Le printemps n'est pas une bonne saison pour tout le monde. Combiné aux bruits stridents de leur nouveau bureau de New-York, il a un effet terrible sur Illya. Et Napoléon a beau y réfléchir, il n'y a qu'une seule chose - bien enfantine - qu'il connaît pour contrer ça.

Illya struggles to keep his voice from cracking, sweat plastering his fringe to his face. His shoulders are stiff, drawn like a tightrope. He has never been quite so aware of every cell in his body, nor just how loud his thoughts can be. He’s torn, trying to watch both the T.H.R.U.S.H agents prowling the room, and keep focus on his partner.

Solo says nothing, only offers a crooked smile, but across the fire his eyes are twin blue tunnels. His face is unreadable as the light simmers and swirls across his skin. Illya feels the burn on his tongue, the one that means there are words he could let out. That he could open his scarred lips and set them free like fireflies from a jar.

Napoleon Solo is used to things rearranging themselves around him. He looks like a rich man. Dresses with the care of a body who is used to comfort. Though it is nothing but a clever facade: He is a thief.

Napoleon Solo prefers to work alone for a very simple reason. Rome complicates it inordinately.

"There is Nothing Here." If there were ever a sign to make a person suspect that there was something interesting on the other side of a locked door, it would be that one. Naturally, Solo steals it. He doesn't seem to appreciate the irony, but Illya does. Gaby, too, apparently, since she's the one who dared him to.

I wasn't happy with the ending to the 2015 film "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," I felt this was the last chance to actually tie the film into the series more closely. So I re-wrote the dialog into this.

The morning starts the same as any other. Waking up to a vibrating alarm, shadows curling at the corner of his vision as he forces his eyes open- the few hours of sleep burning through his body like acid. Sometimes, there is just no use fighting things
