IndKor: Different Charms

Raj stared at his wrist, as he did every morning before he left. The first words that his soulmate would say to him.

Is this what colour is like?

Based on the words, Raj had to conclude that his soulmate's charm was different than his own. Specifically, to see in monochrome until they were to meet. Raj knew that different charms existed, and it was different between soulmates. But he supposed that the other would realise it first, even if they didn't speak.

Shaking his head, he checked to make sure that he had everything before he left his apartment.

Yong Soo glanced around the park, utterly bored. He knew that it was good to get some fresh air, and that the park was a good place for a stroll, but it was boring. He suspected that it might have been better if he could see the colours of the flowers. He'd heard that they were meant to be vibrant and varied, but he could never tell.

He sighed, before looking ahead, seeing a man sitting on a bench. The man was reading a book, but looked up when he heard Yong Soo approach, and gave a friendly nod, before returning to his book. Yong Soo idly nodded back, but turned away.

And stopped.

In his peripheral vision, he could see something completely different. He'd never seen something like that before, and he followed it with his gaze, before seeing that the man was different. He was… he wasn't like Yong Soo was used to. And he could see that everything in his field of vision was changing. It was as though someone was breathing life into his sight.

The realisation hit him, and he turned back to the man, who was looking up with a curious and wary expression.

"Is this what colour is like?" Yong Soo asked.

The man appeared startled, and he quickly pushed up his sleeve. Yong Soo could see some writing, and when he stepped closer, he saw the sentence that he had just uttered.

He and the man stared at each other, utterly bewildered. Yong Soo was the one to smile first, and he sat down next to the man, who returned the smile.

"I guess I should say it's nice to meet you," the man said. "I'm Raj."

"I'm Yong Soo," he introduced. "What are the chances?"

"I was asking myself that very same question."

The prompt is: 'Imagine your OTP have different soulmate charms. For example: Person A has the first thing Person B will say to them, while Person B sees the world in monochrome until they meet their soulmate.'

I'm counting the friendly nod as a meeting. Basically, it's more than just seeing each other, it's acknowledging each other.
