Christopher Dragkrow: Hey there guys! Welcome to the fourth chapter, of "The Dragon Phantom Sixth Man"!
Kuroko Tetsuya: Hello everyone *bows*
Christopher Dragkrow: Woah! Damn it, I'm still not used to that!
Kuroko Tetsuya: I was always here. It's just that you didn't notice me.
Christopher Dragkrow: Alright we'll discuss about this later but for now enjoy reading people!

Time to answer some questions:
1) Flux Casey
Answer: The "previously" section is just a reminder what happened before and I don't want to show what happens next until the next chapter, also the recommendations have rarely been asked to leave so if more people asked for it to leave then it will. Besides my favourite list is just stories that I like, but the recommendations are stories that I really love and want people to read it.
2) Groszekace
Answer: Yeah it is sorry about that, why I write things from the previous chapters, you ask? It is because it is just a reminder of what happened in the last chapter, in fact, I'll start writing longer if people are annoyed at how short it is. Alright?
Note: Everyone in this chapter and in this entire series will be OOC. So don't shout at me alright?
Chapter 4: First, Second and Third String Part 1!
In the last chapter of "The Dragon Phantom Sixth Man":
Normal POV
Back in the gym, the students all had time to talk to each other and majority of them made it their goal in order to reach the second string at the very least. Yet, there were a small group of students, five of them to be exact, who all were determined to make it to the first string. Whether or not it was nearly impossible or not, their goal would not change, no matter what!
Normal POV
"First of all, we need to test your abilities with the basics such as dribbling, passing and shooting, and when I say shooting I mean shooting Layups." the bespectacled man explained.
Everyone nodded their heads in understanding.
"Alright we will split all of you to ten different groups with ten people in one group, understood?" the bespectacled man asked.
"Understood!"
Kuroko was then paired with a few males and a red headed female he could have sworn he saw before.
'Oh wait, wasn't she in my class?' Kuroko thought to himself, trying to recall seeing the girl in his class, but he couldn't since he snoozed off for most of the school.
The loud sound of the whistle blowing then brought Kuroko back to reality.
"First off we'll start with some light jogs to get you going. Now, do ten laps around the gym now." the bespectacled man said before he blew his whistle again.
Everyone immediately took off to start their laps, all except Kuroko, who was still in a daze.
Fortunately, before the teacher began shouting at him, he was then shook by the same red haired female.
"Come on, we have to start running. Wouldn't want the coach to scold us on the first day, right?" the red haired female joked as Kuroko realized what she meant and the two started running.
"Yeah, thanks for that." Kuroko said, silently wondering to himself how the girl managed to detect his presence, since no one in this school, or any other school, had managed to do so.
"No problem." she smiled back before turning forward to focus on her run.
Kuroko decided to do the same and began concentrating on his run, his mind didn't even process about the fact that there was a female trying to join the team in a MALE Basketball Club.
The two managed to finish their laps just about the same time as everyone as the bespectacled teacher had them all gather at the centre of the gym.
"So you all managed to complete it, that's good. Now Mr. Daigo Matsuoka will now explain the rest of the course to all of you, so make sure to listen closely." the bespectacled man said as he motioned for the male behind him to start, Daigo then stood beside the brunette and cleared his throat.
"Alright, now as you all know, you will be doing some tests that Mr. Naoto has assigned for all of you to do, but he has excluded the part that you all will be doing your tests with the Second Years of the Basketball Club." the man with short black hair that was now revealed to be Daigo Matsuoka.
This shocked everyone, as they began to wonder to themselves if they were able to overcome this and still reach the Second string.
"I can only hope that you weren't scared when I told you this, because this clearly tells us about how you would fare in an actual match." Daigo said in a serious tone.
Of course everyone, sans five students, immediately looked nervous before trying to appear more determined so that they wouldn't get caught under the teachers' watchful eyes.
"If any of you think that this will be too tough, then by all means, leave now because clearly you are not the level that Teiko requires." Mr. Naoto said coldly.
"This junior high is a prestigious school that cares about one thing and one thing only!" Naoto then slammed his hand to his chest.
"And that's VICTORY! We have always been victorious and if we start losing now, then we wouldn't be prestigious school for our basketball! We do not need students that will drag us down that leads us to our defeat! So if any you think that this test is too hard then leave now!" Naoto said strictly.
Despite the seriousness which came from his tone, only a few students left the gym, barely leaving a dent in the number of students that were still present.
