Pokemon Virus Version Chapter 102: A Gravity Rush

Flashback-

Location: Autumn Town.

Following the 'episode' about Yumi and Seth, and following Yumi accepting that she likes Seth, and also following the death and burial of Espurr, Yumi had returned to the small cemetery. Braixen, Snivy, and Umbreon were all outside of their Pokeballs.

As it has been throughout this first day of winter, it was snowing all over.

Braixen and Snivy were confused, staring at the tombstone Yumi was pointing at. Meanwhile, Umbreon knew exactly what happened because Yumi sent him to do battle against his little sister, in what would be her final battle thanks to Seth and Alice.

Espurr's name was written on the tombstone.

"What's happening?" Snivy asked, "Why is Espurr's name on here?"

Umbreon had an unsire look on his face. He wasn't sure how to tell Brraixen and Snivy what happened, not after the amount of effort they put in just to be able to call Espurr 'Little Sister'. Umbreon hesitated.

This left Braixen to reply, "I'm not sure. There are stones sticking out of the ground like this everywhere." Braixen and Snivy were so naïve. They faced Umbreon simultaneously.

Umbreon gave them an uncomfortable sigh while wordlessly shaking his head. "No, I couldn't…It'll break their hearts…"

"I don't get it." Snivy was still confused as he answered to an Umbreon who failed to reply out loud.

"Did something happen?" Still with no answer, Braixen turned to Seth, who was standing behind Yumi.

At this time, a little thought slipped into Braixen's mind, "…There's one person missing…What happened to that Alice girl?"

Braixen was hoping for something, anything from Seth, Yumi, or Chikorita.

"It's just…" Even Yumi found it hard to tell Braixen the heartbreaking news.

"It's too hard, and we don't know how to tell you guys…" Chikorita was able to pick up where Yumi left off, even though Yumi and Seth couldn't understand her.

Snow was sticking on the tombstone now…

"Espurr's gone. Forever." Seth was the only one to say this to Braixen and Snivy out loud. He always lacked in compassion for others, so he felt no pain in being honest and upfront.

Braixen and Snivy both froze. They were as stationary as statues, and they gaped as they stared at Seth wide eyed. Braixen could feel her eyes begin to tear up.

To Seth, Braixen asked, "You're not serious, are you?" She forced a smile on her face, knowing Seth couldn't understand her, "Please tell me you're kidding…Human?" His straight face remained.

"Espurr…she's gone…" While Braixen merely felt tears in her eyes, Snivy…tears were pouring out. It was never like him to be so mournful out in the open.

It is here, we begin this day with great despair. We have lost our own to the metaphor of freedom. A metaphor in which you are finally free from the struggles of this world through final judgement…

Behind every face, lies a once innocent soul. The soul that lies here was never given a chance to fully deveop, but has now been claimed by eternal peace. May you rest in peace, Baby Espurr…

Those two speeches, Yumi said out loud, and it wasn't the first time she did.

"We'll meet again, in the next life," Yumi began to finish as she stared at the tombstone of the buried feline, "And when we do, we'll right all of our wrongs…"

Perhaps the time has come for closure to be given to the relationship between Yumi and all her Pokemon.

Umbreon, Snivy, Braixen…

End Flashback…

Location: Yumi's Dream World

Braixen was in danger. This was far from a nightmare, but she was still at risk.

"I'm scared…" Braixen was shivering as she was on the edge of the citadel's roof, frozen in fear as she stared down to the Olivine City down below.

For Braixen, it was either the cliff, or the shock wave of electricity coming her way. What were we to do?!

"We're the winners of this match!" Twilight had no doubt that Braixen would remain unharmed in the real world. However, her judgement was very much questionable.

"Braixen!" Yumi yelped. She and Braixen were on the brink of losing more than just their fight, and all because they refused to fight someone they're so close with…This was someone who has now somewhat lost control of herself, and was endangering Braixen.

Yumi's hand was being forced. For the sake of Braixen, she had no choice.

