In a land far, far away, lies the kingdom of Fiore.
In this kingdom, magic is everywhere. People use it to power their vehicles, use magic to fight evil and so on.
Guilds are where groups of mages come together to work to a common goal.
The strongest of all of these Guilds is called Fairy Tail and it is here our story begins.
The year is 792 and right now, the entire country of Fiore is under siege.
The Black Wizard, Zeref, has ordered the armies of his empire Alveraz to invade Fiore.
Fairy Tail and her allies have all joined together in an effort in keeping Fiore safe.
However, when it seemed like the war was finally going in Fairy Tail's favor, Zeref himself cam to Fairy Tail and stole the Fairy Heart from Mavis Vermilion, Fairy Tail's first master.
The Fairy Heart is the ultimate magic source, if used as a power source, the super weapon Etherion could be fired infinite times.
Zeref personally ripped the Fairy Heart from Mavis and punched a hope through the chest of Natsu Dragneel, Zeref's younger brother.
Right now, Zeref is charging up his powers to activate Neo Eclipse, a spell that will take him back in time so he can undo all of his actions, at the cost of the current world.
Natsu, having survived having Zeref punch a hole in his chest, looks on in dismay as Zeref powers continue to grow and grow faster then he could imagine.
Natsu punches the ground in anger, the feeling of helplessness and guilt eating at his core.
Natsu had a chance to kill Zeref, he had a chance to end this madness and he failed. Everything that was happening, all of it, it was all his fault.
"I failed. I had one job to do and I screwed it up. When my family needed me the most, I failed. I am sorry everyone." Natsu said as several tears of regret went down his face.
"I always have to have help. Lullaby, Jellal, Gajeel, Zero, Foust, Hades, Mard Geer and finally Zeref. The only big villain I won against using my own strength was Future Rogue and that's it. I can't keep my family safe, no matter what I do." Natsu said, his self-loathing hitting him like a truck.
Natsu punched the ground once more in anger, cursing his inability to fight, as all of his magic was gone, his magic containers were completely empty.
Natsu then felt a change in the worlds magic and looked over at his brother in shock as Zeref started to absorb the magic of Earthland to give himself even more power.
Natsu grit his teeth as his anger spiked even more as he looked on as his brother was about to erase everything that had happened in the last 400 years.
Natsu then remembered something from his past.
Back at the Tower of Heaven, when he ate Etherion to give himself a power boost, he had temporarily unlocked the ability to absorb magic from the surrounding area.
He had never tried to replicate the effect, he had never had a reason too and he had truthfully forgotten about it.
But right now, it was the only hope Earthland had.
Natsu placed his right palm against the earth, feeling the cool feeling of dirt up against his hand as a slight breeze flew against his skin.
Natsu closed his eyes and concentrated on that moment, the moment on the tower that reached into haven where he had absorbed magic.
He remembered everything about that moment, the feeling of rage for the death of Simon and the pain Erza had gone through because of Jellal. The feeling of helplessness as he watched Simon die and his inability to act. His guilt due to Simon dying to protect Erza and himself because he hadn't been strong enough to keep himself and Erza safe.
All these feeling bubbled to the surface as a slight blue aura grew around Natsu as he continued his little trip down memory lane.
Slowly, ever so slowly, the ethernano that makes up magic began to move towards Natsu and then get absorbed into his body at a much higher rate then was normal.
Faster and faster the ethernano came, each little particle joining with Natsu and making him stronger.
Natsu lowly growled out as he felt his powers returning and stronger then ever.
The other Fairy Tail mages looked out in awe as several large streams of blue ethernano came down from the heavens and connected to Natsu, making him glow brighter and brighter blue as his powers increased.
"Erza, what's happening?" Lucy asked, holder her left arm that was most likely broken.
"It's happening. Natsu is doing the exact same thing he did at the Tower of Heaven." Erza said, disbelief clear in her voice as she watched Natsu absorbed the Ethernano.
"What do you mean Erza? What's flame brain doing?' Gray asked, a little irritated Erza wasn't giving them clear answers.
"Natsu is absorbing Ethernano from the surrounding area at an accelerated rate. He did the same thing when he first at Etherion back at the Tower, but he has never shown the ability to do so since. I guess this answers the question if he can or not." Erza clarified, still unable to take her eyes of Natsu.
"So, what does this mean?" Lucy asked.
"It means Natsu should grow exponentially more power in very little time, he might possibly absorb enough Ethernano to surpass Zeref soon." Erza said to her friends, all of them in disbelief of how powerful Natsu was becoming.
"You truly have surpassed me Natsu. Go and show the world why you are the hope for not only our guild, but the world as well." Erza thought with a small smile on her face.
Natsu was now drawing ethernano not just from the atmosphere, but now he was also drawing it from birds, plants, all living things.
