Belnesia: Sweet Delights

Belgium smiled when she approached Indonesia, her hands clasped behind her back. It was after the meeting, so everyone was milling around, chatting with friends or putting away their notes. Indonesia was having some sort of discussion with Singapore. When she was close enough, she realised that Singapore was complaining about chewing gum.

The two noticed her presence and turned to her. Her smile brightened as she focused on Indonesia.

"Indonesia, my brother told me that you have a sweet tooth," Belgium said. "Would you mind accompanying me to a dessert factory? They mostly have chocolate, but there are other types of desserts too. They also have samples. And it would be too sad to go there on my own."

Singapore turned towards Indonesia and burst into laughter.

"Oh, he's interested," he said.

Belgium had to giggle when she saw Indonesia's face. It looked as though his brain had stopped the moment she said 'dessert factory'.

"This is really good," Belgium said after swallowing a sweet. Chocolate mousse within a chocolate shell. She made a mental note to buy some at the shop. "What do you think?"

Indonesia nodded his head. She could tell that he was swirling the sweet around in his mouth, his eyes looking slightly glazed.

"Want to get a toffee next?" Belgium asked.

He eagerly nodded his head, and the two of them made their way towards the toffee area. They each chose one they deemed interesting and popped them into their mouths. The two grinned at each other.

They eagerly toured through the factory, along with many other tourists. Finally, they found themselves in the shop, searching for desserts to take home.

"This was fun," Indonesia said. "Thanks for inviting me. But I have to ask: why did you want me to come in particular?"

"Maybe I wanted an excuse to spend time with you," Belgium said.

She jumped when there was a thump next to her. Well, it would seem that Indonesia's decision was made regarding what he would buy. At least they were all in boxes, and the staff wouldn't have to complain about having to clean the dessert from the floor.

The notes in the manga say that Indonesia has a sweet tooth, and the fact that Indonesia is a former colony of Netherlands means that Netherlands would know that about him and pass the information on to Belgium. And I added a reference to Singapore's chewing gum ban.
