Hello to all, this is Chapter 18 of the third Arc of Volume 6: Climax in Hueco Mundo!
Intro: The Earth... is a great place where humanity and all other creatures live and learn to evolve little by little, but this great world has Darkness in it too. Evil beings who wish to conquer this world and everyone.
Only one being stood against them to show everyone the power of light and hope, but this great mythical dragon wasn't able to stop them. He gave his powers and hope to a human that was known by his name, the Dragon Knight!
Before this hero also met his end, he gave the legendary Dragon Sword and his hopes and dreams to the next knight, his youngest son who is destined to become a legend by the sides of his comrades and his love. This hero... is the Dragon Knight of Light!

Volume 6: Chapter 18: Fiery Passion Vs Cold Heartless! Dragon Knight Yugi vs the Masked Arrancar!
Previously in DKR:
Unleashing what he considered true despair, Ulquiorra entered his unique second Resurrección, Segunda Etapa. He began the carnage, demolishing Kurosaki and the others with little difficulty if not annoyance. None of them could do a thing as the Ecto-Skeleton is trashed, Shadow overpowered and worst; none of them able to stop Ulquiorra from killing Ichigo in front of Orihime.
And so they watched as the dead body of their friend fell but was caught and placed on the ground by Sonic, arriving too late. Enraged, Sonic vowed to the Espada that he won't get away with this as Ulquiorra is suddenly hit by a combination of paralysis from Judai's Dark Neos, Naruto's Sage Mode Rasenshuriken and Alicia's intense blue flames. However, all it did was leave dust upon Ulquiorra as they and nearly everyone else of Team Dragon Knight fought this menace.
However, none of them could do much. There was a moment when the group had him as Sonic prepared to go Super but that was the moment Ulquiorra was waiting for, damaging Sonic badly and seizing 6 of the Chaos Emeralds to empower him further. It began to be a losing battle and one they would die if not for Ruby, blaming herself for being so weak that her Silver Eyes power awakened and nearly petrified Ulquiorra. He still healed it with the Chaos Emeralds but this moment was all the counterattack they needed as Naruto's Kyuubi enhanced Rasenshuriken did some damage but the point was to separate him from the Chaos Emeralds. Now Shadow had them all and turned into Super Shadow, about to give the Espada what despair really is…
However, Orihime's despair in not being able to heal Ichigo, began cracking down and in response… Hollow Ichigo's powers fully erupted and the Vasto Lorde awakened. The berserk Ichigo completely demolished Ulquiorra, but since he can't tell friend from enemy, he attacked the others and even showed that his power is a rival to Super Shadow.
Is there any hope for them? Could Yugi and the others arrive before it would be too late. EH… Yea, let's hope so with what comes next.
And now the conclusion... last left off since Chapter 11:
Alone where he was left by the Dragon Knight, Maximilian breathes heavily as he tries dragging himself across the desert. He's still deeply wounded by Yugi's last attack, damaging him. He was lucky that boy spared him but crawled as fast as he could when that other Dragon Knight killed that freak of a partner.
"I can't believe this is happening again…'' Uttering out as his wounds continue to bleed him, Maximilian tries to drag himself far away. He's nothing more but a coward, humiliated by the same boy from before who continues looking down at him. He grits his teeth, disproving this. ''To think, someone as I, the former Emperor of the Empire; defeated again by that child. No, I cannot accept this! I-''
He pauses, reflecting and recalls how he lost even with his Resurrección. When… No, how did he obtain such power when he should be in the same level if not above it. He can't comprehend it. How did he do it?
Becoming more enraged as his wounds have become worse, Maximilian yells to the very fake sky. ''What the hell is he?!'' Slamming his fists on the sand, unable to understand any of this. Now he's died here and his plans to reclaim his land, his world, are lost to him.
''My, down aren't we?'' Maximilian widens his eyes, looking forward and a pair of feet are before him. He looks up and before him is a boy, different from Yugi as he smirks. Aigami looks down at the poor former prince, finding his tantrum to be enjoyable.
''Who are you?'' Maximilian demands coldly with a gaze. Aigami still smirks softly, squatting down to him as he tells him. ''Why I wish to help you?''
