Sitting on the living room sofa was a young man named Hayden Pestal. He was 20 years old, an ordinary-looking person, with white/Caucasian skin, shoulder-length dark brown hair tied back in a low tail and green eyes. He wore jeans, a black T-shirt, a black shirt with the sleeves wrapped around his waist and gray converse shoes.

He had a classic routine for someone his age: get up, go to school and come home. It was currently summer vacation, so he could relax, his father was away on business, so he had the house to himself.

With no one around to disturb him, he picked up his TV remote and, zapping around on Netflix to figure out what to watch, he found his childhood favorite, the original Ben 10 cartoon. Driven by nostalgia, he decided to start episode 1.

Suddenly, a bright blue portal opened beneath his feet.

"What the hell?!" he shouted, trying to grab hold of something.

But it was in vain, as he was sucked into the blue vortex.

"Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit!" he shouted as he was drawn into the portal, which closed as soon as he entered.

The next few minutes were very chaotic, as he was free-falling through what could best be described as a tunnel of blue energy, and there was a bright light at the bottom. When he reached the bottom, there was a flash of light, he felt an impact, then he lost consciousness.

As he began to wake up, he heard a group of voices.

"Is he going to be all right?" asked a worried girl's voice.

"He'll be all right, Gwen." Answered an older man's voice.

"Where did he come from?" Asked a young boy's voice.

"He's waking up, maybe he can tell us." Said the old man.

When his vision had finally returned to normal, he was greeted by the sight of three familiar people. An elderly man wearing a red Hawaiian shirt and white pants, a 10-year-old girl with orange hair and bright green eyes, wearing a light blue t-shirt with dark blue sleeves, with a cat logo on the chest and white pants, and finally a boy also 10 years old with brown hair and bright green eyes, wearing a white t-shirt with a single vertical black stripe down the center of the chest and dark green pants.

He knew who it was: the old man was Max Tennyson, the girl was Gwen Tennyson and the boy was Ben Tennyson. He had to hold back his surprise at this point to avoid looking suspicious.

"Are you all right, my boy?" Max asked.

Hayden shook his head out of his stupor.

"Yes, I'm fine." He replied, straightening up.

Looking around, he saw that he was in Max's Rust Bucket.

"Where am I?" He asked, looking confused.

"You're in our grandfather's Rust Bucket, we found you passed out back there." Gwen replies. She then crosses her arms. "What were you doing in a place like that?" She asked with a puzzled look.

"I don't remember how I got there." He replied, rubbing his head, feeling a slight pain, he guessed he'd hit his head on landing.

"Do you have someone you can contact?" Max asked.

He reached for his phone, which he had in his pocket when the portal sucked him in, but when he saw his reflection on his phone's switched-off screen, he gasped. His body looked 15 years old again. This surprised him, but he had to do all he could to keep his composure so as not to alarm the Tennysons.

Also suspecting that his phone was capable of calling his parents, he decided to lie.

"No, I don't have anyone." he says.

Max rubs his chin.

"What's your name?" Max asked.

"Hayden, Hayden Pestal." He replied.

"Well Hayden, if you've got nowhere to go, I suppose you could stay with us for a while." Max offered with a smile.

"Thank you, sir." Hayden said, returning the old man's smile.

Max gave an amused chuckle.

"Call me Max, and these are my grandchildren Ben and Gwen." He said, introducing the two ten-year-olds.

"At least now I'm not stuck alone with that idiot all summer." Said Ben with a teasing tone toward Gwen.

Thus began a little battle of words between the two cousins. Hayden stood up and turned his head to look Max in the eye, oddly enough they had both said the same thing.

"It's going to be a long summer."

A few hours later, night fell and Max set up camp near the woods. Hayden knew right away that this was the night Ben would get the Omnitrix, and that he was going to be there to witness it. He was sitting with the two kids at the picnic table when Max brought a bowl full of worms still in motion. All three of them had looked at the dish.

"Well, I give up, what is it?" Ben asked.

