Chapter 3: The New and Improved Natsu Dragneel!
In the last chapter of "I Will Love You No Matter What" :
"But why do you want me to teach you? I'm sure that there are more people with more talented than me when it comes to swords, also, I'm a horrible teacher." Kei said.
Natsu then smiled at her.
"I don't care about that, you're amazingly strong and you're kind too! I would love for you to teach me!" Natsu said happily as Kei blushed again.
Why was she feeling this way? She has never felt it like any other before. Why was her heart beating when she saw his smile?
Kei then shook that off as she smiled.
"Sure I'll teach you, Natsu." Kei said as Natsu smiled at her.
"Thanks Kei!"
Normal POV
It's been a week since Natsu had saved Kei from the group of dark mages, a week since Natsu and Happy had been in Fairy Tail and a week since Kei had agreed to train Natsu on the basis of using a sword.
It was safe to say that the two were getting closer with each other with each day that passes by. The two began to trust each other more than they would with their own personal friends. A proof of this was when Natsu decided to show Kei his Dragon Prince Mode, despite her already being suspicious of his true strength, he still wanted to show her the mode for some strange reason.
Although they had spent only one week and a few days, both of them could honestly tell anyone that to them, it didn't seem like they had only spent a week together, it felt like they had spent their entire lives together.
In fact, it wasn't just Natsu and Kei bonding with one another, both Happy and Sachi were getting close with one another as well, with the two usually playing with one another both inside and outside of Kei's house. Happy even admitted to Natsu one night that Sachi was a better companion to be with in contrast to the broody Charles.
Anyways, back to the story where we currently see Natsu having a sparring match with Kei in a small field, located just nearby Kei's house with Happy and Sachi watching from a safe distance.
Natsu then swung his sword wildly at Kei with the black haired beauty blocking each attack with ease.
The both of them were using wooden swords for the practice seeing as it weren't a real fight.
Natsu then gave one final swing that sent Kei's sword flying away.
Kei then smiled at Natsu, who was panting slightly but with a giant smile on his face nonetheless.
"Congratulations, Natsu. You've finally beat me in a match." Kei said happily with a smile.
"Yeah, and it's all thanks to you, Kei. Without your help, I would have never been able to fight using a sword." Natsu said with a smile as Kei blushed at his words.
"And if you weren't my prince in shining armour, I would have been kidnapped by that dark guild." Kei said and it was Natsu's turn to blush at her words.
Throughout his life, he's only ever heard people call him by his nickname, Salamander, or by nicknames given to him by his friends, but no one had ever called him a prince before and it felt…..nice.
"Well, it looks like we were both in the right place at the right time." Natsu said as Kei nodded her head in agreement as Natsu then looked up to the sky.
"Well, it looks like it's time for me to return back to my guild." Natsu said which caused Kei to widen her eyes in shock.
"R-really?" Kei asked and Natsu could immediately detect the hint of sadness in her tone. However, in truth, he was sad as well.
"I'm sorry Kei, but I need to return to my guild, otherwise my guild mates would be really worried about me." Natsu said as Kei nodded her head.
"Yeah, don't worry, I understand." Kei replied softly as she turned away from the Dragon Prince.
She didn't know why, but the thought of him leaving broke her heart. This had been the very first time she was very close to someone other than her family members and as quick as the friendship started, he was leaving her.
Tears then started falling from the black haired girl's eyes.
At that moment, Natsu's heart broke when he saw her crying. He never enjoyed watching his female friends cry. But now, it feels as if he had a hole in his heart. The sight of Kei crying crushed his spirit entirely.
Natsu then proceeded to hug Kei, tightly I might add.
Kei was shocked by his actions before deciding to cry on Natsu's chest, all the while the pinkette holding onto her tenderly.
After a few minutes, Kei stopped crying and wiped away her tears before she turned to Natsu.
"Promise me." She said as Natsu looked at her in confusion.
