Earth Kingdom: Desert Village
Team Uchiha Avatar arrived at an Earth Kingdom village. They were still tracking Aiwei as Naga stopped to sniff the ground.
"Aiwei has definitely been through here." Korra pet her partner. "Nice tracking, girl."
"Let's ask around." Mako declared. "Perhaps someone has seen him."
They entered a tavern, resulting in people glancing at them.
"Hey, look." Bolin spotted a poster of his face on the wall. "It's a mover poster of me. Someone's a big Nuktuk fan. I should go say hello."
"It's not a mover poster." Sasuke stopped him. "It is a wanted poster."
There was a poster for each of them.
"Wanted by Her Majesty, the Earth Queen, for crimes against the Earth Kingdom." Mako read the posters.
"This must be because of those Airbenders we rescued." Asami reasoned.
"While that is likely, I don't think any of them care about the reason." Sasuke pointed out the patrons, who were glaring at them and ready to draw their weapons. "Let's get out of here."
The group was quick to leave.
Zaofu: Courtyard
Su was talking to a couple of her guards when Lin, Utakata, and Deidara arrived. The blond bomber had discarded his Akatsuki cloak and was sticking with the gray attire he had on underneath for the time being.
"Where's everyone?" Lin asked. "We've been waiting to leave for half an hour."
"Good morning to you too, Lin." Su greeted. "Don't get mad, Korra and Sasuke arefine. I'm just waiting to hear if they've tracked down Aiwei."
That angered the three of them, though the former Akatsuki member felt that way for a different reason from the other two.
"I thought we had an understanding." Deidara voiced.
"Sasuke Uchiha also wanted me to let you know if it comes to it, he'll bring Itachi bound to you for the final blow." Su informed.
"Alright, I'm fine with that now." Deidara voiced, his anger subsiding.
"Doesn't matter because we're still going to look for them." Utakata declared.
"Darn right we are." Lin glared at her sister. "I can't believe you'd stab me in the back like this after I thought we were on the same page."
"Oh, don't be over dramatic." Su retorted. "You can't control their every move."
"It's not about control." Utakata retorted. "You put your hurt feelings over their safety." He walked off while ensuring Deidara followed. "Come on Lin, we're leaving now."
Earth Kingdom
Naga arrived at a slope and started sniffing the ground near some rocks.
"Naga found something." Korra declared as she and Sasuke got off.
The Avatar then bent a giant boulder to reveal a jeep hidden behind a small clearing.
"That must be the jeep Aiwei used to escape." Asami noted.
Naga nudged against the Avatar, wanting a reward. "Oh, sorry. I forgot to bring treats."
"I got it." Sasuke took out three treats and threw them at Naga, who caught them. "Good girl."
The Uchiha was then tackled to the ground by the polar bear-dog and licked in the face, making Korra chuckle. Asami, Mako, and Bolin walked up to the vehicle to examine it.
"Aiwei can't be far." Asami said.
"He must be somewhere around here." Mako eyed the nearby village. "Misty Palms Oasis. Bolin and I will investigate it to see if he's held up there."
"No, you four should stay back while I head in solo." Sasuke stated.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Bolin asked.
"It's the best idea when you consider I can do this…" Sasuke wove through hand signs. "Transformation Jutsu!" Sasuke took on the appearance of Kakashi, even speaking with his voice. "Kakashi Hatake isn't wanted."
"Can I…" Hawk began.
"No, you're staying here." Sasuke interrupted, already knowing where this was going. "I don't want to hear any begging from that beak of yours."
"Okay…" Hawk said downcast.
"Be careful Sasuke." Korra stated, a tad concerned.
Sasuke nodded before departing.
Misty Palms Oasis
Sasuke, transformed into Kakashi, arrived at Misty Palms Oasis. He could see spirits perched on rooftops and telephone lines. As he moved down the street, the Uchiha saw the icy spring with three spirits lounging on it. He then watched a man shoving a kiwi bird spirit out of the tavern.
"Shoo! Human customers only!"
"He should know something." Sasuke approached. "Hey, I'm looking for a man about sixty, balding, wears glasses, and a green robe."
"Yeah, sure. Sounds like a guy who came in last night. I told him I had the best drinks in the Earth Kingdom, and he called me a liar."
"Sounds like him." Sasuke noted. "Where is he now?"
"I don't know, but he was right. My drinks are terrible."
The tavern owner then sadly walked into the tavern leaving Sasuke with only one option. He stealthily took to the rooftops and began his search.
