If you've seen or read "Kiss the Girls" by James Patterson, this chapter is an adaptation of that and also the movie "Enough" because while Jason will eventually come through for Liz, she has to fight for herself, and be her own hero. I don't own the book or the movie, or ABC, General Hospital or the Character's therein.

Thank you all for the kind reviews and the support! I will always love Liz and Jason.

9.) Rules? Rules Were Made to be Broken

'Rules?' Elizabeth thought in a haze as she was shaking her head back and forth. The man came closer. He smelled like an expensive aftershave. He grabbed her shoulders in an effort to stop her movement.

"Listen carefully, and take what I say seriously. You must never try to escape. You must never call out for help. Do you understand me?" He let go of her shoulders and grabbed a drug next to the bed, swabbed her arm and gave her a shot of something to subdue her, "I will assist you in not breaking the rules but if you defy me your punishment will be severe," the masked man said as Elizabeth slipped into unconsciousness, "Relax, you're with Prince Charming."

He moved to the door and exited pleased, with his acquisition.

Some of his pieces were being auctioned off and some were staying. His newest one was a welcome addition. He hoped to have her for a long time. He had a unique pallet. He found inspiration in the beautiful women of Port Charles, and he didn't mind venting his pent up frustrations at them. Just a few days earlier he'd acquired a beautiful psychiatrist that he'd met at General Hospital. Being part of the board really helped him find the right talent for his harem. He took a deep breath and thought about Dr. Laney Winters. She had a wonderful mind and an engaging spirit. She was exotic too. Elizabeth was beautiful but too injured to occupy himself with at the moment, so he would visit Laney to fulfill his needs.

Elsewhere

Jason pulled up to General Hospital and parked near the main entrance. Diane was just driving in with what he assumed was her computer tech. She parked next to him and made her way over to give introductions, "Jason Morgan, this is Damian Spinelli," as she gestured from Jason to Damian and back, "Damian this is Jason Morgan. And you are?" Diane asked looking at the man beside Jason.

"Justus Ward, Elizabeth's attorney," Justus explained.

Diane extended her hand, "It's nice to meet you. Gentlemen shall we go inside?"

"Yes, I called on the way over, Sonny is securing the boardroom for us to meet and go over what we know," Jason indicated.

The foursome made their way inside. Sonny was waiting in the boardroom as they entered.

"Well?" Sonny asked as they entered.

"Elizabeth is being auctioned off at this very moment to one of your enemies," Diane stated as nodded to Damian.

Damian, shaken by the mob presence in the room clumsily reached for his laptop and opened it. He set it on the table and it showed a picture of an unconscious Elizabeth, obviously restrained in the back of a vehicle. "Any idea where this auction is being held?" Jason asked mortified at her condition.

"I- It could b-be from anywhere. I would g-guess local though. They uploaded this particular image quite quickly. The person selling is good with computers and concealing their whereabouts quite well. Every attempt at finding their location has been thwarted thus far, I'm afraid. But f-fear not, I'm the Ace of Cyberspace."

"Find them," Sonny demanded as paced around the boardroom table. "Any idea who the buyer is?"

"That was much easier to crack. He has an outdated system. His name is Manny Ruiz," Damian explained effortlessly.

"Manny Ruiz?" Jason questioned appalled. He had a horrible reputation. He was known for chasing after women and treating them pretty bad, some of his conquests had ended up dead.

"The good news is that he doesn't know who exactly the acquisition is. He doesn't know that Elizabeth is linked to any of you," Damian stated.

"That won't last long," Jason said dismayed. "I need to speak to Sonny. All of you need to step out."

As they two attorney's exited, Sonny nodded at this enforcer and business partner to continue.

"It's worse than you can imagine. Ric knew from the start. He raped her when she was a kid and he's been chasing Elizabeth and her son for the last couple of years. He's scared that the truth would come out, and he also wanted to claim my son," Jason said.

"We gotta find Elizabeth. I need to know if she's mine or not. Bottom line is none of this should've happened to her. Anthony, Trevor and Ric are going to pay for this. What are you leaving out?" Sonny asked.