"Promise me, that we will meet again." Kei said as Natsu chuckled.
"I won't promise you that." Natsu said.
"Why not?" Kei said, hiding the sadness in her voice quite well.
Natsu then smiled before leaning towards her.
"Because I'll make sure that we'll meet again, no matter what happens, we will meet again." Natsu whispered to her ear, this caused shivers to run down her spine.
Kei blushed when she felt his hot breath on her neck before she wrapped her arms around the Dragon Prince's neck.
"Then consider this is as a farewell gift from me." Kei whispered back as she gave Natsu a small peck on his cheeks.
Natsu was left stunned after what Kei had done, the pinkette's mouth was wide open as if he wanted to say something, but no words could escape his mouth as his face resembled that of a tomato.
Kei then giggled at Natsu's reaction, but she too had a massive blush on her face.
This was the first time she had done something like that to a boy, and the fact it was Natsu made her extremely happy as well.
After a while, Natsu finally snapped out of his shock as he scratched his cheek, the blush still present on his face.
"Thanks for the farewell gift, I really appreciate it." Natsu said with a smile as Kei returned it with one of her own before she realized something.
"Wait, have you seen Sachi around?" Kei asked, this caused Natsu to look around and realized that the white Exceed was in fact missing, alongside a certain blue Exceed.
"I haven't seen her, and Happy's not here too." Natsu said as the two then begun their search for the two Exceeds.
After a while of searching, Natsu finally managed to get the scent of both Exceeds and conveniently, the two of them were at the very same place.
With the Exceeds' smell, Natsu began trekking through the forest surrounding Kei's house with the black haired female right behind him.
After a while, Natsu and Kei found their Exceeds in a small clearing of the forest, asleep, with both of them holding each other tightly in their arms as they slept.
Both Natsu and Kei smiled at each other as they decided to join their Exceeds and stay in the clearing for a short while.
After a few hours had passed, both Exceeds woke up to see that their 'parents' were sleeping as well, peacefully I might add, with Natsu leaning on a tree and Kei laying her head on the pinkette's broad shoulder. Both Exceeds smiled at this and flew over to their 'parents' and rest on them.
After both, Natsu and Kei had awoken from their slumber, Natsu then packed his supplies, which didn't take much time at all seeing as he didn't bring a lot of stuff, unlike a certain redhead he knew.
Natsu and Happy both stood at the exit of the forest, ready to leave with Kei and Sachi watching them off.
"Natsu, may I ask you a question?" Kei asked as Natsu nodded his head.
"Sure, ask away."
"Why do you hold back your true strength?" Kei asked and this question caused Natsu to freeze up for a short while.
She had never asked this before.
"I already told you before, Kei. If I were to reveal my true power to anyone, my strength would be too destructive and bring about destruction everywhere I go." Natsu said with a sigh.
Kei then sighed at the reason that Natsu gave.
"Then could you promise me this?" Kei asked.
"What?" Natsu asked back.
"Could you promise me that you would show everyone a part of your true strength? You don't need to use your full strength, but at least half of it?" Kei asked and Natsu looked hesitant.
"You know that I can't do that." Natsu replied.
"Please, Natsu. Do it for yourself. Do it so that everyone won't underestimate you anymore." Kei said but Natsu shook his head.
"I don't really care about what people think of me, I've handled it since I was young that I'm not affected by it anymore." Natsu replied back.
"Don't you feel sad when people laugh at you when you lost to someone that you could've beat? Don't you feel angry at yourself that you couldn't save everyone from Acnologia because you didn't use your full strength from the start?" Kei felt bad about saying those things, but she wanted to give Natsu an incentive to use his full strength.
"Well, I admit that I do sometimes." Natsu admitted.
"Then please, Natsu. Show everyone just a piece of who you truly are." Kei said as she held Natsu's hands.
Natsu then kept silent after what Kei had said, thinking about her words carefully.
Kei noticed this and sighed.
