Summary: Martha is sure she'll see the Doctor again someday.

Martha stood in the street outside her parents' house, saying her goodbyes to the Doctor. Walking away from a life of amazing adventures in time and space was easier to do than she'd thought it would be.

It had been fun, terrifying, wonderful, and sometimes heart-breaking, but she wasn't the same person she'd been on that long-ago day when she'd first encountered the Doctor outside the Royal Hope Hospital. She'd done and seen far too much to be that innocent young woman ever again.

Besides, it wasn't like she'd never see him again. He'd be there if she needed him.