All across the planet, the ethernano began to move across landmass as it was drawn to Natsu like a magnet.
Natsu as drawing more power into his body then could be imagined, he wasn't just holding the amount a single mage, he was holding a planet's worth of Ethernano.
Zeref turned towards his brother and to his shock, Natsu was now glowing bright blue as an untold number of blue magic beams came down into his body.
Deciding to end the threat Natsu posed, Zeref raised his right hand and charged up a golden ball of magic and shot it at Natsu.
The ball of magic not only enveloped Natsu, but also vaporized a massive area surrounding Natsu.
When the smoke cleared, there was only a 150 foot wide hole where Natsu once stood.
Zeref didn't say anything, he simply turned back and once again continued to prepare Neo Eclipse.
The Fairy Tail members that saw the event were heartbroken, supposedly, one of their greatest friends and family members was now dead, killed in an instant without a hint of remorse.
"Natsu." Wendy said, several tears rolling down her cheeks as she stared at the sight of Natsu's last stand.
"Dammit Flame Brain, why did you have to go and get yourself killed?" Gray asked as a single tear rolled down his face. He and Natsu may have fought, but they were close as brothers, so seeing Natsu being vaporized so callously by his so called blood brother was a punch to the gut.
Erza had several tears going down her face as well. She had been there when Natsu had joined the guild, she had seen the young boy grow up in the man that saved her several times. Who had fought for her when she was at her lowest, who had risked his life and future just for her. She had, until that point, never made an effort to make connections between her fellow guild mates. After the incident at the Tower of Heaven, she changed and started living once again. She owed everything to the man who was now nothing more then a memory.
Lucy had fallen to her knees and was balling her eyes out, unable to say a word. Natsu had brought her to Fairy Tail, he had been there for whenever she needed him. He had saved her, laughed with her, helped her and cared for her. He was the most important person in her life and now, he was nothing more then dust in the wind.
Those assembled mourned the passing of one of their best members.
After a few minutes, Neo Eclipse was completed.
However, just as Zeref reached for the door, all hell broke loose.
With force of a erupting volcano, a giant beam of fire came blasting out of crater where Natsu was last seen.
A literal sea of blue flames with silver edges came rushing out of the crater as well, swallowing up everything in it's path.
The Fairy Tail mages were too slow and prepared themselves for their imminent deaths.
However, when the flames reached them, the flames didn't do anything.
They could feel the heat of the flames, but when touching them, the Fairy Tail members simply weren't hurt.
Zeref and his soldiers on the other hand found out these flames where just for show, as when a non Fairy tail member was touched by these flames, they were burnt to death.
The flames stretched out to beyond Magnolia, anyone looking at the sight would just see a sea of blue flames with a single massive geyser at the very center reaching up into the skies.
Eventually, the flames died down and everyone remaining looked down at the center of the crater and gasped at what they saw.
Standing deep at the very heart of the crater, stood Natsu Dragneel, still alive, but now changed.
Natsu now stood 6 feet tall exactly, his salmon colored hair was now much longer and spikier then before, in some placed the strands of hair were over three inches long. Natsu body had also changed as well. Before Natsu was in really good shape, he had a six pack and was well muscled. Now his muscles were much more defined and much larger. He now looked like a professional body builder, there was no baby fat on him at all, it was all muscle. The Fire Dragon King tattoo that was once on his lower right forearm was now also on his lower left forearm. He facial features had also changed a little. They were much sharper and much more defined then ever before. But they thing that had changed most about Natsu was his eyes. They were so intense and held so much anger, but they thing that had changed most about his eyes was the fact that they were no longer the obsidian color they had always been, they were now a rich and power silver color.
Natsu looked Zeref dead in the eye and Zeref flinched a little at his little brothers piercing gaze, his eyes were just so intense.
Natsu then started walking towards Zeref, steps slow and purposeful as he walked towards his older brother.
Zeref also started walking towards his little brother, determined to end his meddling once and for all.
The two walked towards each other, neither one of them taking their eyes off of each other.
Once the two brothers were within fifteen feet of each other, they stopped.
Neither one of them said anything to each other, they just stared at each other.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Zeref finally said, "Natsu, what happened to you?"
Natsu was silent for a few seconds before he spoke.
"I did what I had to do." He said. Gone was the voice that Natsu once had. That voice held childishness, cheerfulness and hopefulness, but this voice was deeper, stricter and held a certain aura of power to it that Natsu had never shown before.
