FILE 1 - A New Beginning, Part 1

"Stand, a phenomenon unknown to most of the public, is an ability residing within oneself, taking shape as their emotions grow. Each Stands takes its shape and ability depends on its user and connects with them mentally."

February 7th 2023

6:30 AM, Jamiroquai City

Sunlight streamed through the window of a small house in Jamiroquai City, casting a warm glow on the walls. The city itself had come a long way from its days of poverty, now bustling with life and prosperity. Aiya Aizawa, a 15-year-old high schooler, stirred in her bed as the first rays of dawn touched her face.

Her morning routine was like clockwork - getting dressed, brushing her teeth, and all that jazz. She had been transferred to Jamiroquai City after an unexpected accident involving her mother. Life seemed pretty normal for Aiya in the new city until a certain night came.

Aiya Aizawa was a bright, young student whose life had been turned upside down by the sudden loss of her mother. Uprooted from her quiet hometown, she now found herself struggling to adapt to the loud and bustling city of Jamiroquai while living with her distant father.

On January 25th 2023, a strange phenomenon occurred. A strange beam of light was shining on Jamiroquai High School, after seeing it, Aiya became unconscious for three days. When she finally woke up, she was met with confusion and concern from her already distressed father. But there was something else that she discovered – something extraordinary.

The feeling, the being, she knew it was something special. It was something more. It was like it was part of her, a shadow that she couldn't shake off. A person that she can call a 'friend'. She started calling it 'Plastic Love'. But why it was invisible to everyone else, even her closest friends and her dad... that was another mystery on top of that night's mystery.

With this newfound ability, Aiya's world was thrown into chaos once again as she struggled to understand its origin and purpose. But one thing was certain – her life would never be the same again.

During their 2-week transfer to Jamiroquai High School, her father was preoccupied with paperwork. It was during this time that she discovered the true power of 'Plastic Love'. The humanoid had the unique ability to generate heat from its left hand and the heat is generated from her positive emotions. Unbeknownst to her, this special ability would become a crucial factor in uncovering the secrets of that fateful night and forging new connections within Jamiroquai High School, and it would grow in its strength alongside her in her journey to pursue the truth.

On her first day at a new school, Aiya slung her heavy bag over her shoulder, filled with textbooks and tools for learning. As she stepped into the bright morning sun, the scent of sharpened pencils and fresh pages filled the air. With determination and a sense of adventure, she set off on her academic journey.

She walked to the new school, missing her home in Kanto. Memories flooded back, but she pushed them away. She was determined to make friends and start anew. Doubt and fear crept in as she approached the gates, but she shook them off. This was a chance for a new beginning. Little did she know, this path would alter her life forever.

Lost in memories of her old school, Aiya didn't see the boy running towards her until it was too late. He collided with her, causing them both to fall to the ground. Their books scattered across the schoolyard as they struggled to untangle themselves and gather their belongings.

The male student's voice trembled with nervousness as he uttered a quick "Sorry!" He scrambled to pick up his books, as well as Aiya's, before offering them to her.

"Thanks," Aiya replied in a gentle tone, accepting the books from him. "You didn't need to rush like that."

"I-I know, I'm really sorry!" he stammered, his face turning slightly pink.

Feeling curious about his behavior, Aiya decided to ask him directly as she looked at his face. "Is something on your mind? You seem very nervous-"

Suddenly, her expression changed. The boy she was talking to was Lobo Ryushi; the same boy who had been in the news two weeks ago for allegedly killing his parents without any evidence. He had a bad reputation at school, with rumors and suspicions swirling around him due to the incident.

"How could someone like that be capable of such a heinous act?" Aiya wondered to herself, lost in thought.

The boy's voice, Lobo Ryushi's voice, startled her back to the present. "Hey?" he said, trying to continue their conversation. But as the words left his mouth, the school bell rang loudly, interrupting them abruptly. He didn't get the chance to finish his apology before they were both late to class.

As the young boy rushed off to his classroom, Aiya noticed that he had left a book behind. She quickly gathered her books and belongings into her bag before chasing after him.

