Pokemon Virus Version Chapter 128: The Unown's Spell

Location: Unown Ruins

There is no POV

The Leader-Commander 12

The Mastermind-Zeno and Magnezone

The Muscle-Emboar

The Returner-Commander 19

The Returner-Commander 21

These six member Neo Snagem members made a subgroup known as The New Alliance.

After the New Alliance's triumph over the illusionary Entei, all that remained was to put their plot to seize Violet City into fruition.

Commander 12 was leading the way, Chatot perched on her shoulder. Zeno was perched on a Magnezone proceeding forward, floating above the ground. Commander 21 was being pushed forward by Emboar, while Commander 19 covered the rear.

"Boar!" Emboar put his arm forward, threatening 21 to hasten his pace.

"Move it, dirtbag." 19's arms were crossed.

"Boar. Boar!"

Commander 21 had been silent to this point. He took the abuse from Emboar and 19 while retaining a straight face. No emotion, no glares-he kept his face turned away from 19 since escaping from prison…But what the world didn't see, was a conflicted man. 21 hid his frustration toward 19-as well as an apologetic expression that hadn't been present since their early days in imprisonment.

…Commander 21's hesitance was the reason why 19 was defeated, as well as hundreds of other Neo Snagem Grunts. Certainly, news of their imprisonment would've reached the upper Neo Snagem Command. During their imprisonment days, 19 wouldn't stop talking about how Atticus would break them out…maybe even Zero…The entire brigade tasked with seizing Violet City was left behind, and forgotten. Adding insult to injury, the same Commander Zero now stands as Neo Snagem's enemy.

Would Zero still be with Neo Snagem if someone as 'hesitant' as 21 were there to serve as a set of ears to vent his frustration? 21 was the only other person to question Neo Snagem's method to their madness. The time has passed for that question to be pondered on…

"Boar!" Emboar pushed 21 again, and this time, 21 fell to the ground.

"Get up." 19 commanded.

"Emboar."

"…" The tension was rising. For the first time, 21 began to let his frustration show. Still, he refused to face 19, but he started shaking.

"Hmph." 19 saw this, and couldn't help but smirk. Nothing was funny, he was simply amused. It could not be helped, the contempt 19 held for 21. The chance that 19 would never be a free man again was probable, but that was then and this is now. Now that 19 was free, he wasn't going to let his guard down. He was ready to strike 21 at the first hint of hesitation against the needs of Neo Snagem.

19 walked around 21, stopping to where he was standing right in front. It looked as if 21 was on his knees, bowing down to a 21 in complete control.

"I said get up. NOW!" 19 raised his voice, and it echoed throughout the Unown Ruins.

21 was tempted to strike 19. He cared not that Emboar was waiting to retaliate on 19's behalf. The thought of punching 21 to the floor felt so vindicating at this very moment…He almost wished that they were back in imprisonment. Forced to allow abuse and follow the every order of an emotionally exasperating human being…this was nothing but humiliating.

21 slowly rose to his feet, and he eyed 19 with a stone cold stare.

"What, you wanna fight?" 19 asked.

"Boar!" Emboar imposed a heavy atmosphere, reminding 21 of the vegetative state he'd be in should he fall prey to his desire to strike.

21 gritted his teeth.

"Fools." While still proceeding forward on Magnezone, Zeno turned slightly in their direction. He found nothing amusing about their conflict, and furrowed his eyebrows, "You two owe me your freedom, therefore, you will do as I say during this mission. Do I make myself clear?"

"Boar…" 19 and 21 didn't reply.

"Now, come." Zeno left his interaction with the two at that, and turned his head forward again.

"Boar!" Emboar pushed 21 forward.

"You heard him. Get a move on!" 19 urged.

21's teeth remained gritted. Whatever thoughts he had of retaliating against Commander 19 had vanished. 21 questioned 'I mustn't let my frustration get the better of me…'. Zeno asserting his authority established one thing-the undertone of a double standard. 19 had been urging Embroar to use force on 21, but should 21 strike 19 even once, EVERYONE would be on his side. All he could do with sigh and stiffen his upper lip.

The rest of the trek into the ruins was relatively quiet, aside from the rambling of Zeno.

"Alas, we have made it." Zeno's eyes focused as stood at the foot of a deep chamber. This was not just any chamber-this was the room in which he spent many weeks trying to decipher the Unown hieroglyphics. Zeno and Metagross were unsuccessful, and Zeno was fired from Neo Snagem as a result. But now…But now…Zeno had a chance to redeem himself. Seizure of Violet City would surely have the rest of the organization welcome him back, as well as 19 and 21. "After years of research, the Spell of the Unown will be ours at last."