It was time for desperate measures!
Please Natsu, don't just do it for yourself, do it for Happy and for me!" Kei said which shocked Natsu.
"I don't know, Kei." Natsu said as Kei sighed.
"Then how about if you do then, we could spend more time training on your sword skills?" Kei said as Natsu just smiled at what she said.
If it would make her happy then maybe, maybe he could start trying harder for once.
"Alright, you got me. I promise to use part of my true strength form now on." Natsu said as Kei smiled.
"What changed your mind?" Kei asked.
"The thought of being able to make you happy." Natsu smiled as Kei blushed at what he said.
"Really?" Kei asked softly while Natsu smiled as he brought Kei closer to him by pulling her waist.
"I'm serious." Natsu smirked when he saw the blush on Kei's face.
Kei then giggled before pushing Natsu away gently.
"Alright, Natsu it's time for you to leave." Kei giggled when she saw Natsu grumbling.
For a man who possessed unbelievable power, he acted like a kid at times.
"Alright then, I'll see you soon then." Natsu said as Happy was saying his goodbyes to Sachi as well.
"Promise me that you'll come back soon." Sachi said as tears were threatening to fall from her eyes.
"Don't worry I promise to come back soon, and if Natsu disagrees with me, I'll just beat the crap out of him!" Happy said as Sachi giggled.
"Alright, I'll trust you on that." Sachi said as Happy flew over to Natsu.
"We'll see you next time, then!" Natsu said as he and Happy waved.
"Come back soon!" Kei shouted.
"We will!" Natsu shouted back as Kei and Sachi kept on waving until both Natsu and Happy were out of sight.
Kei then sighed, she was definitely going to miss the pinkette.
"Kei are you alright?" Sachi asked her friend in worry as the black haired girl turned to her friend with a smile.
"Don't worry, I'm fine, Sachi." Kei reassured the white Exceed as an image of a smiling Natsu appeared on her face.
"But I think I know what's wrong with me." Kei said as she placed her hands on her chest with a smile on her face.
"What's wrong?" Sachi asked.
Kei then thought back to all the moments she had with Natsu and each time she did, her heart would beat uncontrollably and butterflies would start fluttering in her stomach. She could no longer deny it anymore.
"I think that I'm in love with Natsu." Kei said as Sachi smiled at her 'mother'.
With Natsu
After a few hours of walking, Natsu and Happy had finally made it to the city of Magnolia.
However, instead of heading straight to the guild, Natsu decided to make a few stops around the city first.
"Natsu where are we going? The guild is the other way." Happy asked.
"Well, I think I need to get some new equipment before going to the guild." Natsu said and there was a weapon store in view up ahead.
"Are you planning on buying a sword?" Happy asked already knowing the answer.
"Yeah, I sure am. After all, what's the point of learning how to use a sword if I don't have one on me?" Natsu asked as Happy nodded his head. He had a point.
"I have to agree with you on that." Happy said.
Natsu nodded as he entered the store. There he saw the man who he had always seen at the shop when helping Erza and her equipment. The man's name was Sam.
Sam was an old man that was around his sixties. He has grey hair, and was wearing a green shirt and blue pants. He was also wearing a green apron.
"Welcome...oh, Natsu? What can I do for you today?" Sam asked with a gentle smile on his face.
"Hey there, Sam" Natsu greeted.
"Helping Erza with one of her deliveries again?" Sam asked but Natsu shook his head at that.
"No, actually I came here to buy a weapon." Natsu replied.
"Really now? I always thought that the mighty Dragon Prince would rather use his fist and magic and not a weapon." Sam asked and Natsu smirked at him.
When Natsu was young, he had saved Sam from a monster attack during a mission and was forced to use his Dragon Prince Mode in order to defeat the monster. Of course, he made Sam promise him that he would not tell anyone about it.
"Well, someone taught me how to use a sword, and I was always fascinated when Erza uses it when she fights." Natsu replied as a small blush crept on his face. And although it was a small blush, Sam managed to catch it and smiled.