"Braixen! Use Light Screen!" Though Light Screen was a defensive move, it was STILL the first command Yumi has called from her magician up to this point in the fight.

"Please, let this work!" Braixen was unsure of what the end result Light Screen would bring. Swiftly, she waved the wand-like stick she'd been holding this whole time.

In response to Shock Wave, Braixen would use the wand to summon a blue force field.

"Ack!" The damage of Shock Wave was somewhat deflated. However, the significance of Shock Wave was still concerning. Braixen was able to take the hit, but…

"Oh my gosh!" Yumi gasped, putting her hands over her mouth as Shock Wave's knockback still pushed Braixen over the edge.

"Is it all over?" Moments passed without a word, and so Espurr turned to Twilight as she asked that question.

Twilight didn't answer. Her eyes remained focused on the spot in which Braixen was knocked off.

No sounds were made, with the exception of wind and snow. Everyone questioned: Did Braixen crash down to the Olivine ground hundreds of feet below? Or maybe she simply woke up from this dream before landing. She was in her Pokeball in the real world.

They all heard a faint whimpering.

A single white hand could be seen making its way from over the edge.

"Braixen?" Could it be?

"That was close…" Yes, it was!

"Braixen!"

Yumi thought that only the worst of fates was in store for Braixen. But…Braixen was right there. In the stillness of the cold snow, she was shivering as she struggled to slowly pull herself from the edge of the citadel roof.

"So she remains…" Espurr uttered to herself.

Once back on the roof, Braixen needed a moment for herself to catch her breath. The wand still in her hand, she had her other hand on her chest, breathing heavily as she stared blankly at the crystal roof. She dropped to one knee. "I…" Braixen was crying, "I almost died…" And from one knee, she dropped to where she was completely sitting down.

"You survived, but just barely." It was Twilight. Despite being Braixen's opponent, and despite declaring the attack in the first place, she had a very relieved look on her face. She didn't want to show it, but she was concerned, and the slightest hint of remorse crept up in her mind.

"The knockback from Shock Wave wouldn't been much greater had Light Screen not been set up." Espurr added.

All of Yumi's worry focused on Braixen. In a panic, she an over to the quivering magician. "Braixen…"

Braixen was so frozen by the thought of possibly dying that she didn't bother to make eye contact with Yumi, not even when Yumi kneeled down and pulled her into a comforting hug.

Braixen's tears were already beginning to freeze.

"Braixen, it's okay…Shhh. There, there…" Yumi began to softly pet the fox while whispering softly to her.

It was never like to be overcome with emotion. Out of all Yumi's pokemon, Braixen was usually the most outspoken. She was always one to pick on the others, especially Snivy. She was also able to comedically break the laws of physics, 'if you get the reference'.

"Are we still fighting?" Braixen asked as she rested her head on Yumi's chest.

Yumi's POV

It was hard to tell. How could we still be fighting if we never fought in the first place?

"P-please…" It was because I didn't answer Braixen's question that she began to struggle to her feet. Her hands were firmly placed on my shoulders as she was rising. "Let us continue…" Just as she made it to her feet, Braixen stumbled while trying to find her balance. I had her back as I rose to my feet as well.

"So even after everything, from refusing to fight to near death, do the two of you still refuse to give up?" Twilight asked.

The snow was beginning to completely overshadow the city of Olivine below. It made the top of the citadel and the citadel itself seem empty…spacious or void.

Braixen didn't answer Twilight, but instead, stepped up to the plate, her eyes firmly on Espurr.

"I looked forward to having a little sister and best friend in you. And to think, that our paths have led us to this final showdown," Braixen said.

"It is unfortunate," Espurr replied, "But it can no longer be helped."

It was clear to Braixen that Espurr and Twilight had their eyes on the prize, and they weren't going to et their sentiments get in the way.

Braixen sighed.

Maybe it was time for Braixen to put her sentiments behind her as well…

"In other words, our relationship is nothing but a memory now," Braixen said.

