In the morning of day two, in the castle of Melromarc, the three heroes start waking up with a grumble they sit up looked confused of what happened the raven hair spoke "How did I end up here I was going home until a bright light, then heard a loud noise, and I woke up here" to the left of him pale blond continued "Same here I got ready to go to school but the same form bright light and noise" to the other side a bright blonde finally calms that happened to him "That will make the three I walking around the campus of my college until well you guys known what happened next" once there done talking a nurse opened the to see the three males is awake. "Oh heroes, you have awoken. Please stay here. I need to tell the king of the news" The nurse left the three in confusion on what she was talking about.
Back to the in, an already awake Asta just got off the bed and got ready for the day, L popped out of the grimoire to start talking about what to do today. "Alright human let's talk about business on today's agenda" L was on the desk next to the bed. "First thing to do head back to the forest and get more materials to unlocks some shields" "Ok then in second order of business to make of income to buy gears for your journey human" "Right sounds like a plan let's get started" Asta opened his robe to let L in. They got out of their room for the night, went downstairs, and out the building. Sometime later, the teen went to a restaurant to get something to eat and came out with two sandwiches. He put one of them in his grimoire now, and both he and the devil started eating. In the we see, Asta cut down a lot of monsters and picked up some herbs and mushrooms. "I think we're done here. Let's go to find people who will buy these stuff" he was about to go, but stop by L's question "Hey human, how we get here in the first place I was still in grimoire when it happened" Asta decided to tell L what happened with find a book on the ground, from the book glowing, how he crashed to forest, how this stop him touching the swords, and finally told him how shoved his shield in the grimoire. "From the sound of that human, it sounds like you're the shoe hero of the story you were talking about" L response from hearing all that. "I know, but something about seems wrong to me" "Like you should be the hero" "No more these people have bad attentions" "What makes you say that" "I have Ki sensing so I know how some feel people and some of those people are bad" "So you there's more than you think" "Don't know, let's find out later we take one foot at the time" done with their discussion they went back to capital.
At the castle in the throne room the king and the three male heroes will start discussing "Hello there heroes I need to apologize for asking you here at this time may make known who's the heroes names" the king spoke up sitting on the throne. They began introducing themselves "I'm Ren Amaki sixteen years old" next spoke up "I'm Itsuki Kawasumi seventeen years old" lastly the third one spoke up "I'm Motoyasu Kitamura twenty one year old" after they finished with their Introductions they to business. "May I ask what happened to us?" Ren began to ask the king "Well you see, sword hero, Ren, in the middle of summoning you heroes, the ritual that was used at the time blew up luckily you were unharmed by it" the king answered the raven hair teen. "So it didn't blow up what the ritual should have done then" Itsuki asked next "The summoning ritual would have summoned four of you heroes, bow hero, Itsuki" he responded to pale blond. "Last question your highness what happened to the fourth one" Motoyasu asked last "I don't know, spear hero, Motoyasu whether he was summoned here or not we have no clue upon of the shield hero" he answered the bright blonde. They kept discussing for the next hour and sent them off on their adventure.
Back to Asta and L's point of view, they themselves front an apothecary shop to sell the herbs and mushrooms. "This looks like the place we're looking for, human" "Let's go in and see it out" The teen enters the shop, seeing tall shelves of items and potions. Now, seeing an old man behind the counter, he approached the old man to make a sale. "Hello there, sir. is the place to sell some herbs and mushrooms" he began to speak to the shop owner. "Well, it depends on the quality of what you're selling" The teen starts, bringing out the materials he said. The old man started checking materials quality and then gave them a price. "These are some good quality herbs. The mushrooms are fine too, and I can give you fifteen silver coins" Asta took the offer and then bought a book of alchemy and some empty glass bottles. "Hey, do you know where I can buy magic items?" he decided to ask the shopkeeper "Hm magic items, you're looking for their shop down the street. I know the old bat who runs it" After getting the direction of the magic shop, he left the shop and headed toward the direction of the other shop.
Later, with some twists and turns, Asta finds himself in the alley, surrounded by thugs with him in the middle. "This is the second day of being here, and I already have to deal with criminals" The teen didn't hear what the thug leader was saying, he brought out the demon dweller and destroyer swords out the tips of the blades showing out under his robe. And starts attacking the thugs, knocking out, kicking, and some pushing them. A short time later, after knocking out one thug he turned around to get the thug leader hand around his neck "Ha got you little brat any last words" "I'll do you one better" the thug leader was confused until Asta grab his neck back after putting way one of his swords. He tried to overpower the teen, but he was losing strength faster than him, and then he let go of the teen. After Asta was let go, he slammed the leader to the ground and stomped on him, knocked out with a broken nose. "Hey human, your alright he tried to choke you" L asked in concern "Ya I'm fine I went through worse, while in the black bull both my arms were broken before" he put away his other sword he didn't put away. Before he got to leave, he was stopped by the last thug yelling at him, turning back to the voice to see him casting a fireball and throwing it at the teen. Seeing the fireball heading toward him, he grabs the demon slayer sword underneath his robe, spins around and slams the fireball with the flat of the blade sending it back to the user that immediately hints thug no chance to dodge. With that last thug out he put away the slayer sword in his grimoire "Now let's continue to that magic shop" he turned his head towards the top of one of the buildings where he sensed a woman Ki from the roof. She left once he turned in her direction. "Human was someone watching you and how long" "Before I started fighting the thugs she left after I turned in her direction" "Is she one of the bad ones" "No I don't think she is, there were more at night before I fell asleep" they continued walking away.
