The next morning Chase, Skye, Rocky and Ella woke up and packed for their trip back home it was thanksgiving weekend and they wanted to spend it with their families. They drove the one hour home blasting cheezie music the entire way. Chase pulled into his driveway and was swarmed by his family. Katie literally could have squeezed Chase's guts out, "Mom I can't breathe" Chase said softly. "Sorry I just missed you so much tell me everything how is school going?" Katie asked very intrigued. "I am going to go visit with Eve for a bit then go see my mom. I will catch up with you later Chase" Skye said as she kissed him and trotted off to Everest's. "Rocky I am going to go see my mom and Tuck I will catch you later" Ella said as she kissed him and went home. "My mom is working till later, I am going to go see Zuma" Rocky said. Chase told everything to his mom and dad and they listened. "This girl seems like a piece of work, is she at least helpful with your grades?" Ryder asked, "Yes I have been doing decent we had a big test yesterday so I guess we will find out." Chase said. "You like this girl Chase?" Cassie asked, "Nope I love Skye. Abby is just a lab partner" Chase said. "Good I love Skye too" Cassie said as she ran upstairs. "Where is she going?" Chase asked, "Who knows she has been doing stuff with her friends, I don't ask" Ryder said. "Basketball is awesome too, I just wish coach would ease up a bit, I literally have no time to do anything." Chase said. "Chase this is preparing you for the NBA you have to get used it to, they don't ease up there either." Ryder said. "Yeah but at least if I play for the NBA I won't have tests and homework to do." Chase whined. Ryder laughed "Welcome to college life" he said. Chase groaned and said "I am going to go visit Marshall see later" as he walked next door.
Chase opened Marshall's door and was bombarded by a toddler, "unkey ase!" Josh said. "Hey little dude, How are you?" Chase said scooping him up and squishing him. "I fine" Josh answered, "My goodness you are getting so big!" Chase said putting him down as he really was heavy. Marshall also hugged Chase and he said "It's been heck raising these two, you literally can't even blink. They are everywhere touching everything, I have zero energy at the end of the day." Chase laughed, "Where is the little miss?" he asked, "Upstairs getting changed with Eve and Skye, she spilled something juice I think all over her outfit." Marshall said. Just then Callie walked into the room and her eyes grew when she saw Chase. "Well hello little miss Callie" Chase said. She ran as fast as her little legs could carry her and body slammed into Chase, he picked her up and she gave him a kiss. "Hi my sweet girl. How are you?" Chase asked her. "Unkey ase, I miss you" Callie said. "I know bug I miss you too, but I am in school and it is taking up a lot of my time. I am sorry" Chase said. "Okay down!" Callie demanded as Chase set her down and she ran towards Josh who was playing on the floor. "Hey Eve how are you?" Chase asked her. "Good tired, but I am good" Everest said. Chase hung out for a bit longer then drove Skye over to her parents house.
Chase took Ace for a walk as he was starting to get hyper, he walked him around the town and stopped a the dog park. Chase was throwing a stick for him when a chocolate lab ran after it. "Hey Chase" Zuma said, "Hey Zuma, how are you doing?" Chase asked, "I am good, coast guard duty is a lot of deep sea rescues, I am loving every second of it." Zuma said. "Awesome, school sucks so you aren't missing anything there" Chase said. "I heard otherwise, Rocky tells me there is a girl?" Zuma asked interested. "Abby yes she has a crush on me but it is nothing. It is not like I haven't dealt with this before" Chase said. "I bet Skye hates her" Zuma said laughing. "Yup she sure does, already threatened her once" Chase said. "Well good luck with her. Did you hear about Rubble?" Zuma asked. "No what happened to Rubble?" Chase asked, "I heard Alyssa broke up with him. He has been working so much I haven't had a chance to talk to him" Zuma said. "Poor Rubble lets try get together with him tomorrow make sure he is okay" Chase said. "Deal I was thinking the same thing" Zuma said. "Okay see you tomorrow Zuma, gotta go home for dinner" Chase said as he clipped Ace onto his leash and left. "Later Chase" Zuma said walking the other direction. Chase had dinner with his family and they talked about school and life in Toronto a bit more. Then Chase went over to Marshall's again after they put the twins to bed.