"WAIT, YOU FORGOT THIS!" she shouted, hoping he would hear her. However, he was already too far ahead and didn't seem to notice. Sighing, Aiya headed into the school, determined to return the book to him after class.

Entering the school, Aiya couldn't shake the feeling of uncertainty and unease that always seemed to linger in the air. Despite this, she pushed forward and took out her notes to check which class she had next. As someone who tends to forget small details, she always carries her notes with her.

After much searching, Aiya finally found her classroom.

"There it is," she exclaimed with relief. Pushing open the door, she was met with a room full of curious eyes.

The teacher, who had been in the middle of writing on the chalkboard, turned to face Aiya with a sharp look. She nervously swallowed as their eyes met. As soon as Aiya entered the classroom, all eyes were on her. The teacher stopped writing and turned to face her with an intense gaze. Aiya couldn't help but gulp under her scrutiny.

With an unsettling smile, the teacher acknowledged Ayia's arrival. "We were just about to begin." She grumbled loudly "Being here on time helps us all get the most out of what we're doing together."

Her gaze fell upon Aiya, and it was like being turned to stone. "Can we trust you to be more mindful in the future?"

"Oops, sorry teacher." Aiya would always apologize for arriving late to class.

"I despise being addressed like that." The instructor's tone was icy as she slammed her ruler down on the desk. "I prefer to be called Mrs. Yamaka."

"Of course, Mrs. Yamaka. My apologies." Aiya was taken aback by the force of the ruler hitting the desk.

Aiya didn't know what to say. Her eyes were locked on Lobo, who had turned to face her. His eyes were a deep, dark brown, like the earth after a rain. He had a small, almost imperceptible smile playing on his lips.

Aiya was at a loss for words, her eyes fixed on Lobo as he turned to face her. His deep, dark brown eyes reminded her of the earth after rain.

Lobo had a slight smile on his lips as he looked at Aiya.

"Anything wrong, Aiya?" their teacher asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. She shook slightly and replied, "Nothing, Mrs. Yamaka."

Aiya made her way back to her seat next to Lobo.

"Hey," he said, trying to chat with her. "Sorry about what happened this morning." Aiya shrugged it off, saying it was just an accident.

"It's...nice to meet you," Lobo stuttered, feeling his face flush as he introduced himself. "My name is Lobo Ryushi."

Aiya nodded slightly, her smile widening. "It's nice to meet you too." She introduced herself as Aiya Aizawa as she stood down on her table.

She looked at him as she lost in her thoughts again. He seemed so... kind. Yet, there was something about him that didn't sit right with her. She couldn't shake the feeling that he was someone she needed to know.

She knew that this was only the beginning of her story. Whether it was a curse or blessing, it was up to her to decide for herself. Her own story.

The gentle hum of silence filled the classroom as students bent over their textbooks, scribbling notes and solving equations. Mrs. Yamaka can be seen writing on the chalkboard, each stroke is more powerful than the last. Suddenly, a loud snore echoed through the room, breaking the peaceful atmosphere. Mrs. Yamaka's eyes snapped to the culprit - Lobo, slumped in his chair with his head tilted back and mouth wide open.

"Mr. Lobo!" Mrs. Yamaka's words were like the loud bark of a dog, her voice cutting through the buzz of activity. Lobo jerked awake, his confusion evident as he locked eyes with his teacher.

"Yes?" he mumbled groggily, still trying to shake off sleep.

"Can you tell me," Mrs. Yamaka continued, her tone icy, "how glass can be formed from sand. If you cannot answer, you'll stand for the rest of the day as a punishment for sleeping in my class."

Lobo scratched his head, his mind foggy from being rudely awakened. But before he could even attempt to answer, Aiya raised her hand and spoke up.

"Mrs. Yamaka, may I?" she asked confidently. "I'll answer for him."

Lobo looked at Aiya with gratitude and relief. "You sure?" he whispered.

But before he could thank her properly, Mrs. Yamaka's words cut through the air like knives.

"Thank you Aiya, but do you feel the need to protect him?" she sneered, mocking both Lobo and Aiya. "But, carry on with your answer."