"Unown hieroglyphics, located." Commander 12 had remained relatively silent throughout the trek. It was her Chatot that announced the location of the hieroglyphics.

12 was the one with the Hieroglyphic Decipherer, so she was the first to enter the chamber.

"Naaaaaahhhm naaaaaahhhm." As soon as she stepped forward, she could hear the sound of the Unown singing. The Unown themselves were not present; they were within their own dimension. Their presence was so strong, their voices transcended dimensional boundaries.

12 tapped her electronic visor-like specs, and scanned the area.

"No enemies detected."

Even if the Unown WERE to reveal themselves, Commander 12 was not going to be deterred. In order to become strong enough to conquer Zero, she needed to stay the path of Neo Snagem, and gain boundless power. After the seizure of Violet City, she made a promise to herself that she would resume her pursuit of the former Commander…wherever he was now.

Zeno and the others right behind her, 12 stopped right in front of a sarcophagus perched on a pillar in the center of the chamber.

"Scanning, continued." Chatot said as 12 used her specs to scan the sarcophagus.

"Unlike the other Neo Snagem Commanders, I have my Unown Decipherer programmed into my specs," she took as single Unown tablet from the sarcophagus, "Deciphered, will be a message that will grant us command over the Spell of the Unown."

Zeno smiled slyly, "Let us proceed."

"Zoooone." Magnezone cried in agreement.

12 threw the first tablet in the air. There, the tablet halted, and started glowing a blue aura before rotating slowly.

"What? What does it read?" 21 asked.

"G."

"G?" 19 scratched his head in bewilderment.

It couldn't be helped, 'G' being questioned. There were so many paths 'G' could've led to. 12 grabbed a handful of tablets and tossed them into the air. Like the first tablet, these all halted, glowing blue before rotating in the air.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.

12 repeated her action, until the sarcophagus was completely empty. Every tablet was in the air, lined up and ready to be read.

"Read the tablet." Zeno commanded 12.

Slowly, 12 began to reveal what had been unknown for centuries, letter after letter.

"G-R-E-A-T U-N-O-W-N O-F N-E-T-H-E-R-W-O-R-L-D

P-L-E-A-S-E H-E-A-R T-H-I-S C-R-Y,

A-P-P-E-A-R F-R-O-M Y-O-U-R W-O-R-L-D,

A-N-D I-N-T-O O-U-R S-K-Y

F-I-G-H-T N-O-T A-S A-N E-N-E-M-Y,

B-U-T A-S A-N A-L-L-Y

G-I-V-E U-S Y-O-U-R P-O-W-E-R, A-N-D…

ALLOW ALL OTHERS TO DIE!"

This was it. The words had been deciphered, the Spell of the Unown spelled. Commander 12 waited for something, anything to happen.

Seconds passed, but nothing.

Just as 12 was about to question the meaning of the static atmosphere, she heard something.

"Naaaaahhhhhhhh naaaaaaa…" A single, transparent voice could be heard. It was the singing voice of Unown…Not plural, singular. This Unown was alone… "Naaaaaahhhhhh naaaaa…" as it appeared in place of one of the floating tiles. "Naaaaaahhhhhh naaaaa…"

"Naaaaaahhhhhhh naaaaa…"

"Naaaaaahhhhhhh naaaaa…"

"Uuuuunaaaaaahhhhh…"

"Uuuuunnnnnnnaaaaaaahhhhhhn."

"Uuuuunnnnnnnooooooowwwwn."

All it took for 12 to become bewildered, was a single Unown. It felt as if there was some sort of pause in time, because the second Unown had yet to appear. But 12…as the single Unown continued to float, she began to understand what it was humming. Its name, Unown.

Upon hearing the Unown's transition to humming its own name, 12 thought to herself, 'Deciphering the Spell of the Unown has also deciphered what they sing…"

Were the Unown capable of human speech that was able to be understood upon the deciphering of their spell? Maybe…maybe not. There would be little need for the Unown to talk to a species as destructive to this dimension as humans. To all people and pokemon, Unown communicate through spells.

"Uuuuunnnnoooooowwwwwnnnnnn." The second Unown appeared.

"Uuuunnnnnoooooowwwwwnnnnnn." And the third.

"Uuuunnnnnoooooowwwwwnnnnn." Soon, the room was littered with Unown from the other dimension.