"Pickled mealworms, you know they're considered a delicacy in some countries." Max says enthusiastically.

"And totally disgusting in others." Said Gwen with disgust.

Hayden could only agree with the children.

"If you're not interested, I've got some smoked mutton tongue in the freezer." Max suggests.

God, I want to throw up.

"Eug, couldn't we just have a hamburger or something?" Ben pleaded.

"Yes, Max, I'm not normally picky, but even I can't stomach this." Plaid Hayden in turn.

"This summer's going to be an adventure for your taste buds, I'll take care of the tongue." Said Max as he entered the Rust Bucket.

Ben slid in next to Gwen.

"I've got a half-eaten packet of potato chips and a chocolate bar in my backpack, what's wrong with you?" He whispered.

"Some rice cakes and hard candy." Gwen replied.

"Do you think we can make them last all summer?" Asked Ben, they all slumped as they realized the futility of their situation.

Later, each of them was doing their own thing, Ben was playing on his games console, Hayden was on his phone and Gwen was on her computer. Max came out of the Rust Bucket with a bag of marshmallows.

"Who wants to roast marshmallows?" He asked.

"I do." Hayden replied, putting down his phone.

Ben and Gwen didn't answer.

"Who wants to tell scary stories?" Said Max, trying to get the kids' attention.

"I know one or two good scary stories." Says Hayden, trying to help.

"Scarier than spending the summer with your monster cousin?" Said Ben with a smug laugh.

"Ben, that's really rude." Hayden grumbled, frowning.

Gwen glanced at Ben before returning to her computer.

"I'd love to Grumpa, but I'm doing a web search on cures for extreme dullness, not much so far but let's not give up hope, Ben." Gwen replied smugly.

"Come on you two, we're all in this together, so either you mope like that all summer, or we'll have some fun." He said encouragingly.

"Hayden's right, now what do you say?" Max nodded.

"I vote for gloom." Said Gwen in a monotone.

"I'm going for a walk, I can feel you around Gwen." Said Ben as he stood up and started walking through the woods.

Hayden turned to Max.

"I'll keep an eye on Ben." He said as he started walking behind Ben.

It took a while, but he caught up with Ben just in time to hear him moping.

"Oh man, this is going to be the worst summer ever, I might as well have gone to summer school."

"Ben, I've been to summer school before and trust me, you're better off here." He said to get her attention.

Ben flinched slightly and turned to face him.

"Man, you almost gave me a heart attack." He said.

Hayden chuckled and rubbed the back of his head.

"Sorry about that, Ben." He apologized.

Ben looked up at the sky and saw something, he looked up too and saw what looked like a shooting star, which was actually the capsule in which the Omnitrix had been dropped to get it out of Vilgax's reach.

"Woah, a shooting star!" Ben said in wonder.

Then it all happened, the shooting star made a 90-degree turn in mid-air and started hurtling towards them! It crashed a few meters from them and landed with enough force to send them both flying.

As he regained his bearings, Hayden looked at the huge crater in the ground. Ben was on the ground right next to him.

"Ben, you okay, man?" he asked, shaking him.

Fortunately, Ben got to his feet.

"Yeah, I'm all right. Was it?" He asked him.

"I don't know, you want to go see?" He asked.

They stood up and approached the crater, as Hayden had expected, there was a single spherical metal capsule in the center. Ben crouched down to examine it better.

"Looks like a satellite or something." he said.

The ground suddenly gave way under their combined weight and they both slid into the crater. After regaining their balance, the capsule made a mechanical noise and the top opened, that was it. What Hayden hadn't expected were the TWO glowing green hourglass symbols. His thoughts were racing, two Omnitrixes, there had to be only one. He was pulled out of my thoughts when Ben asked a question aloud.

"Watches, what are they doing in space?" He said.

He grinned and reached for the familiar black-and-white prototype of the Omnitrix. As in the episode, the Omnitrix jumped onto his wrist and locked on, but the second Omnitrix jumped up and latched onto Hayden's wrist! They both stepped back and Ben began waving his arm, trying in vain to remove the Omnitrix.

