KorThai: One Side
Korea skipped over towards Thailand and threw his arms around him. Thailand turned towards him and patted him on the head.
"Hello Korea," Thailand greeted. "How are you doing?"
Korea pouted. He hated the fact that Thailand treated him like a child.
"I told you to stop doing that," Korea grumbled. "Anyway, do you want to go out with me after the meeting?"
"Sorry, but I'm meeting someone else," Thailand said. "What about over the weekend? We can go karaoke and get some ice-cream."
Korea nodded, even though he was still pouting. Thailand was still speaking to him as though he was a child, and yes, he was younger than Thailand, but that didn't mean that he wanted to be treated like that.
Thailand went over towards the other South-East Asian nations, while Korea went to China and Japan. The meeting started soon, and Korea frequently glanced over towards Thailand. What would it take for Thailand to take him seriously? If Thailand couldn't take him seriously, then how could Korea get him to return his feelings?
…
It was evening, and Korea returned to the hotel. He had gone out to a convenience store to get some dinner and snacks. When he got close to the hotel, two other nations came out. Thailand and Philippines walked out, and Korea came to an abrupt stop. When they turned towards the opposite direction, Korea saw them holding hands.
Korea's throat tightened and he dropped his shopping bags. So, the problem wasn't just that Thailand didn't take him seriously. Thailand was already seeing someone else.
He grabbed his bags and rushed inside. His eyes stung as he fought the tears. He needed to last until he reached his hotel room. And once he did, he sobbed as the tears rolled down his cheeks. He should have known that Thailand wouldn't be single. After all, he was nice and handsome. Of course he was in a relationship.
Korea remained curled up in his hotel room, binging on all the snacks until he eventually cried himself to sleep. Japan called him in the morning to ask why he wasn't at the meeting, which woke Korea up. He only said that he wasn't feeling well. He couldn't leave the room. He didn't want to see anyone. He just wanted to wallow in his despair.
The prompt is: 'A one-sided Korea/Thailand on Korea's end.'
