"Fat! Watch out!"
Tetsutetsu jumped in front of the pro right as Dabi was about to fire an even more powerful blast at them.
After letting up Tetsutetsu started panting in exhaustion as his steel heated up and started smoking a little.
"Hmm it's been a while since I've seen someone who could withstand my flames like that. Perhaps you heroes aren't all talk."
The steel hero looked to the side in instinctive alert and powered through his fatigue to grab Shigaraki midair as he was about to leap at Fat Gum and throw him back.
"Good work Real Steel! I would have been a goner just now if not for you!"
The three heroes looked around and took their opposition into consideration as Fat Gum struggled to think of something.
'Long distance attacker to the far left. Two heavy hitters on the near right. And a support caster/tank in the back. Our quirks are hard countered by theirs... buuttt...'
An idea popped into Fat Gum's head and he pulled the other two closer while eying the opposition cautiously.
"Alright boys I have a plan, but I'll need both your help to make it work."
Kirishima and Tetsutetsu nodded in understanding as he whispered to them much to Dabi's amusement.
"Is now really the time to be telling them you read their diaries? Your gonna die, might as well make this entertaining!" The flame user said in amusement while preparing to roast the trio with an even stronger attack.
The three heroes jumped out of the way as Kirishima charged right towards the Compress and Shigaraki clones.
"Hey Patchwork! Those are some seriously puny flames you got there! My buddy Shoto can incinerate stuff better in his sleep!"
Dabi stood with his mouth agape in surprise for a moment before his eyes lit up in annoyance and he let out a spiteful chuckle.
"My flames are the hottest! You'll see soon enough you cocky little shit!"
Kirishima jumped over Compress and weaved around Shigaraki as he came closer to a wall where he saw another blast of fire approaching.
The boy smirked while flipping himself off the wall and over the flame before circling back towards the other clones.
"See? Pathetic!"
Dabi grit his teeth as he increased the temperature tremendously.
"If it's so beneath you then why'd ya dodge it?!"
Tengai watched in concern as he foresaw a rather vexing outcome birthed from the flame user's recklessness.
"That ain't good."
He focused in to create another barrier.
"Oh no you don't!"
The barrier user looked over in shock as Fat Gum and Tetsutetsu charged at him in a combined assault forcing him to switch his priorities.
"Dammit!"
Shigaraki grimaced as he prepared to decay the infuriating young hero only to have him weave around his arm and push him into Dabi's flame.
As he did so Kirishima noticed Compress coming in with an overhead attack which he barely avoided.
Fat Gum and Tetsutetsu mercilessly pounded at the barriers of their foe while forcing him back with every broken layer.
'If he's distracted then I should be able to attack without worrying about the shields, plus this guy only has one arm left. Should make this a lot easier.'
While still remaining cautious of Compress's quirk, Kirishima charged in and attacked only for the villain to jump back as Dabi fired off another blast hitting Kirishima head on.
The red haired boy screamed in pain while falling to his knees as the burns took their toll on him.
"Damn. Must be getting sloppy, that should've hurt a lot worse."
Dabi sighed in disappointment before turning to his fellow villain with an expectant look.
"He's down, might make for a good hostage if things get hairy somewhere along the road... which they kind of are it seems." He said while noticing the heroes on the verge of overwhelming Tengai.
"Ahh, what a marvelous idea!"
Kirishima seethed in pain as the burns drove him mad with frustration, he shakily looked up to see his masked foe walking towards him.
"Don't fret now, you put up a good fight lad."
Compress slowly reached down as his hand loomed over the boy causing him to shudder in fear knowing the full extent of his quirk.
In that moment he thought of his friends and all that they had been through. Thought of their mission and all they sought to accomplish.
As Compress was about to finish the job he was shocked to see the young hero grab his one good arm, effectively intercepting his finishing move.
"Nnhh... C-cant... back down... N-not when... there's so much left... to do..."
Dabi stared in concern as Compress had no way to escape from Kirishima's grip.
"Not good. Gotta roast the kid now, even if it means taking Compress off the board too."
The hero and villain both looked to the side where they saw Dabi firing another blast at them.
