The aroma of warm apple pie filled the air, a welcome contrast to the tense atmosphere in Vanilla's cozy living room. Charmy, a whirlwind of energy as always, was happily devouring his third slice, his tiny hands smeared with cinnamon and sugar.

Vanilla, gracefully poured herself a cup of chamomile tea, her movements as fluid as a gentle breeze. She chuckled, watching the young bee nearly swallow his entire apple pie in one go.

"Another one, Miss Vanilla?" Charmy chirped.

Vanilla, smiled gently. "Yes, Charmy, but maybe save some for later. You'll get a tummy ache."

"But it's so good, Miss Vanilla!" Charmy exclaimed, crumbs dusting his orange vest. "These are the best pies ever!" He then proceeded to lick the plate clean, leaving a trail of sticky apple goo in his wake.

"I'm glad you like it, Charmy." Vanilla announced, a soft smile gracing her lips. "I ordered it from a famous bakery in the city. I heard they make the best apple pies. They're supposed to be quite good."

"Mmm," Vector mumbled, He glanced at the pie with a skeptical eye. He took a bite of the pie. "Not bad," he mumbled with a grunt, clearly not convinced. "But nothing beats your famous cookies, Vanilla." He winked at her, hoping to elicit a chuckle. He was perched awkwardly on the edge of the sofa, trying his best to be charming.

Vanilla chuckled. "Oh, Vector, you're too sweet." She said smiling warmly at him.

A warm blush rose on Vector's cheeks. "Still, it's not any worse than those terrible cupcakes Espio bought last month." He tried to make her laugh a little more.

Espio, who was next to him, gracefully sipped his tea, his emerald eyes narrowed as he glared at Vector. "Those cupcakes were perfectly fine," he muttered, his voice a low, soft rumble. "You were simply jealous of my refined taste."

"Yeah, as if." Vector said, his eyes fixed on Vanilla who sat across from him, sipping her tea with elegant grace. He took a sip of his tea, trying to exude an air of calm confidence. But his hands were trembling slightly, and his normally smooth green skin was flushed. The sound of Charmy's enthusiastic munching was doing absolutely nothing to help his nerves.

Espio, meanwhile, was quietly observing Vector's every move. His eyes, sharp as ever, noticed the way Vector subtly adjusted his black headphones, a nervous habit he often displayed when around Vanilla. He nudged Vector's arm, his gold eyes narrowed. "You're about to lose it, Vector," he whispered.

Vector cleared his throat. He had been struggling to keep his eyes off Vanilla's delicate fingers as she stirred her tea. "So," He began, his voice a deep rumble. His golden eyes darted between Charmy and Espio, who sat calmly beside him, a cup of tea resting in his hand. "Uh, Vanilla, how was your day?"

Vanilla, oblivious to Vector's nervous attempt at conversation, chuckled. "It was such a busy day. I had a lot of things to do, that's why I ordered the pies from somewhere else, I didn't have the time to bake anything, though it's good to see Charmy's enjoying them."

The sound of Charmy's munching intensified, driving Vector to the brink of his composure. "That infernal munching!" He grumbled to himself. He could feel Espio's gaze, a silent amusement shimmering in his golden eyes.

"He's very enthusiastic, isn't he?" Espio commented, nudging Vector with a subtle flick of his tail.

Vector cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "Yes, well, that's Charmy for you." He took a large gulp of his tea, hoping the warm liquid would soothe his jittery nerves.

Charmy, oblivious to Vector's growing agitation, let out a delighted moan. "One more bite and then I'm done, Miss Vanilla!" He declared.

"That's good, Charmy. You can have another slice later, though, maybe after Cream gets back." Vanilla said, a soft smile playing on her lips. "She should be back any minute now. She went to pick up some flowers for the table."

"I hope she's not gone too long," Vector muttered, trying to hide his anxiety. He cleared his throat again, attempting to appear nonchalant. "You know, Vanilla, you wouldn't happen to be interested in joining the Chaotix Detective Agency, would you?"

Espio, who had been quietly sipping his tea, nearly choked on it as he heard Vector's words. "What?" he hissed, his eyes wide with disbelief.

"Oh, Vector, you know I'm not cut out for that kind of work," Vanilla replied, a gentle laugh escaping her lips.

Vector subtly shifted closer to Vanilla. "The Chaotix are always looking for talent, Vanilla," he said smoothly. "You've got a knack for organization and that would be a valuable asset to our team."

