Annie's POV

Christmas break ended. I was excited to see my friends again.

The night everybody came back Dumbledore had us stay after dinner for two more girls to be sorted.

"Annie, Liya, Ele, my sister Cas is starting today," Sahara told us.

"Cool," I said.

"Was she also adopted by the woman?" Ele asked.

"Yeah," Sahara replied.

"Okay everyone," Dumbledore said, calling for everyone's attention, "we have two girls starting today. They will now be sorted,".

"Tracy Davis," McGonagall said.

Slytherin

We clapped for the new arrival.

"Cassiopeia Lupin-Black,"

"Lupin-Black" and "What?" were words going through the hall.

"I don't know why Lupin is included but it is," Sahara told us.

A girl with black hair, one black eye, and one green eye walked to the stand.

Slytherin

I cheered and Sahara looked slightly disappointed.

"She'll be safe with us," said Ryleigh, smiling her Ryleigh Walker smile.

Cas came over and sat next to us.

"Hi!" she said, a little too excited for my liking, "You guys must be Annie, Ele, and Aliya. Sahara told me all about you".

"She told us nothing about you," said Ele, in the same tone as Cas.

"Why not?" Cas asked.

"Never really had a good time to tell them," said Sahara.

"We were literally telling each other about our families," I said.

Sahara Shrugged.

Later I went back to the dorms with Cas and Tracy next to me.

Draco looked grumpy in the back while playing a game of chess with Theodore Nott, Oliver's brother.

Theodore is about a year older than Oliver, but they're in the same year.

"So this is the Slytherin common room," I told Cas and Tracy.

Tracy brushed her black hair out of her face and looked around.

"Who are the pretty and pouty boys in the back," asked Cas, referring to Draco and Theo.

"That's Draco Malfoy, the pouty one, and the pretty one is Theodore Nott," I told her.

I walked over to Draco, "I thought you said you were good at playing this," I said, in a playful tone.

"Like you could do better," said Draco.

"Move aside," I told him, knocking him out of his chair aggressively.

I knocked out Theo's Queen, both Rooks, and both nights. Then I put him in Checkmate.

"How?" asked Theo, his mouth agape.

"You're looking at the chess champion of Brighton," I said.

"I remember seeing you in a newspaper," said Cas.

"Muggles," said Draco, rolling his eyes, "so you're the new girl besides Davis. You're a Lupin-Black, with Black as your sister it makes no sense,".

"So, you're a Malfoy. Isn't your Mum a Black?" asked Anna, looking up from her book.

"So you're related to Sahara?" asked Blaise.

"I guess so," replied Griffin.

"I'm going to bed," I said, pulling Cas up the stairs to our dorm.

"Hi! Cassiopeia right? I'm Pancy Parkinson, your new best friend!" said Pansy, as we walked through the door.

"Okay, but if we're going to be best friends, you should call me Cas," said Cas.

After many introductions we asked Cas and Tracy why they only just came.

"I was sick with dragon pox, I'm lucky to be alive," said Tracy.

"Apparently my letter got lost. So, Mcgonagall came and talked to me and told me I got to come to Hogwarts with Sahara," Cas told us.

"I wonder how the letter got lost," said Hannah.

"It's happened before," said Daphne, "It said so in 'Hogwarts a History'".

"Who actually reads that?" Mara asked, grabbing a piece of chocolate that Lexie got from Hogsmead.

"People who like history," said RosaLee (who we now call Rlee because of the Rose, RosaLee thing).

"I'm going to bed," I said, laughing.

I laid down and drifted off.

The next morning I woke up with a pounding headache and decided to go to Madam Pomfrey.

When I got there I noticed Cas behind me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"I have no one else to hang out with, and I wanted to make sure you were okay," said Cas.

When I walked in the hospital wing, I noticed Aliya laying down, scars all over her face. Well more scars than usual.

"Miss Potter! What are you doing here?" Madam Pomfrey asked, as she closed the curtains around Aliya.

"I have a really bad headache," I said, "And is Aliya okay?" I asked her.

"Oh yeah, she's fine. Here, I just got pills for the headache," said Madden Pomfrey, handing me a bottle of white Pill capsules.

Me and Cas then went to get breakfast.

We sat next to Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Braddock.

"You must be Cassiopeia," said Hermione, "I'm Hermione Granger,".

"Harry Potter"

"Ron Weasley"

"Braddock Weasley"

"Nice to meet you all. And, you can call me Cas by the way," Cas told them.

Sahara came running over.

"Have you seen Liya?" she asked.

An image Flash to my mind.

A Werewolf

Aliya is a werewolf.

"No," I said, quickly.

"Actually..." began Cas, but I cut her off.

"She's probably studying in the library," I said.

Cas and Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Braddock became good friends after that day.

Why? I have no idea.