With a look of frustration Kirishima pulled Compress in front of him while forcefully grabbing the back of his neck to keep him from squirming.
"AAAAAUUUUUUHHHHHH! DABI! WHHYYY?!"
Kirishima's face twisted in guilt and horror as he watched the villain burn up right before his very eyes.
When all was said and done Dabi released his flame as his arm started smoking and not even the goo from Twice's quirk remained.
The red haired boy was panting and sweating in exhaustion as his arm was covered in first and second degree burns from being so close to the attack.
Even so, he looked at Dabi with resentment and disgust while charging towards him.
"How could you?! He was your teammate!"
Dabi gasped in shock as he wondered how the boy could even move, in a panicked state he quickly aimed both of his arms to deliver another fire blast.
"Red Riot! Unbreakable!"
Fueled by his anger Kirishima hardened his skin as much as he could to maximize his endurance while pushing directly into the blazing blue flames.
The boy screamed in rage while pushing forward as his flesh sizzled and charred with every passing millisecond.
When he finally closed the distance Kirishima pulled Dabi's arms apart and sharpened his fingertips before plunging them deep into the villain's stomach.
Dabi coughed and ceased while looking up at Kirishima in anger and shock as even in spite of his burns he failed to impart anything that might leave a debilitating scar. A fact that greatly wounded his pride.
Kirishima looked down with stoicism as the clone melted into oblivion while his vision waned and his body ached.
"V-victory... is... mi-"
Fat Gum looked over and saw the boy collapse to the ground.
"Red!"
The BMI hero rushed over to his sidekick while fearing the worst as he held him up.
"Hang in there Red! We'll get you medical treatment as soon as we can!"
Kirishima shakily opened his eyes and smiled upon seeing the large hero relatively unscathed.
"Fat... did I... do it?"
Tetsutetsu came over while dragging a severely bruised and unconscious Tengai by the hair and callously dropping his body on the ground to check on his friend.
"Listen to me Real Steel. We need to get him back outside to the paramedics. We can drop that scumbag off along the way as well."
The grey haired boy nodded in understanding and picked the villain up before hoisting him over his shoulder as Fat Gum grabbed Kirishima and rushed him out of the room.
From afar Irinaka stared in rage while shaking and seething.
"The league betrayed us? Abandoned their post?"
The hassakai thug rushed through the walls to quickly check on the other posts in order to confirm his suspicion.
He eventually came across a charred corpse likely the courtesy of a certain fire user and growled in rage as he started to move through the walls to another spot.
"YOU NO GOOD TWO TIMING PIECE OF SHIT!"
"Tomura look out!"
Shigaraki looked on in surprise as Toga suddenly pushed him out of the way before being pushed into a hole by a force of unnaturally moving concrete.
"You'll serve your purpose whether you like it or not Shigaraki!"
Irinaka turned his attention towards the decay user and conjured a hole beneath his feet causing him to fall to a lower level.
'So much for planning and loyalty, I'm gonna have to reposition the heroes and the league to where they'll be forced to fight each other now.'
Elsewhere Shigaraki calmly looked around and took stock of his surroundings before turning on his earpiece.
"Heads up guys, apparently one of those bastards has a quirk that allows him to manipulate the interior of the base. If I were him I'd be doing everything I can to force an encounter with the heroes right about now."
Compress continued running through the base using one of the side paths and picked up the link to respond, much to his dismay the walls and floor started shaking.
"And what if we are taken off course?"
"Remember, we always knew this might happen. Overhaul seems to have a penchant for recruiting people with annoying quirks, just use one of the side routes and make your way topside."
With nothing left to say Shigaraki turned off his communicator and looked around to see what course of action he could take next.
'I fell through a hole from the ceiling and the only exit to this room seems to lead back further into the hideout.'
The decay user turned towards the wall farthest from him and approached it.
'That's no good. I have no intention of indulging in any more of the yakuza's stupid games.'
With a smug grin Shigaraki touched the wall and started to decay a path back towards his intended destination.
Back outside the Ryuku agency seemed to have contained the giant villain that had greeted them by the door.
"Suspect restrained."
The cops locked the villain up in one of their iron body binds.
"He went down fast for such a big guy."
