Chapter 24: Love Triangle
In the last chapter of "I Will Love You No Matter What":
Everyone also made a silent agreement as they looked forward to the final day. It wasn't just to defeat that one guild, it was also…
"To defeat Natsu Dragneel!"
Normal POV
Natsu was currently walking down the tunnel leading to the stands with a satisfied grin on his face. I mean, why wouldn't he? He just finished a fun battle with two of his kind.
'Man if only the time limit was around an hour, if that was the case I would have enjoyed the battle even more.' Natsu pouted to himself.
He thoroughly enjoyed the battle despite the cocky attitude of his opponents, despite all of that, he could honestly say that he respected their skills as Dragon Slayers and if they continued to train for a few more years, then maybe he would be able to take them a bit more seriously in battle.
Natsu continued on walking until he saw someone familiar leaning on the wall of the tunnel. It was none other than Leila.
"Oh, hey there Leila." Natsu greeted with a smile as he waved at her.
Leila smiled back in return when she saw the Dragon Prince.
"Hey there Natsu. Awesome battle there. Personally it could even be better than your fight with Jura." Leila stated as Natsu's grin widened when he heard her say that.
"Now, I have a question to ask you, Natsu. Could you please answer honestly?" Leila asked and Natsu was confused by her sudden change in tone but nodded his head nonetheless.
"Sure, what-" Natsu was then lifted into the air by Leila who glared at him menacingly.
"How do you know, Kei?" Leila asked with a growl and Natsu was shocked by this.
'I didn't know that the two had already met up with each other.' Natsu thought as he tried to loosen himself from the white haired female's grasp, but he was unable to.
'Damn, looks like that wound reopened again.' Natsu thought as he flinched in pain.
"What-"
"Answer the question!" Leila demanded and Natsu was about to answer when someone beat him to it.
"Leila, please let him go. Natsu's still hasn't fully recovered from his fight with Jura." Kei's voice rang through the tunnel as everyone turned to see the black haired beauty and flying beside her was Sachi and Happy.
Leila then dropped the Dragon Prince to the ground as he gripped his sides in pain and Kei immediately ran towards him in worry.
"Natsu, are you alright?" Kei asked, worry evident in her eyes and Natsu gave her a smile.
"Don't worry, I'm alright." Natsu said with a reassuring smile as Kei gave him a small glare.
"I told you to not overwork yourself." Kei said and Natsu chuckled uneasily as Kei helped him up.
"Sorry, I was just having too much fun out there." Natsu said as he rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.
"Even though, you know about your injuries, why didn't you ask that young girl to help you?" Kei asked and Natsu blushed as he looked down.
"I kind of forgot to, I was about to ask her today but Lucy got hurt and she needed to get healed, not me." Natsu said and Kei sighed before she smiled and faced Natsu lovingly.
"What am I going to do with you?" Kei asked and Natsu smiled back at her as he looked at his mate's beautiful blue orbs.
In his opinion alone, there was nothing on the Earthland-, no the entire universe that could match its beauty.
The two were about to lean in for a kiss before someone coughed, causing them to turn their attention to Leila who felt like she was ignored, and technically she was.
Leila watched the two with shock evident on her face because of a few reasons.
The first, she didn't expect the black haired man, whom she was feeling something for, to know her younger sister, and judging by how casual they were talking to each other, it seems that they know each other for a long time now.
And that brought her to the second point. In all her life, she knew that Kei was a very social girl. But that all changed when she reached her teenage years, when her hormones had affected her and such, and that the time when she was beginning to isolate herself from those of the opposite sex, excluding those that she knew beforehand. She wouldn't even make contact with them and if they ever approach her, then may they have mercy. It was also one of the major reasons why Kei decided to live in a forest, in the middle of nowhere, of all places!
So that brings to the bigger question.
What kind of relationship did the two have?
Kei, noticing the focused look on her sister's face, sighed as she turned to her lover.
"Natsu, could you leave me and my sister alone? We have some…..things to discuss. And could you take Sachi and Happy along with you?" Natsu nodded his head as he, Happy and Sachi walked off, most likely headed off somewhere where they would wait for her.
Kei then turned to her sister who finally snapped out of her trance as she looked at her seriously.
"I have a feeling you have some questions that you want me to answer." Kei said and Leila nodded her head.
"Yes, and I want you to answer them honestly, alright?" Leila said and Kei nodded her head.
"Now, question one…" The tension surrounding them was thick and to say Kei was nervous would be an understatement, she would have been feeling terrified if the person in front of her wasn't her sister.
"Why'd you stop calling me, Leila-nee san?! When you were young you loved calling me 'Leila-nee san'!" Leila cried out and Kei face palmed at the rather childish question, but she was slightly thankful for it.