"When you began summon magic from around the world, I knew I had to do something. I then remembered I too could summon and absorb ethernano from the surrounding arena at an accelerated rate. So I began summoning and absorbing all the magic I could find so I could fight you on even terms. When you shot me, you buried me under some rubble and I continued to summon and absorb magic, I was just a lot more discrete about it then before. After I absorbed a lot of ethernano, my body activated the power of the ethernano and my body transformed into what you see before you. I had a theory that since I am E.N.D., I can absorb more Ethernano then anyone else on this planet due to me being created from Ethernano. I guess I just proved I was right and that you were right about me being E.N.D."
"So, you finally accepted that we are brothers huh?" Zeref asked, an eyebrow raised.
"That fact changes nothing. I am still going to stop you from hurting anyone else." Natsu said, determination clear in his voice.
"Are you? Then let us fight in a specially created arena. There we can unleash our full power without worry for others. I personally don't care, but I know you will hold back if any innocent can possibly be caught in the crossfire." Zeref suggested, wanting to challenge Natsu and see if he can finally kill him.
"Very well." Natsu simply said.
Zeref got into his magic pose, his right hand on top of his left hand, his right hand's middle and index fingers pointing upwards while his other fingers are curled inwards. His left hands index and piney fingers are outstretched and his other fingers are curled up against his hand.
A golden ball came out of his hands and struck the ground.
The golden glow went out in a circle that spread out over a fifty foot area.
The glow soon morphed into a golden dome that covered both Zeref and Natsu for their final battle.
Soon, the Black Wizard shall find out the strength of the Fire Dragon.
With Natsu and Zeref...
The two mighty wizards were now in a massive forest, with the trees reaching beyond 75 feet in height, there was also several large rivers running throughout this massive arena.
Natsu and Zeref were now separated by 100 feet of space now, both men just staring at each other, as if daring the other to make the first move.
Zeref then said, "So Natsu, how do you want to play this?"
Natsu replied with, "No warm ups, no holding back. Just go all out, because if you don't, I will kill you."
"Very well." Zeref said.
Natsu then started yelling out as he powered up. His blue fiery aura surrounded his body, growing denser and larger by the seconds.
The force of Natsu powering up was strong enough to create a strong gust of wind, blowing back several rocks and even shaking several trees and it was still growing.
Natsu's body started reacting, his muscles enlarged just a fraction, his hair grew slightly longer and spikier, his silver eyes glowed with raw power and finally, his two dragon tattoo's started glowing as well.
After 30 seconds of powering up, Natsu's entire form was now glowing bright blue.
The glow left his form and Natsu's new power up mode was revealed.
His flames were now a much darker blue, while the silver edges were much more pronounced and also, small white particles were also coming off his his form, giving this new powered up form a godly appearance.
Natsu opened his eyes and said, "What do you think of my Blue Fire Dragon King's Mode?"
"Very impressive. It is several times stronger then you original Fire Dragon's King mode. But it is nothing compared to what I am about to unleash. Witness my power." Zeref said as he to entered into his new super mode.
Zeref yelled out as his power began to grow rapidly, several large cracks in the earth appearing from the sheer force of his transformation.
A blinding light erupted from Zeref's form and made it so Natsu couldn't see him.
Once the light died down, Natsu finally saw what he was about to fight.
Zeref now had three different colored aura's surrounding him.
His had his white aura still, while now also having a black aura swirling around it, creating a Yin Yang aura, with the white and black swirling around each other.
In the very center of his aura he now had a silver glowing aura, the combination of black and white.
Zeref's hair was also much spikier and much longer as well, and his hair is back to it's original black color, while his eyes were golden in color now.
He had a Yin Yang tattoo on the top of his hands, while a massive white halo ring was on his back.
This is what Natsu had to face and for the life of him, Natsu couldn't wait to fight Zeref.
Natsu was a Dragon Slayer, they thrived in conflict and loved a good fight and right now, Zeref was going to be a great fight.
Zeref opened his palm and the Yin Yang tattoo stated glowing and swirling around as Zeref created a basketball sized ball of silver energy as he said, "Behold, my Full God Form. Are you ready Natsu? This will be our last battle."
Natsu ignited his fist's and said, "I am ready."
Natsu then ignited his feet and flew towards Zeref, a trail of dark blue flames with silver edges following after him.
Zeref pointed the silver ball towards Natsu and yelled out, "Full God's Smiting!"
From the palm of his hand came a massive beam of silver energy towards the Dragon Slayer.
Natsu simply leaned to the right and completely flew by the beam, closing the distance quickly.
Natsu cocked his right fist backwards and yelled out, "Blue Fire Dragon King's Demolition Fist!"
Natsu's fist became enwrapped in a bright blue glow and then threw the fist forwards into Zeref's face.
The force the punch caused a massive shock wave that destroyed anything in fifty feet, but it was the explosion his fist caused that did the real damage.
The flames from the explosion tore through the earth, disintegrated tree's, dried up the rivers in a second and sent the temperature of the entire arena skyrocketing.