Lobo opened his mouth to protest but was cut off by Aiya's confident reply.

"How glass can be formed from sand is simple," she explained smoothly. "By melting sand at high heat, it dissolves into a liquid state and when cooled, becomes glass."

Mrs. Yamaka's lips twisted into a scowl as she realized that Aiya had not only answered the question correctly but had also exposed her own bias and unfair treatment of Lobo. Lobo couldn't help but feel grateful for Aiya's quick thinking and support in saving him from more embarrassment.

"Nice work, Aiya. You're showing more potential than him," Mrs. Yamaka praised Aiya before turning her attention to Lobo. "And as for you, Lobo, if you ever fall asleep in my class again, I will have to remove you from the lesson!" Mrs Yamaka continued her lesson as Aiya stood down.

Lobo let out a groan before taking his seat and giving a grateful look towards Aiya. "Thanks for helping me out, Aiya."

"No problem!" Aiya smiled at him, her smile was filled with joy. "It's what friends do after all."

The school bell rang, indicating that it was the start of a recess.

"Alright class,". Mrs. Yamaka spoke out. "I hope you enjoy your break." She'd walk out of the class as soon as the bell went off.

Aiya's eyes followed Lobo as he exited the classroom, his dark hair brushing against his shoulders. She hurried to catch up to him, calling out his name.

"Hey!" Aiya said breathlessly, holding out a small book she had picked up from the floor. "You dropped this!"

"Ah! Thanks!" Lobo exclaimed, taking back his book with a grateful smile. "I was wondering where it went." He held the book close to his chest, his fingers caressing the worn cover lovingly. "This book means a lot to me."

"Is it something like a diary?" Aiya couldn't help but chuckle, her tone dripping with sarcasm.

Lobo blushed and shrugged sheepishly. "Well, I guess you could say it is."

Before Aiya could respond, she heard her stomach growl loudly. She turned to Lobo with a hopeful expression. "Do you wanna... eat together?"

Lobo's eyebrows shot up in surprise. "Why? Why do you want to...?"

"Because... I just want to see you smile," Aiya said softly, her fingers gently curling around Lobo's as if trying to anchor him to the moment. "There's nothing more precious on this planet than the simple joy of a smile."

Lobo's eyes widened, his breath catching in his throat as he felt the warmth of her touch. It was the use of her 'Plastic Love' that she had unconsciously been using to soothe Lobo's feelings. The intensity of her words sank in, leaving him momentarily speechless.

Aiya couldn't resist teasing him when she saw tears glistening in his eyes. "Come on, don't cry. Be manly!"

Despite his tears, Lobo let out a laugh and wiped them away with the back of his hand. "It's just that..." His voice cracked slightly. "I never had any real friends to begin with... so you being my friend..."

Without hesitation, Aiya wrapped her arms around Lobo in a warm hug. "Don't worry, I'll be your friend forever."

As she held him, she could hear the whispers and gossip quickly spreading around the classroom.

"Wait, Lobo got a girlfriend?!"

"Wait what?! Who is she?!"

"Isn't she just a new transfer student?!"

Aiya couldn't help but laugh at the reactions as she continued to hold onto her new friend and walked toward the cafeteria.

8:30 AM, Jamiroquai High School Cafeteria

"The cafeteria here is..." Aiya looked at her bowl, which held a modest helping of rice, vegetables, and soup. "...well, it's not exactly gourmet, but it'll do."

Lobo chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling as he looked at her. "Yeah, it's not just the food that makes this moment special," he said with a warm smile. "I've never felt this kind of warmth before... having you here with me."

Aiya's cheeks flushed slightly, and she responded with a playful grin, "Oh, and having you around too... It's like my heart's doing a little happy dance, you know? Boom boom, like that!"

They both chuckled at their own words, as they found a table to sit on. A table with no one else sitting with them.

As they sat down, Aiya immediately took the first initiative.

"So then... What is the book about?" She'd look at Lobo with hints of curiosity. "I'm curious."