"I see, then is the person who taught you how to use a sword, important to you?" Sam asked as Natsu was caught off guard by the sudden question from the old man.
"W-what are you talking about?" Natsu stuttered a bit.
"I mean do you consider that person important to you?" Sam repeated his question again.
Natsu then smiled at that question as he thought back to the time he spent with her, it was all so memorable to the Dragon Prince,
"Yeah, she definitely is. I was glad to have met her." Natsu said as he recalled as to how he met Kei. Though, it definitely would have been better if that dark guild weren't there, but he still considered it to be an important memory.
Sam then smiled when he heard those words from the pinkette, it was the exact same tone one would use when talking about a special someone.
"I see, well we have lots of swords in the shop, why don't you look at them?" Sam said and Natsu nodded his head.
"Sure, thanks a lot, Sam." Natsu thanked the old man as he then began walking around the store.
As he walked around the store, the pinkette noticed several different weapons on the shelfs. The variety of weapons ranged from swords to spears, there were even some armours and shields as well.
Although there were lots of weapons in the store, none of them had caught his eye, though it was rude of him to say, each and every one of them were plain.
"Hey Natsu what about this one?" Happy suggested as he held a green sword.
"Nope, doesn't look interesting." Natsu commented.
"How about this one?" Happy suggested again as this time he held a grey coloured sword.
Natsu looked at it before once again, shaking his head.
After a while of searching, Natsu decided that he would look elsewhere as none of the weapons in the shoop had caught his interest.
As he was about to say goodbye to Sam, he saw a few men surrounding the shop owner.
"You said that my sword would be ready by today!" One of the men shouted angrily as he grabbed Sam by his collar and lifted him up in the air.
That man has black hair in a Mohawk style and he was wearing a black and green vest and blue pants. On the back of his vest was an image of a turtle-like creature.
"I'm sorry but I don't have enough materials to make your sword, if you could give me a few more weeks, then I can finish it." Sam tried to reason but he was then slammed into the wall making a small indent in it.
"Look, here pipsqueak! I have a very important bounty hunt to do! And if I fail this job, I lose a lot of money alright? So if you-" The man was unable to finish his sentence as he was then punched in the face courtesy of Natsu. Sam was then dropped to the ground, unconscious.
"Look here you asshole! Sam here has more important things to do then dealing with your petty bullshit!" Natsu growled as Happy got off his head and got into battle stance of his own, this amused the group of men.
"HAHAHA! Oh, and the two of you, a pipsqueak and a little cat are going to make me pay? My men and I are top class bounty hunters!" The man said as the men behind him all got their respective weapons.
"So what, I'm not scared of people like you. You look like you work in a circus full of clowns." Natsu taunted, angering the black haired man as the people behind him laughed mockingly.
"You are dealing with the wrong person, kid!" One of the men behind laughed.
"Yeah this is Kraven the Bounty Hunter! He is a triple S Class Bounty Hunter. You're completely out of your league kid!" Another man laughed.
Natsu then smirked at what he heard.
A Triple S Class Bounty Hunter, rumours claim that they are people who have defeated the best monsters throughout the land and that they are very tough to beat in battle.
Let him be the judge of that.
"If so then bring it on! Happy take care of the rest of them!" Natsu called out as Happy nodded before he flew in towards the men, grabbing one of them out of the store causing everyone else to chase after him, leaving Natsu and Kraven alone in the store.
"Prepare to say goodbye!" Kraven roared as Natsu rolled his eyes at that before the pinkette then charged at Kraven, picking up a sword from the counter before he slashed it, applying his magic to the slash, at Kraven who was then sent flying away by the force of the attack.
However, before he continued his chase after Kraven, he looked down at the sword that he picked up, it was a perfectly crafted sword, it was red coloured sword with black linings, it has small sharp points, and the handle was wrapped with perfect smooth cloth. However, it wasn't the appearance that caught Natsu's attention, it was the magic that was surrounding the sword.
