It had been 2 weeks since the car accident and Rocky was finally discharged, Ella arrived to pick him up and take him home. Zuma was just waiting for his pelvis to heal more as it was broken in the accident. Rubble had been a little distant from everyone as he said he was doing research on something they could all do together. He didn't want to introduce it until Zuma was better though so everyone was curious. Rocky was relaxing on the couch at Ella's place as she was working on a design project. "Babe what would you say to finding our own place?" Rocky asked, "I would say it is to expensive and you don't have a job" Ella said. "I could easily get one plus I have ideas to start my own business, I am going to be a millionaire" Rocky said. "Well sweetheart until that happens we are stuck at our parents house." Ella said. "Okay well I am going to have to get to work then aren't I" Rocky said as he started designing his solar powered tech program.
Chase was working with Tavers as they had a pretty busy day searching for robbers who stole jewels from the jewelry store. Skye had a busy day as well she was flying several places but she was making lots of money she just loved her job. Everest had a busy day as well she was always busy with the twins especially when Marshall was working. Callie was screaming as usual because she didn't get her way. "Callie the more you throw your tantrum the less I wan to give you whatever it is you are screaming about" Everest said. This caused Callie to scream even louder and Josh had to cover his ears. Ryder came over and said "Hey we can hear the little miss screaming all the way next door is she okay?" "Who knows" Everest answered, Ryder knelt down to her level and said, "What is wrong baby girl?" "I want uncle Chase!" Callie said, "well he is at work right now but when he gets home I will send him over okay" Ryder said. "Okay" Callie said as her attitude completely changed. "That is not what she was screaming about when I asked her" Everest said. "She is 3 her mind will change a lot hang in there" Ryder said as he went back home.
Chase was finally done work and as per requested he stopped at Everest's and played with his niece and help get them both ready for bed. "Thank you" Everest said as she plopped down on the couch clearly exhausted from the day. Chase laughed and said "I was thinking Skye and I need to find our own place, I am tired of living under my parents rules. I mean I am almost 20 I feel like they shouldn't be allowed to tell me what to do" Chase said. "Being a mom I feel you but my kids will always be my first priority and your parents are just looking out for you" Everest said.
The next few weeks were hard for Zuma but he was finally discharged from the hospital but he still needed to take it easy. "I want to marry you Zoe" Zuma said, "I know baby and you will but I want you standing at the end of the aisle, everything for the wedding is still planned it is just on hold for now." Zoe said, "Okay Zoe I love you so much" Zuma said. "I love you to Zummy!" Zoe said as she kissed him and drove them back to Zuma's house. Rubble texted everyone,
Rubble: Hey all next day off everyone has together I have a new game I want to show everyone, so let me know.
Marshall: Sounds interesting, I have Saturday off
Chase: Me too I am in
Zuma: Well I won't be working anytime soon so I am in as well
Rocky: I am in too I like a challenge
Skye: I guess I'm in but I feel like this is going to be a guy thing
Zoe: Me too but I am in
Alyssa: Anything for you Rubble!
Ella: Okay sounds fun
Everest: If I can find a babysitter I will come as well
Saturday finally rolled around and and everyone met at Zuma's as he was still in a wheelchair recovering. "Okay so the game is called Magic the gathering and it basically card game. I have a bunch of decks I made for everyone." Rubble said as she explained the rules of the game, it took a bit of time as it was a lot to explain. "This is so confusing but lets give it a try" Chase said, they played for a bit then the girls lost interest as they were all kicked out. It was Chase, Rubble and Rock battling each other and Rubble has the life deck so he was gaining life as everyone else was losing it. "Your rigged this game, how is it that we lose life and every time you gain life. This is bullshit!" Chase said as he lost his last life. "Calm down Chase it is just a game." Skye said trying to calm him down, "No I am pissed its like he never lost life at all, I am never playing a game with you ever again Rubble" Chase said as he left. "What the hell was that?" Rubble asked, "Chase took that way to far what is his deal?" Marshall said. "I don't know but I will go find out" Skye said as she went after Chase. She found him sitting on the beach and said "What is going on Chase?" Skye said, "I don't know, that just really pissed me off, Rubble and his stupid game. I feel like he didn't explain it good enough and purposely took the life deck." Chase said. "Why does it matter it is just a game. I mean why is it bothering you?" Skye said, "It just is okay Skye, just go back inside" Chase said, "No I want to know what is bothering you" Skye said, "right now Skey you are bothering me" Chase said as he got up and walked away. Skye was hurt Chase had never said anything like this to her before, she cried and went back into Zuma's house. "Aw Skye what is wrong?" Ella said. "Chase is a jerk, I am not sure what his problem is but right now I don't care" Skye said as the girls comforted her.