The former prince looks at him, not following what game this child wants with him. He's never seen him before so how did he get here or why help him?
''Tell me…'' Aigami begins to ask him with a small smirk. ''Are you interested to help me create a new world of paradise?''
Maximilian looks at him, not interested in his so-called new world… but if this is the only way to survive to achieve his goals; he has little choice.
''… I'm listening.'' He responds, causing Aigami to crack a smirk.
Mew Ichigo is still in a hesitative state, not in her right mind after the reveal Aizen told her having an Inner Demon and… and she believes him. Just the image only, the destruction she left; it terrifies her. She's actually scared of the thing whispering nice things to succumb to its power.
''I-I'm…'' She starts uttering, beginning to recall what she's done when she loses control especially in her fight against Kojan.
Jonouchi can tell she's not in her right mind and worse with the masked guy approaching them slowly. She doesn't even notice him with a blank expression.
''Momomiya, snap out of it!'' He yells at her, causing the cat girl to stir up and look at him. Jonouchi then tries reasoning with her. ''Look, I got nothing but my body to fight this guy and he'll LIKELY KILL ME IN AN INSTANT! So right now, focus on the right now.''
''… R-right.'' Mew Ichigo utters out softly. She frowns, admitting that he's right for once. God forbid she ever tells him that. She looks at him and nods though she asks him. ''Don't tell anyone about what Aizen said about me. I need time to tell everyone.''
''… Alright.'' Jonouchi promises, getting that this is a touchy subject and the others would treat her differently if they knew. He knows Yugi would still look at her the same but the others-
Suddenly the masked Arrancar comes at Mew Ichigo as her ears cat twitch and she ducks and quickly leaps backward before his sword stabs the ground where she was.
''Does this guy even spare-'' Jonouchi starts yelling at how rude the guy just leaped in their conversation but his words are cut off as Mew Ichigo kicks him away as she forms her barrier, blocking a slash from the Arrancar's sword. He performs multiple sword swings upon her barrier before the last one cracks and shatters it.
''RIBBON-'' Ichigo tries purring out until the enemy uses Sonido and kicks so hard she's tossed and hits a wall before she's hit by an electrical-like Bala from his left index finger.
''NNNYYAAAAA!'' She screams in agony, hitting through the midriff of her dress that tears that portion off, revealing her midriff. The Arrancar proceeds to fire a few more across each of her limbs as the cat girl screams in agony, damaging more of her outfit like her gloves, her boots and her bands.
"Momomiya!'' Jonouchi yells, gritting his teeth powerless as the cat girl is blasted until the Arrancar stops, lowering his arm. Mew Ichigo breathes heavily, dropping to her knees, badly hurt. He approaches her, unsheathing his sword, swinging it forward to cut her down.
''Leave her be, bastard!'' Acting on impulse, Jonouchi yells as he body tackles him, staggering him only a tiny bit as Jonouchi hits the ground as if he hit a wall, groaning. The Arrancar turns his sight to him, swinging his sword to cut him down first until he's blasted by a Strawberry Bell Check, sending him to the far ends of the room but remains standing.
Jonouchi blinks flabbergasted, turning to see the cat girl breathing heavily, off the wall but badly wounded. Ichigo gives him a glare as he laughs nervously, wanting to help. She sighs before she leaps up forward towards the enemy, holding her evolved Strawberry Rose Bell to her side, glowing brightly as if charging up.
''RIBBON STRAWBERRY SURPRISE!'' She shouts, extending her weapon forward and fires a powerful, heart-shaped, energy blast at him. The Arrancar watches the blast consume him until he swings his sword and cuts the blast in half, exploding away in between him.
Hissing, Ichigo still dashes, trying to form a Ribbon Chidori until she staggers by the voice of Inner Tiger echoing in her mind. ''You can't beat him, not without my help~''
The cat girl panics heavily with widened eyes, having flashes of her fight against Kojan and how she lost control and… and… Just the thought is too much, shaking her head as she yells mentally. ''I-I don't need your help Nya! I want to win without-''
Her train of thought is interrupted as the Masked Arrancar suddenly appears in front of her and nearly slashes her if she doesn't block it with another pink barrier that he cuts through but slowing down his swing as she moves away fast.