"So, do you all think that you're capable of making this club a winning team?"
"Yes!"
"Then let's get started with the test!" Naoto said as he blew the whistle that was around his neck as he had everyone do more warmups.
Daigo looked at the group of students with a small smile on his face.
'At least there were more first year students that remained in the gym compared to last year.' He thought to himself as he began writing details down into his notepad.
Naoto then brought everyone outside, telling them that they would head over to the 3rd gym, which was where the current first string members were all training at.
Kuroko, among many others, was shocked when he had heard this and began wondering to himself,
Just how many gym does this school even own in the first place?
Mr. Naoto then guided them through to the "3rd Gym", though there wasn't much difference between this one and the one they were in before.
The brunette then motioned for them to enter, to which they did as he asked.
"Alright, all of you, these are the current members of First String." Naoto said as Kuroko looked on to see three males, all of average height, doing some Layups in quick succession.
The first was a male short black hair with his bangs parted to the left, he had a very determined expression as he trained and out of three of them, he had the biggest build.
The second was a male with long black hair which covered both his eyes and ears, he also had a noticeably large nose. It was hard to see how he was feeling as he successfully scored a Layup.
The third was a male with short, spiky blond hair and blue eyes and wore an excited grin on his face as he ran through the court.
"Alright all of you get over here!" Naoto shouted, getting the three's attention as they stopped their training and turned towards the group of students behind the teacher.
They quickly stood in place as Naoto walked towards them.
"Introduce yourselves."
"Hey there, my name is Nijimura Shuzo and I'm the current captain of the basketball club, it's nice to meet you all!" the male with short black hair introduced with a smile.
"My name is Kubota Masaya, it's nice to meet you." The male with long black hair introduced quietly with a bow.
"Yo, my name is Sekiguchi Toru!" the blonde greeted them with a wild smile on his face.
"As I mentioned before, they will be assisting me in your tests today." Naoto said as Nijimura then walked forward and stood beside the bespectacled male. Nijimura could see the tenseness of the group so he gave them all a reassuring smile.
"Don't worry so much about this, the fact that you all are still here means that you have passed the first test." Nijimura said as everyone was confused by what he said.
"You see, Mr. Naoto had also told us the exact same speech used to you, and the fact that you all stayed here means you have determination, so congratulations and give yourselves a hand!" Nijimura said as everyone began clapping loudly.
"However…." Nijimura started after everyone had stopped clapping.
"Just because you all have determination doesn't mean you can all join the first string." Nijimura said as both Kubota and Sekiguchi walked in front to where the black haired male stood.
"All three of us had to do the same kind of test that you all are going to do today, so if you think you got what it takes to reach the top, then prove it to us right here, right now." Nijimura said as everyone shouted in determination.
All three of them smiled at this, hearing the determination in their yell.
"Alright then, now the first test you'll have to go through is dribbling. The goal of this test is to try and dribble past all three of us and once you do, you passed the test, do you understand?" Nijimura asked.
"Understood!" everyone responded.
"Geez don't need to be so serious about it." Nijimura mumbled to himself before clearing his throat.
"Alright let the test begin!" Nijimura shouted.
"Yes!" Everyone shouted as well.
Later
Since there were too many students, they decided to organise each students into separate groups and go through them one group at a time.
Kuroko was placed into the group that was to take each test last, something he was both happy and upset for. Happy because that meant he had time to rest, and upset because he wanted to prove himself as soon as possible.
And after watching the test go on for about twenty minutes now, he would say that it was quite rough, since none of the students had managed to pass Kubota much less passing Sekiguchi, and in a blink of an eye, five whole groups had failed to pass all three second year players.
Kuroko kept looking on in order to observe the movement of the first string players, so that he would be able to do fine as he waited for his group's turn.
"Well this is quite a shocker isn't it?" a voice said behind Kuroko who then turned around to meet with a pair of red eyes.
Kuroko stumbled back a bit due to shock as the female then giggled lightly at his reaction.
"Sorry about that, it's just that you were so focused so I thought to bring you back to reality for a bit." the female said as she smiled to which Kuroko gave her a ghost smile in return.
"My name is Akashi Seira, it's nice to meet you." The red haired female now revealed as Akashi smiled at Kuroko.
"My name is-" He was then stopped by Akashi who held her hand in front of her.
