TurkBela: Movie Night
"Everything ready?" Natalia asked.
"Of course," Sadiq said, grabbing the remote and sitting next to Natalia.
The light was dimmed, and the coffee table was close with their drinks. Sadiq held up the bowl of popcorn to allow Natalia to throw the blanket over their laps, and when that was done he placed the bowl between them. He pressed 'play' on the remote and sat back as the movie started to play.
About halfway through the movie, Sadiq felt a weight on his shoulder. He turned his head to see Natalia, and looking carefully at her face, he realised that she had dozed off. He smiled. She looked so innocent when she was asleep.
They remained like that until the end of the movie. When it was finished, Sadiq nudged his shoulder. Natalia groaned as she shifted. She slowly sat up, looking confused.
"Did I miss the entire movie?" she asked.
"Only about halfway," Sadiq said. "Sorry for picking such a boring movie. But did you enjoy your sleep?"
Natalia was stretching before she sighed.
"It wasn't too bad," she said.
This was inspired by my mother who can't really watch anything after eight o'clock at night without falling asleep.
