Summary: Lelouch had just stop both Emperor Charles Zi Britannia and Marianne Vi Britannia plans to destroy God in C's World with the Sword of Akasha, but it came at a cost to Lelouch. Lelouch is prepared to finish things in a way that no one saw coming, but he is given the chance to fix things and set the record straight to what should be. Will he take this chance to fix the world to be on the path of peace or let the world be on the path of destruction that no one should ever see.

Code Geass: Back to The Past for a New Future
Chapter 1: Setting of the Story (Prologue)
To begin our tale, the world that is known as Earth and what is all is happening. On this planet there are three powers that are at war. The two of three that are fighting are the Chinese Federation and the United Republic of Europia which are also known as either Europia United or E.U. The third is Holy Britannian Empire which is not only the biggest of the three but also controls just about third of the world. Why are these factions are fighting no one can say for sure for the reason.
Our story starts in Area 11 or as it what known as Japan. Once known as the land of the rising sun of the longest time in history of the world. A land that as fill with history, legends, and myths. That was all taken away from them the day that Britannian had launch an all-out attack on not only on Japan but also the other nations of the world. Whenever a nation had loss the fight against Britannian, they were strip of their history, culture, and their nationality identity. They were relabeled as numbers and made into lower-class slave-like workers for the Britannian royal's upper class.
Even when a nation had fallen to Britannian, there were those that fought back in resistance against the Britannian to try to rid of the control they had. The resistance group were labeled as terrorist by the Britannians and at some point, were put down. The Britannians that were either in the army, police, or citizens treated them lower than dirt. They would make false promises, work them to death, make unhuman entertainment for their enjoyment. Some people could be become what was known as Honorary Britannian but even still they were treated as trash by Britannian and were called traitors by their people.
Just as it seems all hope was lost. He made his appearance to the world.

It was seven years after Japan lost to Britannian, two days after the terrorist attack that happen in Shinjuku it came out the Viceroy of Area 11, the 3rd Prince Clovis La Britannia, was killed. The blame was put on an Honorary Britannian Private Officer Suzaku Kururugi as a fell guy by a group known as the Purebloods to put a stop to the Honorary Britannian system. As Suzaku was bring paraded through the street to his execution by the Purebloods. That is when it happened.
A car used by royal family members was heading towards them in front of the so call parade and everything stopped. The flag of Britannian that was on the top front car was suddenly burning of fire from the bottom to top in a sudden fashion. With flag gone a man was reveal, but this man had an unusual appearance.
He wore a black cape with a gold type trim on the edges that was from the ground up. It was also wrapped in a manner of that of vampire that is upside down when sleeping. His face was covered by a mask that was like no other. It was black all round it with a dark blue circle right where the face would be. There were five points on the side and top of the mask that gave it appearance of a crownlike style. And to finish it off was a strange symbol that was place under the blue circle that spread like it was from one ear to the other. Beneath his cape he wore a male Victorian outfit that was design as someone of royalty would wear along with black gloves.
After a moment of taking of this man, the leader of Pureblood and acting Viceroy a man named Jeremiah Gottwald asked this man that appear before him who he was. The masked man replies with the words "I am Zero". Jeremiah demand what did Zero person wanted and Zero replied that he wanted Suzaku. Jeremiah laughed and said, "Why should I give you the murderer of Prince Clovis." And then Zero then replied with "He is not the one who murderer Prince Clovis. I was the one who did."
The moment that this was said, shock ran through not only the people that were there to watch the so call parade, but the people that were also watching this on the tv at either in the homes, bars, or other places that a television were at. Suddenly Zero was surrounded by the Knightmares that were piloted by the Purebloods with their gun arm to fire at him. Jeremiah demands that Zero should remove his mask. Zero moves his right hand to the front of his mask. Just as he was about to touch his mask, he suddenly moves his right arm high in the air and with hand he make a snapping sound with his fingers.
Then the frame cover on top of the car that Zero is on behind him broke apart as it was design for a certain purpose. What was shown with the covers gone was a circler canister that was big enough to possibly hold a person inside. Jeremiah and along with the other Purebloods could not believe their eyes at what they saw. During the fight in Shinjuku, it was believed that terrorist had stolen a canister of poison gas. Jeremiah was angry that Zero had just taken all the Britannians citizens hostage and they did not know it yet. Jeremiah quickly aimed his side arm that he kept on his person at Zero.
"You intend to shoot me. I think you know the consequences should you miss," Zero said as saw the gun pointed right at his face. Jeremiah held back a curse as he realized that what Zero said was true. "What is your demand then," Jeremiah asked in an anger tone in his voice. "How about a trade. This canister for Suzaku Kururugi. Think about it Jeremiah, for the life of one Eleven, you'll save the lives of countless precious Britannians. I don't think it's such a bad idea for you," Zero replied back. Jeremiah was just about to snapped at how this Zero person in front of him was acting. Jeremiah reset his focus with his gun and the Purebloods in thier Knightmares di the same with the guns.
Then Zero said the following words in tone that sounded threateningly, "Are you sure about this? You want the public to know about Orange?" Zero tapped his foot twice on the car roof to signal the driver to move forward slowly heading towards Jeremiah. "If I die, it will all go public. If you don't want that to happen," Zero continued to talk. Jeremiah was confused with what Zero just said. Just before Jeremiah could say something back, Zero said, "Release Suzaku Kururugi to me, and do everything to aid our escape!"
Suddenly the personality of Jeremiah changed for no reason. He agreed and had a solider escorted Suzaku towards both Zero and driver who appear to be a girl that was wearing a mask that covered her eyes and nose with mouth left uncover along with a hat. Just as the exchanged was made, the Purebloods in their rage towards Zero for killing Prince Clovis started to move in to kill them. "It seems like it is time to go Zero," the girl that was by Zero said to him and Zero replies, "You are right." In a quick movement with his left hand showed a detonator to all and he pushed the button on it. The canister back on the started to release a cloud of dark red smoke from within it to the air around it.