It was abrupt, the way Braixen pointed her wand out to Espurr.

"Braixen?" Yumi said confused, "What are you doing?"

Yumi, on the other hand, was still hesitant on fighting Espurr and Twilight.

"Yumi, I'm sorry to go against your word, but YOU weren't the one who nearly died just now." Braixen kept her eyes on Espurr, "I was also hesitant on fighting my little sister whom I've become infinitely attached to…that was until I was hanging from the edge of the roof."

"Braixen…" Yumi whispered.

And Braixen continued, "Please understand my feelings when I say 'I should value my life as much as I value my little sister and the brief, meaningful memories we've shared'. Yumi!" Braixen raised her voice, "Whether or not you to fight with me is up to you, however…" It was then that Braixen visibly personified the passion she now had with a quaint but strong flame produced at the end of her stick, "No matter what! I'll fight Espurr to the end, not just for my life, but for YOUR'S TOO!"

There, in the falling snow, Braixen launched a stream of fire at Espurr, and Yumi watched wordlessly with her hands clasped. There was no telling what Yumi was thinking.

Twilight smiled. She was somewhat proud of the attacking Braixen for coming to her realization before Yumi could come to hers. It was never as if Twilight antagonized them. While she was hoping for victory, she didn't wish for the victory to be achieved in a less than honorable fight. This was a trait gifted to her by Arceus himself, as well as Espurr and all the people and pokemon she's met and travelled with, "I'm happy that you have some fight in you…" Abruptly, Twilight's smiled ceased, and her eyes narrowed, "However, we still have the decisive advantage!"

Without command, Espurr charged at Braixen while cloaked in the aura of Zen Headbutt.

Espurr charged straight through Braixen's stream of fire, with a little less effort than Braixen was expecting.

"What? How-ah!" Braixen showed visible frustration toward her less than desired result before getting sent to the ground by yet another Zen Headbutt.

As Braixen rose to her knees, Twilight said out loud, "By my count, that's 4 Zen Heabutts that have hit you, Braixen."

Braixen gritted her teeth.

"How was Flamethrower beaten so easily?" Yumi asked with a slight gape.

Twilight chuckled, and as she did, "Have you not taken note of the answer? The answer as to why Braixen continues to fall so easily to Espurr?"

Yumi stared at Twilight, "What?"

"Apparently, that is a 'no' to Twilight's question." Espurr said.

Twilight held out her black gloved hand, allowing for a single snowflake to land softly. She looked at the snowflake intently as it melted, "Every move, every action…Every Zen Headbutt executed causes for Espurr to become slightly wet due to the dampness of the melting snow."

"And being wet-" Espurr added.

Twilight finished with, "Espurr resists every Flamethrower, every fire type move at Braixen's disposal, in addition to hitting her with contact moves with near super-effective damage. All thanks to this snow."

Braixen rose from her knees. She had a look of utter disbelief at Twilight's explanation that made a lot of sense. Braixen was weak to the water-weak to the snow.

"What will you do now?" Espurr faced Yumi, "Mother?"

"Yumi…" Braixen was breathing heavily, "Please. Will you fight with me?"

"I…" Yumi was still conflicted.

Yumi was failing to understand how Braixen felt being close to death.

But Braixen was failing to Yumi as well. Braixen couldn't exactly relate to the conflict Yumi was having with herself. Simply put, Braixen didn't participate in Espurr's last battle in Autumn Town. Braixen also didn't deal the finishing blow. Seth, Alice, and Chikorita were the ones who finished Espurr. Even so, Yumi stood there and did nothing, and it was her choice on that day.

Yumi clenched her fist, "Espurr, I'm so sorry for what happened. Please forgive me. You are very precious to me. Precious to me like a daughter, but…" It was strange. It was as if Yumi's eyes contained a roaring flame that grew stronger with every word she said. Yumi had become serious, "My life is precious to me, as well as Braixen's. She shouldn't lose her life because of a mistake made by me. Espurr! Twilight!" Yumi called, "The both of you, I will fight!"