It felt as if the sword was calling out to him.
Natsu then shook that thought before chasing after Kraven.
Kraven was still in the air from the force of Natsu's attack but he managed to maintain his momentum in the air and begin to crash down into the forest.
Natsu, who saw what had happened, began running towards the forest.
After a while, Natsu finally reached the forest and was greeted by a punch something that he easily caught.
"What?!" Kraven said in disbelief.
"Nice punch, why don't you try mine!" Natsu said as he gave Kraven his own punch which sent Kraven flying to a tree.
But Natsu was not done, he then started slashing his sword at Kraven who was shocked by this and gave a loud shout of pain.
"Now for the finisher! Fire Dragon Burning Slash!" The sword was then surrounded by red-orange flames as Natsu then sent a powerful slash at Kraven.
Natsu then sighed as he rested the sword on his shoulder.
"I really thought that he was-" Natsu then stopped as he then jumped back when he felt a strong amount of magic coming from where Kraven was.
"So I guess this is why they gave you your title of a Triple S Class Bounty Hunter." Natsu said as Kraven then got back up, however, his entire appearance was different.
His entire body was now covered in green scales, his face also had scales on them and his eyes were red in colour.
'I can defeat him even if I hold back, but I'm not going to break my promise with Kei!' Natsu thought as he was then surrounded by black aura.
After a while, Natsu then activated his Dragon Prince Mode.
"It's time for me to bring you judgement!" Natsu said as his hands were then surrounded by red aura.
"Fire Dragon Crimson Flash!"
Natsu then disappeared from sight as Kraven was searching high and low for Natsu.
"I'm right here!" A voice said behind Kraven, who turned back, only to be greeted by a knee to his face.
"Dragon Prince Burning Spike!" Natsu's body was then surrounded by spikes which caused Kraven to shout angrily as he sent a barrage of punches at Natsu's direction.
Natsu didn't care about the punches that Kraven gave him since he couldn't feel the impact of the attacks.
Kraven then stopped his punches as he looked at his hands only to see large amounts of scratches and bruises on them.
"It's time for the finisher! Dragon Prince Sword Typhoon!" Natsu then held his sword in front of him as it separates into a thousand tiny, slender blade fragments appearing in front of him as they all lunged and started slashing Kraven, slowly breaking the scales on his body.
After a while, Kraven then reverted back to his original form, his body was filled with scratches and blood. Kraven then fell to the ground unconscious, with his mouth open agape.
Natsu then reverted back to his normal form as he looked at the downed Kraven without any interest before he called the Magic Council and shortly after he did that, Happy flew in with Kraven's men, with all of them tied together with a rope.
"Say, were they strong at all?" Natsu asked and Happy shook his head.
"I didn't even need to use my Tenebrarum form in order to beat them, all I did was fly around and got them to knock themselves out." Happy said as Natsu chuckled.
After waiting for a few minutes, the Magic Council finally arrived.
"Thank you very much for your help Mr. Dragneel for catching Kraven for us. He's actually wanted for illegal hunting." Lahar said.
"Yeah, I know, I wouldn't have called the Council otherwise." Natsu said as Lahar looked around at the minimal damage in the area.
"Yes, though I am quite shocked to see that you were alone when we arrived. After all, Kraven is known to be a very powerful foe." Lahar said as Natsu shook his head.
"Well I'm not alone, Happy is here with me after all." Natsu replied as Happy went up his shoulder, posing with a thumbs up and a smile.
Lahar then smiled at the pinkette as he closed his eyes.
'Maybe I was wrong about that guild after all.' He thought to himself.
"Well, thank you nonetheless for your work. I hope to see you soon." Lahar said as he gave Natsu a quick bow before walking away with Kraven and his men in the cart.