"He beat her. He also had Lucky Spencer fly out of town and attack her. Bashed her head repeatedly into the ground, knocked her unconscious. We owe Francis Corelli and Lorenzo Alcazar of all people."

"Alcazar?" Sonny questioned.

"He's her step-father, remember what Johnny said. He helped keep her hidden, paid for some of her medical bills, gave Corelli money to help keep her safe."

"Corelli knows? But he's been on family leave all year?" Sonny questioned.

"It turns out he may have been protecting our family this whole time," Jason said.

"What are your plans now? You divorced Elizabeth. Now she has a kid that may be yours. What do you plan to do?"

"I've halted the divorce. When I divorce her I plan to be fair to her," Jason stated, "Also, there's Sam to consider. I've been made aware in the role that she's played in this."

"What does that mean, Jase. What role did Sam play in this?"

"Alcazar maintains that Sam stole the money for Ric. She supposedly planted Elizabeth's fingerprints. Then she went after you the next year."

"Is there evidence?" Sonny asked.

"Just the words of Alcazar," Jason said, "But Alcazar is distressed about Elizabeth. I don't see him making this up. What would he gain? Right now I have Sam at the Penthouse. I have strict instructions that she can't leave, for her protection."

"I don't know what to say," Sonny added shaking his head.

"There's nothing to say. I don't even know what to think. I can't wrap my head around the fact that Elizabeth is innocent. Look what I've done to her. Your daughter or not, there's no excuse."

"My last words to her yesterday, man. I keep replaying that in my head, over and over. We have to find her and figure all this out," Sonny said.

Elsewhere….and 12 hours later.

Elizabeth awoke groggy. She was still in the dark, dank room. There was brick masonry, and she was on a cot. She was still in the jumpsuit, well partially. She had a white tank-top on, and her arm still ached from her injury at the other prison. Elizabeth slowly stood up trying to gather her bearings. There was a wooden door with a small window opening. She noticed her limbs were shaking and knew it was the drugs. She remembered the masked man advising her to keep quiet. "Never call for help?" Elizabeth said at loud as she recalled his warning.

She made her way over to the door, and slipped back the cover that was at eye level. She saw a long corridor with other doors, 'What is this place?' she wondered. "Never call out?" she whispered. She figured she didn't have anything to lose. 'Screw it,' she thought. "My name is Elizabeth. I'm Elizabeth Morgan. I'm a nurse. I've been kidnapped. I need help." There was no response, which pissed her off. She slapped her hand against the door. "Come on, who's out there?" Elizabeth screamed into the void.

"Shh…Be quiet. He'll kill you if keep talking," a female voice said.

"Oh no," Elizabeth cried, "Who are you?" Elizabeth asked.

"I'm Mary Joe Capelli," the woman answered in a shaken voice.

"It's good to hear your voice Mary Joe. Are you alright?" Elizabeth asked.

"I'm Kirsten Mills," another voice called out. Elizabeth was shocked, "I'm here too." Elizabeth blinked back tears at this.

"I'm Melissa Stanley. I've been here so long. What day is it?" the new voice asked. Elizabeth was sick at this.

"I'm Rebecca Jones," another voice called.

"I'm Rose Waters," came another shaken voice.

"I'm Laney Winters. I've been here 5 days. I believe," the woman said. Elizabeth only cried in response. All those trapped voices. These women, these poor trapped women. 'How will I ever get out of here?'

Elizabeth shut the door to the eye opening, and turned around. She need to think. She had to survive. She had to get to Cameron.

Flashback

"Close your eyes," Francis said.

Elizabeth did as she was instructed. The gym smelled of sweat. It was just the two of them. He was circling her. She had her hair in ponytail. She was wearing a sports bra, and stretch pants that ended mid-calf. It was the same every day for the past month and half. Epiphany was watching Cameron at a safe house on the island, and Francis trained her every day for 8 hours.

"I'm not here. Ric's not here." Then Francis hit her with a handheld punching bag.

Elizabeth opened her eyes, and gave 5 jabs with each hand to Francis as held the bag in front of him. Then he yelled, "Stop. Take a breath. Close your eyes again." Then he hit her with the bag and the rapid fire jabs started again. Then she brought Francis forward and kneed the bag repeatedly for good measure. They worked on balance training.