Chase really had no idea what was bugging him he was just so angry, he had no reason to be and he blew up at Skye. Chase walked around Adventure Bay and he found himself in front of Sweetie's house and she just to happened to be outside. "Hello" she said, "Oh um hi" Chase said. "What brings you by?" Sweetie asked. "I never meant to end up here, I basically just blew up at my friends for no reason." Chase said, "Oh I get the feeling, I lost a lot of friends because of anger and blow ups. Do you want to talk about it?" Sweetie asked, "Not really, I just I am so angry and I don't know why" Chase said. "Well something happened recently obviously, did you do something different, or not get something you wanted?" Sweetie asked, "other than not being able to finance a house with Skye nothing. I wanted it to be surprise but since I am only a trainee I don't make enough money. I could always ask Skye but it bothers me how much money she makes over me" Chase said. "There you there is your reason, you want to be able to provide for Skye but you can't. She makes more money than you and it bothers you, you need to tell her how you feel" Sweetie said. "I just yelled at her she won't want to talk to me" Chase said breaking down. "Oh Chase there is nothing you could do that would make Skye stop talking to you. I have never seen someone so devoted to a guy, Skye loves you and as much as I wish you didn't I know you love her. Go get your girl back!" Sweetie said. "Thanks Sweetie, I am surprised you actually made me feel better" Chase said. "What can I say, being on house arrest and being deprived from people over the years has changed me. I am sorry for everything I did to you" Sweetie said. "Thanks" Chase said as he hugged her catching them both off guard as he walked back to Zuma's. At this point everyone was pissed at Chase he had no reason to be a jerk and yelling at them for no reason at all.
Chase knocked on the door and Zoe opened it, "Oh you're back" Zoe said as she wanted to close the door on him but she let him in. "I know none of you have a right to talk to me especially Skye and Rubble I am sorry. I have something I am dealing with and I took it out on all of you. I spoke to Sweetie and now I know how to fix it" Chase said. "You spoke to Sweetie? I mean seriously you could have talked to me and you chose my enemy!" Skye yelled at him. "I didn't plan to I just ran into her and she made me feel better." Chase said. "Fuck you Chase!" Skye said as she ran out the door and cried as she went home. "What was that?" Chase said. "If you don't know then you clearly don't know Skye very well" Ella said as she also left, "Dude you are in trouble" Rocky said following his fiancée. "It is okay Chase I forgive you next time you can have the life deck" Rubble said as he clapped him on the back. "Sorry I ruined the party" Chase said as everyone cleared out. Chase needed to fix things with Skye and he knew what she wanted him to do. He just wanted to do it in the perfect way, it was going to be a longer engagement but he knew it was the only way to win her back. Chase planned a romantic evening and one thing Skye loved more than flying were fireworks so he planned for the fireworks to spell out will you marry me.
It has been a few days and Skye was still not talking to Chase, "girl you need to talk to him, Chase loves you and he is moping. Even Callie says he is no fun" Everest said. "Fine but I am not going to forgive him that easy" Skye said as she agreed to go out with Chase. Skye waited as Chase picked her up it was an awkward car ride to the restaurant as Skye didn't say anything to him. "Baby I am so sorry, I never meant to hurt you. I didn't know I was going to run into Sweetie either. I just spoke to her briefly and she reminded me of how much I love you. I know that I screwed up I just really hope you can forgive me" Chase said. "Honestly Chase, what has been the problem with you lately. You freak out at the littlest things. I mean I am not sure if I like this angry Chase" Skye said. "I am not angry, I was just mad at something that happened earlier that day and it bothered me. I should have never freaked out the way that I did, especially at you. Skye baby I am so sorry" Chase said. "What was it you were angry about?" Skye said, "the bank wouldn't approve me to get a loan" Chase said. "For what?" Skye asked, "I want to buy us a house, I am tired of living under separate roofs, I miss you" Chase said. "I can buy us a house Chase" Skye said. "That's what has been bothering me though. I don't want you to have to buy us a house. I am the man I should be the one providing for you" Chase said. "Aw Chase I don't mind, and you will get your chance to provide for me. I love you and I don't ever want you to feel like my job is better than yours. You find missing people and solve crimes all I do is fly people around. Chase your job is more meaningful." Skye said, "I guess if you put it that way sure, I am sorry please forgive me" Chase said. "I forgive you now let's eat I am starving" Skye said as they ordered dinner.
After dinner was over Chase and Skye walked around the town and Skye said "Look baby fireworks!" with excitement as she watched and then she noticed "Will you Marry me?" spelled across the sky. She looked at Chase who was down on one knee, "Skye, I know I said I wasn't ready, and to be honest I'm not. I love you more than I could ever say, I don't ever want anything to come between us. If putting this ring on your finger will prove to you that I am only interested in you then. I will get down on my knee over and over again if it means I could spend lifetimes with you. You are the most beautiful girl in the world, Skye Sterling please marry me" Chase said. Skye cried "Oh my goodness, Chase I would love to marry you!" Skye squealed. "I know that this is a commitment but I am not ready to just jump into a wedding just yet." Chase said. "Neither am I let's just enjoy being engaged, Chase I love you so much" Skye said as she kissed him. They walked around for a bit longer and Chase dropped Skye off at home, "Chase I will look into getting us a house" Skye said. "Okay beautiful, I love you sweet dreams" Chase said kissing her goodnight.
With that the drama was over and Skye told everyone that Chase proposed but they were having a longer engagement.