The moment that the Britannians citizens saw the red smoke, panic had gone off in their minds as everyone ran away in terror trying to save their own lives not caring if they were tripping other people around them. In the mist of the smoke the Purebloods made they moves towards the Zero and the other two. Jeremiah suddenly was stopping those around him as he aided the escape of the trio. They jump off the side road and into a tarp that was set up to slow their fall and ripped right into an open roof of a vehicle below that. The cover on the vehicle closed quickly and took off in a rush before anyone knew what happened.
It was later revealed that the dark red smoke that came from the canister did not contain any poison, but it was harmless red smoke that make to be a smokescreen. But this event is what allow to show that this man who calls himself Zero to only save the life of Suzaku Kururugi, but showed that he was not afraid to fight back against the Holy Britannian Empire. It was also from this point on the Zero would be known as the black demon by the Britannians. There were those who saw this around the world from Britannian, China, E.U., the areas under Britannian rule, and even the Japanese that were now refer to as simple as Elevens. All of them asked this one question in either in their minds or even out loud.

The true identity of Zero is a 17-year-old boy by the name Lelouch Lamperouge or as he was once known in another time Lelouch Vi Britannia the 11th prince of the Holy Britannian Empire. He was the son for Emperor Charles Zi Britannia the 98th Emperor of Britannian. His mother was one of many wives the Charles had during his reign as emperor was name Marianne Vi Britannia also known as Marianne the Flash for her skill with a Knightmare frame known as Ganymede. Lelouch has a younger sister by the name Nunnally Vi Britannia. Lelouch also has half-bothers and half-sisters from the other wives that Charles had in his life.
The life that Lelouch had in Britannian was peaceful as he spent time with his mother, sister and a few of his half-siblings. He was also refered as the black prince in his youth. All was nice and calm until the night of that faithful event. Lelouch was not present for what happen, but the aftermath was not good. For you see his mother was shot in cold blood dead and his sister was both blind and was unable to walk any more. The attack referred as the Assassination of Marianne Vi Britannia hit some people hard that were close to her.
There was an investigation into who was behind this attack, but it was stopped by none of then the Emperor Charles. When Lelouch heard this, he marched into the throne room where not only Emperor Charles was at but also other nobles of certain household and Lelouch half-siblings were present. Lelouch questioned his father on his cold apathy to his wife's assassination and Nunnally's disablement. The Emperor replied coldly to Lelouch that was no need for the weak for that is royalty. Lelouch shocked by what the emperor said to him as he just basely said that he did not care for both his dead wife and Nunnally. Lelouch quickly look around the room towards his half-sibling for help. Only to his even more shock to find none.
It was at this point Lelouch looked at the emperor with anger and told him that if this was royalty is then he wanted no part of it and he gives up his claim to the throne. This came to a shock to his half-siblings for what Lelouch had said to the emperor of Britannian. Emperor Charles showed no emotion to this, and he then banished both Lelouch and Nunnally from Britannian to Japan to live for now on.
When the two got to Japan, they were taken in the residence of the Prime Minister of Japan at the time was Genbu Kururugi, the father of Suzaku Kururugi. It was a rough start at first for both Lelouch and Suzaku, but they soon became the best of friends. Lelouch was enjoying his new life in Japan with his sister Nunnally and his friend Suzaku. It almost seemed like this peaceful life would last forever, but it did not. A few months had pasted when out of nowhere the Holy Britannian Empire launched an attack on Japan. Lelouch, Nunnally, and Suzaku were lucky to not be in the house at the Kururugi residence for a bomb dropped by the Britannan had been released right on top of the house and exploded into nothingness.
As the days passed, the war grew worst and worst. It was no long safe for both Lelouch and Nunnally. The both of them started to head to Tokyo to where the Ashford Family were located at. The Ashford family were friends with Marianne. Because of this they were high in nobility, but when Marianne was killed, they lost that nobility and became a minor noble family rank. As Lelouch look out the war-torn land before his eyes at the destruction left in the wake of the attack from Britannian. It was at this moment that Lelouch would make his biggest decision in his life at this point. He swore that would destroy the Holy Britannian Empire no matter the cost. He knew it would take time and planning to accomplish this.
Lelouch also knew that both bis life and Nunnally's were in danger if either the Japanese found out then they would be killed for revenge or Britannians found them then they would be forced to return and possibly be use political pawns. Lelouch made sure to cover any trails of their turn identity. They dropped the last name Vi Britannia and adopted the last name Lamperouge.
When Britannian had conquered Japan and rename it Area 11, it had changed in way that was bad for the former Japanese and a so call good way for the Britannians people. The Ashford family had decided to open a school called the Ashford Academy in the Tokyo Settlement. This is where both Lelouch and Nunnally had been hiding for 7 long years since the attack. Lelouch had spent time when not at school to take care of Nunnally. It was not long since both the Lamperouge siblings came to Ashford Academy that the head of the Ashford family and the principle of the academy Ruben Ashford had decided to help Lelouch with his sister and hire a maid to help and her name is Sayoko Shinozaki. Miss Sayoko was great at her work as a maid and Lelouch was glad for the help.
As the years went by, Lelouch ended up making friends in life in school. First was Milly Ashford who was the granddaughter of Ruben Ashford. She is a nice person, but once she has a plan in her head there was nothing to stop he. She was the president of the student council, and she had this crazy mad power overload thing she had went palnning crazy events. Lelouch was sure that if Milly was let loose in Britannian with this type of power she would probably have the emperor shaking in fear of her. At times Lelouch almost consider doing it if he had the chance. This was Lelouch first friend and Milly know the truth about both Lelouch and Nunnally and made a promise to never mention the truth and to do what she could to keep them safe.
The next person is Shirley Fenette. At First Shirley did not like Lelouch at first, but that changed one day. Lelouch discreetly humiliate a road rage driver that was abusing an elderly couple while taking no credit for. Since that day she had been curious about the person known as Lelouch Lamperouge. She eventually falls madly in love with him and Lelouch has no is often teased by Milly for her crush on Lelouch. She is not only on the student council with Milly and Lelouch, but she is also a member of the Ashford swimming club. The third person that is on the student council is Rivalz Cardemonde. Rivalz has an unrequited love for Milly and often tries to impress her. He sometimes works as a part-time bartender/waiter. He pretty much gets along with just about everyone at the academy and enjoys hanging out with Lelouch.