"It's about time." Braixen closed her eyes and smiled to herself as she crossed her arms.

"You are sure?" Espurr asked.

Yumi nodded.

"Then from here on, let's just stick to fighting. Our moves will speak for themselves!" Twilight declared. She had a very subtle competitive nature. Perhaps Terra's HYPERcompetitive nature has rubbed off on her…

Yumi smiled, throwing her hand to the side as she called to Braixen, "Flamethrower!"

Braixen smirked. She was excited to know that her trainer was finally going to join in, and in an effort to keep their lives from being in any more danger.

Flamethrower was launched, and Yumi knew now that its power would be somewhat reduced. It wasn't Yumi's carelessness that made her call the attack though.

"Espurr, Zen Headbutt!"

The reason for Yumi calling for Flamethrower of all moves was simply to get situated with the fact that nothing was going to prevent her from doing battle with Espurr. Espurr and Twilight were just as energized as Yumi by her sudden will to fight.

Espurr, with wide eyes, charged straight into the stream of fire while cloaked in the light blue aura of Zen Headbutt. To Yumi and Braixen, this was a direct hit, and an easy one at that, as Espurr was engulfed in flames all together. However, what they didn't anticipate…

"You didn't have to say it because your faces tell me everything," Twilight said, "You underestimate me."

It was then that Twilight smirked with confidence, while Yumi and Braixen gaped at what happened next.

"This Flamethrower…" Espurr emerged from the stream of fire, still cloaked in the aura of Zen Headbutt.

"It perfectly prevents you…" And then a SECOND Espurr emerged.

"From seeing…" And then a third…

"Which one of us is the potential real Espurr." There was a fourth and final Espurr who emerged from the Flamethrower.

There were now 4 Espurr, all cloaked in the light blue aura of Zen Headbutt. They all circled the stream of fire as they charged toward Braixen.

Yumi hadn't the reaction time, but Braixen did.

"You're not going to fool me with a trick like that!" Braixen yelled.

But How?! Because Espurr's face and body always seem unchanging, it seems almost impossible to tell apart the real Espurr from the clones. This was one tricky, but unique Double Team that Espurr was capable of.

Braixen didn't worry though. Despite the snow, there was a glint in her eyes that just spelled confidence.

"An easy solution!" Braixen jumped, dodging the first of the Espurrs, "All I have to do!" She managed to avoid the second Espurr while twirling to her right, much like a ballerina, or the singing, dancing Kirlia she once battled, "Is dodge ALL of them!" Then Braixen did a swift backflip, avoiding the third Espurr aiming for her face. "And then!" It was clear she had no plan to dodge the fourth and final Espurr coming her way. Braixen simply lit the edge of her wand with a small but strong flame, and stabbed the lilac feline with it. It stalled, and the Espurr was desperately trying to remove the wand from her head before disappearing into a cloud of smoke that immediately dissipated. The stabbed Espurr was merely a Double Team clone. "I'll take you all out, one by one!"

Braixen began twirling her wand, and as she did, blue flames began to circle it at a very high speed. Controlling Will-O-Wisp was something Braixen had a talent for like no other.

"Charge!" Twilight was excited, calling for the three remaining Espurr to go after Braixen again.

Espurr and the clones complied, and didn't even need the use of Zen Headbutt this time. It was a simple head to head showdown, Braixen waiting for the trio to come her way while still twirling her wand.

Twilight was well aware that attack was not called. The cold snow sticking and melting onto Espurr's fur was beginning to add up as the snowy weather continued.

"Alright!" Wiierd though, was that Yumi felt nothing but her own excitement right now. She was picking now of all times to start twirling around like she was on television. This was HER vision, "You know what to do, Braixen!"