"Wasn't it your idea for me to not call you that in public so that no one would be able to harm you through me?" Kei asked and Leila thought about it before she smiled.
"Oh right, I forgot about that." Leila said and Kei sighed. Although her sister was one of the most powerful mages of all time and had one of the highest intelligence of anyone she's ever met. One of her flaws definitely included childishness.
"Alright, in all seriousness, what are you doing here, sis? I thought I told you to stay at home and that you can only go to Sea Breeze Town if you ever needed to buy any resources. Heck you didn't even bring your sword with you! Do you know how dangerous it is for you to come here without any proper protection?" Leila asked in worry.
"Don't worry Leila, I'm perfectly fine, besides Natsu was the one that brought me here and made sure that I'm safe." Kei said with a smile as Leila nodded her head.
"And that brings me to my second question, how do you know Natsu?"
"Well, it happened a few months ago when I was out in the forest collecting berries and a Dark Guild attacked me-"
"A Dark Guild attacked you?! Are you okay, Kei? I'm going to kill those bastards if they touched even a single hair on you!" Leila raged as her magical power flared up but Kei shook her head.
"I'm alright, anyways, it was Natsu that came and saved me from them and from there we became friends." Kei smiled, leaving out the part where she and Natsu are currently in a relationship.
'I don't think I want to know her reaction if she ever found out about us together.' Kei thought to herself, knowing how overprotective her sister was.
Leila then smiled as a small blush appeared on her face, something that Kei quickly noticed.
"Looks like I have to thank him for saving my sister." Leila said quietly to herself, but unfortunately for her, Kei heard it and a frown appeared on her face.
'Don't tell me she has a crush on Natsu too.' Kei was now worried about competing with her sister over a man, but she reassured herself knowing how loyal Natsu was to her.
"Well, I guess that's everything I needed to know, I guess I'll see you later Kei!" and with that Leila walked off away, leaving Kei alone in the tunnel.
"So, what were you two talking about?" Natsu asked and Kei turned and saw the Dragon Prince leaning against the same wall Leila did.
"Same questions any protective sisters would ask." Kei said as she walked towards him before she grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and pulled him down towards her for a kiss.
Natsu was shocked but he smiled before returning the kiss.
After a few minutes, the two finally separated and Natsu was breathless as he smiled at Kei.
"So what was that for?" Natsu asked and Kei looked at him with a smile.
"I don't know, I just felt like it." Kei said as she walked ahead of Natsu.
'Natsu belongs to me and only me. I won't let anyone else take him away from me. Not even my sister!' Kei thought determinedly as Natsu then grabbed Kei's hand and smiled at her causing Kei to smile back at him.
'Yeah, only to me.'
Oh, and as we were mentioning about flaws beforehand, as you would have guessed it, one of Kei's flaws is that she is extremely possessive, but with good reasons, of course.
After all, when did Natsu ever complain about it?
It was later that night where Natsu and the rest of the Fairy Tail guild were celebrating their victory of Sabertooth.
"That match was awesome!"
"Yeah, we showed them a thing or two!"
"Natsu, you were amazing!"
Natsu ignored all the praises given to him as he took a sip of his beer, sitting beside none other than Jellal.
"So you found your target yet?" Natsu asked and the blue haired male nodded his head.
"Yeah, but it wasn't Zeref after all. It was someone else…." Jellal's mind then wandered to the time he encountered the hooded figure.
"So, who was it? And what connection did he have with Zeref?" Natsu asked but Jellal sighed.
"I wished I could tell you Natsu, but in the end, it just brings more and more questions up." Jellal stated.
"Well, I-"
"Jellal, I demand that you come here, now!" Erza's voice boomed through the entire bar as the blue haired man turned back and saw the woman of his dreams with a slight blush on her face, but the fact that she was holding a beer bottle in her hand was unnerving.
Natsu, who noticed it, patted his blue haired teammate on the back.
"Good luck Jellal, you'll need it when she's drunk like that." Natsu said as Jellal gulped in fear as he walked towards her.
"Natsu." Someone called out to him and the Dragon Prince saw none other than Makarov who was sitting at the corner of the bar.
Natsu then walked towards him and sat beside the old man.
"Why don't we have a chat? We don't have much of these anymore, do we?" Makarov asked as Natsu turned to his guild master.
"I can already assume what you want to talk to me about, Master." Natsu said as Makarov turned to him.
"Oh? And what would that be?" Makarov asked, raising an eyebrow at him.
"You wish to know where my sudden burst of power came from and what other secrets that I am hiding from everyone else, correct?" Natsu asked quietly with a smirk.
The old man may be wise and all powerful, but he sure was predictable.