The last person Nina Einstein and she is a very quiet person in the academy. Both Nina and Lelouch are able to get plenty of work done for the student council despite the crazy that comes in the form of Milly Ashford. Nina is often found with her laptop in front of her when not in class. Nina also has a fear of being around Elevens for some reason. So, with Milly, Rivalz, Shirley, Nina, and Lelouch make up the Ashford Academy Student Council with Nunnally being an honorary member of the council. These days that Lelouch has spent at the academy were some of the peaceful times, but Lelouch does not let time peacefulness get to him because if he let the peace into life, it will just be taken away from him again. Even during the peace, he has never forgotten his plan to bring down the Britannian Empire and also find out who killed his mother. Lelouch also plans that once the Empire falls, he will try to make the world into a gentler place for his sister to grow up in.
While Lelouch days were spent at the academy, he often skips his classes, mostly PE class, and goes gambling with nobles by beating them in chess which he has played since childhood. Lelouch always wins every match he played through the years. With the winning that Lelouch has earn, he mostly uses the money to make sure that Nunnally is taken care of and rarely uses the money on himself for selfless reasons. This is how he usually spent his days until that faithful day in Shinjuku.

It all began when a small group of Japan resistance group had just stolen a canister that is to be poison gas. Once word got out that terrorist had poison gas the Britannian military had gotten involve with the chase and the recovery of the poison gas. During the chase, somehow Lelouch was stuck in the truck with canister unnoticed to everyone. When Lelouch go his bearing straight, he tried to hide the best he could as a red-haired girl came through a door that was connected to cab of the truck he was in. He noticed that the girl had climbed into a Kightmare frame that was also in the truck that he somehow missed seeing it. Once the girl entered the frames, she started the frame and opened the back door of the truck.
Once the doors opened, the Knightmare frame that was hidden in darkness was reveal. The frame was colored in both red and dark red on different parts of it and the frame was known as Glasgow type. The girls suddenly launch herself in the frame at the enemies in front of her. From what little that Lelouch could see from his spot, he could tell that girl had some skills as a pilot. Lelouch did not realized how much time had passed until the truck ended up in an abandoned subway tunnel in Shinjuku. When the truck stopped moving, Lelouch climbed out the door and was then stop by a solider of the Britannian military.
The solider ended asking if Lelouch was with the terrorist and Lelouch responds with it is all a misunderstand. The solider took off his helmet to show his face to Lelouch and he is shocked to see that it is Suzaku who he has not seen in 7 years. Suzaku explains to Lelouch that he is now an Honorary Britannian now. Meanwhile in the truck, the driver in on the verge of dying decided to push a switch in the truck that will active the canister with his final breath. The two seen the canister active and were being prepare for the poison gas only to find no poison gas. The canister opened open to reveal a girl with long lime green hair and yellow eyes that reminds a person of a cat. She was wearing a white prisoner outfit that was made to keep a person from moving around too much, unable to use their hands, and unable to talk with their mouth as well.
As soon the girl was revealed to be in the canister, a group of men show up just then and the men happened to be part of Prince Clovis Royal Guards. The head guard gave a command to Suzaku to shoot Lelouch for find out what was in the canister was no be a secret. But Suzaku refuse to do so and the head guard ended up shooting Suzaku instead. Lelouch ends up believing that Suzaku is dead until in the coming days that Lelouch learns Suzaku was still alive and was told by Suzaku when that met again that a pocket watch that he had on his person stopped the bullet and he got knockout. As the head guard shot Suzaku, there was a sudden quake that cause some debris to fall on the guards which allow Lelouch and the green-hair girl the escape they needed.
As they follow the tunnel that was in front of them, they found themselves in what looked to be a warehouse. It was here that Lelouch saw another group of Royal Guards there as they are killing the Elevens with no remorse in their actions. Lelouch and the girls tried to hide the best they can until the Lelouch's cell phone went off and giving away their position. Just as the guard was about to shoot Lelouch, the girl jumps in front of Lelouch taking a headshot for him. Lelouch catches the girl's body in his arm as he fears that he is next to be kill. The only things that were running through Lelouch's mind was his sister Nunnally face as she smiles at him and his revenge at the Empire for all this mess.
The next thing Lelouch know is he hears a voice in his head asking him if he wants power and then if so, he needs to make a contract with her. At this point Lelouch did not care and said yes to it. Suddenly the world around Lelouch change as the voice spoke more about how she will grant him the power of the king known as Geass. What seen like minutes for Lelouch was really a few seconds that had passed. Once Lelouch was calm he activated his Geass for the first time and command the guards to shoot themselves. The guards all pointed the guns at either themselves or at each other and then they pulled the triggers on their gun with no signs of turning to stop it. Once the guards are dead, Lelouch laugh like villain once he realizes that with this power of Geass that he has he will be able to bring the fight to Britannian and destroy them with it.
It was at this point that a Knightmare frame known as a Sutherland entered the warehouse. The pilot of the Sutherland saw the dead bodies of the Royal guard and Lelouch as the only living person in the building. When the pilots talked threw the speaker of the Sutherland, it was revealed that the pilot was woman who went by the name Viletta Nu. Lelouch tried to use his Geass on her, but he discovered that he was unable to do so with her inside the frame and he had to be in range of her in person. Lelouch told her a lie that got her out of the frame and proceeded to use Geass again with this time being successful. Lelouch was able to get both the frame and Viletta's gun. Before Lelouch left the warehouse, he quickly put the green-hair girl body away from other dead bodies on the ground and he hope she finds in the afterlife.
As the fighting continues to rage on in Shinjuku, the red Glasgow was now fighting a few Sutherlands and was slowly being push back. The pilot hears a voice over her radio and giving her directions. Having no other choice, she decides to follow them. She leads the Sutherlands in a tunnel and not even 5 minutes when they enter the tunnel there was a train heading right at them. The voice told the female pilot to jump on top of the train and she ended up doing it with a successful landed safely. The Sutherlands that were follow were not so lucky except for one who jumped on to the train. While he was in midair from the jump, his frame was suddenly shot at from a hole in the tunnel from another Sutherland from what the pilot could see before the cockpit was ejected from the frame before it was destroyed.