'There's something different about Dragneel that I can't quite put my finger on.' Lahar thought as they exited Magnolia.
Natsu and Happy then watched as the Magic Council then disappeared from sight.
"Well let's head back to the shop, we have to make sure that Sam's alright after what happened." Natsu suggested and Happy nodded his head in agreement.
Once they reached the shop, Natsu then walked over to Sam.
"Hey Sam, are you alright?" Natsu asked as Sam groaned in pain before he finally got up.
"Hey there Natsu. Where's Kraven?" Sam asked as he looked around to find the hunter, but couldn't.
"Both he and his men are in custody of the Magic council, so you don't need to worry about them anymore." Natsu said as Sam smiled.
"Thanks a lot for your help, Natsu. If it weren't for you I would have continued to make more weapons for that man." Sam thanked as Natsu just waved it off.
"Nah, that's alright. Anyways Sam, how much is this sword?" Natsu asked as he showed Sam the sword.
Sam then looked at the sword before he smiled.
"This is actually the best sword in the entire shop, a lot of people even Erza has asked for this sword but I wouldn't give it to any of them." Sam explained as Natsu looked at the sword before looking back at Sam.
"Here's the sword then." Natsu said handing it over to the old man as Sam smiled before shaking his head.
"You keep it." Sam said which shocked Natsu.
"WHAT!? Really? Why would you give this sword to me, if you didn't even sell it to Erza?" Natsu asked.
"You see, I didn't built this sword, I actually found it. Rumours say that this sword is actually made out of Dragon Bones. So that is why I would never give it to anyone. But I think that this sword already chose its wielder." Sam explained as Natsu looked at the sword and smiled.
"Thanks a lot, Sam." Natsu said.
"No, it's fine, just think of it as a thank you gift for saving me two times without any repayment." Sam said as Natsu smiled again as he and Happy walked away from the sword as they bid their goodbyes with Sam.
Once both Natsu and Happy were out of sight, Sam smiled to himself as he recalled his late wife's words.
"That boy definitely plays a bigger role in this world than he imagined." Sam said before walking back to the shop.
As Natsu and Happy were walking through town, Natsu was busy admiring his newly bought sword.
"Wow that's such a nice sword, you got there, Natsu." Happy commented.
"Thanks." Natsu smiled as he and Happy walked into a saloon.
"Hello, and welcome to… oh, Hey there Natsu!" A green haired female greeted the pinkette with a smile.
"Hey there, Selene!" Natsu greeted.
Selene has green hair and brown eyes and she was the daughter of Sam. She was wearing a blue T-shirt and green pants while wearing a black apron.
"What can I do for you today?" Selene asked.
"I was wondering if you could dye my hair for me." Natsu asked.
Selene wasn't all that shocked when she heard his request, but she was intrigued about it.
"Sure, but if I may ask, why?" Selene asked as Natsu took a seat on a chair.
"I want my hair colour to be similar when I'm in that form." Natsu said as Selene smiled.
Selene, Sam and her mother had all seen Natsu using his Dragon Prince Mode when they were all younger, but all in different scenarios of course.
"Also, I don't think I want my hair to be pink any longer." Natsu said as Selene giggled at that.
"Alright then." Selene said before she got to work.
After a few hours, Natsu's hair was finally the colour that he wanted, black.
"Thanks, Selene how much would that be?" Natsu asked as he pulled out some jewels from his pocket.
"You don't have to pay a single jewel, Natsu. I still haven't owe you when you saved my life back when I was younger." Selene smiled as Natsu smiled as well.
"Thanks a lot for your help, Selene." Natsu said.
"But please follow my dada and me when we head to the Cathedral for my mother's anniversary." Selene said sadly as Natsu frowned when he heard that as he nodded his head.
"I promise that I will. By my title of Dragon Prince I'll make sure to keep my promise!" Natsu said before he exited the store.
Selene was then left to her own self.
"Mom, now I know why you think that boy is special. He really is one of a kind." Selene smiled softly to herself as another customer came in.