''You can't win. You need my-'' The Inner Tiger tries to convince her but Ichigo isn't hearing none of this, screaming telepathically. ''SHUT UP NYA! I don't want to-''
''Momomiya!'' Mew Ichigo snaps out by Jonouchi's yelling as the Arrancar is right above, thrusting his sword to pierce through the stunned Mew Mew. She's not going to-
''Plum Saber: Reflect!'' Suddenly, a light magenta colored shield-like barrier manifests in front of her, blocking the thrusting sword stab, sparks flying out until he pierces only halfway through.
''BLUE INDIGO!'' A blue energy wave suddenly flies out and nearly hits the Arrancar until he uses Sonido to dodge it and lands on the ground, untouched. Jonouchi sighs of relief as Mew Plum lands in front of him, gripping on her Plum Saber.
Mew Ichigo is happy to see her but that other attack; that was-
Appearing in front of her, the cat girl gasps with rosy cheeks to see the Blue Knight, raising his sword forward towards the enemy.
''M-Masaya-kun?!'' Ichigo utters out in shock, completely unaware he came too. Jonouchi makes an awkward face, just remembering him and tells her, pretty late. ''Oh yea, your Ex came with us.''
''Thanks for the heads up, idiot!'' Mew Ichigo yells at Jonouchi, both nervously and in a panic. Still, she smiles at the Blue Knight, happy he came.
''Ichigo…'' Masaya begins to say, looking halfway towards her and smiles. ''I promised you that I would always protect you.'' He then faces forward, gripping his sword tightly with both hands. ''Let me become your temporarily sword until Yugi-san arrives.''
Ichigo blushes red as Skitty runs over and pounces onto her. The cat girl catches the small cat in her arms and hugs her. The pink cat cries, so happy to see her. Ichigo blushes, cuddling her and also happy to see her too.
''And mines too!'' Mew Plum barks at him, joining up beside him as she raises her sword at the Arrancar, demanding him madly. ''You have such nerve kidnapping my friend. Who the hell are you!''
''…'' The Masked Arrancar remains silent until he comes charging at them. Riolu stares at him and can't help but tremble by this evil, cold aura. Mew Ichigo prepares to join them but the Blue Knight dashes forward and intercepts him. The two lock blades, sparks flying out as they strike the other with precise aim and sword swing, repelling or parrying the other.
Mew Ichigo frowns, needing to help but Mew Plum advises her. ''Ichigo, rest up a bit. You don't look so good.''
The cat girl groans but she can't disagree with her. She nods as the dog girl dashes into the fight, getting in between of the two with a strong kick that the Arrancar dodges and she performs thrusting sword strikes that he dodges around them while parrying the Blue Knight's swings.
''Plum Saber: Stun!'' Mew Plum shouts, aiming with her sword as Masaya swings an uppercut slash that sends the Arrancar into the air and she immediately fires a yellow ray at him. The masked foe sees it coming and dodges it with Sonido reappearing behind her. He prepares to cut her down, swinging but the dog girl dodges to the right, smirking as she sensed, heard and smelled him coming with no problem. She twirls around and takes aim with her sword, shouting. ''Plum Saber: Beam!''
She fires a purple beam of light from her blade, stabbing through him and thrusting him into the wall. It pins him but he punches the beam as it shatters like glass. Mew Plum is shocked as her attacker couldn't even stab through him. The Blue Knight charges, swinging his sword that the masked Arrancar counters and easily parries him. The knight then swings and fires a Blue Indigo that the enemy catches with his left bare hand and crushes it with his bare hand, shocking Masaya.
''He's brushing through their attacks like they're nothing!'' Jonouchi comments in horror, not believing this guy. Mew Ichigo doesn't say anything, worrying as this Arrancar is far above stronger than any she or anyone has fought. And worse; it's like he's yet to show his true strength.
Mew Plum watches as the two swordsmen pull back, evenly matched seemingly but something is still wrong. The Blue Knight soon realizes something about how the enemy is swinging his weapon. The way he moves, his swings, his attack pattern; it's all a mirror version of himself. Could this be the enemy's skill? No. It's something else.