"I know who you are, Kuroko Tetsuya." Akashi said as Kuroko was shocked.
"How-" Kuroko was then once again stopped by Akashi.
"How do I know your name?" Akashi asked as she smiled at Kuroko's dumbfounded look that was plastered on his face.
Kuroko could just nod his head as he wondered if Akashi was a mind reader.
"Don't worry I'm not a mind reader, I just know what you're about to say by the looks on your face." Akashi said as Kuroko could just nod his head, though that didn't mean he changed the thought that she was in fact a mind reader considering how well she read him. And that was very minimal.
"Anyways, I know your name because we're both in the same class, Class 1-1." Akashi said as Kuroko could only face palm himself.
No wonder she looked so familiar, she was in the same class as him.
"Oh I see." Kuroko couldn't help but rub the back of his head.
"Anyways, back to the topic earlier, isn't it quite shocking that so far no one has been able to pass the first string players?" Akashi asked.
Kuroko then looked back and saw yet another student fail to get pass Kubota, who immediately sighed after stealing the ball from the student and lazily passed the ball to the next contestant.
Based on his observations, Kuroko noticed that their senior wasn't even doing his best when he managed to steal the ball away from the students, yet somehow he still managed to.
Kuroko then looked back at Akashi and shrugged his shoulders,
"Well, I guess that the first string players are just that good, which is why they are where they are." Kuroko said as the redhead smiled at his response.
"Well, at least we'll see her doing well." Akashi commented as Kuroko looked to see a female with navy blue hair and tanned skin, she also had a massive smirk on her face.
The moment she bounced the ball, the girl immediately drove past Kubota with her speed before dribbling the ball skilfully past Sekiguchi and was now facing Nijimura.
"Hey, you're really good." Nijimura complimented as the female smiled.
"Thanks." the female said and as she then immediately drove past Nijimura in a fast speed before the captain could even react.
Nijimura was shocked at how he was beaten easily while everyone could only look at the female in awe due to her performance. Not a single male was capable of passing all three senior members, but one girl did?
Kuroko looked at the tanned female with his usual emotionless face but deep inside he was very shocked at how good the female was.
"Hmm, now that's interesting, she is very fast and she can control the ball with her speed." Akashi commented with an interested tone.
Just then another female stepped up, this time she had green hair. The girl then held the ball in her hand before dribbling pass Kubota easily, doing the same to Sekiguchi with ease as well, but when she got to Nijimura, she had trouble trying to pass him but she managed to trick the captain by moving to the left before she dribbled to the right.
However Nijimura managed to slap the ball away from the female's hand, causing her to be shocked at his recovery as the ball bounced away.
"Too bad. But that was a good try nonetheless." Nijimura praised as the green haired female then bowed down at the captain before walking away.
Kuroko could hear the redhead beside him giggling to which caused him to turn towards her.
"What is it?" Kuroko asked, curiosity laced in his tone.
"Isn't it hilarious that so far, all the males have failed to pass any of the three seniors of them and yet the females can?" Akashi joked as Kuroko just looked at her with a blank look.
"But don't worry maybe there will be a male that can pass all three of them or maybe two of them." Akashi said as she continued looking and saw a rather tall female with purple hair that reached her back with a lazy look on her face.
'Woah she's huge!' were the thoughts on everybody's mind all except a few of them.
The female then dribbled the ball slowly and yet despite that, she managed to pass Kubota and Sekiguchi.
'Jeez are Kubota and Sekiguchi taking it easy on the females?' Nijimura thought to himself as he had to look up at the purple haired female.
'Or are they just really that good?' Nijimura thought as the very tall female managed to pass Nijimura while he was thinking.
"Well that was easy." the female commented as she then walked away as Nijimura was broken out of his train of thought and noticed that the female had passed him.
"Nijimura…." Kubota said in a deadpan tone as Nijimura just rubbed the back of his head sheepishly at his mistake.
"Sorry, sorry. I was too busy thinking." Nijimura said as Kubota sighed.
"Start paying attention, we're deciding which student goes to what string, alright?" Kubota asked as Nijimura smirked when he heard that.
"You don't need to tell me twice." Nijimura said but he was then hit on the head by Kubota.
"Then start paying attention." Kubota said before he walked away and got back to his position.
"Alright, alright jeez." Nijimura mumbled to himself, as he rubbed the spot where Kubota had hit him as he called for the next group to prepare.