If Natsu had used this move in the real world it would have been enough to destroy all of Magnolia five times over, but in this world the energy was stopped by the walls of the arena, so the damage was only in this place.
When the dust died down, Zeref was shown having been flung back five hundred feet from the force of the explosion, his entire shirt destroyed by the flames and now he had a massive bruise on the side of his face, while several burn marks were on his person.
Zeref quickly got back up on his feet and whipped away the small trail of blood from the side of his mouth and said, "I am impressed. That attack really hurt."
"I got plenty more where that came from." Natsu said as he lifted his lit left fist up.
"I am sure you do." Zeref said as he pointed both his palms at Natsu.
"Full God's Wrath!" Zeref roared out as a hailstorm of silver energy blasts went screaming towards Natsu.
Natsu ducked, dodged and weaved his way through the energy blasts, sometimes using his blue flames as a shield to block the bolts before they hit him.
Zeref gathered together a silver ball of magic and yelled out, "Full God's Vengeance!"
The ball was then shot towards Natsu and while it flew towards it's target, it broke up into five separate shots, making it so some of them will hit Natsu, even if he destroys several of the blast.
Natsu engulfed his hands and yelled out, "Blue Fire Dragon King's Wing Attack!"
Gathering his blue flames on his back where his wings would be if he was a dragon, Natsu created two tendrils of fire that he swipe forwards to try and destroy the incoming magic attack.
His wing attack struck the balls and blew up three of them, but two got through and struck Natsu in the chest, causing a large explosion.
A few seconds later a familiar voice shouted out, "Blue Fire Dragon King's Roar!"
A massive jet of blue flames came rushing out and struck Zeref, causing a massive explosion.
When the dust cleared both Zeref and Natsu were shown to still be standing with almost no damage to their bodies.
"This fun little brother." Zeref said with an arrogant smile on his face.
Natsu growled and then said, "This is no game Zeref. You are going to answer for what you did. Your crimes against the innocent's of this world are not going to go unanswered."
Zeref continued to smile arrogantly at Natsu and said, "Then come forth brother and let's see your resolve."
Natsu growled out and threw his palm towards Zeref and roared out, "Blue Fire Dragon King's Plasma Beam!"
From his hand came a 7 foot wide blue beam of super heated and concentrated fire that went roaring towards Zeref.
Zeref pointed his own hand at the beam and yelled out, "Full God's Smiting!"
A silver beam came out of Zeref's palm and went directly towards Natsu's attack.
The two beams came closer and closer to each other when at last the struck each other in the middle between Zeref and Natsu.
A massive shock wave was generated as the beams struggled for dominance, the sheer force of the their struggle causing several tremors to be felt through the Grand Arena, while several fissures broke out all throughout the Grand Arena as well.
Natsu and Zeref were both struggling, the amount of concentration and power they were putting into these beams was immense and the cost of doing so was clearly written all over their faces.
Eventually, the energy from the beam struggle grew too powerful, resulting in the area where the two beams met at getting larger and larger as a swirling ball of blue and silver was created from the two beams and eventually, a gigantic explosion erupted outwards.
The devastating energy released by the beams was great enough to render an entire continent uninhabitable for life.
The walls of the Grand Arena shook and shuddered from the force of the blast, but they held, barely. Cracks were beginning to be formed all throughout the golden dome, they will fail if Zeref and Natsu continue to increase their power.
Once the smoke cleared, Zeref and natsu were both shown to still be standing, although Zeref no longer had is shirt on anymore, the clothing having been vaporized by the sheer intensity of the blast. Natsu's pant's were a mess, full of holes and tears. Both men had cuts and bruises as flying debris were thrown at them with incredible force. Additionally, both men were also panting and covered in sweat, the sheering intensity of this battle taking it's toll on the two men.
"I have to admit, this is the most fun I have had in a very long time little brother." Zeref said between hard breathes as he stared up towards his panting little brother.
"I hate to say it, but I too am having a blast fighting you Zeref. How about we turn this little brawl of ours up to eleven?" Natsu said with a smirk on his face.
"That sounds like fun. Pink haired Dragon Slayers first." Zeref said with a smirk as he saw how enraged Natsu became at that little poke.
"It is not pink, it is salmon!" Natsu yelled towards his older brother.
"Salmon is a shade of pink." Zeref said, smirking even larger as he saw Natsu's face starting to turn red with rage at Zeref.
"Why you little! I am gonna pound your face into the ground!" Natsu was now practically foaming at the mouth from
Sorry for the shortness of the chapter, this is as far as I got before I lost interest in the story. It would have had both Zeref and Natsu being taken to Remnant where Zeref takes over Salem's forces and starts creating Grimm/Etherious hybrids while Natsu goes around the world and tries to find him.