"Are you ready?" Francis asked.

"Yes," she replied.

"Are you sure?" Francis asked.

"No, I can't. I won't lose." Elizabeth replied.

"Can they hurt you?" Francis replied.

"No," Elizabeth replied.

"Even though they are far bigger than you?" Francis asked.

"No," Elizabeth replied.

"Even though they are stronger than you?" Francis jabbed at Elizabeth.

"They are all a lot stronger than I am," Elizabeth answered taking a breath and dodging a jab.

As Elizabeth was drinking water Francis advised, "Get some rest tonight. Tomorrow, we're going to work on the dodge ball tomorrow." He held up a lemon that had been sliced in have and she extended a jab with her index finger and her middle finger sticking out. An attack meant to blind someone after her.

Day after day it was non-stop training. She could never be prepared enough.

End Flashback.

"Okay, Francis. Let's see what I can do," Elizabeth said.

For hours, despite her drug induced fugue, she shadowboxed waiting for her opportunity.

"It takes twice as much energy swing and miss as it does to actually connect with your target," Elizabeth said out loud.

She heard footsteps approaching. A tray was pushed through the middle of the door. She slowly made her way over to the tray and took the food. After her captivity with Ric, she was very choosy about where her food came from. Being trapped for months as she watched Faith Rosco poison a few people gave pause on trusting food from just anywhere. The situation she was in certainly didn't make her want to eat. On the other hand she needed her strength. It was clear that this guy wanted her around for a while. She decided to contemplate the pros and cons of eating the sandwich on the plate.

Her ears perked up again as she heard to voices arguing down the corridor.

"You did what?" The male voice said.

"You can't keep her. She fetches too high a price." The other voice said. It was familiar, but she couldn't place it.

"I was planning on keeping her. She's special," the other voice yelled, "If we weren't family I would kill you for what you've done. How dare you go behind my back! She wasn't supposed to be auctioned off yet," the voice spewed full of venom. It was the Prince Charming guy.

"If you plan on using her you better do it. The buyer isn't someone who will be willing to wait," the other voice stated.

"Fine, she broke the rules anyways," said Prince Charming.

Elizabeth got up from the bed. She heard him walking toward the door. The door unlocked and the masked figure from before stopped in front of her.

"I thought I was very specific with my rules," as the Prince said this he dropped a rope from his hands.

"I'm sorry," Elizabeth replied as she backed up.

"Give me your arm," Prince Charming demanded.

"Please no, I'll do whatever you want," Elizabeth shrank back.

"Oh, I know you will," the masked man replied. He leaned forward to grab Elizabeth. He was going to try and drug her again, and he had a needle ready. Elizabeth wasted no time, and kneed him twice right in the groin and then elbowed him in the face.

Thankfully, the door had been left open and Elizabeth ran forward, but there was no exit, so she ran down another hallway with a bit of lighting. The prince was yelling for her to stop, but she was kept moving.

'Can't stop now,' she thought. She tripped in the uneven ground of the long hall. She got up, but her legs were heavy. She stumbled a few more feet and there she saw light. Now both voices were calling for her, but she kept running. She made it to the light and kept going. It must have been mid-day the sun was in the sky. She was running downhill and both men were screaming. She heard a noise that sounded like gunfire and it distracted her. She tripped and tumbled down the hill. As she rose, she could tell that her ankle was definitely sprained but she couldn't stop. She wouldn't. She kept going, and suddenly there was nowhere left to run.

When she turned around she came face to face with the officer from the PCPD. 'Lucky,' she thought disoriented. He was holding his Glock. Then Prince less than Charming emerged. Lucky was pointing the gun now. "Come here Elizabeth."

Elizabeth turned around to look at the drop off. She was high up, she might die if she jumped, but a fate worse than death awaited her if she went with them. She then turned to look at both men, and stepped back slowly.

"Woah now, steady," Lucky said as he approached.

It was at the moment she knew. She would never be held captive again. So she turned and jumped.

Lucky went to fire his gun, but the Prince Charming stopped him.

"We can't shoot her she's been bought and paid for, thanks to you," the prince reminded the dirty detective. "Besides, if that fall didn't get her, the freezing water will. Let's go back before someone catches us."