Earth Kingdom
Back outside town, Korra was sitting on a boulder overlooking the town, Mako & Asami were looking over Aiwei's jeep, and Bolin was petting Naga. The Earthbender stopped as he noticed the Avatar's present mood, which led to him joining her.
"Hey, are you okay?" Bolin asked.
"I'm just frustrated." The Avatar sighed. "What does Zaheer want with me? What's his plan? Also, why is this leader of the Akatsuki after Sasuke? I know he wants the people he sent to assess him, but Sasuke's over here now. None of that even scratches Orochimaru."
"Yeah, it's a lot to handle." Bolin gave a small smile. "While Team Uchiha Avatar may not have handled this much in such a short time span, we've come such a long way from the failures and successes we've found in the past. I think we can handle this just as we have up to this point."
Korra smiled at the reassurance from the Earthbender.
"Hey, I think I found a clue." Asami called out, having reached into the glove compartment where she found a note.
Everyone gathered around her as Korra took the note. "'Xai Bau's Grove, sundown'. This must be where and when Aiwei's going to meet Zaheer!"
Mako took out an Earth Kingdom map and started searching. "Xai Bau's Grove, where are you?"
"Did you say Xai Bau's Grove!" Hawk declared, drawing their attention. "I know where it is! I know! I know!"
"You really know where this place is?" Bolin asked.
"Yeah, it's within the Spirit World." Hawk answered excitedly. "I can guide Korra there."
"Hold on." Mako stated. "Aiwei won't be there until sundown, so let's wait until Sasuke potentially returns with his physical location. We can stake him out until the time is right. Korra can then enter the Spirit World and assumedly find Aiwei with Zaheer. She could learn a lot."
"Alright, sounds like a plan." Korra stated.
Misty Palm's Oasis
Sasuke, still transformed to look like Kakashi, came to a stop on a rooftop as he spotted Aiwei walking along the road while eating from a box of food. "Found you."
He followed Aiwei until the man entered a room in what looked like an inn. Sasuke lept down and entered the main part of the inn where he found an elderly woman at the counter.
"Good afternoon." Sasuke stated. "I'd like a room on the ground floor, the one across from 102. I've heard good things about it."
The innkeeper shrugged. "If you got the money for it, it's yours."
Earth Kingdom
Sasuke returned to the others, dispelling his transformation before speaking. "I found Aiwei at the Misty Palm Inn and secured a room across from his own."
"We found something too." Mako informed. "Aiwei is going to meet Zaheer within Xai Bau's Grove, which is within the Spirit World, at sundown."
"Hawk let us know that bit of information." Korra pointed out. "Come around sundown, he'll follow me into the Spirit World, and we'll be heading there to get some answers."
"Alright." Sasuke nodded. "We have hours until sundown, but we should still get back to keep an eye on him."
Misty Palm Inn
Team Uchiha Avatar were in the room, which was quite cramped.
"Man, this stinks." Bolin groaned before Naga's tail hit his face.
Sasuke, Korra, and Mako were looking out the window, and they saw Aiwei peeking out from his own window.
"There he is." Korra said.
"Now, we wait." Sasuke said.
"I thought stakeouts were supposed to be exciting." Bolin complained. "This isn't, at all!" He looked in the highest bedside table drawer. "I wonder if there are any snacks." It had a couple of books while the next contained a Pai Sho board. "A Pai Sho board! Mako, you want to play?"
"Kind of busy here." Mako replied.
"I'll play." Asami offered.
"Ooh, well, no offense." Bolin stated. "I learned street Pai Sho from Shady Shin, and I'm pretty good. Wouldn't really be a fair game."
"So? I learned to play from my dad, you know the diabolical genius." Asami smirked. "I'll destroy you."
"Well, looks like we got ourselves a Pai-Shodown." Bolin declared while setting up the board. "Ladies first." They started exchanging moves, but as it was Asami's turn, she stopped to think of a move. "I don't want to rush you, but let's speed things up a bit."
"Why?" Asami asked. "This game's all about slow, methodical strategy."
"No, it's not." Bolin returned. "This is a fast-paced, edge of your seat game of chance. Don't think, just go."
"I don't know what Shady Shin taught you, but that's not real Pai Sho." Asami said.
"Really? Let's see what Mr. Rulebook has to say." Bolin looked through said rulebook. "The origins of Pai Sho date back over ten-thousand years. It is a game of both strategy and chance." He then realized what he read. "Wait, how can it be both?"