This moment was grand to The New Alliance. For the longest time, they've tried and failed to uncover the secret behind the Unown and use it to seize Violet City. But today…today was a glorious day for Team Neo Snagem.

For the first time, scientist Zeno smiled without the sly, malicious undertone. His smile was genuine, like a naïve child. He resisted the urge to open his mouth. He desired to insert a remark to narrate this sight, but there were moments beautiful enough to warrant straying from dialogue.

Commander 21's eyes grew wide with surprise, while 19's eyes grew wide with excitement. There was a difference. 21 was completely for Neo Snagem's rise to power, but was conflicted by their overall approach. 19 didn't share 21's softness. He stared at the Unown in admiration.

Emboar, though stoic, could only hide his intrigue so much.

12…you could see the reflection in her specs-the reflection of the entire ruins becoming consumed in the very illusionary crystallization she defeated earlier.

The Unown Ruins weren't the only place where crystallization took place…

Location: Violet City

This morning, every person in this city had not a care in the world. They lived like they had done every other day throughout their entire lives. From the city borders, to the Gym, to Sprout Tower, all was peaceful. Some people were having good days, others not so good. The sun that stood in the sky masked the darkness that was Neo Snagem attempting to take over the city, over and over again.

Failure after failure on Neo Snagem's end, the people of Violet City no longer saw the organization as a threat. However, that was then, and this is now. Neo Snagem has risen to a power big enough to threat not just this region, but every foreign land on the globe. Until this moment, Violet City's self-proclaimed assurance of victory over Neo Snagem made them complacent. In a way, their previous victories over the organization was ultimately going to lead to their downfall…And it all started in the streets.

"Slash…" A Sandslash peaked its head from underground, gazing at its surroundings.

People, unaware of what was to come.

"Slash?" A second Sandslash surface.

"Shrew." As did a Sandshrew.

"Oh, a Sandshrew!"

"Shrew?"

In addition to being unaware, some unfortunate people were incompetent. The Sandshrew turned to where the voice came from, and saw a young girl approaching.

"Sandshrew!" The girl lifted the Ground type, and held it in her arms.

"…" Sandshrew was not amused.

"You're so cute!" The girl gushed.

The rebellious ways of impetuous youth…it was blissful to some, and bemusing to others. Sandshrew fell in the latter category…As it began glowing a dark aura.

"Hmhmhm…Um, uh?" The girl took notice of this aura, and rhetorically questioned the Sandshrew with innocent curiousity, "What's wrong?"

"Shrew…"

It was the aura of a Shadow Pokemon.

"Girl, put that Sandshrew down!" A mature bystander couldn't help but recognize that aura. He hastily approached the girl, urging her to release the Ground type with a noticeable sense of urgency.

The girl's arm was tugged, allowing the Sandshrew to drop to the ground.

"Shrew…"

"Slash."

"Sandslash." The Sandslash began glowing the aura of Shadow pokemon as well.

The bystander stepped in front of the girl, a Pokeball readied. But before any attack could be launched-

"Ble. Gible."

"Gabite."

"Pinch. Trapinch."

"Sandshrew."

"Slash!"

Many more pokemon began surfacing from the ground, all surrounded by the dark aura.

…These pokemon were all on cue.

The Sandshrew smirked…as the ground started to crystalize.

"Huh?" This caused the bystander to stand down. He was indignant, watching as the dark aura protected the Shadow pokemon from crystallization.

The people were astonished.

"They're immune to the crystallization?!"

"What IS this stuff?!"

They all scampered hastily, making sure they were able to avoid the crystallization as it came and went.

The Shadow Pokemon all shared a collective snicker. The first attack had yet to be launched, and the people were already taken out of their comfort zone.

"Sandshrew…" The citizens of Violet City were guaranteed a lack of homefield advantage.

"SLASH!"

"GAAAHHH!"

And so, with the pokemon attacking, Neo Snagem's 'on-field' seizure of Violet City had begun.

In a matter of minutes, every street had descended into chaos.

There was no escape…

Not everyone in Violet City were locals. Some were passerby trainers, in the wrong place and the wrong time.

"Let's go, Floatzel!" One such trainer, was hoping to escape through the body of water, located in front of Sprout Tower.

"Zel!" Floatzel was energetic, despite the chaos.

The trainer ordered Floatzel into the water, and was ready for the Water Type to propel him away.

"Rrr…"

The trainer stopped.

