Rocky was working hard getting his prototype out on the market as he really wanted his company to work. His charging phone case was just that a prototype and he was having difficulty getting it to not heat the phone up. Right now it would charge the phone but the phone would get extremely warm he needed to figure out a new plan. Cassie was really sad that Chase was moving out, "do you have to go Chase?" Cassie asked, "yes it is time but Cassie I am just down the street, I am not leaving town this time. You can come visit me whenever you want, Skye and I even have a room set up for you" Chase told his sister. "Really?" Cassie said with excitement, "Yes but you are never to run away, mom or dad always need to know where you are got it" Chase told her. "Okay is that the cop talking?" Cassie said, "yes but it is also the big brother talking, I never want to have to go looking for you again, that was the scariest day of my life. I love you Cassie and I will always protect you" Chase said. "Aw my babies!" Katie said as she started to tear up. Ryder helped Chase load his stuff into the car and everyone said their goodbyes. "I can't believe you are moving out" Katie said, "Mom I am not going far" Chase said, "I know its just oh I am going to miss you" Katie said as she hugged him one last time. Chase drove the block to his new home and he admired it from the outside, "I can't believe this is my house" Chase said to his dad. "I can't either, good thing your fiancée is rich, otherwise that could be your house" Ryder said pointing to a shack a few houses down. " Thanks dad for be so insensitive" Chase said as he shoved his dad playfully. "I was just kidding sheesh, lets see what the inside looks like" Ryder said as this was his first time seeing the house.
Ryder was very impressed the place was designed and upgraded beautifully, "wow this is impressive" Ryder said as he looked around, "You think the inside is cool, check this out" Chase said as he opened the patio doors, "A pool wow you really went all out didn't you" Ryder said, "Skye loved it and I have to be honest, it was the only one that I agreed with her on" Chase said, "Well congrats, can't wait for you to invite us over for dinner" Ryder said as he hugged Chase and left him to the unpacking. Chase didn't really have that much to unpack as they bought the house fully furnished since Skye was in love with the furniture. Chase texted his friends,
Chase: Everyone party at my house this Saturday, bring swimsuits, and my new house not my old.
Skye: My house too!
Rocky: I will try come a little busy with work
Zuma: I will come and I will bring Rocky!
Rocky: I just said I might
Marshall: If I am off I will come, can the twins come too?
Chase: Of course they can
Everest: Than I am in
Chase: Ladies?
Ella: If Rocky comes so will I
Zoe: I am obviously in
Alyssa: Me too I will come
Rubble: I guess so
Alyssa: Boo babe be more excited
Rubble: Woooo I am in
Chase laughed as he left the chat now he was to unpack his clothes, as the master bedroom he had his own closet. Skye of course had the massive wardrobe walk in closet but Chase was happy either way. Skye was waiting for he next client and she was shocked at who entered the plane. "Sweetie?" Skye said, "Hey um look I just want to first off say I am so sorry for everything I did to you. I was not a nice person in high school, I have changed though I promise and I would really like to make it up to you. I know I don't deserve a second chance but I am really glad that you forgave Chase. I know what it is like to be angry, and I lost everyone because of it. I wanted to use your plane service today instead of taking my mom's jet because I needed to say sorry. I understand if you ask me to leave though" Sweetie said. "Wow I have to be honest I was not expecting that, I will fly you where are you going?" Skye asked. "I need to just go to Los Angeles for a audition" Sweetie said. "Alright let's go" Skye said as Sweetie took her seat, Skye and Sweetie talked the whole time they were in the air and Skye was genuinely surprised that deep down Sweetie really did have a heart. "Thank you, here is your money" Sweetie said, "You aren't going to need a ride back?" Skye asked. "Nope, I will use my mom's jet, plus I am here for a few days." Sweetie said. "Okay well if you are back before Saturday we are having a pool party at our new house you should come" Skye said. "Thanks if I am back I will try come" Sweetie said as she left and Skye flew back to Adventure Bay.
Chase's vacation time was over and he headed back to work as Tavers said, "well Chase this is it my last shift with you" "Wait what?" Chase said, "yup I am moving, and you are ready Chase, I have seen you solve cases faster and more effectively then I ever did. Ace is right there with you, he knows his stuff. I and the police force have full faith in you" Tavers said. "I am not ready for this" Chase said. "You are Chase, and to prove it to you here is a case" Tavers said handing Chase a file. Chase read it and it was a murder case, "Okay, Ace let's go" Chase said as he drove over to the murder victims house to speak to his wife. Chase knocked and the wife answered she was in tears, "come in" she said as she took them to the living room, "Hi ma'am what can you tell me about your husband?" Chase asked. "He was in his study that is where I found him, he works from home a lot. I was out for the day I had my hair done, and did a few errands around town. I came home and found him. The front door was unlocked and open slightly, I am not sure what happened there was just so much blood" the wife said. "Mind if I take a look in his office?" Chase asked, "No go ahead the police have is sealed off" the wife said, Chase and Ace went into the office as Chase put on some gloves, "Look around Ace" Chase instructed his pup, there was a cup of liquid on the table and Chase examined it, he let Ace smell it and he sat down and barked. "Have this run to the lab and tested" Chase told a forensics guy that was still there. Chase also looked at the body, and he didn't know where the blood was coming from. "What is your assessment here?" Chase asked the forensics team looking at the body. "Well I am not sure, he was stabbed several times in the chest and stomach, but the victim appeared to have been dead before he was stabbed. I am not sure yet what he died from but as you can see here he has blue lips, and fingertips" the lead tech said. "You think he was poisoned?" Chase asked. "That would be my guess but I can't be sure yet, I need to run some more tests" the tech said as they loaded up the body" It didn't take long for the results to come back and Chase heard from the tech, "he was poisoned first, the liquid you sent and the analysis on his blood came back cyanide poisoning." Chase drove back to the victim's house and arrested the wife, as he knew she did it.
