However, Gamabunta was pushed back when Tamamo flicked her blade upward, however, that isn't what shocked him.
"Sōryūsen!" Tamamo shouted, her left hand gripping her katana's sheath, which she used to strike Gamabunta across the chest.
Gamabunta staggered, gripping his chest as breathing was now a chore.
'Such strength…' He thought as he sidestepped Tamamo's follow up attack, but countering by leg-swiping her, sending Tamamo face first into the dirt. 'But…'
The glint in her eyes, the moment just before her attack landed.
Gamabunta had caught eyes with Tamamo for a brief second, but in that second he had seen a small child.
One who didn't want to be here.
One who didn't want to hurt him.
One who didn't want to kill.
But felt like they had no choice but to do so.
'This isn't right.' Gamabunta thought as Tamamo got up, turning to face him again. 'She shouldn't be here.'
"You should go home, child." Bunta stated as Tamamo held her sword before her. "You have no place in these affairs."
"Of course I do." Tamamo shouted, irritated that Gamabunta was completely relaxed. "You attacked and captured my mother!"
"A mother who willingly sends her child into battle is not worthy of being a mother." Gamabunta said as he prepared, seeing Tamamo was not going to back down. "Surely, you know this."
Tamamo grit her teeth, her grip on her sword tightening.
"You know NOTHING about me!" She shouted, lunging forward.
Their blades clashed.
Gamabunta saw Tamamo's uncertainty, he felt it in how the strength she had in her blade was wavering.
"YOU don't know what it is like to suffer at the hands of someone who should love you, regardless!" Tamamo continued, jumping up to kick Gamabunta, who took the hit, taking the opportunity to grab her leg, using her momentum to slam Tamamo back into the ground.
"TAMAMO!" Karen screamed, seeing the teen make an indention in the ground.
Karen attempted to run to Tamamo's side, only to be stopped by Gamahiro.
"Leaving so soon?" Gamahiro asked, discarding his swords and proceeding to get close.
Karen endured several arm strikes from the toad, nearly vomiting when Gamahiro's hand speared itself into her stomach.
"KAREN!" Tamamo and Arnold screamed, seeing the Cat Sinner collapse.
Their worry increased when Karen pulled out a hand grenade.
"OH, FUCK!" Gamahiro shouted as Karen pulled the pin with her mouth, and tossed it.
However, Gamaken threw his shield.
It barely covered Gamahiro completely before the grenade exploded, sending the shield into the toad and sending Karen backwards.
"FUCK, THAT HURTS!" Karen shouted as she hit the truck as some of her larger weapons clattered to the ground, having been damaged enough to fall off of her. "Damn, some of my guns…"
"You crazy bitch…" Gamahiro called out as he pushed the broken shield off of him. "You trying to kill yourself along with me?"
"No…" Karen gasped out as the two of them got to their feet. "Because, unlike you…" She grabbed an uzi. "I have someone waiting for me."
Gamahiro's eyes narrowed.
Not in anger, but in understanding.
"Well," he kicked one of his swords up, catching it. "Let's continue this dance."
Karen unloaded her entire clip, making Gamahiro evade.
Arnold blocked Gamaken's sasumata, his arms beginning to bruise and swell.
'This guy is excellently precise.' Arnold thought as he pushed back. 'His strength is amazing, but…'
Getting into Gamaken's personal space, Arnold unloaded a barrage of punches, making the toad grunt as he took them.
"Such… ungraceful… strikes…" Ken coughed out, blood seeping through his lips.
His organs were shaken, and possibly bruised and bleeding from how hard Arnold punched him.
"I think I am ungracefully defeated…" Gamaken groaned as he slumped to his knees.
"I'd love to say we'd be friends if circumstances were different…" Arnold replied weakly, holding up his arms, which were now visibly bruising. "But our bosses would never allow it."
Gamaken accepted this, before Arnold's fist struck him, knocking him out.
Arnold gasped as he pulled his hand back, only to grunt in irritation as he heard Kiba and Hinata scream for help.
'I'd take Stark as back up over these dumbasses.' Arnold thought as he ran into the fray. 'At least the coke-head could defend himself!'
Sloth Ring, Slug Cartel's Recovery Facility…
"Hmmm…" Gamatatsu hummed as he smiled, his cheeks puffed even more as he enjoyed his meal.
"Man, Aunt Katsuyu," Gamakichi exclaimed, a bright smile as he held up some food. "You got Granny Shima's cooking perfectly."
Katsuyu smiled.
"I'm happy. Granny Shima was like a mother to me when I lost mine…"
The happiness the two toads had soured visibly, which Katsuyu noticed.