The female pilot took a moment to catch her breath just as she felt the train was stopping. She ended up seeing some of her comrades show up right where she was with the train. They ended up informing her that was a voice that came through their radio to meet here. Then the voice came on the radio again and told them to open the train compartment to reveal a bunch of Sutherlands frame and weapons. This resistance group now had a chance to fight back against their enemies. The voice gave them a few minutes to get themselves ready for the fight that was to come. Back the Sutherland that shot the other Sutherland in the tunnel, the pilot of the Sutherland just so happened to be the voice on the radio and this person was no other than Lelouch.
Once preparations were made with the group, the fight was soon upon them. With the Sutherland that Lelouch had, he coordinated with his now call allies to fight the enemies. While this happened, with Price Clovis, who was in the Britannian mobile land base known as a G1, was getting frustrated with how many troops that he was losing so quickly. He then decides to launch a new a new Knightmare frame that was made a project from his half-brother, the 2nd prince Schneizel El Britannia. Back with Lelouch, he was feeling high in pride for he believes that victory was so close in hand. That was things took a turn in a direction he did not see coming. Out of nowhere a new Knightmare frame showed up on the battlefield. It was gold and white in color and the style of it made it look like some sort of knight and later would discovers the name of the frame is Lancelot. This new frame was quicky taking out each of Lelouch's allies one by one.
Lelouch had no choice at this point and order a retreat to all the remanding people to leave as quicky and safely as possible. From here Lelouch was able to sneak into the G1 base disguise as a solider with helmet to cover his face and get Clovis to call for a ceasefire in the battle in Shinjuku. Once the ceasefire was called, Lelouch took off the helmet and revealed his face to Clovis. Clovis was shocked to see with his only eyes to see that his half-brother Lelouch was still alive and not dead from the reports the Royal Britannia family had received from about 7 years old after the war. Clovis tries to sweet talk Lelouch into coming back home, but Lelouch was not having that and pointed the handgun that he acquired from Viletta.
As Lelouch held the gun to Clovis, it was time for Lelouch to get some answers that he is wanting for 7 long years. Lelouch activated his Geass on Clovis and asked him who killed his mother. Clovis answers back with that he did not know anything, but there are two people that would possibly know the answer. Lelouch then asked who they are and Clovis then replies back with the name Princess Cornelia Li Britannia and Prince Schneizel El Britannia. With these two names Lelouch was shocked and knew what his plans at the moment involved now. With answers now in hand, it was time to finish thing here and get back to Nunnally for the night. Lelouch had stopped his Geass on Clovis and Clovis was then back to how he was before the Geass had happened. Lelouch thanked Clovis for the information which left Clovis confuse and the then Lelouch shot Clovis that killed him in an instant.
With things all taken care of, Lelouch once again snuck away from G1 base and headed off in the direction of the Tokyo Settlement. He manages to get back to Ashford Academy late at night when he got back. Enter the building of the Student Council that Ruben was kind enough to let Lelouch and Nunnally to stay at while in the academy. Lelouch stopped by the room that Nunnally was sleeping in, and he walked over to her. Lelouch took a few to few moments to look at how peaceful Nunnally was sleeping at that moment. This reconfirmed Lelouch's determination with his plan against Britannian Empire. As Lelouch left Nunnally's room and headed back to his room for the night, Lelouch knew that from here on out his hand would be cover in the blood of those who will kill in the way of his plan. But Lelouch could never prepare for troubles that would come to not only him, but also those that are close and around him in this war against Britannian.

After the events of Shinjuku, he ended up meeting the red-hair girl that piloted the red Glasgow. He finds out from Rivalz that the girl's name is Kallen Stadfeld and she come from the Nobel house of Stadfeld. Kallen is often sick and rarely shows at academy. Later when Lelouch and Kallen are alone, Lelouch used his Geass on Kallen to get answers and learns that Kallen is half-Britannia and half-Japanese. He also learns that she hated the Britannian Empire with a passion for what they did to the Japanese. When the answers that he got, Lelouch stops his Geass on Kallen and before he walks away, he uses Geass one more time on Kallen to give a command. Only to discover that the Geass did not work like it did before. Lucky Lelouch was able to get away in time. Later Lelouch began to test his Geass to know what it can do. Kallen was suspicious of Lelouch and thought that he was the voice on the radio. Kallen was soon welcomed as member of the Student Council.
After a mishap that involved a bottle champagne, Kallen was in the shower and Lelouch came in with spare clothes for her. Kallen was about to get her answers when the phone rang. On the phone was the voice of the guy that was on the radio during Shinjuku. After getting instructions from him, Lelouch and Kallen joined the others as the news came out that Prince Clovis was murder. Kallen and her friend meet up with the guy that was on the radio and was told to call him Zero. Zero said that he would rescue Suzaku from death. When the rescue was complete, both Zero and Suzaku talked. Zero tried to get Suzaku on his side by showing him the corruption that was Britannian. But Suzaku refuse and said he would do things his own way from inside Britannian and he left.
Later Lelouch would meet with green-hair girl that be believed to be dead and learned her name id C.C. Soon Cornelia arrived in Area 11 and began to hunt for Zero. Cornelia's sister, Princess Euphemia Li Britannia, had Suzaku enroll at Ashford Academy as a student and both Lelouch and Suzaku met once again. Suzaku academy life was bad at first because of the Britannian bulling him. After an incident that involved a cat and Zero's mask, Suzaku was welcomed as another member of the student council and his academy life improve a bit better after that.
Cornelia had decided to set a trap for Zero in Saitama. In the end, Zero was almost caught, if not for the unexpected from C.C. that saved him. Lelouch realized that he could not do this alone, and he would need an army of his own to fight Britannian. It would not be until the events at the Lake Kawaguchi Hotel, where members had taken Britannian citizens were taken hostages by the Japanese Liberation Front or known as JLF, that Zero would appear to not only save the hostage including Princess Euphemia among them, but to reveal his group that would be known as the Black Knights. The Black Knight started small by hitting drug operations around a few places around Area 11. At one of the drugs bust, Kallen discovered her mother among a few others that were under the drug known as Refrain. As Kallen fought against a Police base Knightmare frame in the warehouse, Kallen found out that her mother only stayed in Stadfeld household as a maid and treated horribly by Kallen's stepmother was for Kallen's sake. This knowledge in her mind fueled the fire in Kallen to fight to the best of her skill against Britannian to free Japen and try to mend the pieces with her and her mother.
