"When you're old enough, we'll share a drink together on your birthday, Nasutei." So her Grandfather had promised her, once upon a time... But not all promises were made to be kept.

"Ryo-kun… How old are you, again?" she asked faintly, because if this kid was even ten, she would eat her own jacket. Or, a look into an universe where the Samurai Troopers are... a little younger than expected when Arago and his Masho come knocking. Poor Nasutei is in for a wild ride, and she may not be the only one.

Well, Shuten had been surprised, certainly, but he had looked very grateful for the offer of taking shelter with Nasutei and Jun, following Nasutei home with heartfelt words of thank and praises for her kindness. So why, Nasutei thought with growing frustration, was the man refusing to come back inside to sleep one more night, damnit!

"Well, well, well," Anubisu muttered as he watched a couple of Youja drag Rekka no Ryo into a courtyard, a furious Shuten following them with one of the most thunderous expression the Yami Masho had seen on the redhead's face in nearly a hundred years. "What do we have here?" (Or, Ryo is a prisoner, Shuten has a whip, and Anubisu feels responsible in the aftermath...)

It's… different, bathing with the other Masho. Not quite relaxing, but all three realize they aren't as badly on edge as they thought they'd be. (They won't say, 'it feels RIGHT', but they all think it for a fleeting second.) They blame it on the exhaustion.

In front of the caves of Akiyoshido, Byakuen isn't the only one to sense something is wrong, even before the tiger starts to growl... Or, Ryo has grown up surrounded by the nature. He notices things, too.

Jun is just a little kid, even if he'd like to think he has matured a lot ever since he got separated from his parents, but still… He's eight. There are a lot of things he doesn't know how to do. But Ryo, Seiji, Shin, Shuu, Touma-niisan – and Nasutei-neechan and even Byakuen? They notice, and they do what they can, whenever they can, to keep Jun's mind and hands busy...

The ancient has a warning for the bearers of the armors. It will be smart to listen and learn.

Cye's having trouble sleeping through the night after the first battle with Talpa. Everyone is worried about him since he's not sleeping very well but he won't ask for help.

A noir inspired story. It was cold, dark, and rainy, another typical day in the city. I thought today was going to be different. Better. Boy, was I wrong? Dead wrong. I should have known better than to take the case. But what else could I have done? I needed the money. Plus, the dame was in trouble. Some might say I have a hero complex.
