Roderich led his crush and current project partner Michelle into his home. The idea was for them to work together on the project, though he couldn't help but hope that more could happen. A part of him was hoping to finally confess to her and ask her out, but another part was telling him not to make a fool of himself.
"So, where should we go?" Michelle asked.
"We can't go to my room," Roderich said. "My parents wouldn't be too thrilled if I take a girl there. We can go to the study."
"Okay," she chirped happily.
Roderich tried not to blush at her happy voice. He led her to the study, which comprised of a large desk in one corner with chairs on either side. And on the opposite side was a grand piano.
"So," Roderich started, "I was thinking we could…"
He trailed off when he realised that Michelle was still at the piano, barely running her hand across the surface. He felt a twinge of panic, but relaxed upon noticing that she didn't touch it.
"This is a beautiful piano," Michelle said, before turning to him. "Do you play?"
Roderich could practically feel his chest puff up a little as he nodded his head.
"I could play for you now, if you'd like," he said.
Her face lit up, and she eagerly nodded her head. Roderich approached the piano, and she respectfully gave him room. He sat down on the bench, uncovered the keys, and after reverently stroking the keys he started to play.
It was the first thing that came to mind, and he closed his eyes. He knew the music by heart by now, and only needed to listen to the melody to know what would come next. His fingers glided over the keys, the knowledge ingrained into their memory.
Eventually the song stopped, and he turned to Michelle. He was about to ask what she thought of it, but before he had the chance, her lips pressed against his own.
His eyes widened in shock, and after a few moments she pulled away, her face red.
"S-sorry," she stuttered. "I-I was j-just…"
She chose that moment to turn around and run out of the study. Roderich snapped out of his stupor and ran after her.
He caught up to her at the entrance, and he gently grabbed her wrist.
"What happened back there?" he asked.
"I-I'm sorry," she said, and he could see that there were tears in her eyes. "I-I was just… caught in the moment, and… I should leave."
He hugged her, and she froze.
"I guess now would be a great time to mention that I have a crush on you," he said, a smile on his face. Of course, his nerves were frantic.
Her eyes widened.
"You have a crush on me?" she asked. "But… You're so elegant and I'm so plain. Why?"
He shook his head, before he kissed her.
The prompt is: 'Imagine, before Person A and B start dating, Person A decides to show Person B that they can play the piano. Person B finds this extremely attractive. In the middle of the song, Person B kisses Person A. After the initial shock, Person B runs out of the room, embarrassed. What happens next is up to you.'