''The way he positions himself. His swings and force.'' Masaya starts analyzing his opponent and it leads to one conclusion and one he doesn't like: They fight the same way. But the way he strikes is aggressive, crueler. This causes him to drop his guard as the Arrancar suddenly vanishes and nearly slashes him if he hasn't blocked it in the last second but the blade still cuts deep into his shoulder. The impact sends him crashing onto a pillar, gasping in pain.
''Masaya-kun!'' Mew Ichigo shouts in horror as Mew Plum growls and charges at the enemy. She leaps with a swing that the masked Arrancar dodges and proceeds to dodge a combination of kicks, swings and claw-like palm strikes from the dog girl Mew Mew, evading each of her fast strikes with little difficulty.
Growling even more annoyed, Mew Plum runs at him as she swings her sword, firing a beam. The Arrancar swings with his sword at the attack, slashing it into pieces until he's hit by the ray attack as the real attack, paralyzing him. Mew Plum then jumps up high, holding her sword at the side as she shouts. ''RIBBON PLUM SLICE!''
The saber glows and she swings it over her opponent's head, blasting him with a magenta energy wave that explodes and cracks some of the ground. Mew Plum, somersaulting, lands on the ground gracefully, turning around with a smirk until her confident expression turns grim to see the Arrancar still standing, taking little to no damage at all. Worst, he wipes the dirt off his cloak before turning around to face her, shocking her.
''No way. He tanks my attack like-'' She starts saying until the Arrancar moves with Sonido, no longer paralyzed, as he gut punches her so hard that gags out blood in horror before he holds up that same hand and charges up a Cero across his fearing face.
''Plum!'' Mew Ichigo shouts in terror, running forward until the Arrancar is slash across that arm by the Blue Knight… but his eyes widen as his blade hits his arm but it's still fine. In fact, sparks fly out of it. Could this be these beings' iron-like skin?
The Arrancar then swings his arm, bashing the knight away and then nearly cuts Mew Plum if she doesn't dodge it by leaning downward and performs a strong uppercut kick, launching him backwards. He's pushed backwards as Blue Knight charges forward, surrounding himself in blue energy resembling a comet as he shouts. ''COMET CUTTING STRIKE!'' The comet splits into multiple, smaller versions that all strike the Masked Arrancar. In reality, Blue Knight was attacking him with such speed and slashing power in that single moment before the last hit sent him crashing through a pillar, shattering into pieces.
Mew Plum watches, thinking that it actually works but then the Arrancar emerges from the dust of the destroyed pillar, unfazed. Mew Ichigo sees enough, setting Skitty on the ground as she might jump in.
''This can't-'' She begins to utter until he vanishes and slashes the Blue Knight across the chest. He gasps in horror, dropping on his knees as Mew Ichigo screams, rushing over. The Arrancar then raises his left arm, charging a Cero and blasts it towards her as Mew Plum gets in between, raising her saber.
''RIBBON PLUM SLASH!'' She shouts, swinging her sword downward and releases a much larger, magenta energy slash that clashes against the dark blue Cero, except the enemy's blast tears through her energy wave and Plum widens her eyes as Mew Ichigo manifests her barrier, protecting them from the Cero as it starts cracking it. The cat girl grits her teeth, holding her barrier while the Blue Knight watches, gasping from his wound.
Mew Plum growls, raising her sword forward to do something only to realize her arms are trembling. She's mentally scared as the enemy feels above their combined level. What kind of enemy is he?
The barrier cracks harder as Jonouchi utters in dismay. ''We're goners…'' Riolu growls until he feels something familiar, gasping as he knows it.
''No, not yet woof!'' Mew Plum yells out, using her energy with Ichigo's to maintain the barrier. The Arrancar watches this as he's about to increase the power of his Cero… until the ground begins to shake violently. This surprises everyone as something blasts through the floor and a purple energy flame hits through the Cero, exploding both attacks. Both Mew Mews, the Blue Knight and a panicking Jonouchi brace themselves as the masked Arrancar pulls back just as, emerging out of the hole, is Yugi, twirling around as his dragon wings flap. He looks down at the Arrancar, glaring firmly.