The woman in question continues to jump away from the scene; she is one of the shadows for the queen. She was doing a routine check around the capital and found a teen with a black robe with bear's ears on the hood in broad daylight. Then follow the teen to see him surrounded by thugs then beat them down, out choke the leader, break his nose, send the fireball back to the caster, and then he turns towards herself. "I still do not know how he found me and how long he knew I had to report this to the others and find out who he is" she continued in the direction she was going.
Returning to the teen and the balloon, they finally made it to the magic shop, well, mostly guessing it because none of them knew how to read the language of this world. " It's a miracle we can even find this place, human" "We really need to find out how to read, L" "After you check out what she sells here first" Asta enters the shop seeing all the magical items like wans, staffs, books, and tools. He finds the old lady checking the bookshelves "Hey there, are you the owner of this shop?" The old lady in mage clothing turned to see who spoke "Oh hello there, youngster oh look at your bear's ears on your hood my grandchild will like that" L is trying to keep his laughing in. She kept going on about how adorable the bear robe was, making the teen embarrassed. When she is done with rants, he gets the chance to ask "So Miss, what exactly do you sell here?" "Oh right, as you clearly see my goods evolve magic in different shapes or forms." She continued from the books that you learn spells, wands & staffs that help casting spells, and magical tools with enchantments for other uses. He was interested in a tool that could light up fire and a pouch that could store more items than normal pouches of the same size. "I'll take these two then" "That twelve silver coins for the two items" he paid for the items and left the building. "Human, why did you buy the pouch? You already have an inventory form the shield" L asked Asta "I'm going to use this to store my coins for I have to take out a handful of coins later" after he explained why he had the pouch and started going to find something to eat.
Back to the shadow woman, she just reported on her finding to her action leader. "So you found a boy who pulled out a big sword, where a black robe with bear's ears, out strength a grown man, and can find you without your knowing" the leader finished listing the report. "Yes ma'am" she responded, kneeling "How interesting we never hear about this person before when did he show up" "I guess he got here yesterday because he doesn't know where he going" "Do you his name or face" "No today was my first seeing him and I had to get away once he turned to my location" "Hm here a order for you keep a eye on him I'll tell the other shadows about this and if it's interesting enough we have tell her highness this" "Yes ma'am" After there done with conversation she left to do her mission.
After some time, the teen of interest was heading back to the forest to check out his shields, and the first one he did was a bear, leaf, mush, wood, fish, stone, book, medicine, UsaLeather, UsaMeat and poison. Some of them give more defense, resistance, fishing, gathering, and medicine efficiency. "Hey human try to make some medicines using the shield" he did what L told him and gathered some herbs. He managed to make two different potions, one for sickness and other for injuries. "It says that the medicine shield can boost the effect of these potions" "That is a good thing because you have nobody to heal you when you get injured" Asta starts thinking of Mimosa and her healing magic. Putting his head down feeling home sick then lifting head up to look up at the sky "I wonder how they are doing now?" he asked out loud.
At the same time, in the Clover Kingdom meeting room, the wizard king Julius Nova Chrono and all of the magic knights captains are in a meeting. "Let me get this straight, one of the black bull members got sucked up by a portal to another world," Jack, the captain of Green Praying Mantises, asked Yami. "Ya sounds about right. The kid couldn't do anything about it if you don't believe me ask Nozel and Fuegoleon they were there too" Jack turn to the captain of the Silver Eagles with a look "Yes I saw same thing that foreigner has seen" "My brother told me the same thing when he was with Nozel" Mereoleona the still acting captain for the Crimson Lion confirmed on what Yami told them. "Alright then, the orders of business one talking about the repairs for the capital and next is the incident with Asta, to keep it short I have cut your guys' pays." Yami and Jack complain about that, but Julius stopped their argument and continued speaking. "And now the issues with the magic book that was brought by the newest members of the black bull, we have it in the magic research and try find out why it take the young man to" when he finished saying that Rill captain of the Aqua Deer spoke up "Where did he end up" "That I can't say but I had people to make copies of the story in book itself" they were passed around the copies he mentioned. After some reading, Dorothy, the captain of the Coral Peacock, spoke up "Why is the shield hero missing its pages? It mentions four heroes." "There were blank pages when the kid opened it" "Yami is right even after Asta was taken those pages remain blank" Julius agreed with him. "So for what I'm reading here, that means this kid is the shield hero this talked about" Mereoleona reasoning why the teen disappeared. "Most likely, we can only hope to find a way to open the portal" When the meeting is done, they take off to their hideouts.