"Let go, let go, let go!" he shouted as he tried to remove it, then fell to the floor of the crater.

Hayden was surprised. He clearly hadn't expected this, and he was glad he hadn't! Ben extricates himself from the crater.

"Grumpa!" he shouted as he took off running.

Hayden extricated himself from the crater and pursued Ben.

"Ben, wait!" he shouted, chasing after him.

When he caught up, I found him trying to pull the Omnitrix out with a stick, but the stick broke. Sighing in exasperation, Ben fell to his knees and examined the alien watch that had clung to him.

"Ben, are you all right?" Hayden asked, kneeling in front of him.

He looked up at him and his eyes locked on his Omnitrix.

"You got one stuck on you, too?" he asked.

He nodded and raised his arm to better examine his Omnitrix. Examining the Omnitrix strapped to his wrist, he noticed that it looked exactly like Ben's Omnitrix in Ben 10 Omniverse.

The watch itself looked like a digital wristwatch. Its faceplate was square rather than round, and sported white, green and black colors. The faceplate was black with two green stripes forming the hourglass outline of the Galvan tech logo.

"Yes, that's right." He said as Ben began experimenting with his Omnitrix, trying to remove it, which caused the core to appear on his.

Hayden began to examine the Omnitrix on his wrist. He pressed a hidden button on one side of the dial, which raised the front plate and revealed the core. The latter rose and displayed a green hologram of a familiar alien made of fire and rocks, the hourglass symbol on Ben's turned into a diamond and displayed a silhouette of the same alien inside.

"Cool." Ben said as he pushed in the core.

Hayden did the same at the same time, and in a flash of green light, they both transformed into Pyronites, their bodies made of red rocks and burning fire, and the Omnitrix logos were on their chests, the only difference being that Hayden's Omnitrix logo was green and Ben's white, and the rocks that made up Hayden's body were a slightly darker red.

As soon as he transformed, his head was filled with information about Pyronites, their abilities and their home planet, which he already knew, but now he knew how to use all Heatblast's powers. Which meant the Data Dump function was working properly.

"AHHHHHHHHH! I'M ON FIRE, I'M ON FIRE!" Shouted Ben, who was panicking.

Hayden just looked at him and facepalmed.

"Ben..." He said in a low, squeaky voice, trying to get his attention, unfortunately he was still panicking.

"SOMEONE GET ME OUT! SOMEBODY PUT ME OUT!" Ben shouted, running in circles.

Hayden groaned and grabbed him by the shoulders, which made him realize that he was still taller than him, even as a Pyronite, which made sense given that he was a teenager and his alien forms are slightly different from Ben's.

"Ben, listen to me, you're not on fire, you're made of fire." Heatblast-Hayden said this while holding him by the shoulders.

Ben calmed down and Hayden let go of him, he began to study his new fire body.

"You're right, I'm on fire and I'm fine. Look, I'm totally hot!" Said Heatblast-Ben, laughing at his pun, and Heatblast-Hayden let out a small laugh.

"Literally, it's Heatblast." He said before turning to a tree. "Aha, oh yeah, here we go!" He then points his finger at the tree and fires a fireball that blows a branch off the truck. "I love that!"

He put his hands together and created a fireball.

"Wait...Ben, no!" Heatblast-Hayden shouted, trying to stop Ben before he started a forest fire!

He didn't listen and launched the fireball, which not only destroyed the trunk of a tree, but also set it ablaze.

"Wait, stop!" Heatblast-Ben ran toward the flames and tried to put them out by stomping on them, which only spread the flames. "Oh, I'm going to get arrested for this. That would be so cool, if it wasn't so, so uncool."

Heatblast-Hayden ran up beside him and I looked down at him.

"What the hell, Ben, what were you thinking?!" Heatblast-Hayden said grumpily.

"Dude, relax." Said Heatblast-Ben, which made him sigh.