The first battle battle for the Black Knights against Britannian would be at Narita. Cornelia had found out that Nagita was the headquarters for the JLF. As the battle between Cornelia's forces against the JLF began, it did not take long until the Black Knights entered the battle by causing a landside with the Black Knights newest made Knightmare frame known as the Guren MK-II and the pilot was none other then Kallen. The battle seemed like it was the Black Knights victory with help from Tohdoh and the four holy swords as they piloted the Burai Kai and attacked any Sutherlands in they almost had Corneila right where he wanted her but stopped by the untimely arrival of the Lancelot. It did not go as planned for Zero, and soon, the battle ended with the Black Knights leaving the battle, but felt a bit of pride in their attack against Cornelia and her force. It was not until a few days passed that both Lelouch and Kallen learned that the landslide that they caused killed Shirley's father. The Black Knights would once again fight Cornelia and her forces at the docks. During the battle, Zero was ejected from his Knightmare by the Lancelot and was knocked. Both Shirley and Viletta see Zero without his mask. Shirley took Zero's gun and shot Viletta, who was later found by Ohgi with amnesia.
A few days later, in Nagita, Lelouch was looking for Shirley and eneded meeting a man by the Mao. Mao also had the power of Geass that allowed him to read people's minds. Mao had a crazy amount for love for C.C. that was considered creepy. Lelouch finally found Shirley, and he used his Geass on her to erase her memories of him in her life.
Lelouch was able to set a trap for Mao that involves Geass control police that shot down Mao. Lelouch thought this was over until somehow Mao survived and kidnapped Nunnally. With Lelouch distracting Mao, Suzaku was able to save Nunnally. Lelouch used his Geass on Mao to keep him from talking, but he was killed by C.C.
After some time passed, the members of the four holy swords came to the Black Knights to rescue Tohdoh from prison. Zero rescued Tohdoh, and with both Tohdoh and the four holy swords in new Knightmare frames called Gekka, they were able to fight off the Lancelot with some information provided by Zero. When the cover on the cockpit of the Lancelot was cut off, all who were either there or watching on tv were shocked to see Suzaku was the pilot. Later, when the Black Knights retreated, Princess Euphemia declared Suzaku would be her knight.
Zero launches an operation to capture both Suzaku and the Lancelot on Shikine Island. It was almost a success, but it was stopped by Prince Schneizel with a floating battleship called the Avalon to bombing everything on the island. Zero used his Geass on Suzaku to live in order to survive the attack. Somehow, Zero, Kallen, Euphemia, Suzaku, and Cornelia had ended up on Kamine Island during the Avalon bombing.
Zero found Euphemia on one part of the island, and on another part of the island, Kallen and Suzaku found each other, which Suzaku discovered Kallen as a member of the Black Knights. With Zero and Euphemia, Euphemia called Zero by his name Lelouch, and he was shocked she found out his identity. Later, with Zero, Euphemia, Suzaku, and Kallen ended up at some ruins on the island. Both Zero and Kallen stolen a new Knightmare frame protype called Gawain from Britannian to escape the island.
During the event at Ashford Academy, Princess Euphemia announced the area around Mt. Fuji into what would be called the Specially Administrated Zone of Japan or the SAZOJ. This zone would allow the Elevens to be referred to as Japanese again. She also asked Zero, his hand in helpping with this zone. During the commemoration ceremony, Zero appeared, and both him and Euphemia went to have a private meeting with just the two of them. At first, Lelouch was going to have Euphemia shoot him with his Geass, but he changed his mind and decided to help her. Lelouch began to explain his Geass to Euphemia but did not realize how much stronger his Geass had become. His Geass had activated and ended up making Euphemia order a massacre to all the Japanese that were there.
Lelouch tried to stop it but was too late. Lelouch as Zero was forced to use the situation for his goal to rally the people to his cause to fight against Britannian. Lelouch was able to isolate Euphemia in private and with heavy heart and reget he kill Euphemia, the one other person in his family that he did not want to killed.
It was not long since then, when Zero launched his attack on the Tokyo Settlement that would be known as the Black Rebellion. During the battle, many things had happened. Viletta recovered her memories and shot Ohgi. Nina created a nuclear bomb to avenge Euphemia but failed to explode. Kallen reveals herself to her friends from Ashford Academy as a member of the Black Knights. Lelouch used Geass on a captured Cornelia and learned she had nothing to do with his mother's death, and Schneizel may have a hand in it.
C.C. learned that a person by the name V.V. had taken Nunnally from Ashford Academy to Kamine Island and informs Lelouch about abandons the Black Knights to save Nunnally. The Black Knights were easily defeated once Zero was gone . Once Zero arrives at the ruins on Kamine, he is confronted by Suzaku. Kallen also arrives as well and watches on. Suzaku shoots Zero, which hits the mask and splits apart, revealing Lelouch's face to both Kallen and Suzaku. Kallen is shocked to learn who Zero really is, but Suzaku does not care since he blames Lelouch for killing Euphemia and the peace for Japan.
Lelouch asked Suzaku to help him save Nunnally, but it was rebuffed instead. Suzaku then reveals that he knows about the Geass that Lelouch has by V.V. and what Lelouch could do with it. As both Lelouch and Suzaku are about to shoot each other, Kallen runs away with both tears and confusen with the truth tha reveal to her. Suzaku was able to knock out Lelouch. Later, Suzaku brought Lelouch in front of Emperor Charles on his knees. The Emperor then reveals that he also has Geass, which is shown in both eyes and not the left like Lelouch has. Suzaku asked the Emperor to be made into the knight of round for being him Zero, which the Emperor agrees. Suzaku covers Lelou's left eye as the Emperor comes closer as Lelouch tries to break the hold that Suzaku has him in.
It had been one year in Area 11 since what is now known as the Failed Black Rebellion. Members of the Black Knights are either in hiding, killed, or in prison until their execution. Among the Black Knights to be said that was killed was Ashford Academy, Lelouch was running away from a P.E. teacher who was Viletta. Once Lelouch escaped from Viletta, both Lelouch and his brother Rolo headed to gamble at Babel Tower. When they got there, Lelouch was slammed into by a familiar red-haired girl who started to clean the mess she made. Out of nowhere, she was grabbed by man, who was a bodyguard to a noble. Lelouch challenged the noble in a game of chess to win the red-hair girl. The man agreed, and the two began the game.