With Yugi here, will he be able to oppose the masked Arrancar?
Commercial Break:
The others watch with Mew Ichigo still smiling. Honda groans, eyes dazed as he's being gripped by the long dragon tail.
''Yugi!'' Mew Plum utters out surprised while Mew Ichigo blushes warmly that she knew he would come. Jonouchi smirks, making his detailed, creepy manly expression. Yugi descends and lands, letting Anzu, Honda, Taichi and Agumon off him all while he glares at the masked Arrancar who stares back at him.
''T-that was such a-'' Taichi begins to utter out, astonished by the ride while Honda's face turns green and pukes in the corner. The others make awkward faces to see Honda still throwing up.
''Is that really Yugi?'' The Blue Knight utters, trying to get up while he's taken back by Yugi's appearance. He looks more like a dragon with those features.
''Nee-san, Masaya-kun; you two okay?'' Yugi asks the two, not looking away from the enemy as he tells Ichigo. ''Ichigo-kun, please heal them.''
Mew Ichigo nods, planning to do so as she runs up to Masaya and pulls him back to the others.
''Yugi, we should get out of here. That one is-'' Mew Plum tells her brother to retreat and get away. Yugi simply nods, agreeing. ''I know.'' He then becomes serious towards the enemy, ''And that's why running away won't save us from him. And he won't let us get away.''
The dog girl startles as Yugi raises his left hand to the side, showing a thumbs up as he proclaims. ''I got this, okay.''
Mew Plum groans, disagreeing with this as she protests. ''Yugi, he's-''
''I know.'' Yugi interrupts, knowing the risk and yet he doesn't have a choice and he doesn't care, staring at the Arrancar with a small smirk. ''But someone has to fight him. Might as well be me.''
Mew Plum frowns, worried, but he's sure about this. What choice does she have? She frowns like she's letting her brother enter a death sentence fighting such a foe. Even if he does look different; she… she doesn't want to lose him. She… she doesn't want to lose her family.
Anzu notices her dismay and smiles, encouraging her kindly. "Jenny-san, trust in Yugi.'' The dog girl blinks, looking at the brunette as she further says. ''Your little brother always finds a way when there's no way to win.''
''I can botch to that.'' Honda agrees with her with a thumbs up, still shaken from his puking. Jonouchi also nods in agreement, suggesting to the older sibling. ''Jenny, I know Yugi can win. I know so!''
Mew Plum looks at them before she lets out a sigh, fully aware she can't say no. Even Mew Ichigo knows this; Yugi wants to fight him badly.
''Man, this guy also looks similar to the other guy.'' Taichi comments, still taken back about fighting human-like enemies that are just as strong as a Digimon. Well… there was Andromon, Myotismon… Piedmon but those were obvious Digimon. This, not so much. Then, what are they?
''So what are they? Like mutants or zombies or-'' He begins to guess, really curious with a puzzled face. Just then he turns and blinks to see the older people looking at him while the cat girl is healing the other guy.
''Um?'' He starts uttering with Agumon waving his claw at them. Jonouchi and Honda blink awkwardly, waving hello back.
''Oh, I'm Taichi and this is my partner Agumon!'' The young boy greets them as does Agumon, smiling. ''Nice to meet you!''
Mew Ichigo finishes healing Masaya, smiling at him before she dashes over to the yellow dinosaur and starts hugging with great affection as she purrs. ''KAWAII NYA!''
Agumon gasps for breath, uttering out to his partner as his face slowly turns blue. ''T-TAI-CHI… HE-LP!''
Taichi sweat drops while Jonouchi groans that it doesn't surprise him that she would do that. Masaya reverts back, breathing as he stares at Yugi's back, feeling all this surge of energy throughout his body.
''He looks completely different and his power is even greater than before…'' He begins to tell himself mentally about his strength and appearance but he can still feel his strong yet kind presence. ''But no doubt about it; he's still the same Yugi-san that Ichigo believes in.''
Anzu also looks at Yugi, holding her right hand to her chest as she hopes he's okay with this.