"I also want to know when you suddenly grew a brain." Makarov grumbled to himself, much to Natsu's amusement before he looked at the old man seriously.
"I won't tell you anything Master. Just know that I am not plotting anything against the guild." Natsu said and Makarov sighed, already expecting that he wouldn't get anything from the Dragon Prince.
"Fine, but could you at least tell me why you've changed so much over the past few months or so?" Makarov asked and Natsu smiled.
"Sure, there's an angel who is my dream and showed me that I no longer need to keep the barriers up any longer, to break the façade I have intended for others to see. She is my dream and world." Natsu said, chuckling at the confused look of his Master.
That was when Natsu stood up and stretched his body.
"If you want to find the answers, you have to go and decipher that, Master." Natsu said playfully as he exited the bar, leaving a confused Guild Master who was left by himself, thinking about what Natsu had just said.
'Just who is this angel that Natsu mentioned about?' Makarov thought to himself.
With Natsu
Natsu then looked up at the night sky, gazing at the moon that seem to be looking down upon him.
"Natsu!" the Dragon Prince immediately turned to the source of the voice with a smile as he saw Kei running towards him.
"Hey there Kei, what's up?" Natsu asked and Kei sighed.
"It looks like my sister wants to eat dinner with us." Kei said and Natsu was confused by that.
"I'd expect just you since you two are sisters, but me too? Why is that?" Natsu asked and Kei frowned slightly.
'Maybe it's due to the fact that you've managed to attract even HER feelings as well.' Kei thought but she shrugged her shoulder.
"I guess, she wanted to treat you or something?" Kei said and Natsu shrugged his shoulder as well as he grabbed her hands and intertwined his fingers with hers.
"Well, might as well walk there together. I don't want you to get lost in this huge city." Natsu said cheekily and Kei smiled back with a teasing smile.
"Wasn't it you who got us lost during the first time we met?" Kei giggled at the sheepish look on Natsu's face. She definitely wasn't going to let Natsu forget about that.
"Say, where's Happy and Sachi? They were with you before I headed for the bar." Natsu asked and Kei giggled.
"They're having some 'fun' I their room again." Kei said and Natsu, already knowing what that meant, nodded his head.
And with that, no more words were said as they let the serenity of the beautiful night sky surround them as they walked to their destination.

It took them a few minutes but they managed to arrive at the restaurant Leila had reserved. In fact, it was the very same restaurant Natsu had brought Kei to.
"So, we're eating here again, eh?" Natsu asked, not really minding as Kei nodded her head.
"I'm sure I told you about Leila being famous beforehand, though she rarely uses the perks of being one as she rather be considered as another human being." Kei stated as she turned to face Natsu again.
'And maybe that's why Leila was so interested in you.' Kei thought, now feeling nervous about her relationship with the Dragon Prince.
Natsu, sensing her worry, grabbed her hand reassuringly as he placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Come on, let's not keep your sister waiting otherwise she'll be suspicious." Natsu said to her and Kei immediately nodded in agreement.
They instantly found Leila sitting at a table on the balcony and her face lit up when she saw her little sister and her crush. Though, she was a little jealous that Kei was the one who approached him and not her.
"Hey there Kei! Natsu!" Leila greeted as the two greeted back as they both sat on the chairs.
"Awesome place you've brought us to, Leila." Natsu said and Leila smiled at him.
"It's the least I could do for Kei's saviour." Leila said and she inched closer towards Natsu, something Kei noticed, while the Dragon Prince didn't.
"So, how are you feeling, Natsu?" Leila asked with worry and Natsu brushed it off.
"I'm perfectly fine, just a little sore, but other than that, it's nothing!" Natsu said with a smile as Leila smiled lovingly at him, which was causing Kei to feel anger.
However, before Leila could proceed any more, the food arrived and Natsu's mouth watered at the sight of food, since he didn't eat anything yet and his stomach growled loudly as he laughed cheekily.
"Looks, like I haven't eaten anything yet." Natsu said sheepishly as Kei giggled.
It was just like him to break her out of a tense mood, be it by accident or on purpose.
"Well, go ahead and eat, don't let me stop you, Natsu-kun~" Leila said seductively as Natsu felt a shiver going up his spine when she said his name like that while Kei's eyebrows twitched in annoyance
Leila may be her sister, but she wasn't going to let her move on her man any longer!
"Hey Natsu." Kei called out as Natsu turned to her.
"Say 'ahh'." Kei said as she held her spoon out with some meat on it to Natsu.
Her action caused Leila to be shocked by her bold action, it also made her quite jealous.
Natsu blushed, but who was he to deny his mate's wants? Natsu then opened his mouth as Kei fed him.
