"Oh God! What is wrong with me?!"

Tsuyu watched in concern as a flustered Ochaco paced through her room blushing and nervous.

"Not only did I insist we hang out, but at a time like this... he's right you know. We really should be focusing on preparing for the raid... yet I still pushed this on him."

As she had for the last twenty minutes Tsuyu continued to listen in concern but now scooted over and offered her friend a seat.

Ochaco took a deep breath and accepted the act of courtesy.

"Look I don't know what to make of any of this. It seems like you have some complicated feelings you need to work out though, so I'd say maybe you guys should still go. If you think that this will help you resolve those feelings." Tsuyu said finally passing the role of listener.

The brunette pushed herself further onto the bed and curled up into a ball.

"It's that fucking Pony girl. She's the one who has been bothering me lately." Ochaco said with a underlying sense of bitterness.

The frog girls eyes widened in shock as she was left speechless by the remark.

'Weird... I thought we we're all getting along.'

Ochaco raised her head up and noticed her response to which she seemed to adopt a troubled look as a result.

"Look... I just... well... I... I hate the way she clings to him! I hate how they are always hanging out together! I hate how she's so adorable! Everything about that girl just drives me absolutely crazy!" The brunette suddenly screamed out in frustration.

It took a while for Tsuyu to recover from the shock she felt from seeing her friends sudden outburst, but she eventually gave it some thought as well.

"Well... perhaps... your just..."

Ochaco immediately sent daggers at the girl with her ferocious glare.

"Don't you dare finish that thought!"

"But what if you are just jealous?" Tsuyu casually blurted out much to her friends dismay.

Ochaco immediately lunged at the girl causing Tsuyu to grab a pillow to use as a shield from the girls barrage of petty little punches.

"No! No! No! I'm not jealous! I'm not fucking jealous of that stupid bimbo!"

Tsuyu only worried more now as she shoved the pillow right against the brunette's face and pushed her off.

With a look of annoyance Ochaco threw the pillow back at the girl and crossed her arms while pouting.

"Sorry Ochaco, but you aren't convincing me. Not even close." Tsuyu bluntly declared.

Frustration welled up inside of Ochaco as she seethed over the possibility that she was faced with.

Much to her surprise though, Tsuyu gently caressed the girl's hand and flashed her a sweet and supportive smile. It was more than enough to calm the gravity heroine's nerves.

"Forget about Pony. And the mission. For now. I think this is something you have to do, just sort these feelings out before they overwhelm you and dull your heroic intuition. Okay?"

Ochaco grew teary eyed and immediately hugged the frog girl.

"Thankyou. Your the best Tsuyu."

Though initially caught off guard Tsuyu smiled and hugged the girl back.

"Sure, no problem."

Midoriya was once again on patrol with Mirio. They had the dayoff from school, but work studies never rest.

The two walked along the streets of the city as always while diligently observing their surroundings in search of a possible crime.

"Well, do you have any ideas?"

Mirio looked up at the sky while stroking his chin in thought.

After the longest seconds of the younger heroes life Mirio turned to him and offered an ever so reliable shrug.

"Sorry, I got none. Villains make sense to me. Always have. Women though... I'll never understand them."

Midoriya let out a dejected sigh as he let his shoulders slumped down.

"Ok, thanks anyways Mirio."

The two heroes turned the corner and briefly checked the alleyways for disturbances, though as before they're were no villains were currently active.

"You said she just randomly invited you out for the night, you also said she has been acting weird the last couple of days... Do you think something might have changed?"

Midoriya looked at the boy in realization that he may be onto something and gave it some thought.

He recalled everything that had happened as well as his personal history with Ochaco and understanding of her character.

After coming to a conclusion he confidently turned towards Mirio without a shadow of a doubt in his mind.

"I have no clue whatsoever."

The blonde was looking down at his phone though, not really paying attention until he realized that the boy was talking to him.

"My bad, I was just checking because I got a text from Sir. He said for us to head back to the agency. Our shift is over, however he does have something else for us to work on."

As he recalled his time spent under Nighteye's agency a sense of fear started to fester within the boy's heart. However he looked into Mirio's eyes and offered a complacent nod.

Now with a new destination in mind Midoriya and Mirio headed outside of their patrol path and began their journey back to the agency.

After a long day filled with hardships, Midoriya found himself exhausted as he wearily collapsed into his bed.

'That... was the... absolute... weirdest... and most horrible... training I have ever done... Nighteye really does hate me doesn't he?'

Pain surged through every joint in his body as he rolled over onto his back and checked the time.

'Its about time to go hang out with Uraraka. I better get a quick shower in and find some clean clothes.'

With his next course of action in mind the boy reluctantly left the comfort of his room and headed downstairs.