Yugi stares at the masked Arrancar, standing there menacingly and silent. He breathes as he breaks the silence. ''I'm puzzled. How long do you intend to keep that mask on?''
''…'' The Arrancar does not respond, standing there still. Yugi hums as he taunts him calmly. ''You won't speak huh? You were never the talkative type anyway. Fine then.''
Yugi then presses his right foot forward before he dashes right at him, already swinging and clashing his blade against the enemy. Their collision creates sparks and outward force of energy, pressuring the room around them.
''I-I FEEL HEAVY!'' Jonouchi yells heavily, dropping onto the ground as does the others. Mew Plum is also shocked, theorizing in shock. ''I-It's their energies; clashing against the other with such fierce power.''
They watch as Yugi grinds his Dragon Blade against the Arrancar's sword, sparks flying out heavily as the two back away and charge forward, re-clashing. They swirl around the other, parrying or striking the other back, pressuring the other to attack better but also maintaining control. They keep swinging faster and harder yet agile; both clearly holding back their strength.
However, Mew Ichigo notices something: Yugi would normally be more defensive but he's more offensive. Could it mean that he's confident that he can win?
''I think Yugi-kun is winning.'' She informs the others but Mew Plum blinks, not noticing any of that. ''They seem perfectly-''
''No, Ichigo is right.'' Masaya interrupts, also noticing Yugi moves forward more than zig-zag, a distracted pattern he would fight. Clearly, Yugi is holding back but the enemy could be too.
Yugi starts wielding the Dragon Blade with both hands, starting to swing and adjust his strikes in such a manner that he's able to partly stagger the Arrancar with his parry swings or sword strikes. He then dashes around him, performing a kick that the Arrancar dodges with Sonido but Yugi intercepts with Yin-Yang Dash, nearly cutting him if not for the Arrancar to block it with an upward sword block. Yugi growls as he pushes him downward, crashing the two through the ground.
The tower begins to shake again as the two shoot out from the ground, flying in the air as they clash blades and begin to swing swifter and faster. The Arrancar now grips his sword with both hands too, swinging much faster and precisely but Yugi defends and counters back with his own swing. They parry and swing the other with almost unseen fast strikes; almost like blurs as their mere swinging releases sharp air slashes and they hit across the ceiling, the walls and the floor in their direction.
This goes until Yugi quickly ducks a slash, vanishes and nearly cuts him down from above, swinging a downward swing until the masked Arrancar, appearing behind him with Sonido. He swings in a 90° degree slash until Yugi also vanishes. He appears to his swing, swinging his blade in a circle but the enemy vanishes again but Yugi still swings around, doing 360°-degree arcing swing that connects and clashes against the Arrancar that reappear, about to cut his back only for the Dragon Knight to intercept it beforehand.
Staring at the other, the two vanish and sparks and pressure of force occur across the air; the two moving with their instant movement techniques to cross blades over and over. The others can feel the tower trembling with their mere clash. It goes until the two reappear on the ground, grinding blades as Yugi boot kicks him back. The Arrancar, not completely staggered, swings downward through the ground that Yugi evades, hovering over the floor before coming at him with a kick. The enemy evades it to the side, charging a Cero that Yugi expected as his dragon tail flings and wraps around the enemy's arm, lifting him up over him before slamming downward through the ground. Yugi releases and dashes to the left as the Cero fires and the beam pierces through the pillar.
''Man, that tail comes in handy!'' Jonouchi comments with Honda gulping as he nods. Mew Plum still watches with concern that the enemy is just too much.
The Arrancar flies through the hole from the last clash as he comes at him swiftly and faster, becoming aftermath images around him. Yugi looks around him and just smirks as he vanishes, using a faster Yin-Yang Dash that he zig-zags through each afterimage with such speed before he strikes the real one, blocking his swing. The Arrancar pulls his left hand off his hand and aims it, charging up a Bala but Yugi has already done the same with his left arm, clenching it into a fist while engulfed in purple flames.
''DRAGONAUN KNUCKLE!'' Shouting out as he thrusts his fist against the forming sphere of energy that the Arrancar fires and both attacks clash viciously. The torrent of colliding attacks continues until a small explosion occurs. Everyone watches as sparks are still seen as Yugi flies out of the smoke as does the masked Arrancar, both once more locking blades.