After exiting the saloon, Natsu headed over to a clothes shop where he wanted to change his appearance to match his new black hair.
He was now wearing, a red, and black jacket with a black hoodie at the back of it, with a black shirt inside, blue jeans, and the white scarf that Igneel gave him. The sword that Sam gave him was at the back of his waist.
As Natsu was walking back to the guild, every female that saw him squealed at the sight of him with blushes on their faces
If Natsu were to look at them, he'd just smile at their direction, which caused the females to faint with a massive blush on her face.
Happy just sighed at the females on the road, as he floated closely beside Natsu while the new black haired Prine was walking back to the guild.
At the Guild
"Are you sure that Natsu is close?" Lucy asked Cana, the Guild's heaviest drinker of all time.
"Like I said a billion times ago, yes Natsu is close to the guild, I don't know where his exact location is but he IS in Magnolia." Cana replied, annoyed by Lucy's constant bugging. She can't drink her beer in peace with the blonde's constant questions.
"Alright, it's just that Natsu was gone for one week! It can't take him that long to search for Igneel!" Lucy said.
"Yeah, where is the flame brain anyways? I haven't kicked his ass in a long time." Gray said with a smirk as he cracked his knuckles.
"So, are you saying that you plan on fighting him when he gets back?" Erza asked Gray with a dangerous tone in her voice.
Gray then shuddered as he quickly shook his head.
"N-no of course not, I was just kidding." Gray stuttered.
"Well trust me, Lucy. Natsu will be here soon. It's not like he had a gigantic makeover of his looks or anything, right?" Mirajane joked.
"Yeah, that's very unlikely." Erza said with a chuckle.
A few seconds later the door then opened, it was not kicked or punched. It was just opened the normal way.
Everyone then looked to see who it was and they were all shocked that it was none other than Natsu.
"Hey there everyone! What's up?" Natsu said with a massive grin but nobody responded to him.
They were all busy trying to answer one simple question in their head.
Did Natsu change his looks?
The silence was then broke out by laughter from Gray.
"HAHAHA! What took over you and decided to have a makeover?" Gray asked in between laughs.
"Well, at the very least, I still have my clothes on." Natsu said politely with a smile, shocking the guild even more.
Gray then looked down and realized that he was just in his boxers.
"AHH! When did this happen?" Gray shouted as he ran away to find his clothes.
Natsu then looked around the guild to see that every female in the guild was blushing at the sight of him. Heck even Erza and Juvia were blushing when they saw Natsu.
Natsu then walked over to the counter where he rested an arm on it.
"Hey there Mira, can I have some whiskey?" Natsu asked which brought Mira back to reality as she shook her head.
"Um sure, of course Natsu." Mira said as she handed over a bottle to Natsu as he gave her a smile in appreciation to her.
"Hey there guys." Natsu greeted with a flick of his hands.
And with that both Lucy and Erza then snapped back into reality.
"Natsu what happened to you?" Erza asked as she tried to shrug off the massive blush on her face, unfortunately for her, she couldn't.
Natsu then raised an eyebrow at the strange question.
"Nothing's wrong with me, I just decided that I needed a makeover is all." Natsu stated with a smile.
Lucy, however, could not say anything as she stared at the black haired male with a massive blush on her face.
"Um, Lucy, are you alright?" Natsu asked as he waved his hands in front of her which caused her to snap back into reality, once again.
"H-h-h-hi there Natsu." Lucy stuttered and as well as Erza, she had a massive blush on her face, something she was unable to shrug off.
As the black haired prince and the blonde Celestial mage were talking with one another, Erza then noticed the sword around Natsu's waist.
"Hey Natsu, could I see that sword you have over there?" Erza asked which caused everyone in the guild, including Gray, to be interested.
"Sure." Natsu said with a smile as he handed over the sword to Erza.
Erza then began examining the sword before her eyes widened in shock.