Gamakichi put his hand on her hand.
"No worries, it was an accident." He replied calmly. "You're intent was not malicious."
"Yeah, you were just making a comparison." Gamatatsu added. "So, how did you get Granny to teach you any cooking? She refused to teach us…"
Gamakichi snorted.
"Ain't that the true. For real, Aunt Katsuyu, Granny forbade us from EVER using the kitchen while she and Old man Fukasaku were in charge before dad took over." Gamakichi laughed, smacking Gamatatsu's shoulder lightly. "We begged and begged, but even dad forbade us."
The two young toads laughed at the memories they shared.
"well, I begged and begged, and eventually, Lady Shima gave in." Katsuyu answered. "Nothing more than that."
"Ah, really?" Gamatatsu whimpered. "Dad always said you were a good leader, so why did you have to beg?"
"Because I know when to be respectful." Katsuyu pointed a fork at the two toads. "Brute force and strength can get you far, but knowing when you're out matched, is when true leadership shines."
"How so?" Gamakichi asked curiously.
He was the next leader if anything happened to his dad, so this was interesting to him.
"Because, sacrificing your followers doesn't prove you're a leader. It shows your selfishness, ignorance, or lack of experience." Katsuyu explained, looking at Kichi. "Example: What if the enemy you are facing is Adam of Heaven? Would you retreat or face him?"
Gamatatsu looked at his brother.
He didn't have an answer.
Gamakichi was thinking.
"I believe I'd retreat. I know I am nowhere near the level of fighting an enemy on Adam's level." Gamakichi replied.
Katsuyu nodded.
"Exactly. You'd pick your life and the lives of your comrades. Just like Gamabunta."
"But dad just kidnapped a Marquis and sent me here." Kichi pointed out. "So, this is an example of knowing when you are outmatched?"
"In a sense, yes. But I do believe this is just Bunta being worried for his son." Katsuyu said, a smile adorning her slimy face. "Don't try to find reason for someone's love."
Greed Ring, Mt. Myōboku…
"Hiten Mitsurugi-ryū…" Tamamo called out as she leaped into the air, blade above her head as she glared at Gamabunta. "Ryūtsuisen!"
With gravity fueling her momentum, Tamamo swung downward, striking Gamabunta, who cried out as blood sprayed from his flesh.
"He dodged…" Tamamo growled as she saw that Gamabunta was still alive. "I was aiming to take your head…"
"Do you really want to kill me for that woman?" Gamabunta asked, making Tamamo tilt her head. "I can see it… every time we clash blades."
"See what?" Tamamo demanded.
"I see your soul." Gamabunta answered, touching his wound, applying simple healing magic he knew to stem the bleeding. "You don't want to do this… you know it is wrong."
Tamamo flinched.
Her body felt hot, for a moment, and then instantly cold as her hands became numb.
"She abuses you." Gamabunta continued.
"Shut up."
"She uses you as a weapon."
"Be quiet."
"And she…" Gamabunta was disrupted, blocking/swiping Tamamo's blade away.
A fire was in her eyes, but one that blinded her to his counter, gasping when his knee hit her ribs, cracking slightly.
Tamamo hit the building, dropping her sword.
Gamabunta kicked the weapon out of her reach as Tamamo tried to stand, coughing blood.
"Just stop." Bunta said in a much softer tone. "You don't need to fight for Kurama. If you have anyone that can take care of you, you can go to them."
Tamamo's vision blurred as she looked at Gamabunta.
Gamabunta knelt, offering her his hand.
But she smacked it away, forcing herself to stand on her own as she drew her wakizashi.
"You still choose to fight?"
"You don't… you don't…" Tamamo mumbled, her left hand gripping her head, right where her bow was, which was covering her missing ear. "You don't understand…"
Flashback…
Tamamo was curled in the corner, gripping her head as blood seeped from the location her left ear should be.
Pain piercing her head as she cried, looking upward toward her mother.
Kurama's face was snarling at Tamamo with an enraged scowl.
Within her teeth… was Tamamo's ear.
"YOU STUPID, LITTLE GIRL!" Kurama shouted, spitting the ear out of her mouth and onto the ground.
She raised her arm and slapped Tamamo across the face.
"HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME!" Kurama shouted, picking Tamamo up before slamming her into her desk, holding Tamamo's collar with both hands. "HOW DARE YOU HURT ME IN SUCH A MANNER!"
Flashback End…
Gamabunta felt the confliction.
He could see it in Tamamo's eyes.
"Since you are refusing…" he said in a pained tone. "Then I guess I'll settle this."
Tamamo weakly held up her wakizashi, dropping into a partial crouch, both knees bent, left arm drawn back and right arm extended forward; she grasped the end-cap part of her sword's grip with her left hand and rests the tips of the fingers of her right hand, placing her thumb on the blade near the tip of her blade.
'She knows another sword style…' Bunta thought as he prepared his next attack.
"Gatotsu Issiki!"
Tamamo thrust forward, intending to kill Gamabunta… only for his cheeks to swell once again.
Instead of water, a yellow-brown liquid spraying from his mouth in a scattering style, spreading across the ground.
The moment Tamamo's feet touched it, she slipped, hit the ground, and slid across the ground, stopping at Gamabunta's feet, her short sword not in hand.
"This is over." Gamabunta stated sternly as Tamamo tried to stand, but unable to. "That's Toad Oil. You won't be able to stand until it dries."
"TAMAMO!"
Karen ran toward Gamabunta, intending to shoot him in the back, only for Gamahiro's sword to slash her leg, making her collapse.
"You forgot and let your guard down." The toad said, not particularly happy with this as he destroyed her gun.
"TAMA, KAREN!" Arnold yelled as he smashed two toads into each other.
He was able to balance the odds while fighting along side Kiba and Hinata, but now he was swarmed by the other toads, unable to break through as Gamabunta held his sword out.
"Do you yield?" Gamabunta asked as he stared down at the fox child who continued struggling to stand.
"Never…" Tamamo said as she looked up at Gamabunta.
There was not fear in her eyes.
Gamabunta hesitated with what he had seen.
It was acceptance.
'Death is preferable to the life under Kurama.' He thought, swallowing the lump in his throat.
"So be it, Tamamo." Gamabunta replied, raising his arm.
"TAMAMO, YOU GOTTA RUN!" Karen screamed trying to grab another gun, but had it kicked out of her hands by Gamahiro.