Knowing he was in a bit of a time crunch Midoriya immediately opened the door and set his change of clothes to the side.

He went to turn the shower on and then lock the door behind him before finally stripping down and waiting for the water to reach the right temperature.

'That should be fine I guess.'

Finally able to find satisfaction in the water temperature he stepped into the shower and let the warm steamy water wash over him.

Midoriya let out a sigh of relaxation as the stress and pain of training practically melted away over time.

But even so there was always something to trouble the boy.

'Why are we hanging out tonight? There's much to be done and this just doesn't sit right with me.'

He proceeded to begin washing his weary and scarred form almost absentmindedly as in his mind he tried to make sense everything that was happening with Ochaco lately.

'I want to be a hero. So many others do as well. I finally worked out my feelings about Pony's strange attitude... Only to find myself not understanding my other friend.'

The boy rinsed out his washcloth and laid it on the faucet before grabbing a bottle of shampoo and getting his hair nice and wet.

'Have I done something to upset or worry her? I probably must have. Why else would she be acting so strange lately?'

As he started washing his hair the boy struggled to think of what could have been happening to worry Ochaco.

'Its no good, I just don't understand why she has been acting weird lately? But... what if it's not her? Could I possibly be the one... that is interpreting things differently?'

Midoriya rinsed the soap out of his hair and turned the water off before stepping out and drying himself off.

He sighed in frustration while turning his eyes to his spare change of clothes.

'Does it really matter? The way I'm looking at it spending a little time with my friend may as well be a crime... And that's just so messed up.'

As he pulled his underwear up and then put his grey cargo pants on the boy finally felt a sense of clarity coursing through him.

"There's no need to overthink this." He softly muttered to himself with a content smile.

The boy slipped on his socks and threw on his red t shirt before grabbing his and old clothes and exiting the bathroom.

He tossed the dirty apparel in the laundry room on his way back to his room.

And when he finally got there the boy simply slipped on his shoes and sent Iida and Tsuyu a text before closing the door and heading out.

'Time to go, I'm sure I'll see her by the front gate.'

As he quickly ran through campus it didn't take long for him to find Ochaco by the gate where the members of Class A usually met up when going to hang out.

"Hey Izuku, Ready to go?" She asked as he approached her.

The boy looked at the girl in silence and awe.

Ochaco seemed to have opted for wearing a dress and black leather jacket similar to Jirou's unusual fasion choice.

The dress was long and draped down past her knees and had pink and white stripes along the bottom half and many pink star and crescent moon symbols along the top area around her hips and chest area.

"What's wrong? Do I... look stupid?" The girl fearfully asked.

Midoriya was immediately brought back to reality by the absurd question and panicked a little.

"No! No! No! You look great... I was just... taken aback by how gorgeous you look in that dress."

Ochaco turned red and covered her mouth as she heard what he'd just said.

Realization hit the boy as his panic breifly died down allowing for clear thought only momentarily before said panic not only returned... but intensified.

"Im sorry! I swear I didn't mean to make this weird!" He shamefully blurted out while promptly looking away and blushing just as his friend before him was.

A few moments later he was surprised as the brunette grabbed his hand and he calmed down a bit before hesitantly looking at her.

"Its ok... let's... just go, shall we?"

The boy meekly nodded and followed along as they left the campus behind.

Later on Midoriya and Ochaco had made their way to the pier. The two stared on in stunned amazement at the breathtaking sight before them.

"It's... amazing." Ochaco said in awe.

The sun had long since set but even so there were countless people enjoying their time at the eternally lively attraction.

The stars twinkled in the moonlight above them while the waves of the nearby sea offered a calming background sound.

The two passed through the front archway which held a neon sign atop it that simply said Hakata Pier.

Many stalls lined the sides of the boardwalk each of them either offering some sort of game to play or delicacy to consume.

And near the back they could make out perhaps the most popular part of the pier that had always drawn in so many at all hours of the day.

"A Ferris wheel! Oh Izuku! We have to go! We just have to!" Ochaco shouted in gleeful childlike excitement.

Midoriya nervously chuckled while backing away from the brunette and looking towards one of the stalls.

"We really should eat first, I did agree to skip dinner for this afterall."

Sure enough the boys stomach grumbled at the mention of food causing the boy to blush in embarrassment.

"Oh... right... Let's do that first and then we can go find something else to do."

The boy smiled while nodding in agreement. Fueled by a desire to sate his hunger he ran for the nearby sushi stand.

"Wait up! I'm feeling a bit peckish myself!" Ochaco yelled while chasing after the boy.

The two of them made it over to the stand and the server looked towards them.

"Good evening, what can I do for you today?" He said in a cold and lifeless yet consistently firm tone.

Midoriya looked down at the multitude of different types of food that lined the deli.

"I'll take some of the shrimp please." He politely requested.

