Vietnesia: After the Meeting

Vietnam watched the last nations leave, before she turned her attention to the living room. One problem she had with their informal meetings was the mess left behind. She sighed, bracing herself for the work ahead of her.

She spun around when she heard a sound, and it took her a moment to realise that someone was clearing their throat. She stared in surprise at Indonesia. She was sure that he had left with the others.

"What are you still doing here?" she asked.

He didn't answer immediately, instead looking around the room. She felt unnerved when he finally fixed his gaze on her.

"Do you need help?" he asked.

She was surprised by the offer, and she wanted to turn him down and tell him that she could manage it fine, until she looked at the room again. She turned towards him and nodded.

"I would appreciate it," she said.

The two worked together. Most of it was in silence, but Vietnam found that she wasn't too bothered. It actually felt comfortable working with him. Finally, the two of them finished. She looked at her living room, a soft smile on her face before she turned to Indonesia.

"Thanks for your help," she said. "Would you like something to drink? Coffee? Tea?"

"I wouldn't mind some tea," he said. "Especially if you have something sweet."

She noticed that he avoided her gaze, a faint bush on his cheeks. He always became bashful at the strangest times. No matter. It was pretty cute, in her opinion.

Of course, she would make sure that no one knew she thought that. Especially Thailand or Taiwan.

I had a particular request for Vietnam with an ASEAN nation, and I decided to use one of the new canon characters.