Right when he was about to get into the water, a single pokemon appeared before him and Floatzel.

A Carvahna.

"Vana!"

The Carvahna launched itself at the Floatzel, without warning.

"!" While the boy was experienced compared to the many 'beginning' trainers passing through Violet, he had not the experience to react to the Carvahna's sudden lunge.

"Zel!" Floatzel made up for this ineptitude, using its tail to launch a Sonicboom.

"Agh!" Carvahna was intercepted, and stricken. It fell into the water, below the surface and out of the trainer's sight.

This was a small victory, though it was irrelevant. "Come one!" The trainer got into the water-fully clothed-and urged Floatzel to swim them to freedom.

"Zel!" Floatzel was able to progress a few feet before…

"Vahna." The Carvahna reappeared.

"Rrrrr…" And a Sharpedo.

The trainer's eyes widened.

"Zel…" Carvahna was not the only pokemon in the body of water, and Floatzel began to realize it. Coming to this realization, Floatzel's confidence was cut.

"Vahna."

"Vahna."

"Vahna."

"Sharpedo."

"Vahna."

MANY Carvahna and Sharpedo surfaced, their intimidating stares all on Floatzel and its trainer. They ALL began to glow the dark aura of a Shadow Pokemon.

"VAHNA!"

"VAHNA!"

"SHARRR!"

"SHARRR!"

They ALL lunged at the duo this time.

"NOOOO!"

There was nothing the duo could do but scream at the top of their lungs, to a city unable to answer their calls. It could no longer be helped; Violet City's water route had effectively been seized, and this trainer would serve as the example of what should happen if anyone trespasses.

All shall be consumed by the shadows…

.

"Hmph." There was no fighting Team Neo Snagem-that was the status quo of the day. However, there were exceptions.

"Raptor!"

Neo Snagem's attempt to seize the sky was a struggle.

"Geot!"

"Buzzz!"

There was a fight involving three pokemon. Staraptor and Mandibuzz…they were surrounded by the dark aura. It was a handicap battle, the handicap being on a lone Pidgeot in the sky.

"Geot!" Pidgeot roared.

Despite the advantage going to Staraptor and Mandibuzz, they were getting crushed decisively by Pidgeot. How?

"Neo Snagem, attempting to take this city again…" A certain, blue haired Gym Leader crossed his arms and closed his eyes nonchalantly. If he's seen one thing, he's seen it all. "The organization stands no chance against me."

The dark aura surrounding both Mandibuzz and Staraptor grew stronger.

"Raptor!" Staraptor charged forward, using a Shadow Aura-clad Brave Bird.

"Ot." Pidgeot was as swift as a mach, effortlessly dodging.

Mandibuzz charged next. "Buzz!"

Pidgeot flew upward.

"Buzz?" Mandibuzz had great momentum. Upon Pidgeot dodging, Mandibuzz kept flying. She was on a collision course with Staraptor. "Buzz!" She flapped her wings in a panic, stopping JUST as it seemed she was going to crash.

Mandibuzz and Staraptor slowly turned to Pidgeot. If they had teeth, they'd be gritting them in frustration right now.

"Well then." The Gym Leader had seen all that he needed to. He knew that victory for Pidgeot was imminent, and could trust his ace to get the job done. He turned his back and took a few steps away from the scene before him as he said, "Pidgeot, intercept any aerial threat." His eyes narrowed, "I trust you'll come out victorious, while I defeat Neo Snagem."

His name is Falkner, and he is the most powerful trainer in Violet City. Since Neo Snagem's last attempt at a takeover, Falkner has truly honed his skills.

The wind from the sky battle caused his blue hair to blow over his face, as he started away from the lookout located at the top of his open roof Gym…

..

Violet City-the latest city to fall, and the newest as apart of Team Neo Snagem's collection…At long last…

And yet…

"…"

Location: Violet City-Southern Edge

If the ground wasn't crystalized, the grass would be blowing, just like her hair.

There Commander 12 stood, atop a hill in which she could see a Violet City passed layers of crystalized trees. The sun was beginning to set.

"Uuuuuunoooowwwwn."

The Unown unleashed, they accompanied 12 and the New Alliance. Each and every letter sung in unison, like a perfectly orchestrated choir. This choir was enough to mask the screams of thousands in Violet.

"You haven't said much today."

"Huh?" Commander 12 was addressed by someone behind her. Looking, she saw Commander 21. "21?"