"Rikiya Katsukame. Enhances his size by breathing in the life force of the person he's touching. Isolate him now before he regains consciousness."
Nejire looked over and made note of all the ruckus within the compound walls.
"Things are sounding pretty lively in there, we better get moving."
"We're heading in later than I hoped, but let's catch up to Nighteye."
Right as the group was about to progress, Tsuyu and Ochaco fell to the ground in exhaustion and fatigue.
'He's stealing their vitality, but how?'
Everyone around besides Ryuku seemed to grow fatigued as Rikiya started to suck in their life force.
"The quirk booster Irinaka gave me is finally kicking in. About damn time."
While growing in size Rikiya broke out of his shackles and turned to face the dragoon hero with bloodthirsty exhilaration.
"That's more like it!"
Ryuku barely managed to catch his fist as she was forced back by the sheer power of his enhanced abilities.
'So that's it! His quirk's been enhanced!'
Nejire turned to help while readying herself to take to the skies.
"Looks like things aren't quite wrapped up here yet Rocketti. Let's he-"
The blue haired girl paused in confusion as Pony who was just beside her moments ago seemed to have mysteriously vanished.
She looked behind her where she spotted the horn user rushing into the compound.
'I know this a time sensitive mission, but is that really the best course of action? Our teammates are in trouble.'
Nejire flew up into the air and proceeded to charge up a blast and fire it, unfortunately it barely did a thing.
'Still, she probably just sees it as a necessity to regroup with Nighteye and offer additional support... either way I have to focus on the threat in front of me.'
Despite their fatigue, Ochaco and Tsuyu got up and prepared themselves to help assist Ryuku in attaining victory over the giant villain.
Back in the compound Irinaka watched as the heroes made their way through the compound at a concerningly effective pace.
'The boy who went ahead, alone he's not a threat. This is their main force, the ones I need to stop. And of course, those filthy traitors from the league. My boost will ware off soon. No choice but to do it now.'
Once again the building started shaking as the heroes were forced to a halt from the lack of balance, it seemed apparent now that the one responsible was aiming to crush them.
"Rock Lock do something!" Nighteye shouted.
"Stop giving orders! This is all your fault, listening to you got us in this mess."
With a feeling of frustration Rock Lock touched the wall.
"Fine this oughta do it! Deadbolt!"
As he rotated his hand a red wave briefly surged through the room and the walls stopped afterwards.
"Once I lock something down, it ain't going anywhere."
He then touched the other wall and repeated the process effectively permitting free movement once again.
"Come on, let's go! This stretch won't shift around anymore. It's narrow but deal with it, my security max deadbolt is strong but it can only hold so many spots. I'm already hitting my limits."
Irinaka growled in anger and frustration and moved his attention towards the areas unaffected by Rock Lock's quirk.
"Watch the spots I didn't lock down! He's coming at us!"
Midoriya charged forward and intercepted Irinaka's forward attack with a mighty kick.
"Shame we lost Fat's team, this would be a lot easier with them here. Don't you think?" Rock Lock asked while looking around to see if anymore attacks were coming.
"Obviously!"
Aizawa looked around and tried to find the one responsible for impeding their forces.
"He's pinpointing our location, but where is he watching from? Inside the wall?"
"We're not making any progress here, he just keeps cornering us." Rock Lock said.
"Smash!"
Another attack came barreling in only to be intercepted by Midoriya yet again.
The constant attacks were taking a toll on Midoriya's endurance as he started heaving in exhaustion while resting his hands against his knees.
'I'm not getting anywhere.'
He thought back to all the fellow heroes who'd sacrificed their safety in order to help stop Overhaul and save Eri.
'Ryuku and her team. The police officers. The other heroes who came to help. Kirishima. Fat Gum. Tetsutetsu. Pony... They helped up get this far. No way I'll let it end like this.'
Midoriya lunged forward yet again and destroyed Irinaka's next attack.
Much to everyone's shock the wall actually opened up again allowing for the path ahead to be traversed.
"What do you think there planning this time?" Rock Lock asked in suspicion.
Aizawa suddenly grabbed Midoriya and pulled him away only moments before a wall could crush him.