"And I would like a bowl of ramen as well." Ochaco added.

The server nodded in understanding and gestured behind them.

"Please have a seat and make yourselves comfortable. Your meals will be ready shortly."

Midoriya and Ochaco went over and sat down at a table in front of the stall and waited for their much deserved dinner as advised.

"So... umm... not that I mind or anything...but... why did you want to hang out tonight... it seems very unlike you to suggest it without inviting the rest of our class along."

Ochaco's eyes widened in surprise at the question and she grew a bit uncomfortable as she fidgeted in her seat.

"Well... y'know... I just... I... I... I was afraid we we're starting to drift apart." She quietly muttered with a blush across her face.

Disbelief coursed through Midoriya as he stared mouth agape in shock at what she just said.

"How could you think that?! We've been friends since the beginning... I know things have gotten a little hectic, but that's only natural given the goal we strive for... but you know I'll always cherish our relationship."

Ochaco was left speechless at the sudden outburst of her dear friend and crush.

Concern started to fester in Midoriya's heart as he saw the brunette starting to shudder and cry in front of him.

"Oh Izuku..."

The server looked at the girl with a confused look as he set their food down on the table shocking both of them from their exchange.

"Here's your meal... I'll leave folks alone now."

As the calm and apathetic man left the two stared at their warm and inviting meals while Ochaco wiped away her tears.

"I guess there was never really anything to worry about... I'm really happy you feel that way about me Izuku. Why don't we just continue this conversation later?"

Seemingly far calmer and even happier Ochaco pulled her ramen bowl over and grabbed a pair of chopsticks.

Midoriya smiled as he pulled his meal closer as well and nodded in agreement.

"Sure, let's dig in."

Sometime later and the had finished eating. Several bowls and plates littered the table.

"Man that was good." Ochaco said with joy.

The server soon came over to grab their dishes and pulled out the checkbook.

"I take it your finished?"

The two nodded in affirmation.

"It was quite delicious. Thankyou sir." Midoriya politely complimented.

The older man simply nodded stoicly before setting down the check and walking away with the dirty bowls and plates.

Ochaco visably cringed upon seeing the amount due.

"Looks like we went a little heavy on the eating part." She solemnly stated while handing the check to the boy.

Midoriya also felt a bit disturbed upon seeing it and reluctantly pulled out his wallet.

"Wanna split it half and half?"

The brunette eagerly nodded and grabbed her own wallet before they each pulled out eighty five dollars to cover the meal.

Midoriya pulled an extra ten out to tip the man and brought the check and payment over to the stall.

The server seemed to be resting against the wall with an exhausted look.

"Here's our payment sir, I would also like to tip you for your fine service tonight."

Wearily opening eyes the man slowly shifted towards Midoriya and he reached out to take the payment while disregarding the tip.

Midoriya was taken aback as he opened the register and put the money in before going back to minding his own business.

"Hey! I said I wanted to tip you for doing such a wonderful job!" The boy yelled in annoyance.

Though slow to respond the server eventually glared at the boy. His cold intimidating glare immediately struck fear into the deepest depths of his heart and quelled the hot blooded passion that flowed through his veins.

"You keep it. I don't deserve such generosity."

The boy could only gasp in horror at what he'd just heard.

"What? No... No, you do. You served us such delicious food and you were courteous and tactful when taking our orders... Please... just take my money." The boy said while pushing the money forward once more.

The now annoyed server raised a brow in confusion while staring into the boys eyes for a good long while.

As it became clear to him that the boy was deadly serious about this he let out a sigh of exasperation and got up to take the money.

"Your a strange one... but I suppose a good natured boy all the same... Thankyou." He said venomously with a fake smile and forced empathy while pocketing the tip.

Midoriya's nerves immediately settled upon eliciting the desired reaction from the man.

"No, thankyou sir. I sincerely hope your evening goes well."

The boy proceeded to turn and walk away while the server merely returned to his seat and resumed a resting position.

Ochaco noticed her friend coming back and went to meet him halfway with an excited gleam in her eye.

"Look over there! They have ring toss! We just have to play it!"

Before he even knew it Ochaco was dragging him along to the game stall where a smug looking operator was sitting nearby.

"Ahh Hello folks, care to play a round or two?" He asked with a charismatic and welcoming tone that heavily contradicted the demeanor of the last pier employee they'd interacted with.

Ochaco nodded enthusiasticly while pulling out her wallet.

"It'll be two dollars for every three tosses." The operator said while holding his palm out.

Without hesitation the brunette slammed the money into his hand and grabbed a ring.

"I'll only need one." She confidently declared.

Focusing all of her strength and precision into a coordinated throw she let the ring fly towards the rusty cut off rebar sticking up through the ground.

"Hmm? Well... I guess two is fine."