''I am pissed for what you did to me and most of all Ichigo-kun.'' Yugi begins to speak, madly as he recalls his failure nearly a month ago but he soon smiles. ''But I should thank you; it was a wakeup call.'' As he pushes him with a strong sword push and charges at him.
The Arrancar raises his left arm, charging up a dark blue colored Cero in the form of electricity and fires it at him but Yugi responds, aiming his blade and pointing it at him from the tip. ''DRAGONAUN BURST!'' His blade ignites in purple flames and fires a fiery energy shot against the Cero. The two blasts collide and the beam struggles before they explode into each other. Smoke covers the area as the two swing and clash, their strong slash blows the smoke away to reveal the two.
''Now I can repay the favor.'' Yugi proclaims with a small smirk at the masked Arrancar as he flaps his wings. ''DRAGONAUN WINGBEAT!'' His wings glow and flap even harder with such force that it blasts the opponent back to the ground. He then dashes at him, thrusting his blade at him but the Arrancar dodges it at the last second as Yugi's blade stabs the ground as the enemy swings his sword at his neck.
However, Yugi is a step ahead as he has both his left index and middle fingers over his forehead. He immediately vanishes with Instant Transmission, evading the sword swing coming at him before a second later he reappears in front of the Masked Arrancar who's already swung. The masked enemy startles, watching as the Dragon Blade is instantly coated in a purple energy blade, growing so large and massive that it pierces the ceiling.
''DRAGONAUN SABER!'' Yugi roars, swinging the enhanced large energy blade in a downward to uppercut swing as the blade cuts through the ground, shattering apart. The Arrancar tries to evade with Sonido until he's grabbed by Yugi with his left hand, gripping on his right hand wrist, as his swing moves even faster. The masked enemy has little choice as he releases his Spiritual Energy to repel him but not enough as the coated energy of the blade cuts through the left side of his mask. The Arrancar backs away immediately as Yugi gazes at him calmly, swinging his blade to the side as the energy greatsword fades away.
The Arrancar tries to attack him back until the mask cracks again, staggering him as it slowly shatters apart followed by blood not just across his face but also the left side of his chest across his shoulder and down a bit across the chest. Not too deep but good enough.
''Yugi got a big hit!'' Jonouchi yells out, posing manly as does Honda. Mew Plum is taken back while Masaya expects as much. It seems that the new attack has a longer, faster range that Yugi was holding back in the last second.
Mew Ichigo watches closely and slowly widens her eyes in horror, actually backing away.
''It really isn't possible…'' Masaya utters, also horrified. Taichi then notices the expressions of the others, all of them freaking out except Mew Plum who looks uneasy.
''Huh? You guys okay?'' He asks but none of them answer other than Mew Ichigo, uttering in dismay. ''Why? Why didn't I notice it sooner Nya?''
''I knew it…'' Yugi begins to say firmly, glaringly serious with a slight gulp. ''Even back then when I felt your aura; that sheer coldness, I had a feeling that was you.''
The partly masked Arrancar stands there as his mask continues shattering apart.
''I guess Aizen-kun really revived everyone who has ever affected me in an emotional level.'' Yugi concludes, gazing as he takes on a fighting pose. ''So, you're doing this for simple revenge then…'' The mask completely cracks fully, revealing the face of the one fighting Yugi, none other than the alien that nearly killed him. ''Deep Blue-kun.''
Indeed, as he full head mask shatters, revealing it is the same ''god'' alien that Yugi and Ichigo and the others fought long ago. However, his appearance is slightly different. Instead of the long black hair, his hair is now white and his skin even paler. He also has Hollow fragment bone pieces across the side of his cheek, over his long pointy elf ear and cracked horn pieces over his head.
''COME AGAIN!'' Jonouchi, Honda and even Anzu yell out in horror. This alarms Mew Plum, knowing that name and it terrifies her.
''T-that can't be possible!'' Masaya utters, angry that he still exists while Mew Ichigo protests in dread. ''This is not right Nya!''