Back to the capital of Melromarc, we met a teen in the middle of the street with a problem. "She's back again" he told L "It's the fourth time today. Why is she even trying anymore?" When he turned his head to her again, she went away this time too. "She keeps coming back later, How do I deal with her" "Human I got an idea all you have to" L was telling his plan to Asta, and he went along with it.
Later at night, the shadow thinks how it was getting easier to hide from him and manage to get closer. "So this where he sleeps at night" she said on the rooftop of the building across the in that he went into. "Still don't know his name or where he came from" she kept getting caught, but it was less and less frequent later on. Now she made it here with no more info than before "How do I get his name, at least?" she asked out loud "Did you try asking" she heard a male voice behind her, when she quickly turned around to get grabbed by the neck, put up and slammed to the ground of the roof. Then she felt her stomach get stomped on. When she looked at who was doing this, it was the teen she was watching. "I guess the plan works getting you close" The shadow revealed that she was tricked, and he was pretending not to notice her. "Now we meet face to face. I want to know who you are" When she refused to respond, he brought out the dweller sword, moving his foot to let the sword on top of her. The woman struggled even more because the sword was very heavy, thinking how he swung this thing around. "Human she not budging let's see who is under the mask" she heard another voice but no one else was there.
Before Asta got to take the mask, he was hurt with flash bangs and smoke bombs. She felt the sword fall off of her and was picked up by two people when sees who it was her fellow shadows helping her "You're alright we heard a noise and found you like that" the three keep jumping away. "He wasn't alone. Someone else was there" The two were confused about that since there was no one else. Before the three knew it, Asta caught up grabbing the two women by the back of the head and slammed into the ground, knocking them out cold.
The one shadow got up and got ready to fight. He turned to her direction. She started to fight him, but nothing was working. He kept blocking and struck back, and she felt the strength of each punch, making her weaker over time she couldn't take it anymore and fell to her knees. When the teen was about to send one more pouch, something wrapped around his arm and pulled away. The same thing happened to the other arm now his trapped both arms are getting pulled. More shadows came to pick up the unconscious and her away from him. Now, the leader was there seeing the boy struggle to see how much trouble he caused. "This is the boy she talked about. You're stronger than I thought" She saw the others' shadows who kept him still getting over power. "But you're too much trouble to deal with girls fire at him" The many other shadows start shooting their spell at him, causing big fire in place. Thinking he was done for she was going to turn back, but she saw a small black ball come out of the fire. It was like the balloon monster you could find here, but it has wings and red eyes. "You humans are all the same. If you don't like it, you get rid of it" She and others shadows never heard one that can talk. "So you're upset we got rid of your friend" "A friend no, plus what makes you think he's dead" The next thing they know, black lightning coming out the flames, then the fire extinguished. It was Asta in black Asta mode, red right eye, black wing & tail, black right arm, bear robe gone, and demon slayer sword in hand. L returned back to grimoire. The shadows never faced anything like this before their leader told the others to leave it to her "I don't know who you are but I have to stop you" she put out her knives "I'm not letting that happen" he gets ready to fight. They began to fight, going at it for a while, one of them tried to get the upper hand, and the leader knows she can't keep this up for long. She decides to set off all her flash bangs to keep him in place and leave a bomb behind. Once Asta got his version back, he saw the bomb and put up his shield. When the bomb blew up, he fell through the three stores building to the ground floor. Luckily, it was abandoned, and now it's on fire. He flew out and tried to look for that woman from before, but she was nowhere to be found. The teen decided to leave and headed toward the in.
Once there, Asta messaged to get to his room without anyone noticing him all tore up and burnt he sat on the bed. L popped out to see him with cuts and burned marks "Hey human, you think the health potions could help with your injuries" he didn't respond and just grabbed two bottles and drank them. With the boost the effect of his shield, the potions were more efficient at healing his cuts and burns disappeared, now unscathed but clothes still wreck he fell back on the bed. "Human why so quiet all the sudden" L got on bed to see Asta looking up to the ceiling "I need to get armor L would be more helpful if I had that" he finally spoke up. "You do that in the morning for now. You need some rest" Once done talking, he's back in the grimoire. The teen set himself on bed and fell asleep right then and there ending the night at day two.
