Framania: Paris Je T'aime

"Thanks for doing this, France," Romania said.

France smiled at the Eastern European. He was surprised when he received the call from Romania, asking him if he would be willing to show him through Paris. France, enjoying any opportunity to show the splendours of his country, readily agreed to the other's request.

"Is there anything in particular that you wanted to see?" France asked.

Romania looked thoughtful for a moment.

"Well," he said, "I've always been curious about the Moulin Rouge."

France smirked.

"So, you're interested in mes belles filles?" France taunted.

Romania shrugged.

"I want to see what the big deal is," he said.

France nodded.

"I can assure you, you won't be disappointed," he said.

A tour through Paris took several days, almost a week. And yet, France never tired of any of it. He enjoyed seeing Romania's eyes light up as he took in the splendour. He felt proud whenever Romania would ask him about the history of a particular landmark. And he found that he was really starting to enjoy Romania's company.

As they were walking, on the way back to France's home, the Frenchman couldn't help but ask what was on his mind.

"Mon ami, do you mind if I ask you something?" France asked.

"Asides from the question you already asked?" Romania said. "Sure."

"What made you decide that you wanted to tour Paris?"

Romania shrugged.

"I guess I thought it was a good opportunity to spend time with you and get to know you a bit better," he said.

It took France a few moments to realise the implications of what Romania was saying, and once he did, his head snapped to regard the Romanian.

"Quoi?" France demanded.

Romania smirked.

"If you want, I can show you through Bucharest," he offered.

And France wanted to kick himself for not realising this sooner. And he dared call himself the nation of love.

The prompt is: 'Could I possibly request a chapter for France and Romania, where France is showing him around Paris and stuff like that?' Okay, technically more a request than a prompt, but oh well.

The title is a reference to Paris, Je T'aime, which is probably the first French film I watched. The other thing going through my mind while writing this chapter is the song À Paris by Riff Cohen.