"Let me see." Asami took the rulebook. "There have been countless variations of Pai Sho through the centuries. Each culture has its own rules and variations of the game."
"That doesn't help at all." Bolin noted. "Korra, as the Avatar, you need to standardize these Pai Sho rules."
"Okay, I'll put it on my to-do list." Korra stated sarcastically. "It can go after bringing back the Air Nation, taking down a group that wants to kidnap me, taking down a group that's after Sasuke, and taking down a crazy ninja that wants Sasuke's body."
"That's cool. Whenever you get to it." Bolin said.
Passing Pai Sho Games…
"I win." Asami declared, making the winning move.
"What!? Ugh, that was just a fluke." Bolin declared. "Best two out of three." The two kept playing many times, with Asami always winning. "Oh, c'mon! Best four out of seven…Eight out of fifteen…Seventeen out of thirty-three." Bolin was finally close to winning. "Haha! Looks like I got you on the ropes this time."
"I can't believe it." Asami stated. "You might actually win this time."
Pabu lept off Naga and onto the board, scattering the pieces.
"No! Pabu! Why?!" Bolin lamented.
Sundown
At sundown, Sasuke made a quick trip over to the opposing room. After managing to pick the lock and have a look in, he saw Aiwei sitting on his bed in a meditative position. He then made his way back to the room and brought everyone over.
"He's out cold." Sasuke confirmed. "I think it's time. Hawk?"
"I'll be there waiting for her." Hawk replied before vanishing.
"Alright, I'm going after him." Korra stated, sitting on the bed across from Aiwei and taking a meditative position.
"In the meantime, we'll watch kkep in case he wakes up." Mako declared.
Korra nodded before mediating.
Spirit World: Xai Bau's Grove
Korra was now in the Spirit World with Hawk. "Is this Xai Bau's Grove?"
"Yes!" Hawk declared.
Korra looked around before peeking out from behind a tree. She could now see Aiwei standing on a nearby hill in front of another tree.
At that exact moment, Zaheer materialized across from him. "What happened back at Zaofu? You told me we wouldn't have any problems getting the Avatar while the Akatsuki would take that Uchiha. Because of you, we've been compromised."
"No, I ensured not to leave evidence." Aiwei responded.
"Where is your body now?" Zaheer asked.
"At Misty Palms Inn." Aiwei answered. "There is no need to worry for I was not followed."
"You left a loose end." Zaheer returned.
"I assure you nobody knows anything about us." Aiwei voiced.
"No, YOU are the loose end." Zaheer declared, grabbing Aiwei's robe.
"Zaheer!" Korra called, getting the criminal's attention.
Zaheer disappeared with Aiwei and teleported to a cliff above the Fog of Lost Souls. The Airbender then threw him in before teleporting back to the tree and meeting with Korra.
"It seems Aiwei was mistaken." Zaheer noted. "He was followed."
"That's right." Korra retorted. "We knew he'd lead us to you. Now, what'd you do to him?"
"He'll be spending eternity in the Fog of Lost Souls, which just leaves the two of us." Zaheer declared while smirking.
Misty Palm Inn
Mako, Bolin, and Asami were watching Korra's body while Sasuke kept looking outward.
He noticed a small white snake slither by. "What?"
"What's wrong?" Mako asked.
"A snake, and it's not a spirit." Sasuke had an inkling of what this was. "I need to check on something personally, it might be a threat. Mako, take over at the door."
"Sasuke?" Asami asked.
"Where are you going?" Bolin added.
"I just need to go." Sasuke stated.
"Alright, just be careful." Mako stated. "If we hear any sounds of combat, I'll come running to aid you."
Sasuke nodded before running out.
Earth Kingdom
Sasuke chased after the white snake, outside the city and to a rocky hill. Once at the top, he took out a kunai and nailed the snake with it.
I figured as much." Sasuke turned to see Orochimaru and Kabuto were behind him. "Only you would send a snake for me."
"Clever boy." Orochimaru said while sticking his tongue out.
"You're really this obsessed with my body?" Sasuke asked. "You had the Dai Li capture me before coming to Zaofu and attempting to do it yourself. Now, you've lured me from Korra. What's it going to take to make you realize I won't accept that anymore?"
"Relax." Orochimaru held up his hands. "I'm not here for a fight, promise. Consider this an invitation to meet with me. You see, when I heard of your endeavors with the Avatar, stopping an anti-bending revolution and preventing dark spirits from destroying humanity, I was impressed.
