Chapter 265 Small Questions Before Class
This lunch didn't last long.
After going through a series of mishaps, it's difficult for the young wizards to concentrate on the dishes.
Most students discussing leaks, like the Weasley twins, have a somber expression, pondering on how to deal with the university dean's question soon. And the younger wizards remembered the wonderful stories they heard before, thinking about when they would try to imitate them.
As for Elena, who should have been the center of attention this time, she wasn't as conspicuous this time, no matter who asked, she only had a standard response like a repeater:
"I got lost after leaving the Potions Classroom. I didn't know how I got to the big dog. After a short and friendly conversation, the cute big dog led me to the auditorium."
Compared to those stranger adventures that add a lot of rhetoric and psychological descriptions, Elena getting lost is too common, so most young wizards soon lost interest after getting answers. They want to hear some exciting stories rather than a simple orientation trip.
Of course, it might be enough to repeat Ji Ji's words to deceive others, but if they want to deceive Hannah and Hermione, it's naive. With the strand of hair hanging over the head of the small white-haired bun, the two might assume that Elena wasn't telling the truth.
Although not necessarily lying, at least most of the facts are concealed.
Hermione and Hannah looked at each other and confirmed each other's assumptions with a glance, then gazed thoughtfully at the white-haired sweets they thought they had succeeded in, and tacitly did not continue questioning.
In the afternoon, there's a Herbology class for Gryffindor and Hufflepuff students, and tonight there's a History of Magic class with Professor Binns, also for the small lion and the small badger, so Hermione and Hannah have plenty of time to "torment" a white-haired dumpling who isn't telling the truth in private.
"Hannah, Elena, and I will return to Gryffindor Tower at noon today."
Upon leaving the auditorium, Hermione naturally took Elena's hand and looked at Hannah, saying with a smile, "Your books are still in the Gryffindor Common Room. Shall we see you at the castle gate?"
Oops, is it a field of shame again?!
Elena's left hand fell on Hermione's soft little hand, and she thought sadly, instinctively looking at Hannah.
Unlike other years, first-year students can't go directly outdoors for classes. They must first gather at the main entrance of Hogwarts, and then Professor Sprout will lead the young wizards to the greenhouse behind the castle for the Herbology class.
Although this is the first Herbology class of this semester, the corresponding precautions and regulations have been explained to all the young wizards during the weekend to ensure the smooth progress of the course.
However, this doesn't make sense to Elena. Regardless of whether it's prearranged, the location of the castle gate and the greenhouse is exactly the same for her. The only difference is who will guide her.
"Well, yes, then please."
Unexpectedly, Hannah nodded with a smile and replied softly.
"Then, as we discussed before, I'll wait until after the History of Magic class tonight to take Elena back to the dormitory to sleep. After all, the first class tomorrow morning is also a Herbology class."
Huh?!
Elena blinked, her eyes wandering between the two friends, having an ominous premonition.
It seems that... the Iron Girl and the Little Badger have completed a great deal of unspeakable strategic cooperation in private.
This is not good. Obviously, it's an equal trio, why did the sympathy of the two increase so quickly?!
...
Two o'clock in the afternoon.
Elena, Hermione, and Hannah gathered punctually at the castle gate, led by Professor Sprout. They exited the castle, crossed an orchard to the greenhouse behind Hogwarts Castle.
Passing through the fields, Elena noticed many strange phenomena, such as the phenomenon of planting against the season for cabbage and potatoes, most importantly, they are now ripe at the same time.
Obviously, among Hogwarts, many professors are not just limited to teaching.
Just as Professor Snape will be responsible for setting up the daily pharmacy, Professor Flivus will take care of the maintenance and repair of the magical facilities of the castle. As a herbologist, this large orchard is naturally handled by Professor Sprout.
If even Hagrid knows how to use magic, giving a little help to his pumpkin. It doesn't make sense to say that Professor Sprout would really be like a non-magic farmer, tilling the vegetable fields that sustain part of Hogwarts' food supply, **** with a hoe.
Magical vegetable fields?
Elena pondered over the lush plants.
I have to say that compared to pure destructive power, the role of magic in daily life is seriously underestimated and neglected by people, except that if you want to trigger a wave, you need more people, and more regulated channels are enough, and the magnitude of a single person's spell release alone is not enough.
Speaking of which, if I remember correctly, the dying bear in the east soon...
"Well, here we are."
Professor Sprout's voice came from the front, interrupting Elena's thoughts.
As the Head of Hufflepuff House, the sturdy Professor Sprout may be the most approachable professor, with a patched hat over her flowing hair, and her clothes always being stained with a lot of dirt.
"Hogwarts has several greenhouses with a variety of magical plants, which are interesting but also dangerous. I hope you can follow my instructions after entering the greenhouse, and not touch the precise plants, even if they look like a wild herb."
Professor Sprout stood at the greenhouse door, looking at the excited and curious young wizards in front of her, and said softly.
"Of course, our teaching content this year will only involve the first greenhouse. And due to the additional requirements of Professor Dumbledore, in addition to studying magical plants, we will also add some non-magical plants to this year's curriculum. Knowledge of identification, for example, for the cultivation of some common plants and understanding of some common fungi..."
"First of all, before we start the class, I need to ask you a question."
As he said that, Professor Sprout pulled a handful of colorful mushrooms from the cloth bag around her waist and displayed them in front of the young wizards.
"These were collected in the Forbidden Forest this morning. Which of these mushrooms in my hand are edible and which are not?"
