Raj kept his eyes on Yao as he followed the latter's movements. They had been doing tai chi together for about a week now, and Raj was starting to get the hang of it. He was still a little disoriented about doing something like this first thing in the morning, but he had to admit that he felt relaxed during the day, and he had Yao to thank for it.
"And we finish with a light bow," Yao said. He smiled. "Good job."
"Thanks," Raj said. "So then, shall we get breakfast?"
…
Yao glanced over towards Raj, his arms trembling somewhat as he mimicked Raj's movements. They had been doing yoga together for about a week now, and Yao was still having trouble with some of the poses. He had a hard time believing that Raj was directing him through the basics.
"And we finish with the corpse pose," Raj said.
Yao sighed in relief. He'd realised that this one was his favourite. This was probably the only one he could deem relaxing.
"And we're done," Raj said after a while.
"Finally," Yao sighed. "So, are we going to get dinner?"
Early morning tai chi and evening yoga. It was an interesting way to spend time together, but it was something of their own.
I enjoy both yoga and tai chi, but frequent migraines have made it difficult to practise either of them. And I realised it was a bad idea when I got sick while doing yoga specifically for migraines. I went to a doctor, and we managed to find possible reasons for the migraines, specifically a deficiency in magnesium and a surplus of iron.