"Okay Ben, we'll talk about it later, right now we need to... Huh?" Heatblast-Hayden was interrupted by something that struck me.

Turning and looking down, he saw Gwen holding a fire extinguisher and looking at them both, then she shouted.

"I know we look weird, but there's no reason to be..." Said Heatblast-Ben before being interrupted when Gwen hit him with the fire extinguisher.

"Hey..." Heatblast-Hayden was interrupted again when Gwen hit him with the fire extinguisher, extinguishing the flames from his head. "Bluuurgh, that's disgusting, I've got a bit in my mouth!" He said, spitting out some foam and reigniting his flames.

Gwen backed away, keeping her eyes on both of us.

"I don't know what you two are, but you'll stay down if you know what's good for you!" She says, keeping the fire extinguisher pointed at us.

Heatblast-Ben grimaces and causes a small fire on Gwen's shoe, who panics and quickly puts it out.

"I warned you!" She shouts.

"Don't even think about it, Cousin!" Heatblast-Ben retorted, standing up and smiling.

Gwen's eyes widened, finally recognizing him.

"Ben, is that you?" She asks.

"He's not the only one, Gwen." Says Heatblast-Hayden, putting his hands on his hips.

"Hayden, you too?" She asked.

"Yes." He replied.

Then she looked at them both.

"What happened to you?" She asks.

"Well, as we were walking, a meteorite came out of nowhere, but it wasn't a meteorite or a satellite, but these super cool watches that jumped onto our wrists, and then we caught fire. But it wasn't, and all of a sudden, I accidentally caused a mega forest fire!" Heatblast-Ben is quick to explain.

"Gwen, what did you find?" Said Max as he entered the fiery clearing and spotted them.

"Hey Grumpa, guess who?" Said Gwen, pointing at them.

"It's me, Grumpa." Says Heatblast-Ben, waving.

"Hi, Max." Says Heatblast-Hayden in turn.

"Ben, Hayden, what happened to you two?" Max asks.

Ben was about to explain when Gwen pointed out.

"Uh, a big forest fire burning out of control?" She says.

Ben looked around.

"What do we do?" He asks Max.

"You have to light a new fire and let it burn in the old one; they'll extinguish each other." Max explained. "You think you can both do that?"

This made Heatblast-Hayden smile.

"Shooting flames, it's entirely possible. Come on Ben, get to work!" He shouted, and off they ran into the forest.

Once away from the initial fire, they both raised their hands and unleashed a torrent of flames to start a new fire, their objective achieved, they returned to camp with Max and Gwen. The four of them were sitting around a campfire, and Ben was explaining to his Grumpa what had happened to them.

"And you're saying those watches just jumped out and latched onto your wrists?" Max asked with a puzzled look.

Ben began chewing a marshmallow and held up his hands in defense.

"Hey, it wasn't my fault this time, I swear!" Said Heatblast-Ben defensively.

"I believe you, Ben." Says Max.

"Do you think they'll stay monsters forever?" Asked Gwen.

"They're not monsters, they're aliens." Max replied.

"Technically speaking, we're Pyronites, but I was thinking of calling this form Heatblast." Said Heatblast-Hayden, which made everyone look at him.

"How do you know that?" Max asked, frowning.

"Uh... When I took this form, my head was filled with all kinds of information about this particular alien." He replied, not really lying, the Data Dump function was working and his head was filled with information about Pyronites.

"Okay, now what, I don't want to be Heatblast forever, how am I supposed to play in my soccer club this year if I char the ball every time I touch it?" Heatblast-Ben asked.

"Don't worry Ben, we'll find a solution together." Max assured his grandson.

A beep sounded as the white Omnitrix symbol on Ben's chest flashed red, then, in a flash of bright red, returned to normal. Ben looks down at himself and smiles.

"I'm me again!" Ben exclaimed.

Gwen pouts.

"Too bad, I liked you better when you were a briquette, but Hayden, why didn't you change back?" Gwen asked.

He looked at the green Omnitrix logo on his chest and an idea crossed his mind.