Espio with a fake smile, whispered "The hell you are talking about?" His normally calm demeanor cracking. Vector just shoved an apple pie in his mouth to shut him up.

Vanilla chuckled awkwardly at them. "I appreciate the offer, Vector, but I'm perfectly happy with my life. And besides, I'm sure Cream would miss me terribly if I left."

Vector's shoulders slumped. "Fine, fine," he grumbled. "But I'm still holding out hope. You know, just in case you change your mind." He winked at Vanilla.

Espio, who had been silently eating the pie that was shoved in his mouth, shook his head, a slight sigh of relief escaping his lips.

Meanwhile Charmy got bored and decided to investigate the house. He found a wall adorned with family pictures. He was busy staring at them when he noticed something coming towards the house from the window.

Suddenly a blur of blue was pressed against the window, a pair of emerald eyes staring back at him with wide, unblinking intensity. Its face was pressed against the glass, a mischievous grin plastered on his face. A jolt of fear shot through Charmy, his tiny heart pounded in his chest.

"Boo!" Sonic said while sticking his tongue out.

Charmy yelped, startled, his wings flailing wildly. He swerved, accidentally colliding with a delicate porcelain vase that stood precariously on a side table. With a loud crack, it tumbled to the floor, shattering into a million pieces.

Vector, in an attempt to help, stood up, but ended up knocking over his teacup instead. The liquid splattered everywhere, including all over Vanilla's immaculate white dress.

In a moment of pure panic, Vector grabbed a nearby napkin and began frantically dabbing at Vanilla's dress, causing more chaos than harmony. The scene was quickly devolving into a comedic nightmare.

Just when it seemed like things couldn't get any more disastrous, Charmy, still buzzing around the room, flew directly into the dessert table, sending pies and cookies flying in all directions.

The room fell silent, except for the sound of Espio calmly sipping his tea.

The door to the living room opened. Cream rushed in, her arms filled with colorful wildflowers and Cheese, clinging to her shoulder. Sonic, Amy, and Tails were behind her, their expressions a mixture of amusement and apprehension.

Sonic whistled, a smirk playing on his lips. "Wow, looks like a storm has crashed through here" he chuckled, his emerald eyes twinkling with amusement.

Tails shook his head at him while muttering "Who's fault do you think it is?" Sonic just pretended like he didn't hear it.

Cream looked up with wide, innocent eyes. "Oh no," whispered Cream. "What happened here?"

Charmy, stood frozen, his little orange vest trembling. "Uh...Well...I...I was just...uh..." he stammered, his voice barely a squeak.

Amy, ever the drama queen, gasped dramatically. "Oh, no! That was Vanilla's favorite vase!" she exclaimed, her hands flying to her face.

Vector let out a frustrated groan. He just wanted to kill this bee.

Sensing the growing tension in the room, Vanilla quickly intervened. "Oh, Cream, those flowers are so beautiful! Thank you, my dear." She gently took the flowers from Cream.

"Charmy, why don't you go outside and play with Cream?" she suggested, her voice gentle but firm. "It's a beautiful day."

Charmy, sensing an escape from the scrutiny of Vector's glare, bounced up. "Oh, okay, Miss Vanilla! C'mon Cream, let's play hide-and-seek in the garden!" He took off, his buzzing wings carrying him out the door.

Cream slowly followed him, though not before giving her mother a questioning look. Her mother just smiled reassuringly at her.

As soon as the door closed behind Charmy, an awkward silence fell upon the room. Vector, relieved, took a deep breath and turned to Vanilla, his nervousness finally dissolving into genuine concern. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice soft.

Vanilla chuckled "I'm fine, nothing serious happened." she said as she refilled his cup. "He's a handful, isn't he?"

"He's like a hurricane, Vanilla," Vector admitted, his voice a quiet rumble.

Espio still kept on finishing his drink. Torn apart between asking the recipe of the tea or not.

"Hey, Vector! What are you doing here?" Sonic exclaimed, his eyes widening as he noticed the large crocodile new... quite shiny look. "Nice looks by the way"

Vector, trying to maintain his cool, cleared his throat once again. "Just visiting," he said, a forced smile on his face, his voice trailing off. He glanced at Espio, hoping for some kind of support. Espio only raised an eyebrow and took a bite from an undamaged pie.

Vector sighed, realizing that his attempt to impress Vanilla had fallen flat. He would just have to try again next time, he thought.