You've honed your skills farther than I ever imagined, and all under the tutelage of a Jinchuriki. Not to mention your feats during that battle back at Zaofu. Both in the battle and turning Deidara to your side. Ah, it's always the quiet ones, isn't it?"
"What're you getting at?" Sasuke asked.
"Tell me, what do you see in the Avatar?" Orochimaru asked. "Why did you decide to stay in this country full of Benders?"
"Why does that matter to you?" Sasuke asked.
"It's because the history between Benders and Shinobi is one of strife." Orochimaru replied.
Xai Bau's Grove
Zaheer took a step forward.
"Don't move, Zaheer!" Korra demanded. "You're going to give me answers!"
"There's no need for aggression." The Airbender took a seat. "Neither of us have our Bending, and I'm not going anywhere. I'll answer whatever questions you have. You deserve that much. What would you like to know?"
"First off, who are you people, and why do you keep trying to kidnap me?" Korra asked.
"We are part of secret society, dedicated to restoring freedom to the world." Zaheer replied. "We are the Red Lotus."
"Red Lotus?" Korra asked. "Are you related to the White Lotus?"
"We are what the White Lotus was meant to be, but after the Hundred Year War, the White Lotus lost its true purpose." Zaheer explained. "Its members came out of hiding and openly served the Avatar. They became nothing but glorified bodyguards who serve corrupt nations. A great man named Xai Bau broke from the White Lotus and began his sown society."
"That's a great story, but it doesn't explain why you tried to take me away when I was a kid." Korra declared.
"That was Unalaq's idea." Zaheer replied.
Korra was shocked. "My uncle was part of the Red Lotus?"
Cave: Night…
The Red Lotus and Akatsuki werehiding out with Zaheer's body.
"Avatar Korra, Misty Palm Inn, find her." Zaheer managed while stillmeditating.
"You two go." P'Li declared to her remaining companions. "I'll stay and make sure Zaheer's body is safe."
Ming-Hua and Ghazan nodded.
"Kisame, Sasori, join them." Itachi ordered. "Bring Sasuke to me."
"I knew you were going to say that." Sasori stated.
"If Orochimaru and Deidara are there, this could be fun." Kisame voiced.
Earth Kingdom
"What do you mean by the history between Shinobi and Benders being strife?" Sasuke asked. "Indra had the skills of a Shinobi, yet he and Wan got along just fine. Obviously, Korra and I are like siblings."
"Poor Sasuke." Orochimaru chuckled. "There is tentative peace at times; however, history has shown hatred will always take root. I believe it was during the time of Kyoshi's reign as Avatar that war broke out between the two sides last. It always comes from the general opinion.
Most Shinobi saw Benders as pathetic and weak while they viewed us as arrogant and power hungry. Of course, the fact the war ended with both sides separating, rather than one coming out the clear winner, should show how wrong such assumptions are."
"If that's true, you were using the Dai Li as a means to an end." Sasuke said.
"I'm cultured enough to know the falsehoods of the prior statements." Orochimaru retorted. "That said, I was still using them."
"Now that you mention it, when dealing with Unalaq, he held a bitter hatred for all Shinobi." Sasuke stated. "He stated when I came to this country, the balance was 'ruined'. The fact my Konoha comrades were here made him that much more livid."
"Yes, that's so true." Orochimaru chuckled. "He wanted your head on a platter."
"That generalization is just stupid." Sasuke stated. "If there's anything history has taught me, it's that not all Benders and Shinobi could have hated each other during any time of strife. Right now, Utakata Sensei, me, and my comrades are proof of the same."
"What would happen if Korra or your other Bender friends betrayed you?" Orochimaru laughed. "Conversely, it will be you who betrays them?"
"It won't happen." Sasuke declared firmly. "We will never betray one another."
"Yet, you left Konoha in hopes of coming to me for power." Orochimaru reminded.
"After meeting Korra and spending all this time together, I feel like I have a new family who cares about me." Sasuke declared resolutely. "They want me to be happy, and this land has become my home."
"Time does strange things to people, Sasuke." Orochimaru retorted. "Not even you can
control it. It will only be a matter of time before you come to me and forget everything about your new family."
Xai Bau's Grove
"I met your uncle when I was a teenager." Zaheer informed. "We had both joined the Red Lotus, where we then learned about Raava, Vaatu, and how Avatar Wan foolishly severed them, disrupting the balance of the world forever."
"Avatar Wan wasn't foolish!" Korra defended. "He was trying to restore balance!"
