Icetralia: SOS

Jett looked at the screen and chuckled. Emil had sent an 'SOS', asking him to meet him at his apartment. The Icelander would often do something like this when he was lonely. Jett looked at the time. He had to go pick his siblings up from school in about three hours. He supposed that he could spend some time with Emil until then.

He quickly texted a reply that he would be there immediately, before he got into his car. A few minutes later found him in front of Emil's door, knocking.

When there was no answer, Jett knocked again. When there was still no answer, he started to get worried. He fished out his keys and unlocked the door.

"Emi?" Jett called out.

"I'm in the bathroom!" Emil responded. "Help!"

Jett went off running, and he was alarmed when he found Emil with only a towel wrapped around him and lying on the wet floor. Jett's heart fluttered when he realised that the message Emil had sent was an actual emergency message. He immediately raced towards Emil, being careful of the wet floor.

"What happened?" Jett asked, his hands hovering over Emil.

"I slipped," Emil stated the obvious. "I hit my elbow pretty badly, and I can't get up."

"How's your head?" Jett asked as he tried to determine which elbow was hurt. He noticed that Emil's right arm was slightly swollen, and started prodding lightly.

"I bumped my head, but I don't think it's too serious." Emil hissed, and Jett prodded a bit more. "Be careful."

"I think it's broken," Jett announced, "or at least badly sprained. Let's see if I can help you get up, and I'll take you to the hospital."

Emil nodded, and with as much care as possible, Jett helped him to his feet. He helped Emil get dressed before guiding him to the car. Emil was quiet on the way to the hospital, and Jett could tell that this wasn't his normal quietness.

The next hour was filled with waiting and doctors prodding and x-rays. When the doctors weren't busy with Emil, Jett held onto the hand of Emil's uninjured arm to help provide comfort. Eventually, the doctor announced that Emil's elbow was fractured, and the shoulder of the same arm was sprained. Emil's elbow was in so much pain that he hadn't even noticed.

Emil's face twisted when the doctor announced that he needed to get a cast. Jett squeezed Emil's hand.

"It'll be fine," Jett said. "You can stay with me for the next few weeks, if you'd like."

"I'm sorry for causing you trouble," Emil said. "But… I would appreciate it."

"It's no trouble at all. I'd go to hell and back for you."

Emil blushed, but a small smile brightened his face.