As the game was being palayed, a blimp that was in the air was heading towards Babel Tower. The game was concluded with it being Lelouch's win, which shocked those watching. The noble went back on his word and was going to kill Lelouch. Before anything was done, all of a sudden, there was an attack on Babel Tower. The red-hair girl was about to grab Lelouch, but it was too late because Rolo grabbed him first and headed to an emergency exit. The girl was mad and was about to be grabbed by the bodyguard from before.
Before the guy had a chance, the girl quickly took him down with close quarter combat. The girl was really Kallen from the start. She started to head to a certain location. Both Lelouch and Rolo reached a safe spot to catch their breath. Lelouch noticed a guy above head with a gun aimed at Rolo. Lelouch rushed to Rolo to save him, which Lelouch was able to do, but he ended up falling down a hole in the floor that was right by them. The ones that were attacking Babal Tower were none other than some of the surviving members of the Black Knights led by C.C. and Urabe, one of the four holy swords. They had only one mission on their mind.
Lelouch landed on a tarp that stopped his fall. Lelouch found himself in a room with a bunch of dead bodies, and then a Burai showed itself to Lelouch. The cover of the cockpit opens up to reveal its pilot is C.C. Before anything is said, C.C. is shot from behind by a group of soldiers that looked to be Britannian. Two soldiers came on the sides and started to burn the dead bodies to cover the evidence of them being killed there. Lelouch watched on aa the head of the group told Lelouch that they are part of a task force to capture C.C. and they were going to nowgoing to kill Lelouch.
Lelouch was feeling both helpless and powerless in the situation he found himself in. Just then, a voice asked if he wanted power, and Lelouch replied yes. The dead girl body moved and then used her power to reawakened not only his Geass but also his memories. Armed with his Geass, he ordered the soldiers to kill themselves. Once the soldiers were dead, Lelouch remembered what the Emperor did, and that was manipulation of his memories. Lelouch realized he had a sister and not a orders the Black Knights to counterattack the Britannian that showed up at the tower. As Lelouch was conducting the plan for them to , he was confronted by Kallen and demanded to know if Lelouch used Geass on her to fight for him. Lelouch told her he did not, and the two had reconciled the trouble between them. Before the Black Knights made their escape, they were attacked by a new Knightmare frame that was never seen before it was shown to be like a golden knight. This Knightmare was somehow to disappear from one spot and appeared in another like it was teleporting.
Urabe ended up giving up his fight to give Lelouch, Kallen, C.C., and the remaining Black Knights the chance to escape. Lelouch used bombs to collapse Babel Towel and used the destroyed building that fell as a road straight to the Chinese Federation consulate. From the consulate, Zero broadcast a message to aired that he has returned to take up the fight against Britannian once again. During the broadcast cast, the golden Knightmare from Babel Tower showed up, and the pilot exited the cockpit to reveal it was Rolo.
Rolo received a call from Viletta to find out where he was since Lelouch had returned to Ashford Academy. This confused Rolo on who was the Zero that was broadcasting right at this moment. After the broadcast at the consulate, the Zero, who did the broadcast, entered a room with Kallen. With them, the only two in the room, Zero, then took off the mask to show that it was C.C. with a recorder that Lelouch gave her, and Kallen was shocked that she was not informed about this.
With Lelouch back at the academy, this caused the Special Division led by Viletta, which made them doubt that Lelouch had returned as Zero. Lelouch secretly did an investigation into Nunnally's whereabouts and learned that no one at the academy did not know her. Lelouch came to the conclusion that the Emperor had used his Geass to do this. Later outside the consulate, Guilford gave an ultimatum to Zero on live tv to show himself or let the Black Knights that have been caught to be killed.
Lelouch had a plan to confuse the Special Division so he could was stopped by Rolo, and Lelouch tried to use Geass on him, but Rolo used his Geass to prevent Lelouch controlling him. Lelouch figures out Rolo's Geass allows him to stop time around in a certain range of his person. Lelouch convinces Rolo to spare him for the capture of C.C. Rolo agreed but told Lelouch that if he lied, he would kill him.
With the deadline approaching, Zero made his appearance. As the fight between Zero and Guilford was about to begin, the ground suddenly collapsed, causing everyone to fall into an area of the consulate. Rolo was piloting the golden Knightmare known as the Vincent ready on act on to either kill Lelouch or catch C.C. But Lelouch had a plan made that cause Rolo to abandon Britannian and join Lelouch.
Later, at Ashford Academy, Suzaku returned to see if Lelouch had regained his memories. When a plan party for the returned of Suzaku was just about over, with a bunch of problems that involved C.C. and Arther the cat. Lelouch was with Suzaku, and the two were talking. Suzaku calls the new viceroy that was coming to Area 11. Once Suzaku handed the phone to Lelouch, he was shocked to hear Nunnally's voice. Lelouch realized that this was a trap by Suzaku to see if he had his memories or not.
With the quick help of Rolo's Geass, Lelouch was able to fool Suzaku. Lelouch was able to blackmail Viletta into helping by not revealing her love with Ohgi. Later on, the Black Knights attacked the air convoy that was transported Nunnally to Area 11. Zero's plan to get Nunnally away from Britannian was folded by Suzaku and two others from the Knight of Round. Once Nunnally was in Area 11, she stated that she would try to continue Euphemia's plan for the SAZOJ again. Many of the people were against it because of the events a year ago.
Lelouch was in depression because he falled to keep Nunnally safe from being used by Britannian. Lelouch was at a construction yard for the work to rebuild the Babal Tower. Lelouch had cut him off from any communication from the Black Knights. Kallen goes in disguise to look for Lelouch. Lelouch knew he could go up against Nunnally. Lelouch was able to find a drug vile that contained Refrain. Just before Lelouch injected the Refrain into his body, Kallen shows up and destroys the vile. She then slaps Lelouch hard in the face for him to snap himself out of this depression he was in.