"Wait, but the shop owner said that he wouldn't sell this to anyone! How do you have it?" Erza asked in shock.
"Well, when I was young, I helped Sam a lot and he told me that in order to repay for everything I've done, I could keep the sword for free." Natsu explained as Erza pouted when she heard that.
"That's unfair." Erza said as she handed the sword back to Natsu.
Natsu smirked around as he rested his hands on the bar counter.
This would prove to be very interesting.
A few days later
Natsu was currently having a drink at the counter, talking with Mira as everyone in the guild looked at him strangely.
They still couldn't believe that Natsu had changed so much in those few days.
Whenever Gray challenged him to a battle, he just walks away and ignored him, and if the Ice Mage does attack him, the black haired male just destroyed his ice creations with a single finger.
Natsu was currently enjoying the peacefulness of the guild as he closed his eyes. However he quickly opened his eyes just as fast as he closed it when he felt a familiar presence nearby.
The black haired male then ran towards the exit of the guild, pushing the doors open, much to everyone's confusion until they saw the reason he did so.
The technological mechanisms of the town were then sliding slide ways, and rising over platforms. After a while, it only left a very large, straight road which lead all the way to the guild.
Natsu then had a smirk on his face, as he knew who was back.
It only took a short while before a man then stood tall and proud at the entrance of the guild.
That man was none other than Gildarts Clive.
"Hey there, Gildarts." Natsu greeted with a smile, sitting back at the counter,
Gildarts then looked over at Natsu and tilted his head in confusion.
"Wait, who are you?" Gildarts asked as everyone, excluding Natsu and Happy, fell to the ground comically.
"That's Natsu!" The entire guild shouted.
"Natsu?" Gildarts asked as he looked closer just to see that the guild was indeed right.
"Oh my Earthland! Natsu what happened to you?" Gildarts shouted in shock, pointing at the Dragon Prince as Natsu chuckled at the man's reaction.
"I'm fine, Gildarts, how are you today?" Natsu asked as everyone looked at Natsu in shock.
'Natsu didn't ask for a battle straight after Gildarts returned home?'
A few moments later, Makarov, the current guild master of Fairy Tail then appeared in the guild.
"Natsu." Makarov called out.
"Yes Master?" Natsu asked as the guild were further shocked that Natsu called Makarov, Master and not Gramps.
"I received a call from the Council and heard that you managed to beat the illegal hunter, Kraven and brought him to jail. Alone." Master Makarov said which caused everyone to be more shocked than they could be.
"Natsu defeated a triple S Class hunter?!" The guild shouted in disbelief.
Natsu rubbed his ears in pain before he gave a slight chuckle.
"Yeah, I think I recall doing something like that, Master." Natsu said which caused Makarov to raise an eyebrow.
"Natsu is there anything wrong?" Makarov asked and Natsu sighed.
"Honestly, I'm fine! Why is everyone asking me that same question?" Natsu asked.
Makarov then looked at Natsu more closely.
He felt an aura of confidence and strength surrounding Natsu, it was much more different than the last time he saw Natsu.
It was almost as if the black haired male was…stronger than before.
Makarov, wanting to test his assumption.
"Natsu, I want you to fight Gildarts." Master Makarov announced as everyone, for the millionth time that day, was shocked by what they heard.
"Master, are you sure about this? Natsu could get seriously hurt if he fights Gildarts." Erza reasoned, worrying for her guild mate's welfare.
"Yeah, Gramps, the Flame Brain can't possibly take on Gildarts on his own." Gray added on.
Natsu then smirked as he got up, doing some small stretches.
"Sure, I'm up for it, what about you Gildarts?" Natsu asked as he turned to the orange haired male who smiled as well.
"Sure, I always love a good fight." Gildarts said as Natsu smirked when he heard that.
'It's time to show everyone who I really am.' Natsu thought to himself as he, alongside Gildarts, walked out of the guild for their fight.