''What kind of name is Deep Blue?'' Taichi, the only one unaware of that man, asks really confused. The cat girl eyes him and frowns, eyeing Masaya who nods as he should know.
''Taichi-kun, Deep Blue was an evil alien who was about to destroy the planet but Yugi-kun and I stopped him.'' She begins to explain to the young boy about the worst enemy she and Yugi have ever faced, unable to forget that day for that day changed everything. She then forms a frown, finishing the rest. ''And he died. Yugi-kun and the Pharaoh removed him out of Masaya-kun before I destroyed him.''
Yugi remembers that day all too well and he realizes how Aizen brought him back.
''The Hogyoku brought your soul to this world to be revived as Arrancar. Is that what Aizen did to you three?'' The star-headed young man concludes, questioning the alien god of his theory. Deep Blue does not say anything at first, simply recalling… his death. He was vanquished, killed by mere humans… and then he was revived by a man with the grander of being a god. A mockery. He was reduced, a god, to a mere lacking. But, he played along because his moment would arrive and one thing: Revenge.
''… I was the first to be revived, given a chance to end your existence once and for all…'' He finally begins to speak as he gazes coldly and hatefully towards the tricolor head. ''Sir Dragonaun.''
Yugi glares irritated, almost insulted as he recalls his fight with the dragon man.
''I'm not Sir Dragonaun! Or are you telling the one in the Dragon Blade?'' Yugi argues with him, questioning if he knows that Sir Dragonaun is inside his sword. However, Deep Blue ignores him as he proclaims with a cold, unemotional detachment towards him. ''You always find a way to humiliate me and take everything from me, Sir Dragonaun.''
He squeezes the grip of his sword, recalling the defeat he had with that boy… and how he perished when he had every right to destroy that world.
''However, this time you will not win…'' The hybrid alien Arrancar proclaims as his sharp, long pupils gaze towards the Dragon Knight. ''And you will remain dead, forever.''
Yugi glares determinedly, not planning to die here. He grips the Dragon Blade with both hands, readying himself for him. However, Deep Blue is done playing this game with him as he raises his blade forward in front of him, gripping it from the flat side of the sword facing forward.
''Freeze in Hell…'' He begins to utter out. Yugi soon notices his cold breath and how cold the room has suddenly become and growing colder… almost like… Evangeline's- Yugi slowly widens his eyes, realizing what this could be as he turns around and dashes towards the others, trying to warn them by screaming, flying towards them. ''EVERYONE, GET AWAY-''
"Reptil del Infierno.'' Deep Blue finally utters as his body is instantly consumed in a beam of dark blue energy that spreads and consumes the whole room. Outside the tower, the whole pillar is instantly frozen in deep, cold ice.

Author's Note: Before we talk about the elephant in the room; I want to say I am happy how Jenny/Mew Plum and Masaya/Blue Knight handle themselves against the last Dragon Killer Arrancar. Also yes, Ichigo is obviously not in the right mindset; still overwhelmed with the truth of having an Inner Demon and the horror she could unleash if she loses herself like Erika had a few times. It's not that she's afraid; she's afraid of hurting those she loves dud.
And yes, Yugi figured out who the masked Arrancar was way back at the end of Volume 5. However, the reveal… yes, Deep Blue; the one enemy that caused the most grief to both Yugi and Ichigo all the way back in Volume 2 and one of the most terrifying foes they have faced at the time. I assume my readers know him, reading DKR, but Deep Blue is the big bad of Tokyo Mew Mew, the original version, and he was a god with insane power; actually the true version of Masaya and the Blue Knight who hid away to escape his ''enemies'' never clarified but in DKR, one of them is the revealed to be Mew Blackberry. Anyway, he killed Yugi, sort of but was defeated by a revived Yugi and Ichigo, saving the world... BUT since we know Soul Society and Hueco Mundo are a thing in DKR (as well as others), his soul would turn itself into a Hollow and Aizen experimented on him into becoming the Arrancar he is now.
And if Deep Blue as an alien with crazy power was bad; an Arrancar hybrid with some of Yugi's Dragon Knight DNA coursing through him should make him a hundred if not even stronger than that. And his purpose fixated on killing Yugi, or rather Sir Dragonaun hmm.
