Ludwig was closing his locker when he felt something jerk him slightly to the side. He turned to see an Asian boy pressing against him.
"Sorry," he said. "Could you please stand still? My friend is trying to yell at me, and since you're taller, I was hoping that you could hide me."
Ludwig tried to make sense of the other boy's words as he demonstrated his impression of a fish. But then…
"LEON!"
Ludwig whipped his head around to see a white-haired boy storming down the hallway. He tried to ignore the Asian boy that pressed closer to him as the other ran past them. Ludwig watched for a moment before he looked down at the other.
"What exactly did you do?" Ludwig asked.
"Um," the boy, Leon, sheepishly said as he scratched the back of his head. "I kind of stuffed his locker with pictures of his crush."
Ludwig stared at Leon for a moment before he sighed, shaking his head.
"And you're his friend?" Ludwig asked. "Well, I suppose as far as pranks go, it could be worse." Ludwig thought about his brother and some of Gilbert's pranks. "Alright, I suggest you get out of here before he circles back."
"Thanks," Leon said. "By the way, I didn't get your name."
"Ludwig."
Leon nodded, before he ran away. Ludwig stared after him, hoping that he wouldn't get into any more trouble.

Leon found Emil in their usual spot. The Icelander smirked when the Asian sat down next to him.
"So, how did it go?" Emil asked.
"Well, I think I at least managed to get on his radar," Leon said. "We'll see how things go from here."
"You know, I'm pretty sure there are easier ways to get your crush to notice you."
"Maybe, but this was pretty fun."