"Alright, looks like it's our group's turn." Akashi said as Kuroko breathe in some air as a determined look appeared on his face.
It's time to show his dribbling skills.
Akashi went up first for his group and it was easy to say, she was the best among every student Kuroko had seen so far.
She dribbles past Kubota with not much difficulty before moving towards Sekiguchi who was aiming for the ball as Akashi feints to the left before passing the spiky blonde head by moving to the right.
Akashi was then facing Nijimura who looked determined to stop the red haired female.
Akashi quickly moves to the left as Nijimura had started using "The Crabwalk" on Akashi, making her move to the left, but Akashi then feints before moving to the right, passing the black haired male captain easily.
Kuroko could only stare in awe and admiration.
The way the red haired female had moved is as she was in a dance and she had gracefully succeeded in every move that she had made.
Akashi then walked towards Kuroko and she looked at the awestruck look on his face.
Akashi then snapped her fingers at the light blue haired male who then snapped back into reality.
"Wha-what?" Kuroko then looked around and saw Akashi in front of him.
"Well how did I do?" Akashi asked curiously.
"You did really well, it was as if watching an extremely beautiful dance." Kuroko said honestly with a smile on his face as Akashi couldn't help but blush at the sincerity of his tone.
Sure she had heard comments like that from everyone but for some reason Kuroko was an exception. He had said so honestly that the red headed female couldn't help but blush.
"T-thanks." Akashi said as she tried to hide the blush from the male by looking away from him.
Kuroko noted this and was confused by the redhead's action.
"What's wrong?" Kuroko asked curiously, with a tilt of his head.
"N-nothing is wrong." Akashi said, rather too quickly as she waved her hand.
"Alright then, wish me luck." Kuroko said as he then walked to where he was going to start the test.
Akashi then placed a hand on her heart as it was thumping a lot.
'You really don't remember me, huh Tetsuya?' Akashi thought to herself as she watched the boy walk towards the start.
Kuroko then got in position as Kubota started looking around.
"The next student, where is he?" he asked as everyone was just as confused as they started looking around for the student.
"Excuse me." Kuroko called out as everyone then turned their heads to Kuroko and shouted out in shock.
"W-when did you get there?" Kubota asked in complete shock. When did he even get there?
"I was always here" Kuroko said emotionless as Akashi had to suppress her giggles as everyone had shocked looks on their faces.
"A-alright then, shall we begin?" Kubota asked, trying to compose himself after the sudden shock.
Kuroko just nodded his head as he then breathe in some air in order to calm the nervousness that he was feeling.
After all, he didn't want to mess up straight away.
Kuroko then started dribbling the ball to where Kubota was before moving to the left where Kubota was but Kuroko quickly spun around and was facing Sekiguchi.
'This kid has skills, can't go easy on him.' Sekiguchi thought as he then went for the steal but Kuroko managed to bounce the ball to the back of him before passing by the blonde by going to the right. Then came his final test, as the light blue haired was now facing Nijimura.
'This kid is the first male to pass Kubota AND Sekiguchi, I guess I'll have to stop him.' Nijimura thought to himself as he positioned himself.
Kuroko then moves to the right as Nijimura stood there.
'Is he planning on using the same move on me like he did on Kubota?' Nijimura thought before he moved to the left as Kuroko then stopped as he then dribbles towards Nijimura.
'What is he thinking?' the ravenette thought as he then charged towards Kuroko to steal the ball but Kuroko then pulled off a crossover on the captain who was shocked at what happened as Kuroko then moves past the captain before looking at everyone.
They all had looks of awe and shock written all over their faces as Kuroko ignored all of them and walked towards where Akashi was.
"Congratulations, Kuroko." Akashi said with a smile as Kuroko nodded his head in thanks.
"You sure know how to dribble." Akashi commented as Kuroko almost snorted to that but didn't as it would be rude.
"You're way better than me." Kuroko said as Akashi smiled at the light blue haired male and was about to respond had it not been for Mr. Naoto.
"Alright, so a total number of ten students have passed Kubota, five that passed Sekiguchi and four that have passed Nijimura. The rest of you need to work harder otherwise you might as well be kicked out right now!" His voice boomed causing everyone to stiffen as the brunette coughed into his hand.
"We will then start the next test soon, so rest up for a bit and get prepared." Naoto said as he and the second year students all left the gym.
Kuroko smiled to himself, satisfied with the performance he had done for the first test.