Later that night, the Black Knights were all in the submarine base known as the Ikaruga to come up with a plan. Then, they were attacked by the Britannian navy division under water. When all hope seemed lost, Zero contacted the Ikaruga with the order which they followed that turned the battle in favor of the Black Knights. Zero then accepts Nunnally's offer to join the SAZOJ. In a private meeting, Zero requests to be exiled from Area 11 for being one million people to the SAZOJ, and it was agreed upon.
At the opening ceremony, Zero pulled off a plan that released a smokescreen that blanket the area for a few minutes. Once the smokescreen cleared, all the people were shocked that the one million people who showed up were now dressed as Zero. Because it was agreed that Zero would go into exiled, Suzaku had no choice in letting the millions go to avoid a massacre from happening.
The Black Knights were now in the area of the Chinese Federation. The Ikaruga was getting an overhaul change on its appearance. Zero learns that Chinese princess, Tianzi, was to be wed to the 1st Prince Odysseus Eu Britannia. This wedding was planned by High Eunuchs and Prince Schneizel. Before the wedding begins, a man by the name Li Xingke launches a coup d'etat against the High Eunuchs. In the chaos, Zero appears and takes Tianzi hostage.
Zero with the Black Knights had escaped with Tianzi. The High Eunuchs told Li Xingke that if he got Tianzi back, he would be forgiven for the coup d'etat. Li Xingke agrees, and he was given the Knightmare frame called Shen Hu. When the Shen Hu appears in front of the Black Knights, Kallen fights him with Guren MK-II but runs out of power during the battle and is captured by the Chinese Federation forces.
When Zero heard that Kallen was captured, he was mad on the inside for a reason that he did not realize because of the fight that the Black Knights were in. Soon, the High Eunuchs showed their true colors and betrayed Li Xingke and his forces. Zero tries to reason with the High Eunuchs, who openly admit their treason to both the Chinese princess Tianzi and the Chinese citizens to be allies for Britannian. What the High Eunuchs did not know Zero was broadcasting this discussion live, and all the citizens of China were enraged and caused rebellion.
It was at this moment that Zero appeared on the battlefield from the Ikaruga, which was now a flying battleship base of the Black Knights. Zero was now ready to fight the High Eunuchs forces with a new Knightmare frame known as the Shinkiro. Zero was able to use the power of Shinkio to destroy most of the High Eunuchs force. Li Xingke was able to kill the High Eunuchs and then forge an alliance with Zero. Zero learns that Kallen and the Guren MK-II were handed off to Suzaku with the Britannian forces that were with Prince Schneizel. Zero was once again enraged when he learned this but kept a clam persona to everyone around him.
While Lelouch was Zero in China, there was another Lelouch that was seen at Ashford Academy. But the true of this second Lelouch was that this was really the maid Sayoko Shinozaki, who was secretly a ninja as well. Her job was to keep up the appearance of Lelouch at the academy. It would not be long before the real Lelouch came back to check in with how things were going in Area 11. Once the real Lelouch returned to Ashford, he was greeted with the surprised that two Knights of Round members, Gino Weinberg and Anya Alstreim, were joining the academy and the student council.
Once back at Ashford Academy, Lelouch was so busy that he was not sure if there was an end in sight with all the work he had to do. One part of his work was to establish alliance with other nations to fight Britannian. The second part was trying to plan a way to find and rescue Kallen because he refused to leave her in the hands of Britannian. The next was his work on the student council, which he was used to. The last of his work was all the dates that filled his schedule because of Sayoko. All this had Lelouch busy on days end.
Milly had decided to host one last event before her graduation and called it Cupid Day. Just as it seemed like it was not going to be too much trouble, Milly had placed a bounty on Lelouch, which was the fear on his face as he realized he was a target for everyone at Ashford. Both Rolo and Sayoko helped Lelouch to the best of his abilities, and Lelouch had to use his Geass to help him out when needed. It was Shirley that caught Lelouch at the end, and two became a couple that brought a smile to Milly's face.
As Shirley walked around in public with a happy smile, she was caught in a blue field that came and vanished just as quickly that no one noticed. All of sudden, Shirley remembers everything from the truth of Lelouch being Zero, Nunnally, and knows the false memories from the past year. The cause of the field came from one man who happened to be Jeremiah Gottwald, who was to be believed to be death on two different times. The first was when he was ejected from his Sutherland from being attacked by Guren MK-II in Nagita. The second was during the Black Rebellion when. C.C. tried to kill them both by pulling him and taking the both of them to the bottom of the ocean to be killed by the imploding pressure depth.
Jeremiah was testing the new weapon in his cybernetic body he now has. The weapon in question was none other than a Geass Canceller. With this, Jeremiah would bring this fight to Zero. Lelouch was getting things set at the train station to fight Britannian to take back not only Japan but also Nunnally. Jeremiah finds and corners Lelouch, but Lelouch set a trap for Jeremiah. Before Lelouch kills Jeremiah for good, he learns that Jeremiah was once one of guards for his mother when Lelouch was older and was deeply saddened that he could not save her children during the attack on Japan believing to be dead.
Lelouch reveals his true identity to Jeremiah, which cause him to swear loyalty to Lelouch. While Lelouch was busy with Jeremiah, Shirley ran into Rolo and revealed that she knew Lelouch was Zero and Nunnally. Rolo then kills Shirley to keep her quiet and prevent her from trying to help Lelouch before she can tell that part to Rolo. Lelouch finds a dying Shirley and tries to save her. Shirley tells Lelouch everything she knows with her dying breath. She tells Lelouch that she loves him just as death comes for her life. Lelouch picks up Shirley's dead body and crises his heart out for another person taken away from his life. Rolo tells Lelouch that he killed Shirley later that day.
It was then that Lelouch planned to kill Rolo without his knowledge for the revenge of the death of Shirley. At Shirley funeral, it was said it was suicide. Lelouch did not show up, which cause Suzaku to be suspicious. Lelouch with Rolo, Jeremiah, C.C., and a few Black Knights went to attack a base of the Geass Order led by V.V., thanks to the information from Jeremiah. During the attack, Lelouch planned to activate a bomb planted on Rolo's Vincent. But that was stopped by Cornelia, who went missing after the Failed Black Rebellion.