Once again she grabbed a ring and prepared herself for another toss.

Just as before Ochaco got into a throwing position with a confident smirk and let the ring fly once more.

"Ok? Uhh... Third times... the charm?"

With her confidence turning into confusion and frustration the girl gripped the third ring and tossed it just as she did before.

"Ahh... Sorry kiddo, no compensation prizes here... but your welcome to purchase as many chances as you desire. Heh heh heh." The operator said with a sleazy grin.

Now infuriated and determined to win Ochaco halfhazardly threw the money at the operator and prepared for another round.

"Hah... Hah... W-what... the fuck?"

Ochaco leaned down in exhaustion and rage as she watched her seventy second toss miss it's mark.

The operator leaned back against the stall while sipping on his fountain drink and casually and absentmindedly extended his hand to accept another two dollars from the girl.

Midoriya sat on the side with a look of boredom across him face.

"Your girlfriend's a sucker, dontcha know that these games are rigged?"

The boy was roused from his monotonous trance by a voice behind him.

He turned around to see a kid in a blue hoodie and black sweatpants with tan hair that had to be only a few years younger than him.

"What do you mean?" He asked in confusion.

The kid pointed towards the ring with a look of indifference.

"Look. The rings are weighted. Just heavy enough to always slightly fall short yet light enough so the thrower never notices."

Midoriya looked over in shock before rushing to his friend with a fearful concern.

He grabbed Ochaco's hand right before she was about to pull out another two bucks.

"We need to go Uraraka... before you waste anymore money."

The brunette furiously shook Midoriya off and looked over at him.

"No Deku I'm gonna win this." She said with her mind fully made up.

Equally undeterred however the boy pulled her close and whispered into her ear.

Ochaco's eyes widened as she looked at the operator and grew slightly offended.

"So that's how it is..."

With a suspicious glare she walked over to the shady man and pulled out another two dollars.

With a coy smile he eagerly accepted the money and allowed her another shot.

'What an idiot, most people would've given up ages ago... but who am I to complain about more free money?'

Midoriya face palmed himself while turning away from his overly determined friend.

Once more Ochaco got into a throwing position, though this one was more lax and allowed for more movement outside of the toss itself.

As she let out another toss the girl quickly composed herself and discretely put her hands behind her back so she could deactivate her quirk.

The operator's jaw would've dropped to the ground had it not been attached to his skull.

"Well... I won. So pay up loser."

With a look of seething fury the operator begrudgingly pulled down a giant fluffy stuffed wolf and gave it to the girl.

"Will that suffice?" He said while gritting through his teeth.

Ochaco nodded confidently while sticking her tongue out at the man and turning to leave.

"How... did you do that?" Midoriya asked in shock.

The brunette offered him cheeky grin as they walked away from the stand.

"Can you keep a secret?"

Midoriya eagerly nodded with curiosity.

"So can I."

The boy dejectedly slumped down in dissapointment upon hearing this.

As the operator watched the two brats walk away he looked over to see the kid in the blue hoodie coming his way.

"Alright dad, someone finally beat your lame ring toss set up... will you get a real job now like you promised?"

The older man sighed as he walked over to the back of the stand and cut the power.

"Pack it up Kusottare. Let's just go home now."

Much time passed and the two finally made it to the Ferris wheel.

"Finally. I think I was looking forward to this part the most." Ochaco said while looking up at the beautiful and towering contraption.

Midoriya went up and paid for two before the ferris wheel operator opened the door to the next available compartment.

As they waited for the rest of the passenger's Ochaco looked out to see the illuminated pier from the other side.

"Im really glad we came. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun."

Midoriya was surprised as the brunette turned to face him with a sweet and endearing smile.

"Me too." The boy quietly said in a happy trance.

Finally after some time the ferris wheel was packed and as such began it's next rotation.

The two were surprised as it initially jolted and the motion took a minute to get used to, but as they got to the top Ochaco and Midoriya were both completely and uttered mesmerized.

One could see the entire Pier from up there. Along with the clear and starry nightsky and the rustic charm of the wodden platform and the many colorful lights that gave it the lively atmosphere that it was so popular for.

But their awe quickly turned to bewilderment as they saw strange electrical currents traveling throughout the entire pier.

"What is that?" Ochaco asked herself in confusion.

Down and far from the two heroes a cold wind blew through the pier causing the old boards to groan and creak.

Clad in a white tank top, light orange hoodie that was only half zipped up, and baggy beige sweat pants Pony looked down from her binoculars in shame.

As she recalled the joy filled smiles of Midoriya and Ochaco while they happily played together throughout the night, that shame morphed into a bitter scowl.

The horn user slowly turned around and proceeded to leave the pier while casually throwing the binoculars into the sea.

And there's the next chapter, hope it was alright.
