[I OWN NOTHING. MY OCS ARE TO ME AND ME ALONE]
Chapter 3: Meet Alzatico and his family
Some distance away from the Encanto, and much further than Alma's old village, was a Colombian city, and in that city, stood a house, a house, though not as big or as alive as Casita, was just big enough for a family.
In this house, lived a man named Alzatico.
Alzatico was a 75 year old man who's balding with short white hair, a curly moustache, a goatee, and light green eyes. He wore a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a purple ascot, a dark green-blue long waistcoat over said, dark teal pants, and dark teal slip-on leather shoes on his bare feet.
You may think He looked like an ordinary old man, but don't be fooled by his appearance. He was also a powerful sorcerer, who used magic to entertain people and help them too.
Also, like the Madrigals, he had a family of his own. He was the single father to 4 sons, Gustavo, Zachary, Russ, and Oscar.
And, also, like the Madrigals, 3 of Alzatico's sons had gifts.
Alzatico and his family used their magic & gifts to help and entertain people wherever they travelled, because, unlike the Madrigals, who lived in one place, they were a travelling family on the move. [the house they were living in, was just a rental, btw]
Gustavo, Alzatico's eldest son, was 22 years old.
He was big and muscular, with tan skin, brown eyes, black slick hair, a big goatee, and he wears a indigo vest with dark purple mountain patterns on the bottom, grey sweatpants, and dark brown Colombian leather boots.
Like Luisa, he had the gift of superhuman strength.
Zachary was the second eldest son. He was 20 years old.
He was a big-looking man with pale skin, blue eyes, messy dirty blonde-coloured hair, a small stubbly goatee, and a thin moustache, in the same colour. His clothes consisted of a sleeveless brown ruana, with no shirt underneath, grey pants, and clay brown sandals.
His gift was the gift of telekinesis, the ability to move things with his mind.
Russ, the third son, was 18 years old.
he had tan skin, brown eyes, dark brown puffy hair, a beard styled like Jafar from Disney's Aladdin, a dark blue sleeveless top, a cream neck-scarf, light blue pants, a green and black striped cummerbund, and red sandals.
He had the gift of super speed, which meant he could move as fast as Sonic the Hedgehog, and Dash Parr from The Incredibles.
Oscar was Alzatico's youngest son, around 16 years old, one year older than Mirabel.
Oscar had deep brown skin, green eyes, slate dark grey messy hair, and black glasses. His clothes consist of a sleeveless chartreuse top, a pale green waistcoat, green pants, and dark brown sandals.
Like Mirabel, he had no gift of his own, but instead, he was a sorcerer, like his dad, but his magic was not as good or as strong or powerful as his dad's was.
Oscar's 3 older brothers were very supportive of their little bro, though, and they cared for him.
There was also one thing that separated Oscar and his brothers from their dad; Oscar and his brothers were nice inside and out, whereas their father, on the other hand, was only nice on the outside.
Deep down, behind his façade, Alzatico was a selfish, cruel, greedy, and power-hungry sorcerer, who would stop at nothing to make himself all powerful, and feared. He was also a vengeful sorcerer, as you will find out later on.
Today, it seemed quiet in the house where Alzatico & his family were living in.
Alzatico was in his quarters, studying a book of magical artefacts. "There has to be something that will make me the most powerful sorcerer in the world." he sighed. He slammed the book shut in frustration. "For many years, I have been searching this country, and nothing has come up! NOTHING!" he yelled.
Oscar, who was nearby, heard the shouts his father made. "Calm down, Papa," he said. "I'm sure you'll find one soon."
"Well, maybe if you did more helping me, we could find this Artefacto mágico!" Alzatico snapped at his son. "Now can you tell Russ to go get me a cup of Té dulce?" he asked him.
"Already done it, Dad." said Russ, who was standing next to the bookcase, with a cup of Té dulce [sweet tea] in his hand. Alzatico took said cup of sweet tea from him, without so much as a thank you. Russ made sure to hide his annoyance about this.
Gustavo, who was working his muscles out with a pair of mini dumbbells in his hands, noticed that Russ seemed annoyed. "It's ok, bro." he said, in a supportive tone. "Papa's busy tendencies sometimes mean he doesn't often thank us for everything we do for him."