"Oh... It's a memento from my parents," he said, his voice heavy with sorrow. "I... was..." He hesitated, the words catching in his throat. "... the one who killed them."

"I see..." Aiya's voice was soft with a hint of sympathy. "What happened?"

"Two weeks ago... January 25th... a bright light..." Lobo's voice trembled with uncertainty. "All I remember is a wolf... killing... and now, it's haunting me..."

"25th January...?" Aiya remembered the date clearly as if it had happened yesterday. "I think I was connected too."

"Huh?" Lobo is surprised at Aiya's words. "What do you mean?"

"I too remember some sort of bright light, then..." Aiya tries to recall her past. "I remember awakening some sort of 'power' but nothing else besides that."

Sensing that Lobo was uneasy with his past, she decided to cheer him up, touching his face with her hand, soothing him more.

"Don't worry Lobo." Aiya's voice dripped with sympathy. "I also have the same ability."

The soothing touch of Aiya's hand on him filled him with joy. Aiya would then get her hand off his face.

"Here. Let me demonstrate." Aiya would put her left palm on Lobo's left arm, and her right palm on his right arm. "Tell me, which one feels hotter?"

"I do not sense anything-" Before Lobo could finish his sentence, a sharp burn was felt on his left arm. "Ow!" He pulls back his arm, and a small burn is seen on it.

"That is my power," Aiya said with excitement as she showed off her unique power to Lobo. "I call it 『Plastic Love』."

Suddenly, a loud footstep thud could be heard going toward Aiya and Lobo as they were talking. Everyone was scared and began to distance themselves away from their table.

It was Finn Henley, an infamous bully in Jamiroquai High School. His confident glance was unmatched as if he was the head honcho of this school.

"I see.." Finn Henley said mockingly toward Lobo "You got yourself a nice girlfriend! Haha! But that won't let you off the hook!"

"Look! I'm sorry!" Lobo frantically apologizes but is grabbed by Finn Henley on the collar.

"Oh, you think it is cheap for us to get medicine after the wounds your 'Stand' had caused me?!" Finn Henley's rage is visible in his voice.

"Hey, let him off!" Aiya came to Lobo's side, bargaining for Finn to let Lobo go. "What did he ever do to you?"

"Haha!" Finn chuckled loudly. "Listen here, hot chick."

"Hot chick?!" Aiya's eyes were fumbled with anger and her thoughts combined into a rage as Finn said that.

"This loser over here got his 'Stand' on me." Finn showed a wound on him. A deep wound cut within him that is still bleeding. "And it isn't easy to get medicine in this city!"

"Stand?" she thinks to herself "What is he talking about?"

Her thoughts are then interrupted as Finn is about to hit Lobo with a wind-up punch. At a moment's notice, as Lobo's eyes were closed, he saw... a disembodied hand protecting him.

"What the-" Before Finn could react, the arm punched him. A bit of blood spewed out of his mouth. "Damnit! Is this one of your tricks, Lobo?!"

"It was me!" Aiya spoke out loudly. "I was the one who hit you!"

Finn would drop Lobo to the ground. "Ah, never thought I'd see the day where a hot chick punched me. You're pretty bold."

The disembodied hand would manifest again as it tried to punch Finn. However, another disembodied hand, covered in wrappings appeared and blocked the punch.

"Ah, I see..." Finn said as he looked over at the hands. "You seem to possess a Stand as well."

Lobo cowered in fear as Finn walked closer to Aiya.

From his perspective, Lobo saw something, or someone manifesting from behind Aiya. It looks just like Aiya herself... but with a different face. Both of them look determined to take down Finn.

Then, as he looked at Finn, the hand that protected him from the punch seemingly dissolved into the sand, as a full body emerged from the body of sand. A humanoid figure similar to a mummy, covered in wrappings from head to toe, leaving only its yellow eyes to stare at Aiya and her Stand.

Amidst the intense atmosphere, everyone rushed out of the cafeteria. The dead stare Finn's Stand gave Aiya was nothing to scoff at as she prepared herself.

A fight is on the rise. The atmosphere is shaken up.