We are planning on getting together with Rubble tomorrow. Make sure he is alright" Chase said. "Yeah I heard about Alyssa, its a shame I thought all of us would marry our high school girls" Marshall said. "Me too speaking of did you guys set a date yet?" Chase asked, "Eve wants a winter wedding but its to close to winter this year. So we plan of getting married next year in December I think. Eve is planning it all with her mom I tend to stay out of it" Marshall said. "Well Chase as nice as it was to see you I work tomorrow morning so I will see you later" Marshall said as he went to bed. Chase said goodnight to Everest and went back over to his house as he watched some TV. Chase fell asleep on the couch and woke up at 1 am with a ping from his phone.
Rocky: Chase
Chase: Yeah?
Rocky: Meet me at the park
Chase: Why what is wrong?
Rocky: Just come to the park its to complicated to text
Chase: Okay I am coming
Chase snuck out of the house very curious why Rocky wanted to meet so late, it wasn't like him at all. Chase was nervous walking by himself at night he should have brought Ace with him as he walked into the park and saw a figuring sitting on a bench. He was hesitant to walk up to him so he texted Rocky instead.
Chase: Just walking up to park you here?
Rocky: yeah on a bench
Chase: Okay I see you
Chase walked up to Rocky and sat beside his friend. "You okay Rocky?" Chase asked concerned for his friend. "I don't know, I am sorry I woke you up its just you are really the only one I can talk to about this" Rocky said he sounded sad. "I am here bud no matter what" Chase said. "My dad was released from prison, He was released early on parole for good behavior I guess, I am so scared Chase" Rocky said. "It's alright buddy I won't let him hurt you" Chase said giving Rocky a small hug. "I just feel I can't sleep in my house, I mean he took me from there, what if he comes for me Chase?" Rocky said. "He won't come to my house I won't let him near you" Chase said. "I mean Ella and I were making progress with the whole water thing, now I feel like it is just brining it all back" Rocky said. "I get it man what you went through was rough. I understand the fear I would be scared too. I am afraid of Sweetie and she never actually touched me, I also have a fear of Mayor Humdinger now too as we did kidnap me and try to kill me once with a bomb" Chase said. "Yeah he scares me too but Chase my dad is supposed to be there for me, he isn't supposed to scare me" Rocky said. "I know I am sorry your dad was a jerk, but seriously it is cold out here come to my house" Chase said. Rocky nodded as he and Chase walked back to his house and Chase pulled out the extra mattress for Rocky as they both fell asleep.
The next morning Katie had breakfast made and was surprised when Chase came down with Rocky but didn't question it. She handed everyone a plate of pancakes "Thanks Mrs. Chapman" Rocky said, "Rocky please call me Katie, and you are welcome" Katie said. Everyone enjoyed breakfast then Chase texted his buddies and said.
Chase: Hey everyone lunch date at Mr. Porters?
Zuma: I am in see you there around 1230?
Zoe: I am in too!
Rubble: I will try might have to work
Chase: Come one dude I am only in town for today please come
Rubble: I will try
Marshall: working
Skye: I will be there as well
Eve: If I can bring the twins I am in too
Chase: Of course bring the little rascals!
"I really hope Rubble comes I am worried about him" Chase said, "Oh why is he okay?" Ryder asked. "Yeah Alyssa dumped him so I just want to make sure he is okay" Chase said. "Oh well break ups suck especially if you have been together for so long" Katie said. "Alright well thanks mom we will catch you later" Chase said as she and Rocky took off for the day. It was 1230 and everyone was at Mr. Porters and they were all having a good time waiting for Rubble really hoping he came. Finally at 1 pm he showed up, "Hey guys sorry I am late" Rubble said. "No problem how are you doing?" Chase asked. "Good I mean I have been working lots and it is a lot of fun" Rubble said. "Everything else is good with you?" Skye asked, "Yup all is good why are you guys asking?" Rubble asked. "No reason we just miss you" Rocky said wondering if she actually broke up with him. The girls decided to go for a walk and talk and Everest said "Chase can you watch the twins, I will be back shortly. They are asleep so it shouldn't be to much" "Okay" Chase said getting back to his conversation with Zuma.
"Did she break up with him?" Zoe asked, "I don't know she said she was going too, Rubble seems fine though" Skye said.
Everest was already texting Alyssa.
Everest: Hey girl how are you doing?
Alyssa: I've been better
Everest: Oh what's wrong?