Naruto and Fuu crunched popcorn in their mouths as they leaned forward.
Andromeda was sleeping in Naruto's arm as the two adults watched a horror movie.

"Boo…" Fuu sounded as she paused the movie, getting up with the bowl to make more popcorn.

Bee sat on her balcony, wearing a robe as she smoked, exhaling the element into the air.
She felt melancholic.
'Next time…' She thought as she lifted the cigarette back to her mouth. 'I'll get Naruto, Loona, Verosika, Vortex, AND Jayjay~'

"We're home~" Blitz announced as he, Millie, and Moxxie entered the living room.

"Pulp Fiction." Fuu and Naruto said in unison as they didn't look away from the Tv.
"Oh, that's a good one." Millie said as she jumped onto the couch, snuggling between her husband and son.
"I'll go shower and hit the hay." Blitz said.

Blitz's eye twitched.

"SHHHHHHHHHH!" All four couch potatoes shushed at the same time.

He walked off, still flipping them off before turning around to go relax in the bath.

The sounds of someone running toward her was ignored by Tamamo as she closed her eyes.

Tamamo's head jerked upward, eyes open to see someone standing between her and Gamabunta, their arm covered in earthy sand, with Bunta's blade digging half way through it.
"I'm not important…" this person said as they moved their arm, taking Gamabunta's blade with it as sand formed on his opposite arm. "But I am stopping someone from murdering a little girl."
With a grunt, the savior punched Gamabunta, the sand arm extending, lodging him into the wall of his work place.
"Who are you?" Tamamo asked as the setting suns light faded into darkness as the street lamps turned on.
The man turned, revealing his red hair and a tattoo above his left eye.
"The name's Gaara."
