Thainesia: Sugar and Spice

"I can't understand how you can eat all that sugar," Thailand said as he watched the ice-cream covered in chocolate sauce with candy disappear in Indonesia's mouth.

"And I can't understand how you can eat all that spicy food," Indonesia said. "At least you're not as bad as India."

"You're going to get sick with all that sugar."

"At least I'll be able to taste my food."

Thailand sighed, before he took a bite of his own plain vanilla ice-cream. He knew that this was a losing battle. And he supposed that this was what he deserved after the three courses of spicy food he'd exposed Indonesia to this weekend.

I'm more of a sweet tooth, and I've noticed that if I do get a sugar rush, I don't crash afterwards. I steadily go down from being hyper. And while I'm not opposed to spicy food, I can't handle it as well as my mother. A while back, my dad got some curry from an Indian colleague. I couldn't finish one plate. I had to tag out. My mother had seconds.