Alyssa: I made a huge mistake, and now I am paying for it.
Everest: Where are you we are just at Mr. Porters, heading to park come meet us
Alyssa: Okay
The girls all walked to the park to meet up with Alyssa and Callie woke up noticing her mommy was missing and she climbed out of her stroller. Chase who was not paying attention he had no clue she could unbuckle her stroller clips. Callie walked over to the door and a man was walking in as she slipped out. "Mommy" Callie said walking around looking for her, Josh woke up and made a sound causing Chase to notice them "Shit where is Callie!" Chase said panicked. The boys jumped up quickly and searched for her. Chase ran outside and couldn't see her anywhere. "Oh my god!" Chase said panicking just then he saw his mom holding her across the street. "Oh thank god Callie why did you run off?" Chase said. "Mommy!" Callie said screaming. "I assume you were watching her?" Katie said. "Yes well sort of she was asleep and well I wasn't paying attention." Chase said sadly. "You are lucky I saw her she could have been hurt Chase, where is Everest?" Katie asked. "She went for a walk with the girls" Chase said. "Okay here I won't tell her but you should" Katie said handing Chase a screaming Callie. Chase walked back to Mr. Porters and everyone was relieved she was okay. Chase strapped her into the car seat extra tight and gave her some french fries it seemed to calm her down.
"What is going on Alyssa?" Skye asked, "I started seeing the other guy but decided that it wouldn't hurt to go out before breaking up with Rubble. Turns out Rubble caught me out with him and now he won't talk to me" Alyssa said crying. "He seems fine though we just saw him he didn't even mention you. Maybe you should talk to him, come with us to Mr. Porters." Ella insisted. "I don't know what if he hates me" Alyssa said, "I honestly don't think Rubble could hate anyone trust me" Skye said. They made their way back to Mr. Porters and Rubble saw Alyssa walk in with them "MOMMY!" Callie squealed as Everest gave her a kiss, "Hi were you good babies for your uncle?" Everest asked. "No mama, allie runned away" Josh said. "What?" Everest said. "She ran away for a minute but I got her back." Chase said, "yeah I should have warned you she is a little Houdini when it comes to straps" Everest said. "All good no harm done" Chase said relieved she wasn't mad. "Hey Rubble can we talk?" Alyssa asked him, "Sure I guess" Rubble said walking away with Alyssa. "What is going on?" Chase asked the girls, "turns out she never dumped him just went on date. Rubble caught her this is the first time they have talked in weeks" Skye said, "Yikes" the guys said. "Rubble I am so sorry, I don't know what I was thinking" Alyssa said, "I think you did Alyssa, I mean you chose to go out with him right? You never intended for me to see. If the date hadn't gone well I assume you wouldn't have said anything. If it had I am sure you would have dumped me right?" Rubble said, "I mean yes that did cross my mind, but Rubble I don't want to break up." Alyssa said. "Alyssa I am pretty sure your intent was to dump me so I guess when I walked away from you that night I didn't make it clear. I can't be with you anymore just knowing you cheated. I am sorry I can still be friends with you but I can't trust you so I can't be your boyfriend anymore" Rubble said walking away from her. "Sorry guys I have to go, Nice seeing you all again" Rubble said as she walked out of the cafe. Everyone hugged Alyssa but she had to know that was coming. "Well I deserved that honestly" Alyssa said, "You can still see the other guy though right?" Skye said. "Nah I didn't really have a good time with him, there are other fish in the sea I will find someone" Alyssa said feeling a bit hurt and guilty. "I hope so girl remember we love you and are here for you" Everest said. "I know thanks guys" Alyssa said. Everyone said their goodbyes as they were all having thanksgiving dinners with their families tonight.
Thanksgiving went really well and everyone had a good time. Chase, Skye, Ella and Rocky all had to get up early and drive back to Toronto the next Morning as Chase had a basketball game at 1 pm. They all said goodbye to their families the next morning and drove back to Toronto, "You know I love my family and all but it is just nice to be here with no one to boss us around" Chase said. "I can boss you around" Skye said. "I know but I like when you don't" Chase said grabbing her and pulling her onto the couch with him. Chase had to get ready for his game as he grabbed his gym stuff and they all walked over to the college. Ella noticed the same man from the park watching them, at least she thought it was. She didn't say anything as she couldn't be sure but it honestly did feel like he was watching her and Skye.