Several more walls came down and segregated the heroes forces.
"Thanks for the save." Midoriya said while getting back up to his feet.
"Don't worry about it. Why would they bother separating us now though?"
On the other side of the wall Rock Lock looked around in frustration and concern before turning to shout through one of the walls.
"You guys ok on that side?!"
"We're good Rock Lock." One of the cops shouted back.
Nighteye retained his calm demeanor but couldn't help but feel uneased by the sudden transition in tactics.
"Stay alert! Prepare for anything!" The former sidekick shouted.
"Yeah yeah, we heard you." Rock Lock muttered to himself while closing his eyes in a contemplative manner.
From afar Irinaka stared at the heroes in frustration and anger.
'It's only a matter of time before the drug wears off. I'll have to utilize those filthy no good traitors now.'
The form manipulating villain concentrated on his other paths and opened up several more tunnels around the heroes location.
Toga groaned in pain as she landed on her face and groggily pushed herself off the ground where she made note of her present location.
She was in a dark corridor and couldn't seem to make any progress as it was blocked by a wall, so instead she peaked behind the wall where she noticed a lone hero.
'Dammit! We weren't supposed to run into the heroes... it's that insecure bastard's fault.'
Seeing no other option Toga readied her knife and snuck up behind the hero with the intention of killing.
"Who the?"
Rock Lock only barely managed to stop Toga's knife by blocking it with his hand.
"Lock down."
Toga was caught off guard as he disabled her blade with his quirk and prepared to strike her.
"Your with the league aren't you?"
Evading his attack not a moment too soon Toga let go of her knife and pulled out another one before plunging it into his side.
"Shhh, afraid not. Today I'm a trusted member of the old school yakuza. A nasty little gangster girl, one who's out for blood."
Aizawa and Midoriya looked over in concern as they heard some sort of conflict seemingly ensuing where they last heard from Rock Lock.
"Rock, what's wrong?"
"Step back. I got this wall."
Midoriya prepared his fist and destroyed the wall allowing them to rejoin with the lock hero.
"Rock Lock?"
The two heroes were met with the disturbing sight of two Rock Locks. One almost dead on the floor and one kneeling in panic.
"Hey. This imposter clone just appeared out of nowhere and attacked me. Be carefu, I bet there are more enemies nearby."
Aizawa looked around in suspicion before his eyes narrowed upon getting a closer look at the wounded Rock Lock.
'He was stabbed?'
"Midoriya, are you ok?"
"Yeah we should keep moving."
'A knife wound and an imposter?'
Midoriya shuddered in fear as Rock Lock pulled out a knife and adopted an uncharacteristically malicious smile.
"We were wrong."
Aizawa used his quirk and erased the disguise effectively revealing Toga's true form.
"Himiko Toga?!"
"That's me! Your darling in the flesh! You remembered me!"
The unhinged blonde started attacking Midoriya with an ecstatic smile as he narrowly avoided each attack.
"You have no idea how happy I am to see you again. Come here, let's get closer Izuku!"
Just before she could continue her assault, Aizawa bound her in his scarf and forced her away from the boy.
'This is bad, but maybe we can stop her here.'
Toga turned around with a look of cold fury and grabbed Aizawa's scarf using it to flip over onto his back and stab him in the shoulder.
"Eraser!"
The black haired man pulled out a knife of his own but Toga escaped from his binds and jumped past him before flipping through the wall that they destroyed.
'A coordinated attack. The league and the yakuza are working together, that's why they separated us. It was the leagues turn to step in.'
Midoriya ran up to Aizawa as he put away his blade.
"Are you ok?"
"I'm fine. Focus on helping Rock Lock and get the other knife. I've heard that Toga's quirk uses blood somehow."
"Yes sir."
Doing as his teacher commanded, Midoriya ran over to help the lock hero while Aizawa held onto his shoulder.
'I never imagined they'd combine forces when their first meeting ended in bloodshed. Plus, Shigaraki doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd want to submit to anyone.'
On the other side of the wall Nighteye and the police force were looking for an escape route when an unwelcome party emerged.
"Woah! Compress? What are you doing here? I totally expected your arrival."
