EgyPru: Anxiety

"Gilbert?" Gupta said as he stood at the study's doors. "It's late. Why don't you come to bed?"

"I can't," Gilbert said. "I have to prepare this presentation, and it turns out that there's a defect with the product so now we have to come up with a solution, and because I was the project manager, I have to be the one to deal with all this shit, and…"

"When was the last time you've slept? You didn't come to bed last night."

"Gupta, I can't sleep! The presentation is for tomorrow, and we still have no idea how to fix any of this. And if I can't fix this, then I might lose my job! Don't you see?"

Gupta stood there for a long time before he went over towards Gilbert, who had returned to his work. Gupta wrapped his arms around Gilbert's shoulders. It concerned him when he felt his husband tense.

"Gupta…" Gilbert said.

"You're stressed," Gupta said. "You won't be able to think of a clear solution like this. So, why don't you take a few minutes to relax?"

"I don't have time to…"

"Just close your eyes, alright?"

Gupta pulled away and looked at Gilbert's face to see if he obeyed. When he saw that Gilbert's eyes were closed, Gupta started to massage his shoulders. Gilbert whimpered before eventually starting to moan.

"Just relax," Gupta said, "and clear your mind. Once you're calmer, I'm sure you will be able to think of a solution. You're brilliant and creative. I know you can do it."

"…Danke," Gilbert said. "It means a lot to hear you… Oh, right there!"

Gupta smirked as he felt the knot, and Gilbert's moan was satisfying as the knot started to loosen. Gupta couldn't help Gilbert with his work, but he could do this much, at least.
