Vlad was in a toy store, looking for a potential gift for his little brother's birthday. He sighed, going to another aisle when he saw his classmate and crush, Matthias. The tall Dane was grinning as he examined the different boxes, and Vlad chanced a glance to see which boxes they were. He could see the Lego logo quite clearly.

Vlad frowned, before he went over towards Matthias. When he got close enough, he heard the Dane mumbling something to himself.

"Yeah, this should work nicely," Matthias said. "This would look great with the castle. Oh, and I should probably get the royal city too."

"Matthias?" Vlad said.

Matthias yelped before spinning around. His eyes bulged when he saw Vlad.

"W-what are you doing here?!" Matthias yelped. "I-I was just… Forget you saw anything!"

"Huh?" Vlad asked, cocking his head. "Why? And… Why do you look so embarrassed?"

"I-it's nothing, just forget you saw anything."

Vlad stared at Matthias for a few more seconds before something clicked.

"Wait a minute," Vlad said. "Are you… a Lego enthusiast?"

"N-no!" Matthias stammered. "I-I mean… It's for little kids, right? Why would I be interested in something like that? A-anyway… What are you doing here?"

"I'm looking for a gift for my little brother. It's his birthday soon. I was thinking about something like this. Tell me, would you have any recommendations?"

"Well, what's he like?"

"He likes scary stories."

"Well, there's this haunted castle set. Let's see… Where…? Ah, here it is. Oh, and there's also a dragon that he could build. And then there's a…"

Matthias froze, and Vlad chuckled.

"You really are a Lego enthusiast," Vlad said. "Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. And if it makes you feel better… I like fairy tales. Especially old ones. Especially romantic ones."

Matthias blushed. Vlad took the box with the haunted castle set. It wasn't too expensive.

"I think my brother would love this," Vlad said.

"W-wait," Matthias said. "That… that wasn't a trick? You really have a little brother?"

"Da. His name's Alexandru. Well, thanks for the recommendation. I'll see you at school?"

"J-ja. Um, so, fairy tales…"

Vlad snickered.

"Everyone has something they're interested in," Vlad said. "We all need hobbies, otherwise, we'll go crazy."

"I… I guess you're right," Matthias said.

Vlad watched as Matthias looked at another set, and Vlad's eyes widened when he saw that it was a fairy tale castle. He blushed when Matthias picked it up off the shelf and turned to him.

"Well…" Matthias said. "Since you know my secret… Want to come over and build this with me? I've always wanted someone I could share this with."

"Um, yeah," Vlad said. "I… I would like that."