Twilight was alienated by Yumi suddenly showing her 'cheerful vixen' side. Yumi and Braixen were right at home here! By telling Braixen 'she knew what to do', Yumi was talking about all the time spent perfecting Will-O-Wisp's execution, as well as presentation. Yumi WAS planning on using Braixen in the preliminaries of the upcoming Pokemon Contest.

The Espurr all neared Braixen.

"Psychic!" Yumi called.

Braixen's red eyes started glowing blue, and the ALREADY blue flames of Will-O-Wisp grew brighter and stronger.

Now the momentum was completely in the favor of Braixen and Yumi. "Take this!" Once the three Espurr made their way, Braixen proceeded to send the large, psychic powered flames. Yumi watched with that confident glint even when the Espurr avoided the flames.

"Braixen, let's real 'em in!" Yumi reacted as soon as the flames were behind the Espurr and out of their sights.

It was like pulling in a Tauros with a lasso, Braixen still focusing on the Will-O-Wisp flames.

Twilight's eyes grew wide, "Espurr, watch out!"

However, Twilight's effort was wasted. Espurr was once again so into her attack, she didn't have enough self-control to stop and become attentive to the flames chasing her from behind. The large flames made the trio of Espurr appear as silhouettes in the eyes of Braixen, and the Espurr themselves didn't notice.

"Hn?" And the Espurr paid dearly for their flaw. The gasped as soon as they felt the touch of warm fire on their fur. "It burns!"

This was the first time Braixen and Yumi witnessed Espurr lose her always calm demeanor as she aised her voice. And there was need for Espurr to worry. Her two remaining clones were eliminated as she herself landed on the snowy ground that was the citadel roof.

"My fur…" Espurr whispered to herself. Despite being caught off guard and raising her voice just now, her indifferent facial expression never changed.

"Well, well, well. Little Sister…" Braixen slowly walked up to the lilac colored feline with confidence. Standing tall, she held her fiery wand right the Espurr's face as she announced, "Looks like this is goodbye!"

There was no time for the flaming Espurr to think. Those wide eyes of hers were staring right into the flame that was growing stronger at the tip of Braixen's wand. The situation looked grim on Twilight's part, from a win or lose standpoint.

Espurr was finished.

Braixen launched a full power Flamethrower at onto Espurr at point blank range.

Twilight somehow didn't look all too worried now. Did she have some sort of plan? Her Espurr was being charred by a critical impact Flamethrower.

There, the Flamethrower, being a critical hit, finally lifted Espurr off the ground, sending her flying…

"Espurr!" Yumi called.

Yes, Espurr was sent flying…all the way off the roof. Perhaps this was Yumi saying her final goodbye to her baby. Flamethrower had knocked Espurr further over the edge than Shock Wave did to Braixen earlier. Braixen and Yumi, with momentum on their side, knew victory was upon them.

This match was over, as Espurr was too far over the edge to try and grab on. There, just like the millions of snowflakes, Espurr was going to fall to the Olivine ground below.

...She 'WAS' going to fall to the Olivine ground below…

Twilight smiled as she watched and waited.

This whole time, the eyes of the flaming Espurr remained static. Those eyes began to glow light blue, and then something breathtaking was executed.

"Huh?!" Braixen and Yumi were both vexed.

What happened? Some sort of spherical field of purple energy surrounded Espurr, and she stopped falling. In this spherical, force field-like 'thing', not only did Espurr stop falling but the snowflakes surrounding her were no longer descending. They remained in midair!

Wordlessly, with this purple force field still surrounding her, the flaming Espurr flew back onto the roof. Her flight had greater speed and agility than any flying type Yumi and Braixen had ever seen.

"Did you think you'd won?" It was unclear whether Espurr was talking to Yumi or Braixen specifically, since she was staring in both their directions.

Braixen's jaw dropped, and she was too vexed to say a thing.

Yumi was staring at the flaming Espurr floating a fair distance over the roof as she asked, "What just happened?"