The masked villain looked at Twice and Spinner in brief confusion before turning his attention towards the heroes.
"That Irinaka fellow seems to have transported me here. No matter, our objective remains the same. Twice. Spinner. Buy me some time!"
The two villains stepped forward as Twice created a clone of Dabi to once again offer long distance support.
Compress immediately turned around and started creating holes in the wall using his quirk to burrow through.
Nighteye was quick to throw his heavy seals at Dabi almost immediately taking him out of the fight as Spinner went on the offensive with a small yet versatile machete.
'They aren't focused on holding the line. In fact, it almost seems like the league are trying to escape. Does this mean that they really aren't united with the yakuza?' The former sidekick pondered while dodging Spinner's attacks.
In one powerful movement Nighteye brutally chopped the reptile on the neck effectively knocking him unconscious.
"Spinner!"
Just before Nighteye could follow through with the arrest, he jumped out of the way as a marble came flying at him.
The hero looked to the side and noticed that the officers were pinned down by another clone Dabi's flames.
"Dammit! How could I have been so careless!"
He threw another stamp at the flame user only to have the man effortlessly incinerate it with his quirk.
"You really think that co-"
The clone was interrupted mid sentence as one of the cops managed to squeeze into the villains blind side and shoot the clone, effectively dispersing it into goo.
"Windows open! Twice grab Spinner and let's get out of here!"
"I'm on it! Let him rot down here!"
The villain quickly grabbed Spinner and threw him over his shoulder before following Compress out of the escape route.
Nighteye tried to pursue only to have Compress throw out a multitude of marbles which all released the dirt and rubble that he had gotten rid of in order to craft their route.
"They escaped, but let's hope that if they aren't loyal to the Hassaikai that maybe they'll stay out of our way going forward."
Irinaka stared in exhaustion and rage as the league proved to be mostly be useless in this fight and moreover had the audacity to defy the yakuza.
"DAMMIT! WORTHLESS THUGS!"
The whole building started to shake yet again as the villain started to forego any logic, with one final adrenaline rush he started to scream.
"Woah! That was unforeseen!"
As every part of their tunnel started to close in Compress was quick to panic while rapidly balling up every unstable part that threatened to harm them.
"Looks like that yakuza thug still has one last push in him. Twice, give me a copy to help out! We'll have no choice but hold out here until the heroes can deal with that guy!"
Twice held the unconscious Spinner close and manifested another Compress clone to help stave off their impending death.
"I WILL NOT FORGIVE ANYONE WHO DISGRACES THE WAY OF THE YAKUZA!"
The heroes stumbled around as pillars of rocks passed through the walls like a cobra waiting to strike its prey, but how could one so furious masquerade as methodical and calculating at this point?
"That yell. You heard it right?" Aizawa asked while holding an unconscious Rock Lock.
'The voice must belong to Irinaka, as soon as I heard it everything started to move. Where is he?'
Another yell could be heard as the walls grew even more rapid in their movements.
Midoriya kept looking around to try and pinpoint the location of the villain, eventually his eyes fell upon a hole. Perfect for hiding as he looked down upon everyone.
'One For All, Full Cowling. Smash!'
With another mighty kick, Midoriya smashed the area where Irinaka was hiding and Aizawa wasted no time disabling his quirk. All the walls and pillars stopped moving in an instant.
'What? My quirk?'
Irinaka fell to the ground in shock, rage, and confusion while taking one of Nighteye's seals to the neck effectively knocking him out.
"Catch him!"
Aizawa wrapped his cloth around the villain and safely brought him to the ground where he released him to be cuffed by the police.
Midoriya looked towards the direction Mirio moved towards in wonder and concern for how things might play out.
'Eri. Togata.'
Farther into the hideout Mirio finally caught up to the crime boss, his face riddled with sweat and his eyes alight with righteous anger.
"Excuse me gentlemen, but we need to talk. You've got some explaining to do, why don't we have a chat about Eri?"
Overhaul and Kurono turned to face the boy.
"You shouldn't have been able to get here so fast."
Mirio balled his fists up in frustration as he prepared for a vile altercation with someone he knew had an all too dangerous quirk.
"Give me the girl. I'm here to rescue her."