"I think I know, I'll try something." He said before getting up and walking away. "Upgrade."

In a flash of green light, he transformed into a Galvanic Mechamorph, his entire body green and black with green and black circuitry, a single circular eye and the green Omnitrix logo on his chest.

"XLR8." He switched to Kinnecelerian form.

Then he became himself again and looked at the Omnitrix on his wrist.

"I must have access to Master Control... But why?" he asked himself in a low voice.

Before anyone could wonder why Hayden could do this, Ben struggled to remove the Omnitrix. This reassured Hayden, who was able to take more time to come up with a credible hypothesis.

"I still can't get it off." Said Ben.

"You can try as hard as you like, Ben, I think this thing is indestructible." He said to Ben.

Max told him he was going to check out the crash site and told them to stay here and that Ben shouldn't play with the Omnitrix. Naturally, Ben started playing with his Omnitrix a little later, trying to figure out how it worked.

"I wonder what it does." he thought as Gwen appeared out of nowhere.

"Gotcha, hahahaha." Gwen laughed after her cousin's gasp.

"Hahahah, very funny, like your face." Ben scoffed.

As for Hayden, he inspected the aliens available on his Omnitrix while listening to the children squabbling.

"They're arguing like an old married couple... I should calm down because this Ship exists." he joked.

He finished inspecting and found that, like Ben, he had 10 aliens, but to his great joy, they were 10 of his favorite aliens.

There was Heatblast, XLR8, Upgrade, a two-eyed version of Chromastone, Grey Matter, Swampfire, Snare-oh, Big Chill, an unknown alien with the look of a Power Rangers snake monster, and Amphibian.

He was a little disappointed that Ghostfreak wasn't there. But remembering what was to come later, he was glad. The episode where he comes out of the Omnitrix was the only one that had scared him in the whole series.

"Come on, aren't you a little curious to know how it works?" Ben asked Gwen.

"Not in the least." Gwen retorted.

"Are you sure you're related to me?" Ben asked her. "Look, if I can figure out how to make this thing work, I might be able to help people, really help them, not just make things worse, besides Hayden can help me, he seems to be doing the same."

"I've only looked at the Aliens at my disposal. But seeing as you want to use the Omnitrix to help people, why not?" Hayden said, sitting down next to the children.

"So, what's it like to turn into an alien like that?" Asks Gwen.

"I was scared at first, it was like I was me, but also like I was someone else." Ben replies.

"Did you try pressing the button?" Said Hayden as he pressed the button on the side of Ben's Omnitrix, causing the core to appear.

"Okay, should I try again, just once?" Ben asked impatiently as Gwen scrolled through the silhouettes until he stopped on one that looked like a quadrupedal creature.

"I wouldn't if I were you." Said Gwen.

Ben rolled his eyes.

"No, of course you wouldn't." Said Ben.

Then he pressed the nucleus and, in a flash of light, Ben became a big orange dog-like creature with no eyes, gills on his neck, and the white Omnitrix emblem on a splint on his shoulder.

He transformed into Wildmutt, and let out a roar.

"Yuck, he's even uglier than you, and he's got no eyes? What's the point if he can't see, wow he needs a flea collar." Said Gwen, examining this new alien.

She smirked and grabbed a stick to hit Ben in the hindquarters. Wildmutt's neck gills flared and he could see through his vision type that Gwen was about to hit him, he jumped out of the way and onto the roof of the Rust Bucket to avoid being hit, causing Gwen to fall. Wildmutt smiles at Gwen, and Eve and I laugh.

"Okay, maybe he's not such a loser." Gwen admitted.

"Yes, Gwen, seeing as he has no eyes, I suppose his gills allow him to echolocate with smells. But it's true that he looks like a wild dog. Ah well, Wildmutt's a good name." Hayden said with an amused smile.

Wildmutt-Ben leapt back onto the ground in front of Gwen.

"Ew, two words, breath, mint." Gwen complained, smelling Wildmutt's breath.