It made Russ feel better, a bit. "Yeah." Russ said, "I mean, Papa is very busy trying to make himself a powerful sorcerer, and-"
"I can hear you two!" Alzatico snapped. "Gustavo, you need to keep going on your fitness regime."
"Lo siento, Papa!" Gustavo said, before going back to working his muscles.
As Alzatico sipped his tea, he glanced over to Zachary, who was reading a book from the far bookshelf. "Zachary, bring me my viewing mirror." he said. "And be careful with it, it's extremely fragile!"
Zachary, of course, answered with a small nod. He was the quiet one in this story, so he didn't speak very often. Using his telekinesis powers, Zachary delivered the mirror to his dad. "Good." Alaztico said, taking the mirror. "Espejo mágico, reveal to me, the most powerful Artefacto mágico in this country!" he chanted.
The image mirror swirled, and everyone watched to see what the answer would come up with.
The image soon faded, to reveal some sort of candle, in a window.
"A candle?" asked Russ.
"A candle?" asked Oscar.
"Si." Alzatico said. "A candle."
Of course, what Alzatico, Gustavo, Russ, Oscar, and Zachary were looking at was the original Miracle Candle, which had been Alma & Pedro Madrigal's wedding candle, which had once been the source of the magic of the Encanto.
"Where can we find such a thing like this, Dad?" Oscar asked.
"I'm looking." Alzatico said.
The image pulled back a bit, and revealed a very colourful-looking house - The Madrigals' house, Casita, in their village, the Encanto.
"Wow." Gustavo said, bewildered. "What a colourful house."
"Si." Oscar said, "It is colourful."
"Is that where the candle is, Dad?" Russ asked.
"Si." said Alzatico. "and that's where we're going."
"But, Dad, how can we find it?" asked Oscar. "I heard from some of the kids in town that mountains mysteriously appeared during the war long ago, and none of the marauders have ever found it."
"Yeah," said Russ. "Now, apparently, what I heard from some old ladies in town the other day, the marauders have long since retired; and the war's over now, so they're enjoying their golden years in peace."
He showed pictures of some of the former marauders*, relaxing on deckchairs in the sun, eating luxury food, and paddling in rivers, all of them enjoying their retirement. And, of course, their faces were obscured.
[*-Well, you'd think that the war would be over by the time of the Encanto film, wouldn't you?]
"Regardless, we're going there soon." Alzatico said. "I heard a man named Osvaldo does deliveries to and from the village. Next time we see him, we'll find out from him how to get to the village where the candle is."
"ooh," Oscar & his brothers all said at once. They were intrigued by this.
"I can't wait to see that village for myself." said Oscar.
"Oh, you will." Alzatico said. Then, he turned to his sons. "Now, all of you, leave me to my research. Get on with your chores." he said firmly, "and then," he added, "this afternoon, get packed up; we're heading out to the Encanto."
"Yes, Papa." Oscar & his brothers said.
No sooner had Oscar & his brothers left the room, Alzatico turned to the book with an evil grin. "Perfect." he said. "This could work to my potential. Soon, with the magic of this candle, I will become the most powerful sorcerer in this country!"
Then the mirror showed the image of Alma Madrigal. "Alma Madrigal." he said, his voice turning grim and bitter. "It's been 50 years... soon, I will get my revenge on you."
He let off a sinister evil chuckle.
How would Oscar & his brothers react to the Encanto?
Was Alzatico gonna get his chance to get the Encanto's magic for his own selfish needs?
And what was getting his revenge on Abuela Alma Madrigal gonna have to do with it?
Would this pose a threat to the Madrigals, and the miracle?
Would he make good on his evil plan?
Why am I asking you all these questions?
And did the toucan come before the egg?
Some of these questions [but not all of them] will be answered later on in this story.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
So we've met our villain of the fanmade Encanto Sequel - Alzatico, and his family. It seems he has an evil plot in store for the Encanto.
Mirabel Madrigal: [uneasily] I don't think I like the sound of that.
Bruno Madrigal: You and me both, Mirabel.
Me; Don't worry, you two, for next chapter, we're gonna have Dolores & Mariano's wedding reception.
Bruno Madrigal: Ahh, that's a relief.
Mirabel Madrigal: Si. I'm excited for it.