"He closed the portals, severing humans from spirits." Zaheer retorted. "Even you realize the error in his ways."
"So, all along, you and my uncle planned to use me to open the portals and release Vaatu?" Korra questioned. "That's why you tried to take me when I was a kid?"
"Yes, and with the members of the Red Lotus as your elemental mentors, we could've taught you so much." Zaheer responded.
"Sounds like you were just trying to brainwash me, so I'd do whatever you wanted." Korra said.
"No, Korra." Zaheer shook his head. "All I wanted was to show the Avatar a better path for the world."
Misty Palm Inn
Mako was looking out the window when he saw Kisame, Sasori, Ming-Hua, and Ghazan arriving. "Uh, I don't know how, but Water Arm Lady, Lava Guy, and two people from the Akatsuki found us."
"How?" Asami asked.
"I just said I don't know." Mako retorted.
"Korra, wake up!" Bolin tried while frantically shaking the Avatar's body.
"What do we do?" Asami asked.
"Get Korra out of here." Mako took the Avatar's body and placed her on Naga. "Bolin and I will hold them off."
As the Akatsuki and Red Lotus members made their way for the first door, they saw another burst open. Naga ran off with Asami riding her while taking Korra's body."
The Avatar!" Ming-Hua called out.
"But where's the brat?" Sasori asked.
Ming-Hua fired off ice shards while Sasori sent out his Chakra Threads; however, Naga ran into an alleyway, managing to avoid both. The four started to chase them, but Bolin Earthbent a wall up to block them before Mako bent fire at Ming-Hua, who blocked with her water arms.
"Get out of my sight, filthy Bender!" Sasori yelled.
"Shut up!" Mako yelled back, throwing fire blasts.
Kisame wove through hand signs. "Water Shark Bomb Jutsu!"
The water and fire collided to kick up steam before Bolin Earthbent at the four opposing people. Ghazan turned that right around with his Lavabending, forcing the brothers to dodge. Sasori then unleashed fire from his sleeves as he ran at the pair.
Earth Kingdom
"You're DEAD wrong." Sasuke declared determined. "I will NEVER leave my new family behind."
"Sasuke, wake to the truth." Orochimaru stated. "You will abandon and be abandoned. No one will care for you, but it's not too late. I can lend you the power needed to take on Itachi Uchiha, the one you want dead."
"If he keeps coming for me, I'll give him death." Sasuke stated. "In the end, I've cast aside my obsession with him to embrace my new life. No one will break that apart."
"Why bother pretending? Why bother being this country's hero?" Kabuto questioned. "They will all know the real you, a monster."
"Accept the truth and come with us." Orochimaru stated. "We'll make you stronger."
Xai Bau's Grove.
"If my uncle came up with a plan to abduct me when I was a kid, why wasn't he caught?" Korra asked.
"He wasn't with us that night and covered up his involvement afterwards." Zaheer responded.
"So, he betrayed you just like he betrayed me." Korra said.
"Yes." Zaheer nodded. "He allowed me and my friends to remain in prison while he pursued his own, selfish goals. Unalaq becoming a Dark Avatar was never part of our mission."
"What IS your mission?" Korra asked.
"People are born into this world as slaves." Zaheer began. "Slaves to Queens, Fire Lords, Chiefs, Presidents, Daimyos, Kage, and even the Avatars who decide their place in life for them. The world would be better off without them.
True freedom can only be achieved when oppressive governments are torn down, governments people did not choose for themselves. Power should be freely given, not taken by an army, bureaucracy, or tradition."
"Tearing these facets down won't bring balance." Korra retorted. "I'll only throw the world into chaos."
"Exactly." Zaheer resounded. "The natural order is disorder. Do you know who once said, 'New growth cannot exist without first the destruction of the old'?"
"No." Korra said.
"The wise Guru Laghima, an Airbender." Zaheer declared, shocking the Avatar.
Misty Palm Inn
Ming-Hua was bending her water arms at Mako while Kisame threw in various Water Style, putting the Firebender on the absolute defensive. He was pulling every form of defensive stance and movement he's ever learned just to stay in this and get off even a few fire blasts.
Eventually, Kisame managed to get in one good swing with Samehada, whose bandages had started to fall off, leaving a gash in his back. The Firebender cried out in pain as Ming-Hua then swung both her arms into him sending Mako crashing hard into a nearby wall.
"It's too bad you're not a Waterbender." Kisame approached Mako as he fell to the ground belly first. "I really wanted to fight one."