"So, how is it, Natsu?" Kei asked and Natsu smiled at her.
"It was delicious!" Natsu said and Kei smiled happily as she saw Leila glaring jealously at her.
"Hey, Natsu. Why don't you try this? It's really good!" Leila said as she did the same as Kei and fed Natsu too.
"Thanks Leila! It's really good!" Natsu said and Leila was satisfied with his answer as the two sisters glared at each other.
And throughout the entire dinner, Kei and Leila spent the entire time trying to feed Natsu before he stopped them and told them to eat their own food.
The three then parted ways from the restaurant as Leila blew Natsu a kiss before she walked off.
This seems to have angered Kei as she stormed off, with Natsu in suit.
The two reached their hotel room and it was safe to say that Kei was NOT in a good mood at all.
"Well, that happened…." Natsu said awkwardly, not knowing what to say in this situation.
He knew that Kei was upset and angered about something, but he couldn't place his finger on what it was.
"Hey Kei, are you alright?" Natsu asked.
"Why wouldn't I be alright?" Kei snapped as Natsu was shocked by her tone of voice. She was almost never angry like this since the time they left the Dragon Temple.
"Kei, please. If there's anything bothering you, then please tell me." Natsu begged as he sat beside her, looking at her with worry.
Kei then sighed as she turned to face her beloved mate.
"Do you even know why I'm upset?" Kei asked and Natsu shook his head causing her to sigh.
"Natsu, I'm jealous." Kei said causing Natsu to raise his eyebrow at her.
"What?"
"I said I'm jealous that all the girls are looking at you like you're some prize to be won at a carnival! And I can't deal with that at all!" Kei said as tears began to fill her eyes, shocking Natsu.
"And I'm scared that you're going to abandon me someday. I was already alone throughout my childhood and I don't want you to leave me." And just the thought of it caused Kei to breakdown in front of Natsu who remained silent through it all.
Natsu then chuckled softly as he shook his head before he hugged the crying female in a tight hug. Kei then cried into his chest as Natsu smiled softly, patting the girl's back softly.
Natsu then looked at her face and quickly wiped all the tears away.
"Please, don't ever cry. I don't ever want you to be upset because of me. I promised you to make you happy and I intend to keep that promise." Natsu then placed his forehead on hers as he closed his eyes.
"You're the only girl I have my eyes on, Kei. Not my guild mates, not any random woman, but you. You're the only one who causes my heart to pound uncontrollably, you're the only one that makes my body feel like it is on fire despite being immune to it, you're the only one I'll give my heart too and you're the only woman I'll ever love." Natsu said as he placed his lips on hers, kissing her as passionate as he could muster into the kiss. He needed to reassure his love one and he'll do anything to make her happy again.
The two broke off the kiss and Kei wrapped her arms around Natsu's neck.
"Idiot, but you're my idiot, I guess." Kei said with a soft smile as Natsu was glad that she was finally back.
"Come on, I have something that you might want to see." Natsu said as he turned to his Dragon Prince mode. Natsu then carried her bridal style and Kei made sure she was comfortable before Natsu took off towards the sky.
"Where are we going at this hour?" Kei asked and Natsu smiled at her.
"Don't worry, we're almost there." Natsu said and indeed after a few minutes, he stopped above the centre of Crocus.
"So, are you going to drop me down or what?" Kei asked and Natsu shook his head.
"Hey, remember when you told me you wanted to see something magical?" Natsu asked and Kei nodded her head.
"Well, check this out." Natsu whispered to her as he extended his hands and suddenly the flames in his hand started to float upwards and suddenly it exploded, causing a spherical ball made up of stars to surround them.
Kei watched them in awe and even reached out for one and when she touched it, it exploded into millions of stardust.
"You always enjoyed stars, am I right?" Natsu asked her and Kei nodded her head.
"That's good, but that wasn't what I wanted to show you. It's this…." Natsu then pulled his hand back and the stars followed it.
Natsu then punched the air and with that, the stars surrounding them immediately shot out at many different directions, making it seem like multiple shooting stars in the sky.
Kei was speechless at what Natsu did, she understood how powerful and strong he was, but to be able to create shooting stars of his own? It made her wonder how he was able to do it? But for now, she would just enjoy it.
"So, how'd you like the show?" Natsu asked and Kei responded the only way she knew how, by kissing him passionately.
Natsu almost lost balance but he quickly gained momentum and kissed her back just as passionate, smiling internally at what he did.
If everyone were to look outside at that moment, everyone would be shocked to see shooting stars in the sky and a crimson star right in the centre of town, but it actually wasn't a star.
It was merely a Dragon Prince and his beloved mate, holding each other passionately in the night sky.