Ben then moved to the right and began kicking dirt into Gwen's face. Ben then went deeper into the forest.

"Ben, come back here! I'm going to tell Grumpa that you turned into a weird animal monster and swung into the forest when he told you not to! It's been a really weird day." Says Gwen.

"Come on, let's catch up." Said Hayden, activating his Omnitrix. He selected an alien, hit the core and in a flash of green light transformed into Big Chill.

He unfolded his wings and held out his hand to Gwen.

"I'll hold you." Said Big Chill-Hayden as he carried Gwen into a nuptial position, which made her blush.

Hayden was glad this alien was incapable of blushing, because when he was 5, he'd had a crush on her when he watched the show.

And with that, he took off into the sky, flying fast. Gwen hugged Hayden's neck, worried about falling. In no time, they caught up with Ben, who was back to being who was about to be attacked by a pair of drones.

"Ben, look out!" he shouted.

He used his Big Chill breath to freeze the drones, which didn't seem to have spotted him, and they fell to the ground, shattering into pieces. He landed and set Gwen down, who smashed the remains of the drones against the other drone with a shovel.

"No can will hurt my cousin!" She shouted, continuing to hit the drone with the shovel.

Ben looks at her.

"I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm glad to see you." Says Ben.

Big Chill-Hayden then picked up Ben and Gwen and they flew back to camp. They were now in the Rust Bucket and Ben was being lectured by Max.

"I was afraid you were going to get into trouble with that thing on your wrist, Ben, which is why I told you not to use it until we know what it is." Max says.

Ben bows his head in shame.

"Sorry Grumpa, but at least I know how to work it now, Hayden showed me, first you press this button, then when the ring appears, you turn it until you see the guy you want to be, you press it, and boom, you're one of the 10 super cool alien guys!" Ben says vigorously.

"Ben, even though it's super cool, these devices aren't toys. Given what they can do, they're probably the most powerful pieces of technology in the universe-if they got into the wrong hands, who knows what could happen." Says Hayden, referring subliminally to Vilgax.

"How about you stay a super cool alien and don't turn into an old pizza face?" Gwen teased.

Ben pouted.

"I haven't figured that part out yet. Hayden, you're able to stay an alien for longer, how do you do it?" Ben asked.

"I don't know, maybe the fact that I'm older means I don't have some kind of parental control that time-limits my transformations." Hayden surmised, still wondering why he had Master Control.

In any case, from the looks of things, Azmuth hadn't just given it to him.

"Oh, you're so lucky." Said Ben.

The radio came on and a park ranger reported that he'd been attacked by a giant robot.

"These people are in trouble because of me, I think I can help them." Ben said as he stood up.

"What can you do, Tennyson?" Gwen asked.

Ben looked at his Omnitrix and smiled, Hayden smiled back. They got out of the Rust Bucket and Ben activated his Omnitrix, he did the same.

Ben chose an alien and pressed the core.

Hayden chose the same alien and pressed the core.

They both changed into Diamondhead and Chromastone, although given the physical differences Hayden thought of giving him another name, an alien made entirely of crystals.

Ben's version wore a black and white jumpsuit with the Omnitrix logo on the upper left chest.

"So, what can this guy do?" Gwen asked.

"Ben's can transform the crystals in his body into various weapons, and he can control crystals, launch crystal shards from his body, deflect laser beams and regrow damaged body parts... I have the same abilities, but I seem to have others." Chromastone-Hayden replied.

"I like it... why not Diamondhead." Said Diamondhead-Ben.

"Nice. For me, I think it's going to be... StoneSaver." Smiled StoneSaver-Hayden, remembering Sugilite, the alien whose DNA enabled Ben to become Chromastone from Alien Force.

They entered the scene and saw a giant robot attacking people, it was the drone Vilgax had sent to retrieve the Omnitrix.

"Looks like it's Daddy Robot this time, we'll get his attention, you get the campers to safety." Said Diamondhead-Ben.

Max and Gwen ran to escort the campers out.

