurts…" That's all Braixen muttered from the ground as she stared blankly into the falling snow.

That second Zen headbutt was unexpected, but still, Braixen shouldn't have went down so easily, so early…

"Is just standing there the best you can do?"

"Huh?" I looked at a Twilight staring me dead in the eye. My gaze shifted to Braixen.

…The entire time Braixen and I have been on standby, Braixen's had her wand in her hand, ready to strike. Hesitation still proves to be what keeps us from putting up a fight.

"…How can I fight someone I see as a daughter?" This was all I could say. I didn't answer Twilight with a direct yes or no, but my response WAS pretty close to a 'no'.

"The same way I'm fighting someone I see as a Mother." Espurr answered. Her facial expression remained unchanged.

"If they're not going to fight, we might as well finish this with another Zen Headbutt!" Twilight directed, pointing at Braixen with her finger.

"Fine…" Espurr answered as she charged at Braixen once more.

Meanwhile, I was shaking in anticipation. Braixen was slowly rising from the ground, and I wanted for her to hurry up before Espurr could strike her again. "Come on…" JUST in time, Braixen rose to her feet, and was finding her balance. Hurriedly, I yelped to Braixen, "Braixen! Hurry up and avoid the attack!"

"Ngh…" Braixen felt weary until, "Hmph!" Just barely, she was able to jump over a charging Espurr, avoiding Zen Headbutt…

…Or so I thought Zen Headbutt would be avoided.

In midair, Braixen was able to catch herself in a slow staredown with an Espurr who was staring right bat at her from the ground. It was in THIS tiny fraction of a second that Espurr was able to quickly react.

From Espurr to Braixen, "You are mistaken if you think a maneuver like that will work on me." With the light blue aura still surrounding her…

"AGH!" Espurr was able to jump up, literally knocking the breath out of Braixen with a Skull Bash-like Zen Headbutt. This Zen Headbutt, striking a weak part of the stomach, was critical impact; a critical hit that sent Braixen to the snowy ground once again.

"Braixen?!" I called her name out in worry, because where she ended up rolling to was perilous: the edge of the citadel roof, where the snowy city of Olivine lied hundreds of feet below. Even if this was a dream, I wouldn't want Braixen to fall off a building this high. The effect a dream has on the mind can be scarring…

"Ngh…" Braixen gulped. She had a horrified expression on her face as she did what nobody should ever do in the face of a big height: She looked down. "This is bad…" She quivered.

"Use Shock Wave!"

I gasped.

Twilight was serious when she said she doesn't want the consequences that came with losing!

"The match is ours!" Espurr raised her voice as she began to gather electrical energy.

I began to panic, and so did Braixen! In this state of panic, Braixen was swiftly switching her gaze between Espurr's attack, and the cliff of uncertainty. I worried this would scar Braixen for life should she wake up from this dream. I didn't want that to happen, but what could I do?!

"Little Sister…" Braixen whispered these words with eyes that were pleading to Espurr.

"There's no need for us to hold back in a dream, right?" Apparently, Twilight was more decisive than me when it came to whether this dream carried real life consequences. Who could blame her?

Even so, this didn't stop me from beginning to plead to Espurr, "Espurr, stop! You'll knock Braixen off the cliff!"

Espur began shivering, but she was still gathering electrical energy, "I'm trying…but I can't…"

But how? How could Espurr not be able to cancel her own attack?

…Unless…

"You…you still can't contain yourself when you've lost control?!"

That is what ultimately led to Espurr's demise in the first place.

"Sorry, but Espurr and I are the winners now…" Twilight whispered.

Espurr launched Shock Wave, and at the peak of my panic, I yelled, "Nooo!"

The words of Twilight and Espurr's song echoed through my head…

Dreams are like the wind…

Guiding me to the light…

Overcoming the light and clouds…

Your voice echoes…

Twilight described herself as an angel, sent from Heaven in order to save her world from the light that threatens balance.

Could this angel of Heaven be using this dream to guide Braixen and I to the light of Heaven?