He then stomped Mako's head into the ground hard enough to render him unconscious. At the same time, Bolin was fighting Ghazan and Sasori. The Earthbender was in arguably a worse position than Mako as the Lavabender could just turn whatever earth he threw out into lava.
Sasori just kept bombarding him with fire from his sleeves. Suddenly, Bolin's body stopped moving, and he looked up to see Sasori had caught him with his Chakra Threads. He didn't even get time to speak as he was lifted into the air.
"Gaaaaah!" Bolin cried.
Sasori then brought him down rapidly while Ghazan bent up a pillar of earth. While Bolin was used to being hit hard, this was on an entirely new level to the point he was rendered unconscious.
Ming-Hua then picked up both brothers with her water arms before looking at the other three. "I got these two, you three get the Avatar and see about finding the Uchiha."
The two Akatsuki and one Red Lotus started moving.
Earth Kingdom
"Get it through your heads, I'm not going with you, and I never will!" Sasuke declared.
"He doesn't know the truth of the massacre, but it seem Sasuke is no longer that boy who could be easily manipulated by promises of power." Orochimaru smiled. "Such bold words, but what will happen when you face change? Change is part of life, and it affects us all."
"It does; however, I've made my mistakes in facing change before." Sasuke stated. "Now, I'd like to think I have the capacity to face change better than before."
"I may very well have to keep a close eye on you, Sasuke." Orochimaru chuckled. "You have proven, time and again, to be interesting. Perhaps one day, I'll come to you and test this resolve against my desire to take that body of yours. See what the windmills blow then."
In that moment, they both became piles of snakes that slithered off. Despite what was said, Sasuke wouldn't put it past Orochimaru again to pop up sometime during everything else that was going on. Perhaps he'd even be watching now personally.
"Wait…is that, Naga?" Sasuke thought.
He spotted the polar bear-dog sprinting away from Misty Palm Oasis. The Uchiha didn't spare a second longer as he dashed off after her. As he closed in, Sasuke saw Asami and a still seemingly meditative Korra before they were enclosed in an earth tent.
"Naga!" Sasuke went for the earth tent, only to be entrapped in one of his own. "No!" He sparked with lightning nature. "Chidori Stream!"
Lightning sparked out in all directions as the tent closed in rapidly. His lightning tore through the earth, only to now reveal a rather large rock moments before it collided with his head hard. The Uchiha was taken off his feet and crashed to the ground as things went dark.
Xai Bau's Grove
"You know, being locked away for so many years, I was beginning to lose hope." Zaheer stated. "When I awoke with Airbending, I knew I would be the one to destroy the old world and plant seeds for a new world to flourish."
"Zaheer, please." Korra pleaded. "As an Airbender, you could help make a positive difference in the world instead of destroying it."
"You're a very smart young woman, but you must realize that once change begins, it cannot be stopped." Zaheer retorted. "Not by the Avatar, and I doubt your Uchiha friend can do the deed either."
"Enough of your philosophical mumbo-jumbo." Korra stated. "I want to know one thing. If you do capture me, what're you going to do with me?"
"You'll have that answer soon enough." Zaheer returned. "The Red Lotus should have you by now, and I'm certain the Akatsuki should have Sasuke. See you in the physical world."
He then disappeared.
"Zaheer!" Korra called, running for the tree.
Desert Camp
Korra returned to the physical world where she's now strapped in a strait jacket and muzzled. "Zaheer! You tricked me! Let me go!" She spotted Asami handcuffed against a wall close to her. "Asami, are you okay? Where's the rest of the Red Lotus?"
"What's the Red Lotus?" Asami asked. "Zaheer didn't capture us. The Earth Queen's forces did."
The door swung up and Sasuke, bound neck to toes in chains, was tossed into the room.
"Sasuke!" Korra exclaimed.
"Where the hell are we?" Sasuke asked.
"I'm not sure." Asami answered. "Some sort of camp by the desert. They're taking us back to Ba Sing Se."
Cave
Ming-Hua, Sasori, Kisame, and Ghazan arrived with the bound bodies of the Bending Brothers.
"The Earth Queen's army snatched up the Avatar and Uchiha Shinobi before we could." Ghazan reported.
"It was annoying." Sasori declared, as they tossed the brothers forward.
"Still, perhaps we could have a use for them." Itachi said, looking
down at Mako and Bolin.
"Load them in the truck." Zaheer smirked. "We're going to Ba Sing Se."