The wife confessed several minutes later as she just wanted some peace from him and he refused to leave. "See Chase, I never did anything to help you, and you solved it before the day was done." Tavers said. "Okay thank you for everything Tavers, you were the reason I wanted to become a detective." Chase said, "hey don't be going all mopey on me, Good Luck and if you ever need me just call" Tavers said as he hugged Chase. It was finally Saturday and Chase and Skye were excited for their party they wouldn't let anyone see their house before the party. So everyone was coming in with fresh eyes and they were all excited. Rubble and Alyssa arrived first and Chase gave them a tour, "Wow this place is incredible" Alyssa said, "yeah the design structure is amazing" Rubble said. Chase laughed as he took them to the backyard, "Now this is wicked!" Rubble said as he relaxed on a beach chair, Everest and Marshall arrived with the twins next and they received a tour as well. Of course Callie and Josh were not interested so Chase took them to the pool while Skye showed them the house. Zuma, Zoe, Ella and Rocky were the last to show up as Chase showed them around and everyone was in the backyard having a good time. Everyone was swimming except for Rocky of course but he was till having fun, Callie was showing everyone how good of a swimmer she was, Rocky was a bit jealous. He never did get the chance to ever swim as he was always to afraid to try, now he was almost 20 and still had no idea how. Chase was shocked when he heard the doorbell rang as he thought all his friends were already here. He wrapped a towel around himself and went to the front door. "Hi" Sweetie said, "Umm hi" Chase said a bit confused, "Skye invited me" Sweetie said. "She did did she, hmm well come in" Chase said as he showed her around. "This is impressive" Sweetie said as they finished the tour and everyone gasped when she walked into the backyard. "Hi, I owe a lot of apologies around especially to you Rocky. You never deserved any of what I did to you, and I understand fully if you don't forgive me. I am truly sorry and I hope one day you can forgive me, for now I will just stay out of your way" Sweetie said as she sat as far away from him as possible.
"Why is she here?" Rocky asked, "I invited her, she seems like she has changed, I am giving her the benefit of the doubt. I don't expect a full circle but she deserves a chance" Skye said. Rocky wasn't so sure, Sweetie was talking to Ella, "I hear you are getting married to Rocky, congrats I haven't found the one yet. How's your brother?" Sweetie asked, "Thank you, I am sure you will one day. Tuck is good he is with Tracker they are in Africa right now, he is working as a vet and Tracker as a safari guide. He emails me a lot he loves it there" Ella said. "Rocky is still afraid of water?" Sweetie asked, "yes and I feel he always will be" Ella said, "I feels so bad for everything I did. I wish there was a way I could take back everything I did" Sweetie said. "The fact that you are acknowledging it is huge, Rocky will come around he doesn't hold grudges" Ella said as she walked away joining her man.
There was a huge volleyball game going on in the pool and Chase was being very competitive, Rocky was judging it was guys vs girls and the guys were winning. Callie and Josh were playing with some toys on the lawn. Chase made burgers and hotdogs on the grill for everyone and they all sat and ate. "I know this is going to sound incredibly lame, but Zuma do you think you can teach me to swim?" Rocky asked. "Of course dude, right now?" Zuma asked. "I don't know if I could do it with everyone staring" Rocky said, "We won't watch" Chase said as he started a bocce game on the lawn. Rocky was barely in the water and he was already freaking out. "Dude let the water do the work, take a breath and trust me" Zuma said. Rocky took a breath and let Zuma hold him. Rocky was floating on his back as Zuma had his hands under him, "just breathe Rocky, I promise you won't drown" Zuma said, Rocky found floating in water kinda peaceful as he was actually relaxing. Just then Josh came and did a cannonball and it caused Rocky to go under a little and he freaked out. "Okay that is enough for one day" Rocky said as Zuma pulled him up. "Joshua that wasn't very nice" Everest said, "Sorry uncle Rocky" Josh said as he swam around the pool. "The fact that he is 4 and can swim makes me jealous" Rocky said, "He has been in swim lessons since he was 1" Marshall said. Ella covered Rocky with a towel and everyone changed into some warmer clothes as it was starting to get darker, Chase lit his bonfire pit and he let the kids roast marshmallows. It was about 9pm when Everest and Marshall took Callie and Josh home as they were getting sleepy. Everyone else also decided to call it a night as most of them had work in the morning. Chase cuddled Skye as they watched the bonfire burn out, "I love you Chase" Skye said, "I love you to babe, today was good, I had fun" Chase said, "me too, and hey we even had Rocky in the pool. I say it was a huge success" Skye said. "Absolutely and he might even to do it again" Chase said as he kissed Skye's forehead, Chase put water on the fire and made sure it was completely out. Chase picked Skye up and carried her up to their room where they were intimate. Chase was finally able to have alone time with Skye without worrying about interruptions
"A girl could get used to this" Skye said as Chase finished and he pulled her into a cuddle as she lay on his chest. "I love that no one will interrupt us either" Chase said. "Mmm" Skye said as she fell asleep wrapped in Chase's arms. Chase fell asleep shortly after as he breathed in the warm scent of Skye's hair.