"Hey, metalhead!" Shouted Diamondhead-Ben as StoneSaver-Hayden ran, having an idea in mind.

The drone turned its head in our direction, its targeting system focusing on StoneSaver-Hayden's Omnitrix symbol.

"You want to pick on someone? Try me!" Diamondhead-Ben shouted.

The drone raised one of its arms and fired a laser at him, but he dodged it by jumping in the opposite direction to where StoneSaver-Hayden had gone. Diamondhead-Ben turned his right arm into a blade and lunged at the robot, trying to sever one of its legs.

He leapt into the air to avoid her attack, Diamondhead-Ben came from behind and punched the back of the robot's head, he staggered forward a little and raised an arm to shoot at Diamondhead-Ben, he just missed but hit a tree that almost fell on Gwen, but fortunately Diamondhead-Ben interposed himself in time and sliced the tree in two moving the crystals on his back.

"So, are we even?" Diamondhead-Ben asked Gwen.

Gwen nodded.

"We're even," she said.

Ben was lifted into the air by the robot, which tried to rip off his left arm, but destroyed the robot's hand by transforming his arm into a blade covered in spikes.

StoneSaver-Hayden, now wearing a cloth over his torso to conceal the Omnitrix symbol on his chest, raised both arms and fired crystal shards at the robot, raising one of his arms to protect himself for the most part, the shards embedding themselves in the robot's arm.

The robot used its remaining valid arm to fire a laser at StoneSaver-Hayden, who raised both hands to block it, pushing it back but trying to anchor himself to the ground. It was then that he remembered the move Ben had used to finish off the robot in the first episode.

He reflected the laser back onto the drone.

"Let's see how you like it!" He shouted as he delivered the coup de grace, and the robot exploded.

When the smoke cleared, Ben and I were still standing.

"You're okay." They heard Max shout. In the chaos, he and the others had escorted people to safety.

"Oh yeah, we rock!" Diamondhead-Ben shouted, jumping for joy at his first victory. "Well, I guess our work here is done." He said before they both left.

The next morning, they were packing up the camp equipment to get ready to hit the road.

"Hey, where's Ben?" Max asked.

Gwen and Hayden shrugged, but Hayden knew where he was, but he wasn't going to say. Especially since if he'd been in his place, he'd have been far more sadistic.

"I haven't seen him since breakfast." Said Gwen.

They heard a noise in the distance coming closer, a blue blur moving very fast, it stopped in front of them and kicked up a cloud of dust. Once the dust settled, we could see what it was, it was Ben in the form of XLR8.

"Ben?" Max asked.

"Yeah, you weren't kidding Hayden when you told me how fast that guy was!" said XLR8-Ben.

He and Ben had taken advantage of the night to compare the aliens they'd had access to last night after defeating the drone. And he let Ben name the ones they had in common, including XLR8, which Hayden had tested while everyone was asleep.

"I told you XLR8 was super fast." Smiled the adult in a teenager's body.

Ben then used his speed to finish packing the camp supplies before transforming into a bolt of red lightning.

"I think this is going to be the best summer of my life." Ben said with a smile as he dusted off his shirt.

"Absolutely." Max replied.

"Where did you go, by the way?" Asks Gwen.

"I just needed to take care of a few things before summer really started." Says Ben with a smile, and Hayden doing the same.

Meanwhile, two familiar bullies were hanging from a tree in their underwear.

"Man, how did we get up there?" Asks the taller one.

"I don't know, it happened so fast." Says the smaller one with glasses.

Cars pass them by, while they stand there, screaming for help.

In space, orbiting Earth, a damaged alien warship is being repaired. They had suffered damage while trying to retrieve the Omnitrix, following a lucky shot from the transport ship they had been chasing. Inside, Vilgax was badly wounded in a medical tube, operated on by tiny robots.

"A failure, the creature who possesses the Omnitrix, will soon hang on my trophy wall." Vilgax said menacingly.

But what he didn't know was that there was not one but two Omnitrix, and that the second was in the hands of someone who was one step ahead of him.