This was the first time 21 wasn't under heavy surveillance by Emboar and 19. Perhaps being in the presence of a Commander ranked as high as 12 could arguably make for better supervision.

12's lavender hair and periwinkle bangs brushed in the wind some more. "I've nothing to say-to you or anybody else."

"Why?" Chatot asked.

21 nodded in agreement.

"Hmph." As 12 crossed her arms, it became apparent that something was on her mind.

"You tell us you have nothing to say, but it's really the opposite, right?" 21 asked.

"You will drop the prying at once," 12 replied, "That's an order."

21 shook his head slowly. If something was wrong, the issue would reveal itself in time. Still, 21 had one reply.

"You've nothing to lose by telling what's the matter," what 21 said next would cause 12's eyes to widen, "Though your a Commander, you're STILL human."

Nobody could see 12's widened eyes through her sunglass-like specs. It was as if 21 knew EXACTLY what was wrong. How did he know?

"Why say something like that?" She didn't know what to say.

21 sighed, "I'd be lying if I sat here and told you I've never regretted joining Team Neo Snagem." He replied, "It's true: My hesitance IS the reason why Neo Snagem's previous attempt to take Violet City failed. But…I'm only human-as human as every other Commander who has been eliminated…As human as you."

21 was softhearted. How he got into Neo Snagem was a mystery.

12 had but one thing on her mind. Though she told 21 not to pry, she felt the need to let some pent up frustration out, in the form of words.

"I thought seizing Violet City would be satisfying…" 12 started, "But this is a hollow victory. It's a hollow victory that I'm unable to enjoy, because of Zero…"

She's only human…

"I have no purpose aside from defeating Zero. But until I defeat Zero, a new purpose will be what I search for. It's weird…"

"Does this new purpose involve leaving Neo Snagem?" 21 asked.

"The thought never crossed my mind." 12 quickly shot down the idea. Life without Neo Snagem? No. Never. The thought will never surface in her mind again. She WON'T make the same foolish mistake as Zero. 12 accepts that she's human, but she's not a softie like 21. She will live and die by Neo Snagem, while searching for a purpose that drives her to surpass Zero.

"You two." After a moment of silence, 12 and 21 were being addressed by a Zeno floating over on Magnezone. "Come."

The two looked up ahead, to see Embroar and Commander 19 were ready to end their brief rest break.

12 sighed, as she started walking. This left Commander 21.

He looked into the distance as he thought out loud, "Should the day ever come where you regret joining Neo Snagem, would you be prepared to risk your life, in a bid for freedom? You and I are completely different when it comes to that question, 12. Unlike me, you don't regret joining Neo Snagem...but Zero did."

There was one last question he asked to himself, before returning to his less-than-pleasant status as the New Alliance's 'puppet, "If I were to leave Neo Snagem, would I have fortune of surviving the consequences like Zero?"

Location: Violet City Streets

The streets were littered with turmoil. Shadow Pokemon attacking humans, dead or unconscious humans falling to the alienating crystalized ground, Neo Snagem grunts imposing their will once it became clear the Shadow pokemon would be victorious…

"Uuuuuuuuunooooowwwwn."

The New Alliance was followed by many Unown from the Ruins, as they passed through the violent streets. Nobody within the group smiled…Nobody except Zeno, who smiled slyly as he and Magnezone passed an unconscious little girl downed by a Sandshrew.

"Uuuuuuuunooooowwwwn."

The tension between 21 and 19 has not subsided. It's like 21 said: He may be a Commander, but he's still human. Emotions were to be kept off the battlefield…but he wanted nothing more than to strike the Commander.

"Uuuuuuunooooowwwwn."

12 did not care much for this hollow victory, not while Zero remained undefeated. Her mind…was simply in a state of not caring. Despite this, there was a need for her to put in much effort for Neo Snagem's next obstacle…

"Brrm!" 12 and the New Alliance looked into the sky, seeing a Flying type hover in circles.

"Uuuuuunooooowwwwn."

This pokemon was not surrounded by the aura of a Shadow Pokemon, indicating one thing: It was an enemy of Team Neo Snagem.

"Brrm!" However, Shadow Pokemon WERE present…They lied unconscious in Dragonite's wake, like a cluttered battlefield full of fallen soldiers.

Zeno's sly smile remained, "Of course, these fallen Shadow Pokemon were mere puppets."

"Gengar, Zweilous, Vaporeon…" 21 named just a few of the fallen pokemon.