Lelouch ended up finding V.V. who was dying by what look to be a giant stone door that he had seen in the ruins on Kamine Island. Lelouch took notice that V.V. was not healing like he saw C.C. done before. Before Lelouch could do anything, a red light came from the door and Lelouch found himself in C's world with the Emperor in front of him. Lelouch launch a glass made device from his Shinkio that scattered that allow to cast his Geass with reflection at the Emperor. The Emperor ended up killing himself by shotting himself, but Lelouch never gave that order. Then the gun wound heals and the Emperor was find.
It was them the Lelouch realized the Emperor had the same immorality that both C.C. and V.V. had used before. Before anything could be done or said by either of them, C.C. came out of nowhere to save Lelouch from the Emperor, but it came at the cost of C.C. losing her memories of who she is and Lelouch. It was not long after the attack on the Geass Order, with Cornelia as a prisoner in cell on board the Ikaruga, that the Black Knights were ready to fight Britannian once again.
The Black Knights had rally 47 countries to form the United Federation of Nations or as the UFN. Then they declared war on Britannian to liberate Japan. A big force of Britannian military force and the Knight of Round went sent to Area 11 for the Battle to come. Before the fight, Nina, who was not seen since the Failed Black Rebellion, was working with Prince Schneizel to create the weapon known as the Field Limitary Effective Implosion Armament or the FLEIJA. Nina had the Lancelot equip the FLEIJA in hope of killing Zero to avenge Euphemia death.
Lelouch and Suzaku meet up and Lelouch admits he is Zero. Suzaku asked Lelouch some questions which Lelouch answers truthfully and begs Suzaku if he gives him Nunnally he would stop the war that was going to hit Area 11. But before Suzaku could give an answer, a force of Britannian forces from Prince Schneizel surround Lelouch led by Kannon Maldini. Lelouch was captured and was betrayed that Suzaku had set a trap for him. But Lelouch had plan to get out of this situation he was in by the form of a Geass control Guilford that would take place by using a certain motion.
With escape from Schneizel forces, Lelouch headed to battlefield with a control Guilford. As the battle rage in both in the air and land, Lelouch had sent Sayoko into infiltrate where Kallen was being held and Rolo to get Nunnally. But Rolo had plans to kill Nunnally without Lelouch knowing. Sayoko was able to free Kallen and the two headed to where the Guren was located, only to find it different then Kallen remembers. It was now known as the Guren S.E.I.T.A.N. Eight Elements. Kallen took the new Guren to the skies to join Zero in battle. Then Sayoko went to search for Nunnally.
As the fight continues, with Kallen killing the Knight of Round Luciano Bradley, who is known as the Britannian Vampire. On the verge of death, the Geass commands the Lelouch used on Suzaku kicks in and causes him to use the FLEIJA in hope of taking out Zero. But he misses and it completely obliterates a massive section of the Tokyo Settlement before everyone's eyes. Rolo radio's in Lelouch and informs that Nunnally was killed in blast range from Suzaku using the FLEIJA.
Once Lelouch heard this, Lelouch break down at losing the last member of his family that he cared about. Later Prince Schneizel called for a ceasefire and asked for a meeting between him and the Black Knights. Lelouch was to devastate to attend the meeting. It was here that Prince Schneizel ended up revealing Zero true identity as Prince Lelouch Vi Britannia and the power of Geass. Prince Schneizel had used a recording that Kannon had when Lelouch was captured earlier as evidence. Both Cornelia who was freed from her cell and Viletta also confirmed this fact as well.
Prince Schneizel had the Black Knights believing that Lelouch had used his Geass on them for him to use them as he pleased. It was here that Prince Schneizel offered a dead to Athe Black Knights. If they agree to betray Lelouch and kill him, then he would give the Black Knights Japan to them. All the members agreed with no questions. Kallen visit Lelouch in his room to see how he was doing, as she was unaware of the meeting that was taking place.
Ohgi had called Kallen to bring Zero to one of hangers for a quick discussion. As Kallen and Zero head to the meeting location, Kallen was trying to cheer Lelouch up. Just as they got there, Lelouch was about to tell Kallen something but was interrupted by the sounds of guns being loaded with bullets. Kallen and Zero looked around and saw that all the members of the Black Knights had their guns on the two of them. They also saw Prince Schneizel, Princess Cornelia, Kannon, and Viletta were among them.
Ohgi mention that the Black Knights knows the true of who Zero really is and the power of Geass he has. He also goes on how he uses it on the Black Knights. Zero takes off his mask to show his face as Lelouch and drops the mask which breaks on the ground. Kallen tries to defend Lelouch, but some the Black Knights soon says that she under his Geass. Lelouch sees that Kallen is going to be shot alongside him. It was then he decided to use one more lie he could think of that would save Kallen from being.
Lelouch ended up laughing like a mad man and told everyone present that they were all fools and were nothing more than pawns for him to use for his plans. The enraged the Black Knights and this cause Kallen to be shocked by Lelouch words. As moved away from Lelouch as starts to hate Lelouch for using her. But before she was out of range of Lelouch to be shot, she heard him say in a quiet whisper that no one heard but her. He said the following words in a soft whisper, "You have to live, Kallen."
Kallen was about to asked Lelouch what he meant by his word, but it was too late. Just as the Black Knights were about to shoot Lelouch, he suddenly disappeared. It was then the Shinkiro was active and launched from the Ikaruga. It was Rolo that was the pilot of Shinkio with Lelouch in the cockpit with him in Shinkiro. Rolo had used his Geass to save Lelouch. Rolo passed on some information the Emperor was on Kamine Island. The Black Knights launched the Knightmare to kill Lelouch on the Shinkiro. Rolo kept using his Geass to escape the Black Knights. He was successful, but it came at the cost of his life by heart failure by overtaxes from his Geass.
Lelouch took the opportunity that Rolo had given him and decided to finished things off with the Emperor and get the answers from him. Lelouch was going to get both his answers and revenge one way or another. This was promise that he was making to himself as he piloted the Shinkiro towards Kamine Island.

A/N: I will admit that for the record that when I story this story, I had no plan for a prologue. But that changed when I started typing. I also did not mean for it to be this long either.