"One of our many gifts from Heaven itself…" Twilight's eyes were closed, and both her hands were on her heart as she said that. After her prayer, she opened her eyes and answered to Yumi, "Yumi, we're not just two ordinary people/pokemon living ordinary lives. Espurr…with Heaven's gift, she has the power to control gravity around her using her psyhic power. I didn't think we'd need Heaven's power in this match, but I guess it can't be helped anymore. Not only does Espurr have an unrivaled level of flight capabilities, but watch this!"

Twilight snapped her fingers, meaning that the time has time for Yumi and Braixen to witness another surprise.

"You're kidding…" Braixen watched in awe as Espurr began using her gravitational psychic power to create large shards of ice…all forming in the shape of giant needle-like pillars!

Those pillars were all directed at Braixen!

Yumi gasped. She could've commanded for Braixen to dodge what Espurr now had loaded, but even she questioned to herself: COULD Braixen avoid everything?

Braixen had doubt written all over her face, and she said nothing.

Perhaps this was the battle's final turning point.

Yes…this was Twilight's time. The girl gifted with Heaven's power in order to save her world from a greater cause…she eyed Yumi and Braixen, and she seemed so sure of herself.

Twilight and Espurr have held this power back all along, and though they never said it out loud, they STILL have plenty of reserves and then some. The power over gravity was only to be used for a cause that would benefit the world for the greater good. Unsure of what a defeat would bring, Twilight and Espurr had no choice.

"There is no chance for you to win, Mother Yumi," Espurr said out loud.

"Let's finish this!" And at Twilight's command, Espurr started launching the many ice needles at Braixen.

Braixen's eyes widened. So many objects now coming her way, it was difficult for her to think about timing her movements to dodge every projectile.

This was a gravity rush!

Braixen's last stand has passed by. She was dodging, but it only took until the fourth projectile for her to get stricken.

Yumi began to quiver in the cold of the snow as Braixen was struck right on her chest; on her heart. That single hit was more than enough for Yumi to… "That power…" it enough for Yumi to immediately realize how big the gap between herself and Twilight was, in terms of power and ability.

Yumi's POV

Braixen and I never stood a chance…

"No…" Braixen was breathing heavily, and she was on the gound now. "I…can't…lose…"

"My little Espurr…" There was no use in commanding Braixen anymore. That psychic gravity powered projectile had paralyzed her. She was whispering to herself that she didn't want to lose like this, but it couldn't be helped.

Our dream was once again, on the brink of ruin…

And my little Espurr…She grown stronger since she was last in her past life.

"Give it one last charge, Espurr!"

Twilight called to Espurr, and by 'last charge', I guess she was talking about Zen Headbutt.

Espurr, while still in the purple sphere, began to glow light blue again.

"Heaven's power Zen Headbutt!"

The aura was so warm and bright, the snow around Espurr began to instantly evaporate, and I began to feel the temperature rise. How long has it been since I wasn't in this snowy climate?

Espurr charged at Braixen intensely. She was using her power to perform what I'll once again call, 'a gravity rush'.

Braixen was already down, but Twilight was determined to deliver the final blow. It was something that was as clear as day to all of us:

"I lost…" I muttered to myself.

What's next for me now?

There was no point in allowing Braixen to take Espurr's gravity rush, so I did what my trainer instinct were telling me to do.

"Stop!" I quickly rushed onto our battlefield. I stood calmly in between the charging Espurr and the downed Braixen. Twilight got the hint, and fortunately, Espurr had yet to unfold her and reveal her second set of eyes, unlike with Shock Wave. In other words, Espurr was still in control of herself…either that, or Heaven was in control of her.

Espurr was charging at Braixxen with a lot of energy, so I understood when she was unable to come to a complete stop at the last second.

"Espurr!" At the very least, Espurr was able to dismiss the gravity sphere and the light blue aura surrounding her. This battle was slowing down, somewhat. And with me standing in front of Braixen, I was able to catch Espurr in my arms. Espurr's momentum sent us both to the ground.

