PruLiech: Haircut
Gilbert knocked on Lili's door, excited to see her look of surprise when she saw him coming by with a bouquet of lilies. He was going to play the role of awesome boyfriend who spoiled his girlfriend rotten.
A few seconds later, he was staring at large green eyes, which truly became surprised when they saw him. However, Gilbert was a bit distracted.
"Oh, Gilbert," Lili said. "I wasn't expecting you. Why didn't you call?"
He didn't answer. Instead, with the hand not holding the flowers, he took hold of the ends of Lili's hair.
"What happened to your hair?" he asked, feeling the strands. "Where is it?"
"Oh, I cut it yesterday," Lili replied. "Don't you like it?"
"Why?"
"Um, well, at this time of year, long hair becomes really hot. I just cut it so that it's a bit cooler. Does it look bad?"
"Nein, it's just… I'm surprised." He remembered the purpose of his visit, and he handed the bouquet over towards her. "For you."
Lili giggled before she accepted the flowers.
"Thank you," she said. "These are lovely. Would you like to come in? I have tea and cookies."
"Sounds awesome," he said.
A while back, I had my hair cut. Nothing major, just the ends. I also had it thinned a little. My head also decided that it was shedding season because it's summer now. And my hair is curly. Since all the extra weight was gone, my hair curls quite a lot now, which gives the illusion that my hair is a lot shorter. And my sister's reaction when she saw me after the haircut? She grabbed my hair and started looking for the rest, even asking me where the hair is.
This was also our dog's reaction when he was still young and my sister cut her hair short. He thought that our hair were great toys, but when he got behind my sister to start playing with her hair (read: tugging and pulling and biting), he started looking around for the rest of it. And after my sister recovered from her surprise, we both laughed because we remembered the dog's reaction.
