Thanks to Leamirsiu, Hailey and O Canada for reviewing.

Regarding that request for SebCan… I actually have a multichapter for that one planned on my long list of multichapters to work on, and since some of my multichapters are technically part of this series, I try not to include a pairing here that is a main pairing in the multichapters. There are a few exceptions, though (basically, if you give the pairing a twist, like 2P or Nyotalia, or if it becomes an OT3+, or if the pairing I wanted to write was already an OT3+ and the request only wanted two of the members, or if the multichapter's idea came after I wrote a oneshot but the plot fit these two characters so well). My profile has a list of stories I want to work on, as well as the pairings.

Disclaimer: I don't own Hetalia.

Spakraine: First Time

Antonio's leg was practically vibrating, and he was sure he heard one of the nurses mentioning him being a 'first-timer'. He glanced towards the direction of the maternity ward, wondering how long it would take before someone came to him. He wondered if everything was alright. Oh no, what if something was wrong? After all, it was already a caesarean.

"Mr Carriedo?"

He jumped, looking towards the nurse in front of him. She smiled gently.

"You can come see her now," the nurse said.

Antonio leapt to his feet, following after her. He finally entered the room. Katyusha was lying so still. Another nurse was in the corner, but Antonio was focusing all of his attention on his wife.

"The operation went well," the nurse explained. "There were no complications, and both your wife and daughter are fine."

Antonio jumped when he heard the news. He had a daughter?

His attention shifted to the other nurse, who was most likely cleaning the baby. She walked closer, and Antonio's attention shifted to the little girl in her arms.

"Congratulations," she said, before handing him the small bundle.

Antonio stared down at the tiny baby in his arms. It felt so unreal. After nine months…

It was half an hour before Katyusha woke up, and she appeared disoriented for a while. But eventually she focused on Antonio, and he smiled.

"Hello there, mi amor," he said.

Her gaze shifted to the baby in his arms, and he brought the baby closer. She took the baby and smiled.

"We have a beautiful baby girl," he said.

Katyusha smiled in relief and wonder.

"I'm glad," she whispered.

I tried to think of a reason why he wouldn't be with her while she was giving birth, and a caesarean came to mind. And my parents said that the nurses were amused by their anxiety and could immediately identify them as first-time parents.

Regarding the multichapters I mentioned in the AN above, I singled out a few that I want to actively work on as much as possible, three of which are pairing fics. I'll try to work on them when I can, though I still need to work from home. I envy those that complain about boredom regarding quarantine and lockdown. I have stories to write, and books to read… Anyway, the main pairings of the fics I'm working on are Canada/North Korea, Portugal/Wales and Canada/Romania. Believe me when I say I'm trying to get them ready as quickly as possible. Better to wait for the first chapter than to have the first chapter and wait an eternity for the next chapter.
