EgySey: Different Classes
Gupta returned to his room, annoyed and bored. Lessons were finished for the day, and there was nothing else for a pharaoh's son to do.
He entered the room and paused, seeing a small meal waiting for him on a low table, a cup of wine provided as well. The handmaiden standing next to the table smiled.
"Welcome back, your majesty," she said.
He smiled. The girl came from further south, and was always conscientious of him. He would admit, if things were different, he might have considered her for a wife. Not only was she compassionate and caring, but she was also beautiful. Sadly, the rules given to them wouldn't allow it.
The only thing the two of them could really do, considering the circumstances, was to spend as much time together as possible. And whatever happened, the prince would protect his handmaiden.
"Would you care to join me?" he asked.
She giggled, before sitting down across from him. She returned his feelings, and when they were alone, they could treat each other as equals. When they were alone, they didn't have to pretend, or worry about everyone else's opinions.
They could just enjoy each other's company.
I had a prompt for Egypt and Seychelles a while back, where he's a pharaoh or something and she's a handmaiden. And since I've also been playing the game Pharaoh, I figured it's a good idea to write it now.