Twilight came running to us once she realized Espurr and I weren't getting up. To us, she asked 'what's wrong?'

I answered not to Twilight, nor did I answer out loud at all.

In my mind I thought, 'I never thought I'd be able to hold Espurr in my arms like this again…'

I smiled. I remained on the snowy ground as Espurr stared at me with those wide eyes.

'I almost wish this moment would never end…'

Now was the time to say goodbye to my little Espurr, and for the last time as well…

I felt bittersweet, and I wasn't alone.

I was a grave struggle, but Braixen was able to crawl her way to Espurr and I. She was still breathing heavily, and she only had enough energy to sit up. She stared at us, "It was a great battle, sister."

Espurr could've sat up, but for some reason, she stayed cuddled up with me, "That it was, Braixen. And for that, I'm grateful. And you, Mother…" Maybe Espurr WANTED to be held like this.

"Oh?" Braixen, Twilight and I all gaped.

Espurr smiled…SHE SMILED! She was smiling for the very first time as she addressed me.

"Please listen to me, Mother," Espurr started, "Our time together was very meaningful, especially now. You and everyone else have helped mold me into someone who was prepared to save the world for a greater cause in the next life."

The heavy feeling in my heart was beginning to lift, and as it did, the snow was beginning to cease, and the sun was starting to peak its way through the clouds.

"Mother, your positive energy has affected those around you for the better. And Braixen…" Espurr faced Braixen, "You and you sibling rivalry with Snivy was entertaining. Snivy was always a snooty brother. And Umbreon…He never said much, which was still much more than how much I expressed myself. He was the silent leader….Mother? I have a favor to ask you, "Espurr looked at me again, "Please give Father Seth and Chikorita my apologies. Looking back at Autumn Town from a pint of view other than mine, I realize that I was wrong to stand in their way. Even that Alice girl came to rescue you…"

"Espurr, you were only trying to make me happy. You AND Seth were." I then began to think out loud as greens could be seen growing at the Olivine City below, "There were more close friends of mine that I wanted you to meet for the first time. Chapel's very dynamic now, and Rose is a girl you really would've gotten along with."

"One of the purest forms of love I've ever seen," Twilight said with a warm smile on her face, "Espurr and I are a work in progress ourselves." She then looked up to the sky, which was becoming as bright as a Lanturn underwater, "The clouds have come and gone, and it looks as though Heaven is shining down on all of us…"

That was Twilight's way of concluding this fight. This was the end or our relationship, because I wasn't sure if I would ever see her again….Maybe in the next life. After all, I made the same promise to Espurr way back when. Oh Espurr, I'm happy that our relationship finally has some closure. Yes, we'll ALL meet in Heaven someday, when my dream begins again. Because now, my dream has ended, as I look forward to tomorrow.

Round 1, Match 4 Winner: Challenger Number 8, Twilight!

To Be Continued…

Author's Note: Just a quick note. Although Yumi is arguably the favorite character in Virus Version, and although she's a great trainer in her own right, SHE'S NOT BEATING TWILIGHT! IMO the thought is absurd, and Twilight did a good job of disguising it until her back was against the wall. She's Arceus' angel sent from Heaven, for pete's sake. If this was SETH VS TWILIGHT though...yeah, that would be too hard to tell, because I DIDN'T add Twilight to this fic just so she could be buried early on. Still, Seth would be able to beat Twilight using his Fear form, and Twilight could beat Seth with her Heaven form. Chapel would ALSO have a decent shot at defeat Twilight, with the power of Missingno virus in it's purest form at her disposal.

In fact, Twilight was originally written to make short work of Commander 10, but killing 10's momentum would've been VERY VERY short sighted when talking about building a good villain for the story...That's also why I couldn't have him lose to Terra outright. Couldn't kill either of their momentum.

So that explained, I'll see you next chapter! Won't bother posting anyone's pokemon team this time! And a shoutout to Kat, from Gravity Rush!