"So you knew these pokemon would not celebrate victory with the rest of Team Neo Snagem." Standing a few feet away, on the crystalized path, was Dragonite's caretaker. The Gym Leader showed no sign of emotion.

Zeno immediately replied with an answer that was absolute, "I am well aware of your presence in this city, Mr. Falkner." Zeno looked to the fallen pokemon, "These puppets weren't just weak scrubs. In their own right, these Shadow Pokemon were powerful enough to serve their intended purpose: Drawing your attention away from Violet City as a whole. Their order was to keep you from seizing decisive victory before WE made our return from the Ruins. And now…"

"Zooooooooone."

Zeno moved from on top of Magnezone to the crystalized ground. It was then that Magnezone moved forward, leering at Falkner and Swellow.

"You will not achieve victory this time!" 19 raised his voice at Falkner as he stepped up. It's true, Falkner was present when 19 was last eliminated.

21 followed suit.

"BOAR!" Imposing his presence greater than anybody else's, was Emboar. Emboar roared as he hopped from where he was standing and landed in front of the other New Alliance members.

Emboar and Magnezone both began glowing the dark aura.

In the face of growing darkness, Falkner stood his ground. In response to Emboar and Magnezone, he raised a single Pokeball.

Falner's gaze, for a split second, drifted to Commander 21. Before the fight against the New Alliance, Falkner had but one question for the once-defeated Commander.

"Do you still regret your contribution to Neo Snagem's cause?"

"Huh?" 21 questioned.

"I was there last time. I saw much remorse in your eyes, in the face of Neo Snagem's rise to power." Falkner replied. "Do you still wish to leave the organization?"

21 didn't know what to make of Falkner at this moment. It appeared as though he was staring at the Gym Leader, when in reality, his gaze was blank. What did he have to gain by returning to his innocent roots? What did he have to lose by leaving behind an organization that has all but forgotten him…?

"…" Emboar looked at 21 expectantly.

"You will not answer that question."

"What?" 21 looked back, to see Commander 19 acknowledging him.

19's eyes were furrowed, "…You failed to obey a lawful order from a Neo Snagem Commander that is of a higher rank than you. You single handedly cost the organization Violet City, and hundreds of grunts that had no business being imprisoned."

What Commander 19 was saying…he wasn't wrong…

"…You are in debt to Team Neo Snagem, and that debt will be repaid by serving the organization, without question, for the rest of your life."

"Emboar."

It was a life for a life. 21's life for the many imprisoned grunts. He and 19 gave each other frustrated stares once more.

"21, what do YOU want?" Falkner asked.

"…" 21 didn't reply.

"Hnhnhmhm…" Zeno was eager to interrupt, "By turning your attention to the weak Commander, you insult me and my intelligence, Falkner."

Zeno was ready to skip the rising action and proceed to the climax.

"…"

"…" This caused for Commander 19 and Emboar to follow suit. They returned to their battle stances and faced Falkner.

…Followed by 21…So he still aligns with Neo Snagem, even with the tension…

"So be it…" Falkner narrowed his eyes at 21. "Dragonite!"

"Magnezone? Emboar?" Unlike Falkner, Zeno's voice remained level.

"Zoooooooone."

"Boar."

"Eliminate Falkner."

..

Location: Violet City-Eastern Edge

Here I am, on my way over the hill, and away. My rest in Violet City was brief, but necessary. It was just me and the breeze brushing my brownish black and blonde bang. I was ready to resume the quest for my family…until.

"Hm?" There was strange sound coming my way. It turned around, to see what exactly it was.

My eyes widened.

The ground…it was crystalizing…

"Uuuuunooooowwwwn…"

"Uuuuunooooowwwwn…"

"The city…it's in chaos." I said to myself. "But how?"

An image pops in my thoughts. The image, of 12...

Once again, I ask myself: How? 12 was a woman who's lust for recognition overshadowed all else in her life-even. Now…what made her want to do THAT? When we fought today, there were no Neo Snagem grunts spotted.

I can hear it, the chaos in the city streets.

Violet City was a crystalized version of itself surrounded by the dark aura belonging to Shadow Pokemon. The people were fighting Neo Snagem, and losing.

Goldenrod, Ecruteak, Azalea Town, Marion City, Bloomingvale, Bonitaville…these were the many cities that were seized by Neo Snagem. Getting Violet City would effectively diverge Johto, as the East and West witness the entire middle region Neo Snagem command the middle.

Was there anything that could stop Violet City from suffering the fate of many before it?

Yes…Yes there was. That thing was me…Zero.
