Gensin Nave always hated the wastelands, never a single sign of life outside, no plants, and no society to be seen.
He and his trusty friend Shane were looking for spare parts. The only thing to see is a bunch of dust, shrapnel, and quite an ambiance.
Nonetheless, they persisted in moving forward, like if humanity was still there, but they couldn't find them.
Later, something caught gensin's eye.
Gensin: Shane! Look what I found!
Shane: What is it?
Gensin started to run towards something.
Gensin: A car!
Shane: A car?
Gensin: Yes, a car!
Shane: So what's the deal?
Gensin: The deal is that we can use it to get across from one place to the other.
Shane: It's broken, and I don't know how to fix cars.
Gensin: We can improvise it, I may know how its components work.
Shane: Like putting metals in it till it works.
Gensin looks at shane with disappointment.
Gensin: I know how stuff works.
He removes an old car battery.
Then, he pulls out a homemade car battery made of mercuric oxide, graphite, potassium hydroxide, and copper.
Inside a box, covered in duct tape to prevent spills, he gently puts it in his invention in the car.
He then goes to try and start the ignition.
By replacing the lock with only a lever, it still functions the same as a normal ignition key would.
Now it's time to test it
He turns it,
It works!
The car started, it makes noise.
Gensin: I did it.
Shane: Yes, you did.
Shane was a bit surprised by what Gensin did.
Gensin: Now it's easier, no more walking from one place to another.
Shane: Yeah, I gotta say, you do know stuff.
Gensin takes it as a bit of a compliment mixed with a sorry of what he said earlier. He smiled.
Gensin: Thanks.
There was a sudden noise in the distance.
Gensin turns off the car.
Gensin: What was that?
Shane: You don't think it is, right?
Gensin: Maybe?
Gensin and Shane pull out their weapons, a rifle, a spear, and a metal bat.
Then, as they saw it, a light behind a pile of debris.
They took cover behind a wall from a damaged building. It was getting closer, gensin feels his heart beating, Shane feels his lungs breathing faster.
Shane hands gensin the bat as the light was closer, gensin was ready, and when the light was near.
One swing it hit something, and it fell back on the floor.
Gensin peaked at the corner, a known elderly stitchpunk he just hit. He was still awake, Gensin came over to help him.
Gensin: Are you alright?
Stitchpunk: Yes, im...
He looked at him, smiling with belief. While standing up, he was a bit happy.
Stitchpunk: I always hope there be another.
Hearing what he said, gensin immediately knew he and shane weren't the last humans left on this world.
Shane peaked out from the corner to see him. The stitchpunk turned around to see him, shane hide back.
Stitchpunk: Wait, I'm a friend.
Shane slowly reveals himself to the stitchpunk. He left his weapons behind the wall.
The stitchpunk looks at Gensin, admiring what he looks like, but something caught him of guard.
Stitchpunk: You have green eyes.
Gensin: What does it mean?
Stitchpunk: Most of them I see usually have brown or blue eyes.
Shane: There's more?
Stitchpunk: Yes, there's more. You don't think you're the only ones left.
Gensin and Shane were a bit relieved.
Shane looked behind the stitchpunk to see a marking, 2.
Shane: 2, is it?
2: Yes, how you guess?
Gensin: Well.
2: Well, What were you both doing out here?
Gensin: I have just invented something.
Gensin leads 2 to the car.
He then managed to start it up again and drove it out of its place just 6 inches of.
2 was impressed by what he did, and he took a look inside the engine.
Gensin carefully took some tape of, to have a look inside.
2: The details, graphite, and potassium separate, molded copper.
The homemade battery was separated, mercuric oxide and graphite to make the cathode; potassium hydroxide was used as electrolytes, and copper as the conductor.
Gensin: I need metals for more energy.
2: This place is full of riches, come with me.
2 lead gensin and Shane back to his cart.
He lights up a match for his candle on top of his head.
He then proceeded to look for metals with gensin.
Shane noticed a large artillery shell, he picks it up, wondering if it's safe.
2 managed to find a bag full of coins, bolts, and other pieces of metal.
2: Here...
Shane has his arms up with the shell.
2: Stop!
Shane was close to hitting it with something.
2 gives gensin the bag, shane carefully gives him the shell.
2: Sometimes, some things are better left, where they stay.
He places the shell back on the cart.
They went back to the car to fix the car battery.
Shane notices some green coming out of his pocket. He knew something was gonna happen.
Shane: Gensin, we should leave.
Gensin: What for I wasn't finished.
Shane: It's coming.
2: How do you know this.
Shane pulls something out of his pocket, a circular device of some sort with a mirror.
It glowed for each second.
2 examined the mirror.
2: Have I seen this before?
Before any of them can speak, a growl in the distance was heard.
The Mirror started to glow faster.
Shane gives gensin the mirror.
Shane: Hide!
2 extinguished the candle from his hat.
He then grabs a martini–henry rifle from his cart.
Shane borrowed his revolver.
Gensin, inside of a large pipe, tried to cover the glow from the mirror.
There was a silent ambiance and nothing at sight.
When both of them were looking in the same direction, one sound was heard from behind.
Looking behind.
A claw had strike both on the ground, shane was knocked out, 2 tried to grab his rifle, one claw stomped him.
A beast with a lion skull, rib caged out of metal, and claws out off knifes.
It let out a loud roar.
Grabbing 2, he managed to fire his rifle at the beasts face and tried to stab it before being thrown by the cart. All of everything was knocked over.
Gensin forgot he left his weapons behind that particular wall.
However, one device, a round circular, but with markings on it.
The beast stops and picks up the device.
The mirror glowed brighter, thus bringing the beasts attention, gensin hid the mirror underneath his trenchcoat, the beast takes a close look, shining light at the pipe, gensin hears it coming closer, then it starts to go quiet.
Gensin took a small peak.
The beats slashed his right arm, trying to kill him.
Gensin ducked and went further to the side.
The claws nearly touch his face.
Just when the beast was putting his head in.
Shots from the revolver start hitting him.
Shane was awake and got his attention away.
Shane: Hey kitty...
The beast slowly walks over him, shane picks up a rock.
Shane: Why don't you finish what you started... with me.
The beast glared at his fearless expression.
He then grabbed him by the mouth.
Stabbing his abdomen.
Then, he looks into the pipe.
Nothing.
Gensin managed to escape but couldn't rescue Shane because of his blood loss.
He sees him being dragged away along with the round device.
It was heading to a large building with 3 tall towers. It was far away like 5 miles.
2 was unconscious, gensin tried to go after shane.

From a distance, somebody saw a figure in the wasteland, he was slowly walking, then he fell on the floor.
